and exaggerated details.

The cars might not have always
\h\h\h\h\h\hbeen street legal,

but creativity was king.

My first impression
of James’s Cadillac

\h\his it’s jacked up,
it’s wild, it’s crazy.

Wow, man.

That’s an incredible
\h\h\hchassis, dude.

[James] That’s our million-
\hdollar frame right there.

-You did all that by hand?
\h\h\h-With these, buddy.

Wow.

It’s just a wicked vehicle.

I think it’s built awesome.

\h\h\hWhen I stand back
and look at this thing,

\h\h\h\hit is exactly
the way I pictured it.

[Mike] This is original?

\h\h\h\h\h\hThis is the way
the sun just ate the paint?

\h\h\h-[James] Yup.
-[Mike] That’s sick.

And we just kind of gave it
\h\h\h\h\h\hthe Comet wash,

and then we just
clear-coated it.

\h\h\h\h\h\hThe patina
is absolutely amazing.

\h\h\hWe didn’t want
to cover its scars.

\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\hWe wanted it
to wear its scars with pride.

It’s got the same patina
as the rest of the car.

[James] Taking a bunch of junk

\h\h\h\h\hand turning it
into something awesome.

\h\hIt had so much rust
in behind the back door

where there was a drain,

you could literally grab it,

and it was just flopping around.

\h[Rachel] We had to rebuild
that whole side on that one.

[Mike] That’s amazing.

\h\hWho would think
that a ’55 Cadillac

that was in the scrap yard

could end up looking

like the creation James did?

I think we did pretty good.

I think you did amazing.

[James] It’s really hard

to always be thinking
\h\h\houtside the box,

and I think we knocked this one
out of the park.
