The perpetrators were brutal in their methods -

- carrying DKK 8 million sewn into their clothes.

This again drew attention to the group of known suspects.

Today, after 75 court appearances, the Blekinge Gang was sentenced.

The verdicts showed that a group cannot be sentenced collectively.

The four robbers were acquitted of the fatal shooting -

- of officer Jesper Egtved Hansen.

Jan Weimann, 10 years in jail. Divorced. Teacher.

Bo Weimann. 7 years in jail. IT director.

Niels Jørgensen, 10 years in jail. Psychotherapist. Died in 2008.

Torkil Lauesen, 10 years in jail. MA in Economics. Consultant.

Carsten Nielsen. 8 years in jail. Was blinded in the car accident.

Jørn Moos retired from the police in 2003.

He still works on the case and has become friends with Bo Weimann.

The PET confirms that they surveilled the group over a period of 20 years.

However, they deny having had the evidence to make an earlier arrest.

It remains unsolved who shot 22-year-old Jesper Egtved Hansen.

Jan Weimann, Niels Jørgensen and Torkil Lauesen were convicted -

- of forgery, arms possession, attempted robbery and robbery.
