and file a report."

I get a call.

It was Chief Oran Neck.

and he says, "There's a problem.

The US Customs Chief
in charge of L.A. called me.

His nephew is missing."

"Mark Kilroy."

They said,
"They found a boy at a ranch."

We had no ME's back then,

so the funeral homes
took care of the autopsies.

I was good friends
with the owner of El Rosario.

He'd show me and say,
"Look, I'm doing an autopsy.

This is the trajectory of the bullet."

He'd show me things, so I went and said,

"They're bringing the body over.
Can you help?"

"Sure."

He gives me the gear,
the gloves, the whole thing.

So we both go in
and see the tag, "Mark Kilroy."

He said, "Let's move the body.
Get his feet, I'll get his hands."

So we pull him up to get him in

He had no spine.

With no spine,
