Get out of here.

Get out of here.

Quickly.

Where are we?

Where did these dogs come from?

Forget your bag. Get out now.

Careful.

Careful.

Quick.

This town used to be very crowded.

Since everyone left, the dogs are out of control.

Be careful, sir.

Stop being late.

Quickly.

My money is gone.

Who took my money?

My money is gone.

Has anyone seen my money?

My life depends on it.

Have you seen it?

- You? - I haven't seen it.

Have you, young man?

I really need it.

It was money I had been saving all year.

- Have you seen my money? - Did you lose it earlier?

Impossible.

- Isn't he Mr. Lang's son? - Probably.

We are ten minutes from Xixia.

If you found it, return it.

My family needs this money.

Hey, young man!

You can't leave yet!

I lost my money.

- Driver, my money is missing and he wants to leave. - Look for your money on the bus.

I had five wads of cash in my bag.

Now there are only four.

Someone must have taken one.

Hey!

I just called the police.

They'll be here soon.

If you cooperate, you can leave soon.

Hi boss.

We had an accident.

I was driving the bus....

When all these dogs appeared out of nowhere...

The bus overturned.

Grandma, there's a huge dog.

The passengers seem to be in good condition. No serious injuries.

It's not a dog, it's a wolf.

Why did you take so long?

We were starting to panic.

- Was anyone hurt? - A few scratches.

- I lost 1000 yuan. I think it was stolen. - You can't know.

So how did the accident happen?

While I was driving the bus, a pack of dogs ran towards me.

I told you we had to solve this dog problem.

- What about my lost money? - Stop complaining.

1000 yuan is enough to start an investigation.

Everyone stay calm.

Help me.

Give me your IDs.

You, turn the bus upside down.

We'll handle the stolen money at the police station.

Come on!

Pull, come on!

Come on and help.

Lift with all your might.

One, two, three...

Are you on parole?

You were famous.

Lang Yonghui, right?

Come on up.

- Shall we go up? - Yes. Don't forget your luggage.

Everyone, come on board.

BLACK DOG

Please pay attention!

This is an important announcement.

A skinny black dog is roaming thecity recently.

It is believed to have rabies.

It has bitten many residents in the area.

Residents in the area should be alert and safe.

Lang Yonghui. Come here.

Anyone who sees the skinny black dog should report to the authorities.

In addition to a generous reward for anyone who catches the dog...

...the Honorary Citizen is awarded.

Come inside and take off your shirt.

And your pants.

Come back. Lean against the wall.

- How long will this take? - A little more.

There's food here. Help yourself.

Let me know if you need anything.

It's okay.

Just stubborn. He won't say a word.

Good evening, our dear listeners.

Today is July 1st, Tuesday.

Or May 28th according to the Lunar Calendar.

38 days before the Beijing Olympics, there will be the total solar eclipse of the century.

Your noodles.

Isn't this Mr. Lang's son?

- Was he released early? - Probably for good behavior.

He was the best motorcycle rider in the circus.

I remember you liked those noodles, Lang.

I bet prison food isn't like that.

We came to honor old Ki.

Old Ki died.

- Really, when? - He died yesterday.

My condolences.

At 6:21 Beijing time on the first day of August...

the most spectacular and longest-lasting total solar eclipse of the century will occur.

Look, Lang.

Old man Ki died yesterday.

If you're here, come to the funeral.

The faithful son is at the door.

Bow down.

One more time.

Again.

You may stand up.

Go to hell.

How were the noodles, Lang?

Keep your money.

Come back whenever you want.

As the Beijing Olympics approach, the media...

is calling it, the Olympic eclipse.

Lang.

You got out of prison early.

Did you escape?

Your father changed the locks after you left.

I've been watching the place all this time.

Wait here. I'll get the key.

Does your father know about your return?

Your father is now living at the zoo.

You should visit him.

He's been drinking a lot these days.

The drink will kill him.

You have the audacity to come back here.

The Hu family is watching you.

Your days are numbered.

You will pay for your crime!

Bastard!

Murderer!

Lang.

Come on up.

The city has changed a lot, hasn't it?

People are gone. Places are gone.

Buildings were demolished.

They call it new urbanism.

The theater where you played will be demolished.

The zoo will soon be demolished too.

Your father lived there for years.

I told him to go home. But he didn't listen.

You should visit him.

After all, he's your father.

It's something you should do.

Do you remember Dagua from school?

Look at him now.

When the townspeople started to leave, they left their dogs behind.

They say a dog bite made him like this.

But I'm not sure about that.

Sir.

All the stray dogs were expelled from the town.

The black dog? We're still looking for him.

Come in?

I can't come in now, honey.

Why don't you call a nurse?

I have to hang up.

Let's go.

This area is not under the jurisdiction of Xixia.

The area shrank when the oil workers left.

Luckily for us.

Lang.

Don't leave this city limit.

Did you go to the Residents' Committee?

You have to follow a reintegration program.

You are not allowed to leave the city.

Regularly report to the police department so we can monitor your progress...

and reintegrate you into society.

We know you were in a famous band and have won some awards.

You need to set an example now.

Process this man's residence permit.

Lang Yonghui.

Born June 24, 1970.

Your residence permit was revoked in 1999.

Don't make faces.

It's for an official document.

You're back, Erlang.

The boys in the band heard you were back.

They want to see you.

Our circus is on its way.

It closed, a year after you left.

They're opening an internet cafe.

Why don't you get a job?

You took a risk for the circus.

So I wanted to show my gratitude.

Erlang.

147 yuan.

Don't you want this?

Long distance calls cost 30 cents per minute.

- Hello? - Sister.

Lang?

You didn't tell me you went out.

Did you go see your father?

He's not answering my calls.

Tell him to stop drinking.

Don't forget to take his medication.

If you need money, let me know.

Will our house not be demolished?

How much compensation will we receive?

Who are you?

It's you, Lang!

- Master Qiu. - You're back.

Be careful, Master Qiu.

Master?

Now I'm just a drinking master.

I paid the consequences.

Did you come to see your father?

The days in prison must have been difficult.

- You never went home? - Which home?

My family left.

To the people in Shanghai, I am now a provincial.

I am too old to move.

But I still have clients, although very few.

The job is not easy.

Lang.

Lang.

Sit down.

Don't be so formal.

We're starting a dog patrol team.

I wrote you.

They're building a lot of factories here.

So we need a good working environment.

Think about it.

If you were a businessman, wouldn't you be scared of these stray dogs?

The future of our city depends on it.

We have to do it.

By the way, any news from Butcher Hu?

He was waiting for you.

Try not to cause trouble.

Let me know if he causes any problems.

In order to completely eliminate the problem of stray dogs...

measures will be taken throughout the city to collect them.

Register your pets.

Thank you all for your cooperation.

Keep our community peaceful and safe.

Everyone, listen up.

We may not be a professional patrol team...

but there are still rules that we have to follow.

Rule one. While on duty, don't interfere in people's business.

Rule two. Try not to harm the dog you catch.

Or yourself!

One, one.

Speak one, one.

Introduce yourselves.

I'll go first.

I'm Hu Wanli. People call me fathead.

I know the city well.

Come to me if you have any questions.

My turn, my turn!

You can call me Woo.

I had a dog once.

I know dogs better than myself.

I'm Greenie. I'm an expert in hunting dogs.

You're not doing it right.

I spent five years in prison learning to cook.

I went to prison for helping someone in a street fight.

When I got out, Mr. Yao took me in.

He's a good man.

At least I can pay for my family's surgery expenses.

You're not young anymore.

Stay with Mr. Yao.

Where is Lang?

In the kitchen.

I'll bring him.

It's your turn, Lang.

Fill it up to the top.

Be quiet.

Lang Yonghui.

Introduce yourself.

Let me do it for him then.

Lang was very famous in this city.

He was involved in a murder and served time in prison.

But now he's back among us.

That's why we shouldn't treat him any differently.

- Do we agree? - Agree!

Okay. Let's drink to Lang's health.

White bottom!

Drink or go!

Leave him alone.

We're all family here. Drink whatever you want.

Stay in formation.

Don't panic.

Come on.

Quick.

Form a triangle and surround the dog. Second team, form a circle.

Put the dogs in the van.

Aim, catch and clean up!

Damn dog!

Hello.

The stray cleanup operation has improvedthe lives of the residents.

Can you tell us about the challenges you faced?

A dog bit my hand.

If we want the factories here, the dogs have to be killed.

His!

You did a good job.

Woo.

Hello, Mr. Yao.

Cheers, Mr. Yao!

Lang.

Ready the truck.

Lang.

You idiot.

Hurry up, Nie.

- The customers are waiting. - Okay.

Faster!

Faster!

It's coming.

Get it, Lang.

What are you doing?

Are you sabotaging our work?

You didn't catch it on purpose.

This is our job.

What's your problem?

Say something!

Aren't you going to admit that you let it go?

Stubborn as a mule.

Say something!

We caught it and you let it go.

These dogs bite people.

What were you thinking?

I'm talking to you, don't you understand?

Say something.

Say something!

What happened?

Why did you fight?

What's wrong, Lang?

Do you want to give up?

You can't give up.

What am I going to tell Officer Liu?

Listen to me.

People are still getting bitten by these dogs.

We also need to check the pets.

If the owner hasn't registered their dog and refuses to do so, then we'll take it.

Redouble your efforts.

Finish the job.

Can you do it?

- Yes, sir. - Go.

After the Yenchuan earthquake, there was another aftershock.

The epicenter is where our area meets the Hengduan Mountains.

Lang?

How about I put you on the transportation team?

How do you like it?

- How do I declare the dog? - You only pay 150 yuan...

just fill out the form and take a photo.

- Can you give any discount? - That's the rule.

It's set at 150 yuan for everyone.

I've had this dog for over ten years.

- How can I give it to you? - If you don't pay, we'll take it.

Annie!

Give me Annie back.

Annie!

- Give me Annie back. - Go to your grandmother.

Annie!

Grandma!

Grandma!

They took my puppy, Grandma.

They took Annie, Grandma.

Grandma!

- We're taking them to the shelter. - I know you're selling them.

Who's saying that?

You don't understand.

- Someone saw you selling the dogs. - Who saw you?

- Can't you give a discount? - We caught these dogs one by one.

It's a very difficult job.

- Until I got bitten. - Just a little discount?

- 12,000 is the best I can do. - Here's 10,000. It's either that or nothing.

Butcher Hu.

Cyang.

What are you doing here?

Destiny determines life and death.

Everything is okay.

Is my nephew's life worth that much?

Mr. Ki is dead.

For your valuable support...

I thank you all on behalf of the Ki family.

Thank you for your kindness towards him.

May he rest in peace.

Hello, Lang.

How from here?

That's right.

I completely forgot.

Forget it. Keep it, please.

Come with me.

From here.

Sit here.

Shoot. I'll be back soon.

Guys. Mr. Yao is here.

- You all did a good job. - You too, captain.

Is everyone here?

Fill it up.

Aboard!

Drink to your heart's content.

Walk with your head held high...

in the sky, in the forest and in the dunes.

The road ahead is long and winding.

We will all walk together, hand in hand.

In our chest...

News bulletin...

Tonight, a sandstorm will hit the Gobi Desert northwest...

of the city with strong winds...

Everyone stand up!

They found the black dog.

Let's go. We found the big prize.

The weather service is predicting low visibility and strong winds.

Vehicles under four tons are prohibited.

- Lock him up. - Surround him.

He's coming.

Get out of there.

Lock him in.

He's in.

On the second floor.

Go around the back!

On the balcony.

Circle it.

Don't let him escape!

Bring the cage.

Catch him.

Let's go!

Take him to the shelter. Okay?

Let me try.

Here.

See?

Please.

We're going to be performing in Hixia for a while.

You should come and see the show.

It's really fun.

Calm down. Don't stress.

If you're tense, the needle won't go in.

If you get the rabies shot within 24 hours, you won't get sick.

Don't move. I haven't put the needle in yet.

Are you relieved?

He said if you get the shot within 24 hours, there won't be any problem.

What the...

What the hell?

The same dog?

Come back and let me take a look.

How long has it been?

You have a fever.

Look at the water. Do you feel uncomfortable?

Is it too bright?

Stay here. I'll bring you some food.

Sensitivity to light, water and wind, pain and fever...

These are all signs of rabies.

Human or dog, once you get rabies you die.

I got an idea.

A ten-day observation.

Watch the dog fora week.

If he's alive after a week, he's not rabid. And you're fine.

That's what Yao did when he had dogs.

He tried it several times. It always works.

You shouldn't leave the house for a few days.

Residents of Xixia! I wish you all a beautiful evening.

The Yuanda Song and Dance Troupe will perform.

There will be songs, dances and acrobatics.

A ticket costs only 10 yuan.

Don't miss this opportunity.

For great entertainment, only 10 yuan.

Who are you?

What are you looking at?

Guess who?

You really came. Did you miss me?

What's the use of a mask?

What's wrong?

Do you have a fever?

Your turn.

- What happened? - The motorcycle broke down.

You're next.

- Fix it quickly. - Okay.

Okay, guys!

Next comes the performance that changes the face of Peking Opera.

Next comes the motorcycle stunts.

Let's give them a loud round of applause!

Still not fixed?

Move.

Do you know how to fix motorcycles?

Come here.

You have many talents.

Why don't you come with us?

We'll be here for a while longer anyway.

Come with us.

- Dancers, it's your turn. - Here we come.

My name is Grape.

How beautiful.

Look at those legs!

This is what we've been waiting for.

In short...

our city depends not only on the support provided by economic policies...

but also on the entrepreneurship of our residents.

For example, our city's resident, butcher Hu.

His snake business is very successful.

There is a great demand for snake venom and meat.

For food, medicine and other healthcare products...

Snake breeding is a traditional activity, unique to China.

We should all support it.

Lang!

Lang!

Lang!

Lang!

The dog should have been in the yard.

Did you let a wild dog into the house?

What you did was wrong.

The quarantine is over.

Is your fever gone?

Lang?

Do you play the guitar?

Were you ever this good to your father?

The dog is a stray.

You have to hand him over.

They're looking for him now.

Everyone's looking for him.

Why are you keeping him?

Now you're out and you have to follow the rules.

Lang.

We're very old friends.

The truth is...

- You don't play anymore? - Who plays these days?

Why don't you listen?

Don't give him alcohol, you'll kill him.

- I want to keep the dog. - Are you serious?

Didn't you learn anything in prison?

You can't take it.530 - No stray dogs allowed. - This is our job.

Are you crazy?

Wait.

Who do you think you are?

'Turn on the light.

Lang.

Lang!

Enough.

Keep the dog.

Why so nervous?

Don't forget to declare him.

Dad?

- Where is the wolf? - He's gone.

How so?

I didn't have money to feed him.

Come here.

Walk with your head held high.

In the sky, in the forest and in the dunes.

The road ahead is long and winding.

We will all walk together, hand in hand.

With their chests up and their bare feet...

in cotton coats.

The bankbook.

Take the money.

Don't lose it.

Have you forgotten what day it is?

It's been ten years.

You owe me an explanation.

Explain "negligent homicide" to me.

And the "accidentally fell off the cliff"...

This is where he fell.

You chased him to the edge of the cliff.

He didn't brake in time.

You killed him.

My brother stole some money from you and paid for it with his life.

Bring him here.

Today you will jump off this cliff.

Just like my nephew.

Do you think you are great?

If you survive the jump, then you'll be lucky.

What's wrong? Are you scared? It's fine.

Bow to my nephew's photo three times, and we'll be done.

Otherwise, jump off the cliff.

Let him go!

He won't get far.

Mr. Camel.

The skinny black dog went looking for you.

Butcher Hu broke in.

Dear residents!

On the first day of August...

at 6:21 Beijing time...

the most spectacular and longest solar eclipse of the century will occur.

Our city is one of the best places to watch it.

The ideal viewing point...

would be the high points of the Gobi Desert, 50 km west of Xixia.

Bring your sunglasses with you.

Follow the rules and stay safe.

- Who hit Mr. Camel? - What do you care?

I'm taking a photo for your identification.

Don't move.

Lang.

Your father is in the hospital again.

This time his condition seems serious.

You'd better go see him.

Dogs are not allowed in the hospital. Get out!

Son.

I have a favor to ask of you.

The tiger in the zoo.

Take care of her for me.

She shouldn't miss a single meal.

If you can't afford to feed her...

take her to the mountains and set her free.

So that she doesn't hurt anyone.

Are you feeding the tiger porridge?

Where is the wolf that was here?

By the way, the boss arranged some things for me.

If permission is granted, we can do our performance here.

Thank you for letting us stay here.

Tiger...

What?

I was just touching him.

What's going on?

I have the blood of a Roman legionnaire in my veins.

See?

I told you nothing would happen.

Try it.

Come on.

Turn off the machine.

Please...

unplug the power cord.

Do this test at the end of the hall.

Results come out in 10 minutes.

You'll also need to do a CT scan.

Dad? Why aren't you answering my calls?

Are you okay?

Is Lang there?

Make sure he takes care of you.

I can't come to see you.

Jiaquan lost his job.

Our son will start school soon.

We spend so much money.

I got a second job.

I have almost no free time.

Did you get your relocation allowance?

- I was thinking... - It's me, sister.

Lang.

I've been having a hard time lately.

It's not easy to support a family of three.

I'm sure you understand.

Sister.

Our father won't make it.

Drink...

Drink...

Drink...

Don't look at me.

Hey, you.

- Do a motorcycle stunt. - I'm too old.

A man in his thirties is not old.

I'm 34 years old.

They say a woman starts to grow old after thirty.

Come up here.

Come here. Let's drink!

You see that bastard?

Look at him.

We've been together for three years.

But he's not committed.

I have no idea what he wants.

I'm just following him around.

It's a bad situation.

Do you like me?

Do you like me?

Would you marry me?

We move forward...

with our heads held high...

to the sky...

to the forest...

and to the dunes.

Where are we going?

I guess we should keep going.

Keep going.

Let's not look back.

Keep going.

Help.

Help.

Lang. Get help.

Lang.

Lang.

Lang.

The refrigerator...

Don't leave.

Antidote.

Serum.

Help me.

Deal with him first.

The dog is crazy. Let him go.

Your dog is running too fast.

We couldn't catch him.

Lang.

Let me know if you need anything.

Lang.

Your father deposited the money in your name.

The savings account was opened on June 24, 1970.

The day you were born.

The money came in every month until 1998.

Your balance, including interest, is 12,268.56 yuan.

Are you going to take it all?

He's putting up posters about that stupid dog everywhere.

Lang!

Lang!

Mr. Yuan. Tell him what you told me.

There are a lot of dogs in the ring. Why don't you look there?

- What's your reward, Lang? - Shut it up.

You should go out of town.

Is that you, Lang?

The big rock star.

When I came here in 1997, I went to one of your concerts.

What are you doing here?

Is that your dog?

He won't survive.

He had an accident and his organs were damaged.

There's no going back from this.

Can I buy you a drink?

You don't have to pay.

You can take the dog.

Give me an autograph.

Let's at least take a selfie.

As a souvenir.

Everyone pack your things!

We're going south.

You can leave if you want.

Fall in love, if you can.

The circus will go on, with or without you.

Fate may bring us together again.

Lang.

Lang.

Lang.

These are for your dog.

The meat in the car is from Yao. For the tiger.

But you must do your duty.

On this day of the year, I want you to pay your respects to my nephew.

Attention, residents of the area.

To implement the city's economic development plan...

to modernize it and to offer its residents...

a comfortable living environment...

as of today, a large part of the city will be demolished...

and the resettlement process will begin.

To all residents of the area, especially the elderly and children...

it is recommended to stay away from demolition sites and bulldozers.

Residents of the area must stay safe...

and must act in accordance with the instructions of the authorities.

Working together, we will achieve great things...

and help create a society that lives in harmony.

Quickly.

I wonder how these puppies will live?

I hope better than their father.

Fireworks light up the stadium...

at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games...

creating a magnificent halo...

that activated an ancient sundial.

Hey, you! Don't help them to bury the light Don't give in without a fight

Hey, you! Out there on your own Sitting naked by the phone Would you touch me?
