(Flourished Peony)

(Episode 25)

I've been busy at the shop recently so I'm exhausted.

I didn't prepare supper.

Please forgive me, Lord Jiang.

How do you know it's me and not Zhu Fu?

Zhu Fu doesn't have a scent as luxurious as yours.

You had no time to prepare supper because you were busy, huh?

But you have time to make contact with people from the black market.

You're getting bolder and bolder, aren't you?

Lord Jiang, you said you treated me as a good friend

when we left the military camp.

Since that's the case, you should cut to the chase.

I know that you've been wanting to avenge your mother

and Yu Lu ever since you arrived in Chang'an.

You've been looking for a chance to punish Liu Shen.

However, you're going up against nobles and officials as a merchant.

It's just like holding a candle against the wind.

If Liu Shen finds out that you've been investigating him,

not even I can find you if he abducts you in secret

and throws you into the Wei River.

How did you know?

Chuan Yu saw the person you hired

tailing Liu Shen when he was at the black market.

Indeed. I do wish to expose Liu Shen

for my mother's and Yu Lu's sake.

But it's more than that.

The Liu family can resort to harming the people in order to gain benefits.

Although commoners like us don't have any power,

we can't just allow people to do whatever they like to us.

You may still give it a shot if you and the commoners join hands.

But you're alone.

It's not that I'm persuading you to pull back for safety's sake.

I just hope that you can know your limits before proceeding.

Lord Jiang, I understand your intention.

I understand your concern as well.

Don't worry.

I'll act cautiously.

I'll only strike when everything is in place.

All granaries in the West Market are in cahoots with Liu Shen.

They mixed old grains, which were supposed to be discarded, into new ones.

A Grand Treasurer can never achieve that by himself.

Behind Liu Shen lies a tangled web of connections.

If one of the rotten pillars falls,

all those above and below him will fall as well.

What you were facing

was never just a single corrupt official.

Were you investigating the millet case as well?

I suppose Liu Shen isn't the only person you wish to topple.

I assume you wish to deal a huge blow to the mastermind behind him.

If the case is as dangerous as you had described,

all the more I can't just stand idly by.

Since both of us want the crooks to be brought to justice,

why don't we join hands?

You may be a florist, but you're pretty full of yourself.

How can you intervene with court affairs?

Naturally, I can't do anything about court affairs.

However, when it comes to punishing Liu Shen,

we need to strike from both directions

in order to assure our victory.

So, in this vast and majestic Tang Dynasty,

Lord Jiang, which do you think is higher in number? Commoners or officials?

Naturally, it's your time to shine when it's related to court affairs.

But when it comes to the people,

even a commoner like me is vital.

With me around,

you'll have a higher chance of obtaining victory.

Are you trying to say

that the grievances of the people is a sharper blade than most

and that it cannot be suppressed by just a few important officials?

Since they like abusing their power so much,

they shouldn't blame us for staging an act

in order to topple them.

Lord Ren.

Is it nice?

It is.

Lord Jiang, I had no idea that Ms. He was working for you.

That's why I believed in the rumors and gave her a harsh punishment.

Lord Jiang, please forgive me.

One who does not know is not guilty.

Lord Ren, you don't need to worry.

I wouldn't have invited you here if I did hold it against you.

Lord Jiang, you're so magnanimous.

I'm truly ashamed of myself.

Moonlight Beauty is a rare sight to behold indeed.

Lord Jiang, thank you for your grace.

I'm truly lucky to be able to witness such a spectacular sight.

Let me offer you a toast.

The rarest thing about it is that it only blooms at night.

And, it only blooms for a brief moment.

It's not fun if I enjoy the view alone,

you know?

I shall excuse myself for a second.

Everyone, please don't hold yourself back.

Please enjoy yourselves.

Although the millet used in the porridge was moldy,

isn't this too quick of a reaction?

Their bodies had become delicate due to all the pampering.

Their digestion system cannot withstand this.

Lord Ren, how are you doing?

I've set up this banquet to enjoy the blooming of Moonlight Beauty.

And now, I've missed out on it.

Bring the cooks here.

You must find out what the issue is!

Yes, My Lord.

My Lord, we've verified the cause.

Moldy grains were mixed into the millet porridge we had tonight.

That's why everyone was sick.

I'm afraid there's more to it than meets the eye.

Could it be that someone is trying to poison me?

Talk.

Who instructed you to do so?

I...

My mother was sick.

That's why I committed this blunder.

To save money, I didn't purchase the grains from the Northern Marketplace.

I purchased millet from the West Market instead!

I had no idea that the millet they sold there would be defective!

My Lord, please spare me on account of my filial piety!

No matter if it's someone trying to poison me

or the fault of the granaries at the West Market,

Magistrate Ren, please investigate the case thoroughly.

Please give me and our colleagues

an account.

You have to investigate the case!

Yes, My Lord.

- Give me a massage. - Okay.

Give me a massage.

Everyone, take a look at these grains!

The granaries sold inferior goods as if they were of good quality.

They actually sold moldy millet!

Everyone, look at my face.

I was disfigured

all because I tried using the fragrant powder made from this millet!

As the owner of Blooming Abode,

I have to prevent everyone from being affected by this fragrant powder

even if I have to lose everything and have my reputation shattered!

- That's right! - Precisely!

Everyone, please don't worry.

I've already issued a recall for the defective products.

However, the true culprit is still at large!

I have to expose this dirty merchant in front of you all!

I bought my grains from this granary.

I saw black spots on the grains when I was cooking.

I thought I could wash them off.

Could those be moldy grains?

Precisely.

Moldy grains are tiny.

You won't be able to tell them apart unless you take a close look.

That's why all of you were deceived.

Moldy grains will damage our health if we consume them.

That's right.

As recorded in the medical manuals,

the stomach is the foundation of our internal organs.

There won't be any noticeable effects if we consume them for a few days.

However, if we consume them for a long time,

I'm afraid it'll ruin our health!

It'll spell trouble for us!

No wonder I've been having stomachaches lately.

So, they were the culprits, huh?

These darned dirty merchants!

Let's head inside and demand an account from them!

Don't!

Everyone, please don't do this!

Please calm down.

We're mere commoners.

If we start a dispute,

they'll have the goods on us instead.

Since the granary owner has committed a crime,

the local authorities should arrest him.

We just need to report this to the local authorities.

I'm sure the Jingzhao Fu will give us an account.

But if we don't demand a refund from him,

if we have to wait any longer, my condition will worsen.

- That's right. - She's right.

Although Blooming Abode was scammed as well,

I feel guilty for selling such defective products.

Therefore, I've hired a physician to give out diagnoses.

Those who had bought fragrant powder from our shop before

will receive free stomach remedy from our shop.

What about those who hadn't bought anything from your shop?

Yeah. What about us?

Even so, you guys may come for a free diagnosis.

If you have stomach discomfort,

Blooming Abode is willing to do a kind deed

by selling the remedy at a cost price.

What a kind soul.

Thank you.

Everyone, don't mention it.

This is my duty.

Please collect your medicine there.

Next.

Do you have stomach discomfort?

- Here's your medicine. - Thank you.

I'm sure it's because of the moldy grains.

Everyone reported the case to the authorities as per your advice.

But the Jingzhao Fu ignored all of them.

Now, everyone is blocked outside of the building.

Everything is proceeding as planned.

What do you mean?

I knew that the officials would cover up for each other.

What I want

is the anger in the people's hearts.

We shall wait for the breeze to come before igniting the flame.

This time, I'll make sure all of the sinners are scorched.

They shall be punished at all costs.

Excellent!

Again.

Dear folks,

ladies, and gentlemen,

I'm He Wei Fang, the owner of Blooming Abode.

This is a huge deal concerning everyone's health.

Please hear me out.

I'm sure all of you have heard

that a granary from the West Market was selling moldy grains.

Initially, I thought it was merely one granary that did so.

To proceed with my business,

I made the purchase from other granaries.

However, after I visited all of the granaries at the West Market,

I found out that all of them had mixed moldy grains into their products!

Everyone, take a look!

All of these are mixed with moldy grains!

This is a huge matter.

However, the Jingzhao Fu isn't willing to deal with this matter!

The officials consume expensive grains bought from the East Market!

They don't care about the commoners at all!

Everyone, although we're insignificant when we're separated,

if we gather, we can form a huge force.

As long as we gather all the moldy grains we have

and report it to the local authorities,

we can definitely make them investigate the case!

The West Market will be safe again!

If you guys don't wish to have your health ruined,

you guys have to fight for it!

Today, we might be having moldy grains!

But who knows what other inferior food will we have in the future?

It's not that simple!

I'm just worried that we might lose our lives

before justice is upheld!

Dear, how could you be this timid?

Even the female shopkeeper is more courageous than you.

This is a huge matter that concerns our health.

If everyone acts like you and waits for other people to act first,

we'll be done for when they drop the matter.

Head back and bring our grains here.

We have to stay united. Everyone should report this to the authorities.

Ms. He, I'll join you.

We need to make sure the local authorities give us an account!

Please make way.

Thank you, miss.

Ms. He!

Come.

As a fellow florist, we'll join you too!

Thank you, Shopkeeper Lv!

Everyone, if you guys wish to live without fear,

let's head to the government office together and demand justice!

Justice for the people!

Justice for the people!

Justice for the people!

Justice for the people!

Justice for the people!

Justice for the people!

Justice for the people!

The moldy grains sold by the West Market are on the carts!

We shall report this to the government office!

Justice for the people!

Justice for the people!

Everyone, let's be united!

Gather all of the moldy grains you have!

We shall report this to the government office!

Justice for the people!

Gather all of your moldy grains!

Who else has moldy grains in the house?

Justice for the people!

What are you guys doing

instead of operating your businesses?

Who's leading the commotion?

I was the one who gathered everyone here.

However, we aren't causing a commotion.

If we don't do so, the government office will ignore our request.

Those who reported the case to the local authorities

were all rejected by the Jingzhao Fu.

Is that so?

You guys are getting increasingly lazy, huh?

This concerns the lives of the people.

How dare you guys not report this to me?

I thought it was a minor matter.

Magistrate Ren, please pardon me.

I'll deal with you when we get back!

Ms. He.

You and I are considered old acquaintances.

I didn't know you were a part of the Jiang Residence before this.

Sorry for the offense.

Today's incident is just a misunderstanding.

Since you wish to report the case,

you should follow me to the government office.

This has nothing to do with Lord Jiang.

There's no need to bring him up.

All granaries in the West Market are selling moldy grains.

Countless people have fallen sick because of that.

Like everyone else, I wish to report this case to the local authorities.

This is no longer a minor issue.

The Three Departments should preside over this case.

The Jingzhao Fu should stay out of this.

How dare you?

It's just a case of moldy grains. Why are you being so calculative?

The imperial court has plenty of important affairs to deal with every day.

Order will be disrupted and the state will be plunged into chaos

if we report every minor issue to the Three Departments!

All of you better go back!

If you guys keep this up, I'll arrest you all

and have you guys flogged!

- This is unfair. - How dare he threaten the people?

- Yeah. - This isn't our fault either.

Confiscate the grains.

- Confiscate them! - Yes, sir!

Don't do it!

These grains are our evidence.

If you guys confiscate them without a valid reason,

I'm afraid you guys will call off the investigation as well.

You're a mere commoner. You don't know what's good for you.

How dare you obstruct us from executing our duties?

Hurry! Confiscate the grains!

Go!

Don't take them!

- Don't take them! - Nobody moves!

Don't take them!

Return them to us!

- Don't touch them! - Don't hurt them!

Let go!

Put them down!

- Don't take them! - Don't take them!

- Don't touch them! - Go away!

Everyone!

Everyone! Please hear me out!

Why do we work hard every day?

We do it so that our family can lead a better life!

- That's right! - Yeah!

The taxes we pay to the imperial court

only increase as time goes by!

But what do we get in return?

We get moldy grains

and a weak body in return!

That's right!

We're gathering the grains we bought with our own money!

We're walking through the marketplace that the commoners can access!

We didn't smash the granaries that sold these grains to us!

We didn't beat up the merchants who sold them to us either!

We didn't break any of the law!

We're doing this in order to uphold justice for ourselves!

What gives you guys the right to arrest us?

What gives you guys the right to destroy our evidence?

Ms. He is right!

Even if you're an official, you can't arrest us without reason!

- Yeah! - You have no right to do so!

You can't arrest us without a valid reason!

Stop shouting! Quiet!

For the people, food is our priority.

For the ruler, the people are his priorities.

Although these grains are small, they're related to a major case.

His Majesty should preside over this case!

Please request His Majesty to preside over this case!

His Majesty should preside over this case!

His Majesty should preside over this case!

His Majesty should preside over this case!

Please request His Majesty to preside over this case!

His Majesty should preside over this case!

Sui Zhi, the summer flowers in your residence are extraordinary.

They're just as beautiful as the flowers in the palace.

Your Majesty, the flowers bloom for your sake.

It's the flowers' fortune and my fortune

to be able to make you smile, Your Majesty.

As I left the palace, I heard the people discussing something.

They said

the granaries at the West Market were selling moldy grains,

causing the people to be enraged.

What exactly is going on?

Your Majesty, such public rage is merely a rumor.

We've never heard of such an incident.

Seems like it's a case of misinformation, huh?

If so, Grand Treasurer, have you never heard of

the food poisoning incident that occurred at the Jiang Residence?

Food poisoning incident?

What happened?

Your Majesty, my subordinates attended the banquet at Jiang Residence.

They had food poisoning upon consuming the millet porridge.

They applied for leave on the very next day.

I heard that the servants bought millet from the West Market.

That's why the health of the officials was jeopardized.

The Jingzhao Fu had confirmed the cause on the next day.

One of the granaries merely sold stale grains by accident.

They recalled them immediately upon realizing it.

The merchant who committed the blunder has been punished as well.

Indeed. The local authorities have received my instructions.

They are to investigate the case immediately

and prevent the same mistake from happening.

Your Majesty, you know this too.

I often visit the West Market to admire the Huxuan dance there.

The shops there are well-organized and orderly.

They also sell countless rare items from foreign lands.

The people are captivated by its brilliance.

Why would they cause a commotion?

Your Majesty!

Your Majesty, you should not listen to such one-sided statements

and pass it off as a minor incident.

The people at the West Market were enraged by the moldy grains.

They raised their arms and voices without fearing the local authorities!

Your Majesty, that's how you're able to hear about the commotion.

If we don't investigate the case,

the rage of the people

will flood the city one day!

Your Majesty, not only did the moldy grains harm the people's health,

but they've also harmed the health of our fellow officials.

Your Majesty, please investigate the case.

The water that bears the boat is the same that swallows it up.

I can't afford to lose the people's trust.

Moreover, how can my loyal subjects serve me well

if their determination is lost?

This is a huge case. The Three Departments shall preside over it.

The Censor-in-Chief shall be the main official-in-charge.

You must get to the bottom of it

for my sake, for the people's sake,

and for your fellow officials' sake.

Your Majesty is wise!

Yes, Your Majesty!

Your Majesty,

the Censorate isn't familiar with the marketplaces.

Since taking office, the Grand Treasurer had worked tirelessly.

The officials in charge of the marketplaces are his subordinates too.

I think Lord Liu should be the main official-in-charge.

The Censor-in-Chief should be his assistant.

This way, Your Majesty, you can have peace of mind.

All right.

Sui Zhi, I shall accept your suggestion.

Make sure to investigate the case

to calm the hearts of the people.

Yes, Your Majesty.

Lord Liu.

This is an important case.

Please join me for the inspection at the West Market.

Lord Liu has important affairs to attend to today.

Censor-in-Chief, you can head to the West Market tomorrow morning.

Lord Jiang, this is an urgent case.

You should put your affairs aside for now.

What if it's related to His Majesty?

His Majesty had enough of the blooming flowers.

He heard about the hustle and bustle of the West Market.

He ordered me to hire several dancers to perform in the palace.

He also instructed me to look for rare foreign trinkets.

Lord Liu has to come with me.

If His Majesty is upset by the fact

that he didn't get to enjoy the Huxuan dance,

both you and I won't be able to bear the consequences.

Lord Liu, let's go.

I heard that He Wei Fang was the one who caused the commotion.

She caused the Liu family to lose our reputation.

Lord Jiang, you took her in as your servant after she faked her death.

It's obvious that she's cunning and devious.

Lord Jiang, you mustn't let her use you again.

To me, she's just a tool.

She's just a lowly merchant.

However, she caused such a huge commotion.

And, news of it even managed to reach His Majesty.

Lord Jiang, you mustn't be careless.

To her, money is everything.

She'll definitely risk her life if someone stops her from earning money.

Moreover, she's a girl.

She was disfigured because of the moldy grains. Of course she's enraged.

I can forgive her for the commotion.

As long as she keeps generating money for me,

I can forgive her for what she did.

Lord Jiang, I know you're magnanimous.

But after this commotion,

I'm afraid I might lose my position as the Grand Treasurer.

Couldn't you tell that I was putting in good words for you just now?

I've made it so that you're the main official-in-charge now.

Lord Jiang, of course I'm grateful to you for that.

But Lord Jiang, I hope you can keep He Wei Fang in check

and tell her to mind her own business.

I only helped you on account of His Lordship.

Lord Liu, are you telling me what to do now?

Did you think anyone would find out about the moldy grains

had you been competent enough to keep your dirty deeds hidden?

Even I was implicated.

I had diarrhea seven times in one night because of the moldy grains.

Now, I'm weak and dehydrated. How will you compensate me for that?

I've overstepped my boundaries.

Lord Jiang, please be appeased.

Once everything settles down,

I'll definitely make an official apology with a precious gift in hand.

I shall swallow these grievances on account of His Lordship for now.

Lord Liu, I hope you can handle everything as soon as possible.

Do not disappoint His Lordship due to your complacency again.

Yes, My Lord.

Hurry up!

Master, the local officials have dealt with the granaries.

They'll transport top-quality grains to us later.

All right. Do it as soon as possible.

Okay!

There's one more cart left!

Hurry!

Even if His Majesty demands an investigation

upon hearing about the public unrest,

Liu Shen only needs to swap out the moldy grains for top-quality grains.

This way, he can escape unscathed.

That's precisely what we want.

The public unrest at the West Market is just a bait.

Our true goal is to make Liu Shen panic and transport the evidence away

before the superiors conduct an investigation.

Indeed.

Lord Jiang, it all falls on you whether or not you wish to assist him

for him to get the opportunity.

I can do my part in the imperial court.

By then, Chuan Yu will join you.

He shall ensure your safety while you two capture our prey.

Get out of the way!

Get out of the way!

Get out of the way! Don't block us!

- Should we act? - Get out of the way!

- Get out of the way. - Let's wait.

Wait for the woman and her daughter to leave.

We don't want innocent people to get hurt.

Hurry!

Those at the front, get out of the way!

Get out of the way!

Master!

Master, are you okay?

- Master! - The grains!

These are moldy grains!

These are actually moldy grains!

They're moldy indeed!

Hurry!

Hurry!

Who said they were moldy?

Stop it!

- Master! - Stop it!

Stop it!

Hurry and escort Master out of here!

Escort Master out of here!

Stop it!

Hurry and escort Master out of here!

Stop it!

Stop it!

Stop it!

Help!

Help!

Do not think of stealing the tribute medicine again.

We mustn't let He Wei Fang find out that we gave her a counterfeit!

Help!

- Master! - Master!

- Move out of the way! - Hurry!

Master, give me your hand!

Master, give me your hand!

Master, are you okay?

Get out of the way!

Get out of the way!

Get out of the way!

Liu Shen!

Do you confess?

- Take him away! - Yes, sir!

(Mother,)

(Yu Lu,)

(are you guys seeing this?)

And these two as well. Take them away.

Yes, sir!

A coward like Liu Shen confessed everything upon entering prison.

The Chen family bore the brunt of it.

They saw that King Ning was observing the matter without getting involved.

To survive, they have no choice but to rat other people out.

The officials of Luoyang, in collusion with the vice ministers

of the Ministry of Personnel and the Ministry of Revenue

had their crimes of embezzlement, bribery, land occupation,

and position-buying exposed to the public.

King Ning remained untouched.

The noble families close to him took note of it.

There will surely be murmurs of dissent.

Many positions are vacant now that the case is solved.

I'm sure King Ning can't stand the temptation of appointing his own men.

Many of the people involved in the case were close to King Ning.

He merely mentioned the names of a few,

and he was refuted by the senior ministers and the censors.

To avoid getting into more trouble, he has no choice but to give up.

We've already assigned important positions to our men.

Even if King Ning wishes to plant his men

after everything has settled down,

everything will be under our control.

The tiny millet might be small,

but it's related to the lives of the people.

This will cut off King Ning's source of income.

It has also cleansed the sins of Luoyang's officialdom.

The governors are cunning old foxes. They see the wind and set the helm.

It's literally impossible for King Ning

to win them to his side without enough money.

I wonder who will be the governor of the Eastern Capital?

Naturally, it'll be Cheng Lang, your favorite student.

With him in charge of Luoyang, the people will regain control of the land.

Please don't worry about it.

It's been many years since I saw him after we parted ways in Chang'an.

I wonder when we'll have the time to enjoy tea again.

Even if King Ning's forces are deeply rooted,

they'll be uprooted one day.

Master, there's no need to be disheartened.

I just feel sorry for Cheng Lang.

Master, you feel sorry for Cheng Lang.

Cheng Lang feels sorry for His Majesty.

No one feels sorry for me.

You have San Lang.

And Mu Dan.

Although she's just a florist,

she aided you in accomplishing such a risky task.

He Wei Fang didn't do it for my sake.

She did it for herself

and for the merchants and the people of the city.

Mu Dan understood that a rotten building isn't formed by a piece of wood.

What a shame.

If only she were a man.

If so, I'm sure she would achieve something remarkable.

So what if she's a woman?

She hasn't missed a single thing she wanted to do.

The Grand Treasurer is in huge trouble this time.

Indeed.

My Lord, Her Highness is infatuated with you.

As long you're willing to mend the broken ties and renew the engagement,

Her Highness promises that she'll definitely rescue Lord Liu.

My son,

stop hesitating.

No one knows how your father is doing in prison right now!

You went out there and pleaded for help. But did anyone help you out?

Right now, Her Highness is the only person who can save us.

Can you bear to see your father die in another state after being banished?

Zi Shu!

I'm begging you!

Can you please save your father?

Zi Shu!

Zi Shu!

You Zhen, let's get married.

Okay.

Does he think

he can marry my daughter whenever he likes?

My reputation has already been ruined.

I cannot get married to aristocrats.

Father, please grant me my wish.

Who dares to criticize my daughter?

As long as you're willing, I'll...

If I can't get married to Liu Chang, I would rather die!

Don't come near me!

The Chen family has already lost their influence.

Father, I'm sure they'll feel disheartened

upon knowing that you're not stepping in to save them.

They've committed countless crimes.

If I do step in, not only will I not be able to save them,

but I'll also be implicated instead.

You should stay out of this.

As for the aristocrats, I'll deal with them in my own way.

Actions are always more convincing than words.

Liu Shen is only guilty of embezzlement. It's not difficult to save him.

If the other families know that you're saving Liu Shen,

they'll know that you have their backs as long as they're loyal enough.

This way, you can both pacify the aristocrats

and win the people's favor.

I'm sure Liu Chang

instructed you to say that, right?

That's right.

Seems like he isn't as useless as I thought.

Forget it.

Put down the knife.

Put down the knife!

You have my permission to marry him.

Thank you, Father!

Get up.

You Zhen.

Remember this.

Everyone can become your pawn,

even if they aren't loyal to you.

It's just like the head of the Chen family.

He's too greedy.

He was even daring enough to hide things from me.

But to me, he was still useful.

That's why I didn't deal with him until now.

So, Father, you wanted to cast him away long ago?

Tolerating one's demeanor and using them as your pawns

are both arts that need to be perfected.

As long as the benefits are great enough,

there will always be people willing to be used by you.

Head back and relay my message to Liu Zi Shu.

Loyalty is the most important aspect if he wants to be my son-in-law.

I may be able to tolerate him

for canceling the marriage once,

but he better not do it again!

Excellent!

Excellent!

He deserves it!

Look at him!

Look at him!

Great job!

Flog him harder!

Now, the West Market is in order, and the prices are just right.

You've also gotten your revenge.

Mu Dan, aren't you supposed to be happy?

The people pay the taxes as per the law.

Aren't the local authorities supposed to provide us

with a fair marketplace?

We would've been satisfied with

the corrupt official's punishment like the others

had Jiang Chang Yang not told us the truth.

The people had no idea that the Liu family

is establishing a marriage alliance with King Ning again.

Liu Shen wouldn't need to be banished

as long as King Ning gives the command.

He's only flogged in public

to stop the people from discussing the case any further.

As long as Liu Chang is King Ning's son-in-law,

his father will be spared from the harshest punishment

no matter what heinous crimes he had committed.

The only ones suppressed

by the law and the local authorities

Now, he can never be an official again.

The mental pain he faces is much more than the physical pain he received.

Mrs. He and Yu Lu will be appeased upon witnessing his punishment.

And that Liu Chang, he canceled the marriage before this.

Now, to save his family, he has no choice but to marry the princess.

The princess has a terrible temper.

If she marries into his family, I'm sure she'll argue with his mother.

If so, she...

Da Fu.

Thank you.

Da Fu, you're right.

We should always look on the bright side of life.

Liu Chang is prideful and aloof. If he marries the princess,

the Liu family will definitely be in turmoil.

And now, Liu Shen's future is ruined.

They'll surely grow apart in the future.

Look.

Is Fang Garden up for sale?

Why didn't you tell me earlier?

I also found out about it yesterday.

I wanted to give you a surprise.

Now, it's a double blessing.

How do you feel?

Come on. Let's go and ask them about the price.
