[Who's the Boss]

[Episode 14]

Chen, you're really strong.

You know everything, truly a veteran of the company.

Of course.

So, when you mentioned the vice president was cheating,

I thought, I clearly remember him getting married.

But I never heard

any news about him getting divorced, right?

So, I immediately went back

to look for that wedding invitation file and the address book.

And that's how I found Mrs. Han.

It's Gao Shuangyun.

The secret weapon worked, it worked.

Hello, Miss Gao.

If you're free, come over to my place.

If you don't have anything important to do today,

then do you want to rest at home for the day?

I'll contact you later.

No, you…

Okay, bye.

What are you doing?

- What are you doing? - What are you doing?

I think she must be very upset right now.

Do you want to go see her first?

What do you mean?

Shouldn't we clear up this matter as soon as possible?

- Yeah, right. - Yeah, right.

The secret weapon we found with so much effort.

What are you doing now?

No, I just think

if this matter were to be exposed just like that,

Gao Shuangyun might also get implicated.

Although she is an accomplice,

she's also a victim.

Yes, that's true.

So, I'm thinking

if there's a way to punish Han Xinzheng,

and yet protect Gao Shuangyun.

What way?

Someone is coming.

You're very annoying.

What's wrong?

Is it because the case I gave you is too boring,

or I myself am too uninteresting?

It's not challenging, and not fun anymore?

No, it's because I feel troubled by some things.

Can I tell you about it?

Of course, I'd be happy to be your AI processor.

But it's the user pays, you know.

Then how much do I have to pay?

You tell me your troubles first.

I'll assess and see.

Haven't I told you before

that I'm waiting for a key piece of evidence to clear my name?

What's complicated right now

is there's someone I want to punish,

but there's another person I want to protect.

I don't know what to do.

Director Chen.

[Skewer Specialty Store] Mr. Zhang.

I really love you guys.

- Three thousand five hundred yuan. - I love you too.

Let me tell you, previously, about our construction company

in the passenger transit district's Regent, Grand Hyatt.

Because of your advertisement exposure, sold like hotcakes/

- Sold like hotcakes. - Awesome.

Nice!

Honestly speaking.

Please, it's a hassle.

Next up, our construction company's image advertisement

will have to trouble you two.

Okay.

- Absolutely. - Rest assured.

[Skewer Specialty Store] Tianfu, such a generous man.

We'll definitely help with this favor.

Thank you.

Tianfu.

I see it's only ten o'clock now.

How about we find another place for a drink?

Keep the party going.

Keep the party going.

- Nice! - Let's continue.

- Let's continue. - Go.

Let's go.

Let's go, let me tell you.

- Go. - Let's continue.

Let's continue.

Manager, Director Chen and Manager Zhang.

I'm really sorry.

Whenever our manager gets drunk,

he just wants to rest.

Careful, Manager.

Then, Secretary Li,

please take good care of your boss.

Okay.

Tianfu, let's plan for next time then.

- Next time, definitely next time. - Next time.

- Next time. - No flaking, okay?

- Okay, bye. - Definitely next time.

- Next time. - Bye.

I'll be waiting for you.

Careful, Manager.

Manager.

Manager, honey water.

Thank you.

Luckily we had a great understanding just now, working perfectly together.

Otherwise, we would have been dragged to the bar to continue.

I would certainly end up paying and playing the fool.

It's really so lucky to always have you by my side.

You truly are

the strongest secretary in my heart.

So, I'm

still just a secretary to Tianfu.

Setting up a game so early?

Are you like me, an old person,

who can't sleep at night?

Playing in the dark is the only way to show true skills, isn't it?

You can tell where the ball will land even with your eyes closed.

Doesn't that resemble running a company?

Where you don't have to get hands-on to grasp every movement.

You're so young and yet you're telling me these profound truths.

Don't tell me you're the same as me.

Sending good morning images upon waking up.

Are you sure you can control the direction of every ball though?

Good shot.

- You're here. - Morning.

Morning.

You haven't eaten yet, have you?

I brought you breakfast.

I'm such a lucky man.

There are mosquitoes.

Did you hit it?

It seems to have flown away just now.

Is your home's keycode lock set to your ex-wife's birthday?

Change it.

Okay, I'll changed it.

I think it's not just the keycode lock that needs changing.

Might as well change the house too.

So, the house needs to be changed too?

It was okay not knowing before.

But knowing about your ex-wife,

there's always going to be a knot in my heart.

Actually, I really don't want to come here again.

Why not just sell the house?

Or you could move in and live with me, that's also fine.

How about it?

Please.

Alright, I'll do as you say.

Just right, if the house sells smoothly,

the money could help pay off your mortgage.

Hurry up and have breakfast.

Otherwise, you'll be late.

I'll get the utensils. Have you eaten?

I've eaten already.

Good morning, Mr. Cai.

What a coincidence.

Good morning.

You look refreshed and energized.

You caught an 'eagle' while playing ball this morning, didn't you?

Since when did you learn fortune-telling?

No, I've been working for you for so long.

It's deduced according to your skill level.

Right?

So, what are your thoughts?

Go ahead and speak.

Okay.

Mr. Cai, it's like this…

- Chen. - Good morning.

Morning.

This is the tea I've made.

You take it to the boss to try.

How did you know I was coming to make tea at this time?

I misspoke, what I mean to say

is this pot I've brewed beforehand

can be given to the boss first.

Let me tell you, this is top-grade Red Jade tea from Sun Moon Lake.

Its taste has hints of cinnamon and mint.

It's refreshing and has a sweet aftertaste.

Let Mr. Cai give it a try.

Sounds pretty good.

Then I'll let him try it.

Okay.

What about Manager Wu's tea?

No worries, I'll brew it again.

Okay, then thank you.

Don't mention it.

Take care, Chen.

I wasn't here these few days.

Is there any big news at the company?

No, all departments are performing their duties and operating normally.

This isn't the tea I usually drink, is it?

Why did you suddenly change the tea on me?

The taste is quite good.

This tea was specially brewed for you by Secretary Li from the Planning Department.

She said this tea is refreshing and mellow.

She wanted you to try it.

It seems that our colleagues in the Planning Department

are all full of enthusiasm.

Very good, keep it up.

Come on, is there anything else to review or to sign?

Okay, let's see.

This is the performance report of all departments for this month.

What about the development plan for Changyi Assets?

We have already fixed a time with the other party

to discuss further.

We are currently in the phase of site preparation and survey.

For Landscape Development, we plan

to combine it with the construction project in Zhonglu C District

to create a landmark for the special zone.

Then we'll introduce five-star property services.

Excellent, our company's products must be the best.

Vice President, it's the real estate agent.

Go ahead and get busy.

Vice President, Manager, I'll go and get busy too.

- Okay. - Okay.

Come on.

Thank you.

Yes.

With Zhou by my side,

I always feel uneasy inside.

You don't need to worry.

They don't have any evidence.

I need to find a way to get rid of him.

Even if you want to get rid of him, you need a legitimate reason.

Besides, you still have so many trivial matters to deal with.

Don't rush, take it slow.

Director Zhang.

Vice President Han.

You're here for a Mr. Lu's wedding banquet too?

Mr. Lu has a wide circle of friends.

Besides, his second son is getting married.

Of course, I have to come and congratulate him.

You also keep it up.

When will you marry Cindy from our company?

I'll definitely give you a big red envelope.

I'll work hard.

Marry earlier.

To have someone to look after each other at work or in life.

And it's also a security for Cindy.

Rest assured, even if Cindy is still single,

her work ability already surpasses many people.

Of course, I know that.

But just imagine,

after getting off work,

having your other half at home, having cooked dinner waiting for your return.

What a blissful scene that would be.

Vice President Han.

You're so eager to promote Cindy.

Are you afraid that her excellence will steal your position?

Or do you have some dirt about her?

What dirt could there be?

I'll go in first, we'll talk later.

See you later.

- Please come in. - Thank you.

Are you serious?

They agreed so quickly?

I can hardly believe it myself.

I have been a real estate agent for over a decade.

It's the first time I've encountered a client who didn't even bargain.

Absolutely no bargaining.

No need to arrange a meeting either.

The client said to leave it all to us.

We'll represent and sign the contract with you.

Please, go ahead.

Thank you.

What's wrong? Are you afraid of a scam?

Mr. Han, rest assured.

Our company and your construction company

have been working together for so many years.

And we are considered leaders in the industry.

Our credit is quite good.

It couldn't be a scam.

That's not what I meant.

I just meant to say,

that how did the buyer agree so quickly?

Because the buyer has a special affection

for this area.

Moreover, Mr. Han, the condition of your house is so good.

That's why he wanted to buy it quickly.

You just said that the other party is willing to buy in cash at one time.

That's right, pay in full at once.

The other party is willing to buy at our asking price.

And it's in cash too.

I think it's very acceptable.

Then let's sign the contract.

Okay, come on.

Please take a look here.

If there are no issues,

then just sign your name at the end here for me.

I'll continue to handle the follow-up for you.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

Vice President Han, I want to confirm one more thing with you.

About the proceeds from the house sale,

are they to be directly transferred into Miss Gao's account?

I think some people are already suspicious.

If the house is sold, it's not a small amount.

I think in the short term,

it's better not to have

large fund movements in your account.

What do you think?

Okay, I understand.

Thank you.

I heard you're the busiest in your department.

The capable are always busy.

Keep it up, I have high hopes for you.

He didn't wash his hands.

You need to be careful with Wu Tianfu.

Don't make that face.

Let me tell you.

The capable aren't just overworked, they're excessively overworked.

Understand? Learn from this.

Why don't they wash their hands? That's so gross.

This shirt is still new, you know.

Is there alcohol? Alcohol?

Here.

Yun, urology.

Why do we need to come here?

First answer me one question.

Do you want to have children?

Yun.

I think the two of us are fine as we are now.

Besides, I'm already at this age.

If we really want to have children,

then I think we can discuss it further.

Don't be nervous.

I don't want to have children either.

But you're about to move into my place.

I'm afraid that over time, an accident might happen.

Accidentally…

So, every time I use protection.

But since we are already in agreement

in not wanting to have children,

then why don't you just get a vasectomy and be done with it?

I get a vasectomy?

Or do you really want me to go through the surgery.

Yun, it's not that…

Come straight here to get a vasectomy.

I think maybe we should think it over a bit more.

Besides, I've heard it's quite painful.

Alright then, I'll take some special leave to get the surgery done

Yun.

Don't be nervous.

The doctor said the surgery will take roughly

about half an hour to complete.

And you'll have local anesthesia.

It won't be very painful.

Okay.

Sign this, please.

What's this?

Consent form.

Sign here.

Yun, will you wait for me outside?

Of course, I'll definitely be there at such an important moment.

You'll see me in just a moment.

Then I'll go out and wait for you.

Okay.

Mr. Han.

I'm going to give you an anesthetic injection now.

Where will the anesthesia be administered?

Sir, you weren't listening when the doctor was speaking just now.

It's going to be directly inserted into

your testicles there.

Tes…

Sorry.

I didn't hear the doctor say that.

Anyway, it's going to be inserted from the inside of your thigh.

Close to the scrotum.

Sir, don't be nervous.

I'm not nervous.

Why do you have to hold me down?

If we don't hold you down,

then what should we do if you move around later,

or I insert it in the wrong place?

Insert it wrong?

Isn't it possible to insert it wrong?

Let's start.

Good shot.

It's your turn now.

No problem.

Thank you, everything is going according to your script now.

But Gao Shuangyun doesn't feel

that she can get away perfectly.

She feels that she herself should receive some punishment.

It had never crossed my mind when I was fighting with her before.

She is such an upright person.

However, it bothers me that you have to spend so much money on buying a house.

I feel a bit guilty.

Even though there is a saying that a loss may turn out to be a gain.

This phrase is somewhat cliché.

But for you, it's well worth it.

You see, this is the result of not being focused enough.

Because your swing stability is not yet sufficient.

Come on, get set.

Swing up easily.

Good, very nice.

Always remember to power through with your lower body.

Start with the waist.

Then the hips, legs,

and finally up to the chest cavity.

Align your target with the direction of your ball.

This will make it much easier.

Also, I've noticed something.

It's your stance.

It's too narrow, you can stand a bit wider.

Come on, wider.

Many people think

that the stance should be as wide as the shoulders.

In fact…

I've found that golf

is really a very women-friendly sport.

It can make men willingly submit to you.

I think I can submit to you without golf.

You never thought

that I pretended not to know so that you would come close to teach me?

So, I've been tricked?

What do you think?

Dear.

Why are you wearing this now?

No, the doctor said I must behave for a month.

At the earliest, it would take two weeks.

I can't think about these things.

Stay calm, calm.

I'm dressed like this

is just to…

To do what?

What do you want to do?

Take this and do some cleaning.

Why are you dressed like that to clean at home?

This way, I won't sweat.

I can't take it anymore.

- Thank you - Thank you.

Are you really going to stay in a hotel?

If I continue to live at home,

I'm afraid I'll have serious insomnia.

Remember to apply ice and ointment.

If it really hurts, take painkillers.

I understand.

Or I can go up with you?

No need, I can go up by myself.

See you at the company tomorrow.

Good night.

Bye.

Vice President, hello.

Meng Heng, I've called for your car.

Yes, that's right.

You have a part-time job driving?

Yes.

But Vice President, why are you staying at a hotel?

And you need to call for a car?

I'm not feeling well, had a minor surgery.

Staying at a hotel is more convenient.

You've worked hard.

- Be careful. - Thank you.

You're good, even know how to earn extra money with part-time jobs.

Yes, closing now.

Okay.

Unlike you, earning all that unscrupulous money.

- Vice President, do you need help? - No, it's fine.

- Really? - Yes.

- Is it okay? - Thank you.

Okay.

Vice President Han's walk looks strange.

I don't know.

Maybe he stubbed his toe, his foot must be hurting.

Doesn't look like a foot pain.

Looks more like, I don't know…

- Where? - I'll go get the package first.

Vice President Han's silhouette

seems to be having such bad luck today.

Feels like something big is going to happen.

I feel that way too.

Come in.

Vice President, here's the ice pack you asked for.

Vice President, is there somewhere you're not feeling well?

Is there anything I can help with?

It's nothing, I just twisted my hand by accident yesterday.

Just need to ice it a little bit and it'll be fine.

You go ahead with your work.

Then take good care of yourself.

Oh, right, Vice President, no…

My hand just slipped a moment ago.

The boss said when you're free,

go up and see him.

Okay, I know.

Then, take good care of yourself.

[Deputy General Manager's Office]

Why hasn't Chen called yet?

Does Mr. Cai really know?

Chen said that Mr. Cai was going to handle it half an hour ago.

Pick up.

Hello?

Understood, thank you, Chen.

Come in.

Chen notified us, it's time to go up.

What must be faced, must be faced.

Let's go.

I think it's better if I go up alone.

Keep some good impressions of Vice President Han.

I'm also at fault for this matter.

I must go and face the consequences.

For your part, I'll ask the boss to handle it separately.

Don't go, lest it upsets you.

Let's put an end to this.

Yes, everything is coming to an end.

This brief journey will eventually come full circle.

All my efforts

will ultimately be in vain.

[General Manager's Office]

Mr. Cai.

Have a seat.

I'll get straight to the point, Chen.

I, Han Xinzheng,

have used my power and unequal relationships

to coerce Miss Gao Shuangyun

into helping cover up corruption and criminal facts.

Wait a minute, Chen.

What is this?

This is the confession you signed.

Mr. Cai, I've never signed anything like this.

Mr. Cai, could there be some misunderstanding here?

If you have no way to refute,

then I'll take it as your tacit admission.

Cindy.

Vice President Han, if you forget that you signed a criminal confession,

then you should remember this.

That's just a normal suitcase.

Don't they all look the same?

What should I remember?

This is what you had Miss Gao take out from your house.

Yun, she teamed up with you to set me up?

The company's accounting department,

worked overtime for several days auditing the accounts,

and found that you really took quite a bit of the company's money.

Moreover, you set a trap for embezzlement

dragging Cindy down,

and let Yun become the manager.

Do you want me to continue?

Han, if you're short of money, you can tell me.

Why would you do such a dirty thing?

Mr. Cai, I'm sorry.

This isn't something that can be resolved with a simple apology.

However, considering you've worked so hard for the company for so many years,

hurry up and go through the resignation procedures.

As long as you reimburse the public funds within the period I specify,

I won't make you pay extra compensation.

But you should hire a lawyer and get ready for the lawsuit.

Vice President Han.

I'm really not happy to let you go just like that.

Cindy, what are you doing?

I originally wanted to punch you a few times.

Considering you have also lost a lot.

I'll just let it be.

But please, don't let me see you again.

Cindy, what are you doing?

You look especially handsome today.

Isn't that right, Chen?

Especially handsome.

Vice President, thank you for your care over these years.

You have taught me many things at work.

I hope everything goes well for you in the future.

I'm no longer your Vice President.

You don't have to call me that anymore.

From now on, let's both do our best.

Vice President, take care.

Why did you betray me?

Haven't I been good enough to you?

Then why did you deceive me?

I've given you many chances.

You've never come clean.

What have I deceived you about?

What haven't I been honest about?

I've met your so-called ex-wife.

She showed me the evidence.

That's right, you two are divorced in the United States.

But in Taiwan, you're still legally married.

Thank you for making me the third woman.

I've sent the things you left at my place

to your hotel.

What do you mean?

Are you breaking up with me now?

Do we have any reason to continue being together?

So, you don't love me anymore?

It's because I loved you too much that I was foolish.

That's why I kept covering for you over and over again.

Do you think you're the only one who's sacrificed?

I listened to you and sold the house.

You made all the decisions.

I even got a vasectomy.

You even teamed up with Cindy to mess with me.

You getting a vasectomy, wasn't it because

you didn't want to have children?

I transferred half of the money from the house to your legal wife.

I used the other half to pay back the company for you.

That's how you were able to get out with everything intact.

I have nothing now, you're happy, right?

Are you all happy now?

You are my woman.

It's my duty to protect you.

I just love hearing you always say that.

My woman.

I made you a special cup of coffee.

Here's your favorite red bean cake.

You're so nice.

I know that.

You always want red bean cakes when you're in a bad mood.

♫ This time I must find happiness for myself ♫

Where is your girlfriend employed?

She's at…

Is she beautiful?

Very pretty.

Do you like her?

Very much.

My brother said that on my dad's birthday,

and he's asked me to come for dinner.

Do you want me to take you to dinner tonight?

Don't ask anything.

Tell me you want me in the simplest, most straightforward way.

I want you.

I want you.

The person in this world who can touch my tie

is only you, Gao Shuangyun.

♫ The appearance of grey ♫

♫ Embracing the shape of bareness ♫

♫ Be carefree like a child ♫

Come, let's congratulate ourselves on completing the puzzle.

The investigation was successful.

Come on, cheers!

What a pity.

Our Zhou and Chen,

for safety's sake,

are still investigating all the cases handled by the Vice President,

and couldn't come to celebrate with us.

Director Zhang, who planned everything for us

couldn't come because he had to socialize.

But that's okay,

even though we're few, it's still worth celebrating.

Celebrate that I can finally clear my name.

Come on, let's toast again.

Wait a moment.

- No problem, I'll order in a bit. - Okay.

- Come on. - Let's drink to this first.

Let's celebrate at the izakaya.

You're drinking longan red date tea?

Isn't that a bit of a buzzkill?

Can't help it, I'm on my period.

You think I want to?

Didn't it just start? How come it's back again?

It could be messed up because I was dieting recently.

I think I haven't had it for two months now, yikes.

That's no reason to make a big fuss, though.

You've been working on a case; the stress, you know.

It can cause a hormonal imbalance.

But we haven't been on the case for two months.

You and the director went straight to home base.

- You didn't tell me. - We didn't even hold hands.

What home base then?

Then you have even less to worry about.

You can't possibly reproduce asexually, right?

Four bottles of this.

Four bottles? Okay.

Don't call me 'sister'.

Call me Manager Wang.

Chen Duomi, let's go.

Why?

I'll tell you on the way. Let's go.

[Only by admitting you loved the wrong one can you become the right person]

[Next Episode] If you really like her,

then go after her bravely.

Chunfeng.

So, the child's father is Meng Heng.

Keep your voice down.

Drinking can lead to mistakes.

Tell me what do you want.

I want you.

[Manager's Office] I'll treat everyone fairly, just like Miss Gao.

I'll treat everyone fairly.

It seems no one is vying for that position with me anymore.

It was my choice to close my eyes.

It has nothing to do with you.

It's really not necessary.

- This is my punishment. - I'll be with you.

It seems you're having a pretty tough time.

♫ In the end, what can still ♫

♫ Be upheld ♫

♫ Can no longer believe ♫

♫ The boundless sea of stars ♫

♫ I wait for you ♫
