- [Woman Voiceover] Reality is only a game.

Until your worst fantasies and nightmares come true,

when the world is against you

for what you know is reasonable,

they don't believe in you.

This makes you blue.

They think you're insane,

so all your facts you attempt to contain.

But then the truth comes out,

literally, then towards you.

The world has no doubts.

You have your defence, bullets and fire.

The civilians are left with the pain and death,

but their revival approaches.

However, they're not underground with the roaches,

they're amongst the living.

We must attempt to stay alive.

We must kill the dead that have managed to revive.

out here and you guys are hiding in a car?

Come with me, come on.

Watch your step, come on.

Come on.

Let's go.

So I have to ask, what happened back there?

- It all started that morning

when I was getting ready for work as a nurse.

Denise was sitting down having breakfast

and James was making a cup of coffee

and getting ready to go sit on the couch.

Next thing I know, I hear this noise.

I come running in, and this man had just

broken in through our front window.

This man looked like he had some type of disease.

Nothing I've ever seen before,

not even at the hospital.

Next thing I know, this man's rolling around

on the floor with my husband.

I blink and this man just bit my husband.

So I panic, I went into the kitchen,

grabbed a rolling pin off the counter

and just knocked this man right on the head.

But by then it was too late.

This man had already bitten my husband.

Denise was freaking out so I grabbed her,

took her upstairs to her room,

laid her down and calmed her down as best as I could.

Once I got her calmed down, I went

back downstairs and helped James

take this man's body, somebody's body,

and put it on the side of the house.

I finally get James up into our bed,

lay him down, and tend to his wound on his arm

as best as I could.

- Jessica?

Hey, I'm so sorry.

Why don't we go in here where

it's a little more comfortable?

Go ahead.

- It was just a few short minutes,

but it felt like an eternity before he passed.

I got up off the bed.

Next thing I know, he's twitching.

I'm thinking, great he's alive.

I turn and I look and James is not my James.

He looked like he was started to get

that disease that that man had.

So I panicked, chucked him in a closet,

and barricaded it with a dresser.

Then I grabbed Denise, grabbed a bag,

we got out of there.

Once outside, I look around and I see

more of these people.

Get into the van, lock all the doors.

Stupid me, a couple of minutes later

realises I had dropped the keys outside the van.

We were stuck there for two days.

- You were there for two days?

- Yeah.

He's still here, you know.

He's still in the closet.

- I promise I'm gonna do everything within my ability

to protect you and Denise.

(air whooshes)

How long have you been shooting a crossbow?

- Oh not too long, believe it or not.

I actually took it up pretty quick.

- Oh yeah?

- Yeah.

- Hey Denise, what do you think?

It's a good shot.

- These things they play a little bit,

but you know, comes in handy.

- Wow, two for two.

Not bad.

Three for three?

- Why not?

- Think you can do it?

- Let's see.
