We’ve been in business

This build is important to me

our company, Western Gasco.

\h\hIt will be sort of
a calling card for us.

Our 20th anniversary
\h\h\h\his this fall,

\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\hso it’s crucial
that the truck is done by then.

\h\hThe cab was grafted
onto a 2006 Dodge 2500.

The engine was pushed back
\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\hsix inches

\h\h\hso we could put a radiator
and an intercooler in the front,

and the frame was shortened
from a longbox, 10 inches,

to make it a shortbox.

Ronnie is the master fabber.

[Narrator] Rob’s buddy, Ronnie,

\h\h\h\h\h\hhas been working
on the Diamond T for months,

but with the Gasco anniversary
\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\hweeks away,

he’s running out of time
\h\hto do it on his own.

700 bolts into this thing.

[Avery] These parts
\hare hard to find.

There’s pieces from all over
\h\hthe world on this thing.

I look at it.

Makes me feel good.

[Avery] This motor, this thing
\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\his a flat head,

but it runs absolutely awesome.

A blistering 148 horsepower.

Four-speed transmission.

It’s got a non-synchro
\h\h\h\hgear box in it.

\hLook at these tracks,
they’re like brand-new.

\h\h[Avery] These tracks have
stainless steel core in ’em.

\h\h\hThe old ones were steel,
and they would rust and break,

so they put stainless in ’em.

[Connor] They fought wars
\h\h\hwith these things.

They drove millions of miles
through the worst conditions.

\h\h\hI’m sure this thing
would go almost anywhere.

I want to look at the inside.

\h\h\h\h\h\hYeah what’s,
what’s behind this door,

the troop carrier here?

of this is 100% purpose-built.

There is nothing in here
\h\h\h\h\h\hfor comfort.
