As you can see, there are two turnstiles

and two spools of rope.

Well, that rope is connected to the line above you,

and that is your lifeline.

Your goal tonight is to hold onto your lifeline

longer than your opponent.

All right, now, here's how this is gonna work.

Girls, you're gonna be suspended in the air,

and you're gonna hold onto a crossbar

that's connected to your lifeline.

Guys, you're gonna stand directly underneath

the opposing girl, at the wheel.

When I say go, the guys are gonna run around the turnstile,

which will make that rope tighter and tighter,

eventually pulling that bar out of the girl's hand.

The girl that holds on longest will win a point for their team,

and then you guys are gonna trade places,

and the girls are gonna be pushing the turnstiles,

and the guys are gonna be suspended in the air.

The first team to two points will win

tonight's elimination round.

- Okay, guys, take a look around.

There's only six teams left,

so that means three of you are going home with nothing,

but that also means three of you have a chance

to make some real money.

All right, today's challenge is called Catch and Release.

As you can see, there are two giant structures

suspended 30 feet over the water.

Now, they have a swinging bag between them.

Now, here's how it's gonna work.

To begin, the girls are gonna start

on top of that 40-foot structure.

They're gonna be swinging that bag back and forth,

letting it get as much momentum as possible,

so that it can reach your partner

that is standing on the starting platform.

Once in striking distance, you're gonna jump

from the starting platform, land onto the bag,

and ride it all the way

to the opposite platform with flags,

where you are then gonna jump off of the bag

and capture as many flags as you can

before plummeting into the water.

This process will continue for ten minutes.

The team to get the most flags the fastest

will win today's challenge, be safe from elimination,

and also be nominating two teams to draw skulls at that Jungle.

Nate and Christina, since you guys won

the last Jungle, you guys are gonna be choosing today's order.

a stranglehold on a game

against either Nany and Wes or Cheyenne and Devin.

First order of business, let's bring in the players.

so you guys are playing tonight, no matter what,

but who you're playing against is still up in the air.

It's either gonna be Wes and Nany or Devin and Cheyenne.

Tonight you guys are gonna be

drawing skulls out of that canister.

There are four skulls in that canister,

three white ones and one black one.

You draw that black skull,

and you're staying down here in The Jungle with me,

and you're going against Christina and Nate.

Wes, you're gonna draw the skulls first.

- This means that either the guy I like in the house

or my cousin is going home,

and that really cuts deep.

It hurts because no matter what,

I'm gonna have to be saying bye to one of them.

That skull is black, so that means you

and Wes are staying down here with me

and going against Christina and Nate.

- Okay, guys, tonight's game is called Shattered Dreams.

As you can see, there are two towers with windows in them.

Tonight your goal is to shatter all those windows out

by using this battering ram.

The girls are responsible for cranking

that battering ram to the proper height.

The guys will be responsible for aiming that battering ram

and smashing it through those windows.

The first team to break out all of their windows

will win tonight's elimination round

and stay in the game.

The losing team goes home with nothing.

You do not want to go home.

Got it? Good luck.

- I don't think this is gonna be as easy as anybody thinks it is.

This is one of those where it could be anybody's game.

- I'm feeling confident, and I just want to get this over with.

I want to win, and I want to come back into this house.

- I'd be lying if I said that a sixth-grader

didn't have as good of a shot at beating us

as an Olympian right now.

No one practiced this stuff, so this is a coin flip,

so we just got to stay focused and break that glass.

- You never want to underestimate anybody,

and I'm not underestimating them at all.

- Not at all.

- Wes is a really smart guy,

and Nany is pretty strong, so I just don't know.

- It's another opportunity to prove ourself.

I think that we're pretty good when it comes to pressure.

- Nicole is a factor,

a big motivation to get back to her.

- The fact that I got the first window

is so much of a big momentum uptake.

which is very interesting because her cousin

is competing right now, and she's not saying a word.

if I wasn't hoping my cousin would be back?

But what kind of girl would I be if the guy that I like,

I can't really root him on. It really sucks.

- Yes! Like that, Nate.

I can't get a good hold on it.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I don't know how to control it.

It's really exciting, honestly, to just see a box break.

because I think it looks bad on both parts

to sit here and cheer for one, then cheer for the other.

- Good job, Nany. - I understand that Nicole

is in a bad place

because I'm competing against her boyfriend

of X amount of weeks, but I just feel like it's wrong.

I feel like it doesn't matter who I'm going against.

You always cheer for your blood.

You always cheer for your family.

- Yes, sir.

- We're close, Nate.

It's stressful. That thing won't break.

every once in a while,

he does something that actually impresses you,

and tonight he's figured out the rhythm

on how to get this thing done.

- You killed it. - Good work.

- That was awesome. - No high-fives.

- I feel amazing right now,

and I'm so proud of this guy right here.

He killed it, and you know, I'm just really proud of us

and what we're doing and just winning this elimination.

- My hands hurt real bad, but I have a funny feeling

we have to do two more of these before we go to the finals.

- Yeah. - That [bleep] sucks.

It's surreal now, huh?

I feel like Christina did a heck of a job putting it right

where it needed to be, and I just couldn't get it done.

- We have definitely bonded through this whole experience.

He's a great teammate.

Together, you know, we made it happen,

made it to the eighth challenge, and I think we did a great job.

- Wes and Nany, congratulations. You guys are still in the game,

a couple of veterans making it happen.

- Good job, guys. - I'm so happy,

and I'm so proud of Wes.

Nicole didn't have my back, but this elimination

pretty much justified the fact that she would much

rather have her boyfriend here than her own cousin.

- All right, Christina and Nate, you guys have come a long way.

I'm proud of you guys for making it this far.

- Nicole, you are an amazing girl.

I definitely couldn't have done this experience without you.

You gave me a reason to keep coming back in this house,

and I definitely hope

that we can continue this relationship

outside of this house.
