[Fated to Love You]

[Final Episode]

I really thought I was going to die in that moment.

Luckily, luckily!

There's a secret river passage that leads from the lake in the Marquis of Xuanping's Manor to outside the city.

So I floated down the river.

A blessing! I've struck it rich!

She's clearly from a wealthy family!

I'm rich!

You're awake.

Where am I?

This is Li Village.

Who am I?

Don't... don't you remember?

You're my granddaughter!

Granddaughter?

You all know what happened after that.

I only wanted to reject the marriage on that visit,

who knew that I'd almost end up as the murder victim of a adulterous couple?

The old widow almost sold me to the brothel as well.

There are too many dangers for single women in this world.

So full of difficulties and hardships.

It's all my fault that I didn't recognize Sister Jing Shu at that time.

Otherwise, you wouldn't have suffered so terribly.

It's fine.

These happenings are all part of my experiences.

Besides, only by experiencing something myself

I can understand the hardships of civilian women.

That's why we should try harder to understand them and protect them.

Grand Preceptor Meng and Zhang Yuan Qing are distant relatives and in-laws.

Even though it's inappropriate for them to meet in private,

they can easily find a believable excuse.

So why did they have to kill you to shut you up?

What did you see?

Now that you say this,

I think I really did see something.

I think I saw Grand Preceptor hand a ledger to Zhang Yuan Qing to keep.

And then they embraced each other.

Did you see where Zhang Yuan Qing put away that ledger?

It seems that she put it in a secret drawer underneath the altar.

Hiding the incriminating evidence in the Ancestral Hall and also having their secret affair in there,

these two really aren't afraid of Heaven's retribution.

I saw Zhang Yuan Qing put it in a secret drawer underneath the altar.

[Memorial Tablets]

[Ledger]

It's the ledger for the private mine.

Liu Jia can be saved.

Meng Hui is brazen.

He has actually sold the iron ore from the private mine to Northern Desert.

Such a traitor who is colluding with the enemy must be removed,

or there is no peace in our nation.

Your Majesty, Zhang Yuan Qing colluded with Grand Preceptor Meng and caused my father's death.

I have a blood feud against them.

Don't worry. I shall take their heads.

- Guards! - Present!

Immediately arrest Meng Hui to put him in jail.

Thoroughly investigate the private mine and the death of Marquis of Xuanping.

Yes!

You've accomplished a great merit this time. I will definitely reward you handsomely.

I don't want any rewards.

I only plead for Your Majesty to pardon General Liu and his family.

General Liu?

General Liu stationed at the border and frequently achieved military merits.

I indeed don't want to convict him.

That's fine. I will pardon the Liu family and release them right away.

Thank you, Your Majesty, for your grace.

But that evil child

should be executed according to the ancestral rules.

Your Majesty!

I've made my decision.

You mistakenly married the evil child back then because you were deceived.

I will bestow marriage again to let you marry the real Liu Jing Shu.

I shall not marry again.

Liu Jia is my only wife.

Who is this?

Are you still the Heir Xiao that I know?

Xiao Ren Yan, just by starving yourself for a few days,

will His Majesty really alter the ancestral rules?

If His Majesty won't free Jia'er,

I will starve here outside the hall until His Majesty changes his mind.

Fine. Let me ask you this.

If she is safe and sound, will you love her for the rest of your life?

I shall only marry her in this life.

I will safeguard her forever.

I have a solution.

What solution is it?

Come with me.

- What's the matter? - Help me up!

Oh, my Heir Xiao. Why are you so weak?

Shut up.

You can't even skip one meal but you laugh at me.

Open the door.

My Lord, she is a criminal.

Open your eyes wide. What is this?

An amnesty Gold Medal.

His Majesty appreciates General Liu's many years of meritorious service to the country.

He has ordered me to deliver the Amnesty Gold Medal

and relay his verbal edict

to release Liu Jia back to the frontier and redeem her guilty by achieving merits.

Aren't you opening the door yet?

Yes, yes.

- Leave. - Yes.

- You... - Don't delay. Hurry and go.

What's going on?

I'll explain it to you when I get back. Hurry and go.

What about you?

Do't worry, Boss. I have the Amnesty Gold Medal passed down in my family. I will be fine.

I'll deeply remember your kindness.

- Let's go. - Be careful.

Boss, you must be happy.

Xiao Ren Yan, if you dare to betray her,

I won't let you off even if I die.

It's time for the execution!

Father, Mother.

I'm coming to see you.

Execute!

Goodbye, world.

I am Liu Jia!

I'm the person you want!

Boss, run!

Why are you still dazed? Hurry and run away!

I am Liu Jia. Hurry to catch me!

Brazen traitor! Capture her!

Yes!

- Stop right there! - Chase her!

Hurry and chase!

Xiao Ren Yan?

Release him.

Release him!

Sister Jing Shu, are you also here to save me?

Why are you dazed? Hurry and run!

It's so good to be alive.

[Marquis of Xuanping's Manor]

That idiot Xiao Ren Yan

has become a fugitive by raiding the execution field to save Wei Hong He.

Now, this heir's seat

is definitely mine.

Congratulations, Husband, for fulfilling your wish.

Once you become the heir, I'll be the Heir's Consort.

Your Meng family has fallen.

You still want to be the Heir's Consort?

Husband, you are joking, aren't you?

An imperial decree arrives!

It's here. It's finally here.

By the mandate of Heaven, the Emperor hereby decrees.

Heir to Marquis of Xuanping, Xiao Ren Yan,

married an evil child as wife and blatantly raided the execution field.

His crime is inexcusable.

I hereby remove his position as Marquis' Heir.

The entire Marquis of Xuanping's Manor has committed sins

and will be demoted to be civilians.

As decreed.

Receive the decree, Second Young Master Xiao.

Wait!

His Majesty deposed Xiao Ren Yan.

Shouldn't he confer me as the heir?

Why is he demoting me as civilian?

Your mother colluded with Meng Chang Ming to murder Marquis of Xuanping, but you still want to be the heir?

Dream on!

This won't do. I want to go to the palace to plead to His Majesty myself.

You're such a joke.

Husband, are you all right?

Get out!

I am Marquis of Xuanping's heir!

The Marquis of Xuanping's Manor is mine now.

There's no more Marquis of Xuanping's Manor. How can you be any heir?

You are just a drunkard now.

Drunkard? Drunkard.

It's all your fault!

You are a disaster star that ruined me!

How dare you to hit me?

I wanted to hit you.

If your uncle didn't ruin my mother,

I would have become the heir already.

Your mother isn't anything good.

She is a slut who seduced my uncle!

How dare you criticize my mother!

I'll strangle you.

Help! He's killing me!

Save me! Save me!

Second Young Master Xiao.

Someone is looking for you.

Xiao Ming, you bastard!

You are inhuman!

Why did you bring me here?

Someone wants to see you.

What's this charcoal for? It gets smoke into my eyes.

Grand Master Meng?

You're here, Ming'er.

You've ruined me, yet you want to see me?

All hope is gone now.

I can only rely on you now.

What are you?

How dare you to rely on me?

I am your father!

You are your mother—

Shut up!

My mother is already dead.

Don't spew nonsense on anything that cannot be verified.

I've already been demoted to civilian.

You still want to harm me to die with you?

Why would I harm you?

I want you to prosper and have extreme wealth.

You can't even protect yourself.

What else can you do now?

Wait, just wait.

Ming'er.

I secretly operated the mine for many years.

All the iron ore has been sold to the Khan in Northern Desert to make weapons.

Did you actually collude with the enemy?

Since ancient times, the winner is king, the loser is bandit.

Ming'er, now that we have fallen to the bottom, why not risk it all?

I'm asking you, Ming'er.

Do you want to be a civilian

or rise above everyone else?

I'd rather die than be a civilian.

Wonderful.

Listen to me. Just listen.

Imperial Concubine Wu is about to give birth in the palace.

The young emperor will definitely leave the palace to pray for her blessings.

At that time, if you get the top warrior, Black Wolf, from Northern Desert,

we will definitely be able to turn things around.

Where exactly is that Black Wolf now?

I'll tell you.

Black Wolf... is your wife,

Meng Han Jiao.

That scumbag Xiao Ming!

A totally useless piece of mud!

Wife.

Are you still angry with me?

Wife.

Xiao Ming, don't touch me!

Just divorce me.

Wife, don't be like this.

I know I'm wrong. I shouldn't have hit you.

Wife, eat this.

We can turn things around.

In the future, not to mention the Marquis' Manor,

even the whole capital, the entire country, it will be at my disposal.

Eat it. Eat it!

Are you crazy?

Come here.

You don't want it when I give it nicely?

Eat it.

Eat!

Eat it!

Eat it! Eat!

Swallow it!

Swallow!

Meng...

No, my father really didn't lie to me.

Don't kill me.

Don't come this way.

I've been suffocating in the secret chamber that I could die.

Sister Jing Shu, won't you be discovered by coming out like this?

It's fine. This entire place belongs to Xiao Ren Yan.

It's Xiao Ren Yan's place. I see.

Oh, isn't this Young Master Wei?

So are you feeling bored today?

How about I get two young girls to sing a song to relieve your boredom?

I don't want to listen.

Or, find a young lady to have a drink with you?

I don't want to drink.

Go away! He is my man.

You say he is your man.

Any proof?

You come to a brothel with a woman.

Sister Jing Shu, that was my very first kiss.

It's fine. It's also my very first kiss.

But you should give the first kiss to someone you like.

The person I kissed is the one I like.

Do you... like me?

Why?

I used to be the young miss in the General's Manor and the top lady of the capital.

Everyone was fawning on me.

But ever since I fell into trouble, I had to cover my face with black gauze.

Without my identity, and without my pretty face,

you were the only person who was willing to help me.

That's why I like you.

And you? Do you like me?

Yes, I do.

- Really? - Yes...

I like your undaunted spirit when you fall into trouble.

I like your brave and unique style.

I like how you value human life more than stale etiquette.

I knew it. You are my soulmate.

Too bad that you've been bestowed marriage by His Majesty.

You are Heir Xiao's wife.

Who said that?

Come with me.

[Petition for Divorce]

Xiao Ren Yan, I'm divorcing you.

I can't ask for better.

I want to marry Wei Hong He.

Older Sister, this is difficult to achieve.

You and Xiao Ren Yan were bestowed marriage by His Majesty.

Even if you are divorced, will Prince Wei agree?

Sister Jia, Jing Shu and I don''t need to go through my family to marry.

Just like you and Xiao Ren Yan,

if we are truly in love, Heaven and Earth are our witnesses.

No one is here. Come on out.

The auspicious hour is coming up. Your older sister is still waiting for us to attend her ceremony.

Once Older Sister is married, we can go to the frontier and live a carefree life.

We won't need to hide around anymore.

It so happens that I want to experience the great desert

and the scenery of the sun setting in the Long River outside the Great Wall.

I can finally fulfill my wish now.

Let me tell you. The frontier doesn't just have beautiful scenery, there's also delicious food.

The sun is nice today.

- Yes. - It's hot.

What's the matter?

She carried an unusual scent on her body.

Northern Desert.

Black Wolf.

Black Wolf?

Black Wolf is the top warrior in Northern Desert.

He's been serving the Khan.

I've fought with him before.

He carries an unusual scent of the Northern Desert's Gu Venom.

Ledger? I really don't know where it is.

But I know the sect has an expert warrior inside the city. He is called Black Wolf.

Whenever this person appears,

his body carries an unusual scent.

But he has been serving the Khan.

Why would he suddenly come to the capital?

I don't know, either. I'll go take a look!

- You go to Young Master Wei. - Be careful!

Heaven and Earth are our matchmakers.

The sun and moon are our witnesses.

I, Liu Jing Shu, will marry Wei Hong He today.

Even when the sea dries and the rock rots, our love shall never change.

Heir Wei, Miss Liu.

Why have you just arrived? Where's my boss?

We ran into Black Wolf on the way over here.

Liu Jia is tailing him.

Black Wolf? You aren't mistaken?

Who is Black Wolf?

Black Wolf is the top warrior from Northern Desert. He only serves the Khan.

For him to come to the capital, his intentions can't be good.

Heir Wei, do you know about His Majesty's whereabouts in recent days?

Oh no! My younger brother told me a while go.

Imperial Concubine Wu is about to give birth.

His Majesty prepares to leave on the 15th for Daxiangguo Temple to pray for blessings.

Is Black Wolf coming to attack His Majesty?

Imperial Concubine Wu is about to give birth.

How would Black Wolf know about it?

I'm afraid someone has ill intentions.

Today is the 15th, the day His Majesty leaves the palace to pray for blessings.

Husband, I'm weak in martial arts.

It's urgent that you and Heir Xiao go to aid His Majesty first.

I know the only road that leads to Daxiangguo Temple.

Come with me.

Husband.

Come back safe and sound.

Don't worry.

Your Majesty, you've only brought these few people along to go out.

I am really concerned about your safety.

It's fine. No one knows about this trip.

A big fanfare actually attracts notice.

Why did the carriage stop?

Your Majesty, be careful!

Continuing on the previous chapter of the story,

the Liu sisters went through many sufferings and sacrifices

to finally preserve the hard-won peace

and a comfortable life for the people of Yanli Nation.

They don't need to hide their identity as twins anymore.

But rather, they can openly pursue their own lives.

But Black Wolf, meaning, Meng Han Jiao,

moved by the Liu family and Heir Xiao,

has come to realize the truth and will also work hard toward the same objective

to make amends for previous mistakes and be a good person.

- Good! - Excellent story!

I sent a decree to pursue you.

You actually disregarded the grudge and came to rescue me.

I feel really ashamed.

Your Majesty is too serious.

It's our duty to safeguard Your Majesty.

Your Majesty, please allow me to kneel to you.

I have a wish to plead for Your Majesty's approval.

You've contributed in my rescue. What is your wish? Just say it.

I and Liu family's Liu Jing Shu are truly in love.

Liu Jing Shu and Heir Xiao have divorced amicably.

I'd like to ask Your Majesty to grant our wish.

I grant it.

Thank you, Your Majesty!

Your Majesty, Her Highness the Imperial Concubine has given birth.

Has she given birth? Boy or girl?

- It's a princess... - A princess?

Two princesses.

Two princesses...

Twins...

Imperial Concubine has given birth to twins.

What do I do?

Your Majesty, today is actually our wedding day.

If my young sister didn't discover Black Wolf quickly,

we couldn't have been able to rescue Your Majesty in time.

May I ask Your Majesty,

must twins really be separated into an official child and an evil child?

Your Majesty, a sage doesn't imitate the past nor stick to the status quo.

It's because Emperor Taizu almost got killed by his twin younger brother

that he set up this rule.

Your Majesty, it's time to change.

In the past, I only knew to adhere to the ancestral rules.

Now that I'm suffering the same pain,

I finally understand the cruelty of this law.

I will announce to the nation.

From now on, twins won't be considered unlucky.

All the evil children hidden in the country are granted amnesty.

Thank you, Your Majesty, for your benevolence.

Meng Hui operated a private mine and harmed the loyal and the kind.

He disobeyed and offended His Majesty, and he betrayed the country by colluding with the enemy.

His crimes are inexcusable. He is to be executed immediately!

A hundred years of cultivation result in friendship.

A thousand years of cultivation result in marriage.

I am fated to be with you. We must have known each other in a prior lifetime.

I don't care whose daughter you are or whose sister you are.

In my heart, I only care that you are Liu Jia,

and my wife.

What's the matter? You're getting silly.

My wife is a great beauty.

No wonder you are the top lady in the capital.

So glib.

This isn't our first wedding night.

Who said so?

Tonight, I'm going to give you an incomparable wedding night.

Wait.

- Wait for what? - We haven't drunk the nuptial wine.

This time, the wine that I poured,

you can feel safe to drink it.

- Wait. - What else is there to wait for?

Each minute is precious on a wedding night!

I think you are right.

We should have an incomparable wedding night.

Everyone in the capital says,

Liu Jing Shu is a brainless beauty who is naive, willful, and doesn't know the world.

But, as I see it, Madam looks like a smart beauty

with a thousand faces and excels in culture and martial arts.

They say the Marquis of Xuanping's heir is a drunken fool.

All he knows is drinking and whoring every day.

As I see it, with a lot hidden in your heart, you are quite the duplicity.

You're more like a jade-faced fox.

You pretended to be Jing Shu and cheated him today.

What if on the wedding day Jing Shu still doesn't appear?

How will you take care of it?

I'll marry instead of Older Sister.

Liu Jing Shu!

Older Sister, I've fallen in love for Xiao Ren Yan.

This man that you don't want, can I have him?

This is an iron-clad law in our Yanli Nation.

The twins are unlucky.

The first born is the official child and can live.

The second born is an evil child and must be killed.

Wow, it's so pretty!

Madam?

Stop.

If I am not the Liu Jing Shu in your mind,

will you still grow old with me?

What are you doing?

No matter how pretty she is,

can she be as pretty as the top lady of the capital?

You are so glib!

The evil child must be executed according to ancestral rules.

I will bestow marriage to you again so that you can marry the real Liu Jing Shu.

I will come back to save you.

My wife can only be Liu Jia.

Your Majesty, it's time to change.

You and I will grow old together.
