Jennifer: Previously on "farmer wants a wife,"

Some relationships took a big step forward...

I wanted him to know that I really do care about him.

...But big decisions led to shocking goodbyes...

Things have gotten worse with my dad, and I have to go.

Joy: Our relationship has grown so much,

But it never for me got to a romantic level.

I'm somewhat in shock.

...As the farmers had to decide their final two ladies.

I think the world of her, but I don't think that she's the woman for me.

Tonight it's the final day on the farms...

Taylor: I've really grown to love this place.

..Before our farmers hit the road and head to the city

To meet the ladies' friends and family.

Ty: It is kind of daunting to think that I could possibly be

- Meeting my future in-laws. - I'm just happy to be able to finally meet y'all.

- ( doorbell rings ) - I've never brought a guy back to meet my family,

And I'm a little nervous.

And the heat will be turned up on our farmers.

My only worry is how you guys fit long-term.

- Um... - I would hate for her to have a broken heart.

- Do you like him? - I don't know what to think.

It's the last day on the farms.

With our farmers down to their final two ladies,

It's almost time for them to hit the road

And head towards the bright lights of the big city.

Each of the final ladies will share a glimpse into their lives

In an effort to help the farmers make their final decision

Of which lady they hope to one day share their future with.

But before they travel,

The ladies have one final morning

In the place they might one day call home.

If it is me and you in the end,

I'm excited to come to go hunting with you.

- Yeah, it'll be so fun. - That's literally all I've been wanting to do.

It'll be special.

You know, I'm 27 years old, I got a great foundation,

And I'm looking for a wife.

And I want my dream woman who's ready to move in

And build a homestead together.

What's your longest relationship?

My high school boyfriend, we dated for almost a year.

So you haven't dated a man more than a year-- or a boy?

No, I haven't.

I'm really good at opening up to people, I think.

It's just giving them my whole heart, it's like,

- I don't rely on anyone, you know? Yeah. - Yeah, you're very independent.

With the two girls that I have left, sydney and kait, both girls are so great.

They have so many qualities that I respect in a woman.

Remembering when I first met you and I felt like you were a little quiet.

You didn't talk much. You've opened up so much since then.

And it's been such a pleasure getting to know the real kait.

My mom, she always says, "find someone that brings out the best in you."

It definitely makes me happy to see when you're happy,

I've been very blessed and lucky and happy to have you on the farm.

I'm very excited to meet your family.

But that is something I'm worried about with moving here potentially,

Would be how far away I am from them.

I definitely understand your concern.

I've heard about her family from the beginning.

Asking somebody to move away from their family

And to move the farm, I think that's a big step.

The thing about emerson, she understands farming.

Our lifestyles seem to be a really good match.

Being down to the final two women,

I think that it's very important to get to know these girls in their hometown situation.

These family visits could definitely sway my decision.

It's a good spot to soak it in.

There's a lot of emotions going through my head right now.

I've really grown to like it here,

And are on their way to visit the first of their two ladies' hometowns.

Today ty is in yonkers to meet melody's family.

Ty: I've had a connection with melody from the beginning.

- ( shouts ) - yeah! We are good at this!

I think life with melody would be super exciting,

But we come from two completely separate places.

She's city girl and I'm country boy.

So I need to know that she really wants to be a part of this life.

Jennifer: Ty is meeting with melody's mom becky,

Dad peter, and siblings romeo, brittany,

Cassidy, and peter.

Melody: My family is basically me,

So I'm just excited to see how ty and I intertwine.

I have not been to new york city.

- Mom. - Ty, how did melody do in the farm?

She did good. She was not scared of anything.

- Really? - Romeo: You know what? That's great.

Because the years that she spent on the basketball courts

And her making sure she did ice skating,

That's the reason why we weren't worried about her on the farm.

- She always-- yeah. - We are definitely a new york city family.

I put her in skating when she was a baby.

I used to tell her, "you stay on the ice."

She would be like, "my feet hurt."

- I'm like, "no. Get it done." - at the end of the day,

You need us to go milk some cows, we'll take care of it.

( laughter )

I wanted to ask ty, um, kids?

- Do you have kids? - Yes, I've got a daughter who's 12.

Would you like to have more?

- Would I like to have more? - To have more kids?

Ty: I'm not sure.

For me, at this point in time,

It's not like, oh, having a child right now

And going through all the baby stuff--

It's thinking about the timeframe when she gets old,

Like, how old I would be at that point.

- Brittany: How old are you? - I'm 42.

- Okay. - Well, melody, do you even want kids?

I think it's something-- I don't need them right now.

I think having somebody with a daughter,

And I could be a bonus mom to her

Would completely be okay for right now.

- Ty's daughter is amazing. - Oh, you met her?

Jennifer: In wisconsin,

Brandon is en route to grace's hometown,

A stone's throw from milwaukee.

Brandon: It's been a while since I have met a girlfriend's family,

So there's definitely some nerves coming back up.

It's very natural with grace.

She's very sweet, she's very pretty, she's very smart.

She's obviously pretty comfortable on the farm,

And there's definitely a lot of possibility there.

But grace is very involved with her family,

So is she really ready to give that up

And possibly live in the middle of nowhere?

- Grace: Are you guys excited to meet brandon? - Yeah.

Jennifer: Today brandon is meeting grace's mom,

Dad, aunt, and two sisters.

My connection feels really, really strong with him,

So it's everything to have my family's approval.

It's important to us that we like him, too,

Grace: I don't know how it's gonna go with my family.

It's kind of just like a big test for if I see myself with him long-term.

- How was the drive? - The drive was good. It's beautiful out here.

I don't know if grace has told you,

But it's four hours to the airport.

Through the mountains, over through a valley.

Like, here, you make it into town, like, 20 minutes.

But where I live, rush hour is 3:30

When everybody gets out of school, and it's about 15 cars.

- ( laughter ) - crazy.

How many were in your high school?

- So I graduated with 23 kids. - Oh!

And only about 90 students k-12.

Amazing. So you've known grace now for that brief period of time.

- Yeah. - What have you learned about her that you like?

I mean, obviously personality.

She's very funny. She's very genuine.

And what have you learned about yourself as you've gone through this process?

Just kind of learning that it is nice

To have somebody around the house and have different perspectives.

So, for me, it's been eye-opening in the sense

Of I am hoping to find the right person to grow with.

Grace did say that you've been single for five years.

So I'm just wondering, you know--

- Is it me? - "is it me?"

Was it on purpose that you were single for five years?

- Or was it-- yeah. - So, it is-- dating in the valley is hard.

It's not like you can go out to the bar and meet somebody new.

You walk in and it's like, "hey, james. Hey, rhonda."

So I definitely live in an extremely remote area, but I do love what I do.

In the field taking care of something that's alive...

His reflection on who he is, very honest.

But the concerns that I have,

We're 19 minutes from downtown milwaukee.

Grace, she wants to be part of friends,

Groups, going out.

There's not as much of that in the middle of nowhere, colorado,

And so that is my biggest worry.

Actually, abs and I had some questions.

Grace: My sisters very much want to make sure

That I end up with the right person.

I just think he's a really nice guy.

Just a good, genuine person, and good spirit.

I could see you with him. I think my only worry, too, is different lifestyles.

Grace: Of course, I want myself to end up with brandon,

But I definitely have been homesick since I've been in colorado.

It would be a huge jump to go from living here with all my family members

To moving to colorado.

Ty: Melody and I, it's a great time, it's a good time.

I'm impressed by you.

...But seeing her with her family and living the city life,

I need to know how much of her really wants the farm life.

Whew! You get dizzy after that.

- So how did you like today? - I'm just sitting there thinking about

Almost busting my ass and at least I'm glad I didn't do that around your family.

( both laughing )

You actually did really, really good with my family.

- Did you like them? - They're great.

I just love the energy of your family, your town.

And then you come here and you do something like this,

And I can just see who you are, you know, your passion here.

And there's no way to do that unless you put your skates on.

How does it make you feel to leave this,

To be at the farm and to be there...

I guess it's one of those things,

Is really awesome, but if roles were reversed,

I might have a really hard time leaving my family

To go be somewhere totally different away from 'em.

I can see how close you are to your family and how much they love you.

It just hyped the pressure up for me that much more.

You like being close to the city.

At what point does that become possibly troublesome?

Yeah, you're kind of far away from things,

But the number one thing for me is finding my person,

And I do feel like I have significant feelings for you.

I do find myself missing you when we're not talking.

Obviously, sydney has so much energy.

Sydney believes relationships are important, but she really hasn't had any.

I really like nathan.

I think it's very important for nathan to meet my parents

Because their relationship really inspires me.

You were born and raised in florida?

- Yes, three sisters. - Allye: They're amazing.

They're so welcoming. Just very nice.

How has it been on the farm?

- We have a lot of fun. - We definitely have a ball.

One of the things allye told me is y'all have been together for 41 years, correct?

- Mm. - Mm-hmm.

Um, you know, what's the secret?

We were kind of high school sweethearts,

So I just think that you make that friendship first,

Then you get into the love in the long-term.

- Right. - Nathan definitely mentioned

He wanted to build a friendship first and then dig deeper.

It shouldn't just be all an attraction.

It should just be mentally, physically, everything.

It wasn't hard to become best friends with nathan.

- And why is that? - Nathan is very respectful.

So how do y'all feel about the process?

I guess my biggest thing is I just don't want to see allye hurt.

It's just, uh, I would hate for her to have a broken heart.

And I know somebody's gotta have a broken heart in this.

Jennifer: In new jersey, sydney's father

Has pulled mitchell aside to chat one-on-one.

Listen, sydney, she's the most important thing in my life. All my kids.

And nothing I wouldn't do for them,

And I expect everybody to treat them with the respect that I give them.

Sydney and I, we do a lot of things together.

We have got plans to go hunting next year.

Tennessee doesn't sound like a bad place, but in my experience,

It takes a long time to cultivate a relationship.

The risk has to be worth the reward.

Well, man to man, I respect your daughter whole-heartedly.

And she has been such a joy to get to know, and she's amazing.

And I sincerely do have such appreciation

Of having her around and a strong connection with her.

But to ease your heart a little bit,

You don't have to worry about getting a hotel or nothing like that.

Because I feel like that's where we would create a good bond,

'cause just as this family's important to y'all, same at my place.

Well, I feel like although we're a generation apart,

And sydney's impression of you I think is pretty spot-on.

She told me you were a fun guy, you were a good guy.

I was confident that I was either gonna like you in ten minutes

That would fit in with our family.

Listen, like I said, nothing I wouldn't do for them.

And I actually enjoyed interacting with him quite a bit.

Mitchell, he was fully attentive to sydney,

Which is really nice.

I could see a happily ever after,

That's a very important thing to me, my dad's approval.

About my family because I want him to choose me and him in the end.

How do you actually feel about that?

It's gonna be really hard. I don't aim to hurt anybody.

Allye's very important to me, and if I didn't see something,

Because that's a really big step.

I don't know if we could ever kind of get past that friendship.
