You know, it's been raining, but the farm work does not stop.

Nathan: The struggle through this journey is the girls feel

That I need to open up a little bit more,

And show the girls that I like 'em.

Taylor: I'm dating to marry, and eventually

I would like to find a husband,

And I'm hopeful that that could be nathan.

He's just really sweet and kind.

- ( honks ) - it is pouring right now.

But I want to see him flirting a little bit more

And kind of putting himself out there.

We got wet cow ( bleep ) on our face.

- ( yells ) - it's like in slow motion.

- Like... - Okay, it's on your face.

We're gonna try to push the cows back to where we came.

There's better grass over there,

And so they're gonna go up this hill,

So what I want you to do

Is basically we're just gonna pretty much chase them.

Let's go get them. They're already ready.

I'm from california, so I'm not used to everything being so wet.

The cow's just, like, splattering on us.

It's cow ( bleep ) freckles.

There is a part of me that is nervous to fully immerse into this type of lifestyle.

Stay beside him. I'm gonna turn him.

- Stay behind him and keep pushing him. - 'kay.

So I do wanna feel that there is a genuine interest

In getting to know me on a level deeper than just a friendship level.

Because the connection would have to be really, really strong for me

To want to 100% be here.

- ( honks ) - ( shouts )

- What? - Don't let them pass that gate.

Jennifer: After sending brooklyn home last night,

Brandon has gotten up early this morning

To keep on top of his farm's maintenance.

Brandon: Sending somebody home was hard,

But I really feel like the girls are gonna have a little more opportunity

For us to connect individually.

Everybody's trying to get my attention.

You know, so it's hard.

And then there's the strain of farming,

So I'm spread thin.

Joy: Are you missing home at all?

I miss my family. For the people, not the place.

How do you roll-- I don't even know how to do that.

Like around my arm? A little twist?

Finding love here would just mean the world to me.

I'm at that age that I think I'm ready to settle down.

I've never rolled a hose.

Brandon's just so different, but I feel like this is a way

To get to know someone authentically from a different walk of life

In a more quicker and intimate way.

His annual roping competition.

This is my-- I call this ferrell fall classic.

It's a backyard roping that I put together

That's kind of become a pretty big event that a lot of people enjoy.

Jennifer: Every year, people roll up to watch ty

And his fellow ropers battle it out.

And this year, our three other farmers

And their ladies are invited, too.

Ty's own ladies have been roped in to help with the preparations.

- I mean, if you need help, we're here. - Yeah.

Usually every year I have to get ready and prepare for myself,

And this year I've got four beautiful women

That are helping me do all the little things.

Now it puts a smile on my face.

- Okay, ready? - Throw it to me.

- ( grunting ) - aah!

- All right, one more. - I am very excited.

These are light. Usually they're heavier.

Megan: I love ropings and I think they're so much fun.

So it'll be nice to see him in his element.

This one?

Brooke: I'm really excited about the mixer this weekend,

Because it's actually here at ty's farm.

But the next one on one date will be megan or me,

'cause it's the only two that haven't had a one on one date yet.

So it's a kind of a competition.

You don't want rejection.

Jennifer: Ty's event is a chance for the farmers and the ladies

To work on their connection before the farmers pick their next solo date.

- This is the 14th year. - So much fun.

I mean, it's a big community event.

So I know tonight is gonna be a wonderful time,

'cause we're gonna have ourselves one heck of a hoedown.

But of course with all the fun that we're having tonight,

There are of course some big decisions to think about.

Because of course, farmers, at the end of the night

You'll be deciding who you're going to invite on the next solo date.

Melanie: I'm just kind of waiting for my chance

To have more alone time with mitchell,

'cause I want to see if that spark is still there.

I'm hopeful to get that one on one time with brandon

And kind of see where we stand with our relationship.

I hope that he follows his heart and makes the right decision 'cause it should be me.

Before the competition begins,

The farmers are catching up separately.

Just been hanging out, trying to make these decisions.

It's a lot harder than I thought.

Before we have our event,

Tell me, how are things going on the farm.

It's hard to tell where we stand,

Especially because the two of us are the only two

That haven't had a solo date yet.

So the spark that we had in the beginning,

You know, you don't know if that's still there

How's your farm doing, brandon?

There was one girl, grace, I took on my solo date last week.

She said her best time was the little sunset kiss in the pickup date.

- So that was good. - It was awesome.

It was really romantic and sweet.

- And they kissed. - No!

You been doing any kissing on any of your dates?

I just-- I-- one time first night.

- Yeah, not-- that was with melody. - Yeah?

What about you, mitchell?

I've only kissed sydney, but it was nice.

She's a special girl. Go ahead, nathan.

Yeah, you know, obviously, I hadn't, uh-- hadn't kissed anybody yet.

You know, I think there's a little pressure

Being the only guy that hasn't kissed anybody.

Kind of waiting for that right moment with the right person

To put myself out there.

Honestly, I'm kind of a slow mover,

Especially in front of the other girls.

That's tough for me though, honestly.

I don't want to be all over one

And the others are getting jealous.

I'm trying to keep the peace as of right now.

What is it that you're missing that you wish you had more of?

Just getting past the friendship zone

And seeing that romantic connection, and him putting that intentional effort

Into building a relationship and not a friendship.

I feel like he may need a little bit of encouragement.

Takes a little while to know these girls, too, you know?

I haven't taken annellyse or joy on a solo date yet.

There's nothing wrong with either of them.

Just it's hard to date them all at once to begin with.

We're just so different.

I can't get over how different we are.

I'm just this hot miami girl.

Because basically I just feel like that would be the determining factor

And then, reba and I, there's a lot of stuff going on.

You know, she was the first girl back on the farm,

And I think it stressed her out, made her a little nervous.

She felt a lot of pressure.

So, I don't know, I can't quite figure her out there.

How are you and brandon now?

Well, my head and my heart are in conflict.

I think he's here for the right reasons, absolutely,

But I don't know if brandon really wants like more of a mannequin wife.

I'm tough as nails. That's just the way it is. Take it or leave it.

I want a man who knows what he wants,

And I don't know if brandon is 100% sure.

I'm not totally convinced that I'm the woman for him

When he's into women that are nothing like me.

The first guy is gonna rope the head of the calf.

Then his partner wants to get both legs tied.

And when he pulls tight and he stretches, then the time stops.

- Devon james and ty ferrell. - Go, ty! Whoo!

All right, ty. What do we got?

- ( indistinct chatter ) - ( cheering )

If I ever moved onto your farm, would you let me have a pony?

- Do you think that's what you need? Pretty expensive. - Yeah.

I think it'd be, like, not a necessity,

But more like a little hobby for me.

I think it's a lot more work than you're thinking.

For his next solo date because I think we have a true connection,

And I think our relationship could grow.

And I think what they want the most of

Is more initiation by you.

Nathan: You know, for me, I was raised very traditional.

And so it's tough for me to open up

And put myself our there to, you know, all the girls.

I know everybody's being so respectful

And I know that they love that, but ladies love physical touch.

You know? And I think many of them want to invite that

In a way that feels obviously respectful,

But they feel good about that.

Ty: When it comes to the end of the night and selecting somebody for a solo date,

I'll just kind of let the night lead me

In the direction of who I pick.

You know with megan, she's always had the great energy.

She's easy to talk to.

We haven't had a lot of one on one time,

So I want to pull her aside and just kind of see where she's at.

- Just a little pop-up. - Oh, wow.

That is actually really cute.

- And a blanket. - I set all this up.

- Would you like the pillow side or this side? - Um, yeah.

I'll take the pillow side and the blanket honestly.

It's nice to sit down. You had me dancing out there.

I'm very comfortable in this element.

I'm a little on the quieter side.

- I don't know if you could tell. - Mm-hmm.

And I do have walls, so opening up about myself and my feelings,

- I'm more reserved. - Mm-hmm.

- And this is a very different experience. - Yeah.

- And it's more fast-paced... - Yeah.

...And it's nothing like I'm used to.

I'm curious though, you talk about having your walls.

Yeah, I've been hurt in the past.

And then my dad wasn't a part of my life at all.

I'm trying to work on it

Because to get to know someone, you have to open up.

And it's a scary thing for me.

You know, you say that you're closed off.

You really aren't. I don't feel that way.

Well, I'm glad you don't feel that.

You can't be closed off and have a smile and a personality like that.

- I feel like-- I don't know. - You might be way deep down,

And you might feel that you are,

But, you know, it's-- it is great.

But also it leads me into being able to dive deeper

And see what those walls are.

- I-- I barely know her. - They get along really well,

But if he talks to anyone else, she gets upset very fast.

I just came here for one specific reason,

But I don't think love is in the cards for me here.

I know that brandon and I,

Actually, we have great chemistry

And there could be a potential, but I don't know

If he is wanting a woman that challenges him.

I think for the grace of everybody involved,

It just makes more sense for me to go.

As we know in love, the road can be rocky

And it doesn't always lead where we hope it can go.

And sometimes we have to take our own road in that way,
