- Danielle Pinnock, first of all,

what a pleasure she was to have on set.

- I feel like she really invigorated the entire crew to her,

energy was contagious.

It was such a joy to watch her, like, really transform.

- I'm so excited. - And in her reveal,

it was so genuine and she was so excited

and it was really such a blast working with her.

- This is a dream! She's a little punk rocker.

My mom would never let me get this at Claire's.

I am obsessed!

- We got the ears from DYAD

and pierced them all the way up.

It just gave this nice, like, a little more cool,

a little more hip look to a classic fairy,

and they sat very beautifully around the wig

that we built for her, and then into the wig we incorporated

little gold pieces and little knickknacks throughout.

We actually utilized some face prosthetics

that were originally sculpted for a merman-like creature,

and we thought they would be really cool

to add something unique and interesting to her face.

We wanted to give her something striking to look at

and make her out of this world a bit.

- She been through battle, too.

She looks so cute,

but she looks like she been through something.

What happened here, sis?

- Did she have any guesses on what she was going to be?

- She was really hopeful and dreaming

that she was a cockroach.

- What's your top three? - Oh my gosh, okay.

Definitely roach, for sure.

Am I being transformed into a roach?

- You guessed it.

- And then I remember being like,

oh, that's a good idea, but dang.

Season three, Danielle.

- And we kind of put her in, like, the opposite of that.

- [Alex] She was so beautiful and ethereal.

- She looked so gorgeous. - And then she's like,

I want to be a cockroach!

- [Crew] We're going to open the curtains.

- Okay. - And you'll see

how scary of a roach you really are.

- (screams) I can't wait!

- I'm obviously a huge fan of when an actor

takes the character in a totally different way

than what their costume looks like, and her choice

to be a dominatrix fairy from New York was so brilliant.

- Every person needs a hoe phase.

- Right. - Including your husband.

- Right. - Having Vic's husband

being one of their clients. - What?

- And having Danielle talk about the stepdaughter Bianca,

Vic being able to explore their character history

in this episode, which was one of the first episodes we shot

set the stage for a really, really wonderful backstory

for the rest of the season.

- Well, I have different relationships

with different people, okay, Vic?

- Well, I'm family, and more than that, I'm a coworker.

- I can't believe he wanted me to wear that suit.

I was never going to wear that suit,

I'm gonna tell you that right now.

Mm-mm, I do not do roleplay in ugly clothes.
