disease that my dear daddy used to call

the tulip-time vapors.

to maiden ladies.

Teddy Roosevelt was hiding

under our front porch
waiting to grab her by the legs.

Miss Emily thinks she's about
to enter the gates of Heaven.

but if she keeps pushing on those
gates the way she's doing now,

she's likely to
force her way in.

I wish there was something
we could do to help.

She and Miss Emily are
always doing something for us.

They treated me
like the king of Siam.

We didn't think we were gonna
