- Whoa, it's our friend Commander Megan,

the astronaut! - Hello, Monster Machines.

- Wow, a real astronaut!

- [chuckles]

- It's great to see you again, Commander Megan.

- Yeah, welcome back to Axle City.

- Thanks, everyone.

I'm looking for a crew to come with me on a big space mission.

- A big space mission! To where?

- A mission to...

the planet Mars!

- [laughs] - Oh!

- So what do you say?

Do you want to go on a mission to mars?

- Oh, yeah! - You bet we do!

- Hooray!

- Crew, ready the engines.

- Check it out, Commander Megan's ship

has three engines.

- Let's count to turn them on. Count to three with us.

[together] One, two, three!

- Blast off!

- Whoo-hoo! - [laughs]

- Whoo-hoo! - Yeah!

- Yipee!

- Whoa!

♪ ♪

- Get ready, astronauts.

We're coming up on the planet Mars.

- Help us look for it.

Mars is covered in a rusty dust that makes it look red.

[pensive music]

- When you see a red planet, say "Mars"!

Mars! Yeah, there it is!

- Here we are, the planet Mars.

- Whoa! - Whoa!

- Amazing!

- Come on, crew, let's get exploring.

- Yeah!

- Hey, Crasher, I was thinking we could explore Mars

by taking pictures of all the things we discover.

- Yeah, we could get a picture of me discovering...

this rock! - Wow!

Now, that's an important picture.

- No, no, wait, wait, wait,

take a picture of me discovering two rocks.

- Even better!

- Ooh, ooh, what about three rocks?

- Uh-huh. - Or four.

- Yeah! - Oh, five!

- I like it! - No, no, no, six!

- That's working. - [laughs]

- Now, give me a big smile and say Mars!

- Whoa, ah!

- Oopsies.

♪ ♪

- Oh, no, look!

- The rocket engines, they're getting away!

- But without the engines, our ship can't fly!

- And if we can't fly,

then we can't get back to planet Earth!

[both scream]

- It's okay, you two. I can fix our ship.

We just need to get those engines back.

- AJ and I can handle that, Commander Megan.

- Yeah, we just need a special vehicle

that's made for going anywhere on Mars.

- Sounds like I'd better become...

A Mars rover Monster Machine!

[energetic rock music]

- Wow, rover-ific! - Wow.

- Okay, that's pretty cool.

- Looking good, Rover Blaze. - Thanks, Commander Megan.

Now, come on, AJ, let's go find those engines.

- Yeah!

[together] Rover power!

- ♪ Red planet Mars ♪

♪ ♪

♪ It's the fourth planet from the sun ♪

♪ Covered in rusty dust that makes it look so red ♪

♪ Less gravity makes jumping extra fun ♪

♪ And it's got two moons overhead ♪

♪ Mars has tall mountains, canyons, and more ♪

♪ Like volcanoes and craters to explore ♪

- [gasps] Look!

There goes a missing engine!

- It's headed for that big mountain!

- Whoa.

That's the Olympus Mons,

the tallest mountain in the solar system.

[dramatic music]

- And the engine landed on the tippy top!

♪ ♪

- Uh-oh, to get there,

we'll have to get past giant rolling rocks!

- Hey, I've got an idea.

Let's use one of our rover tools

to break apart those rocks.

We can use our drill!

♪ ♪

- Yeah!

Rovers have drills that can cut into the rocks

they find on Mars. - Let's go for it!

[together] Rover power!

♪ ♪

- Look out, Blaze!

Four giant rocks are headed this way!

- Help me use my drill to get past 'em!

Count to four with me!

Two...

Three...

Four!

[energetic rock music]

- Whoo! Nice going, Blaze!

♪ ♪

- Get ready. Here come five more rocks!

Count to five with me.

Five!

- All right! - Whoo-hoo!

We're almost at the top of the Olympus Mons!

- But to get there,

we'll have to drill through the most rocks yet.

- [gasps] Seven giant rocks!

- Count to seven with me!

Three...

Five...

Six...

Seven!

Whoo-hoo!

- All right! We reached the engine!

- Now come on, let's bring it back to Commander Megan's ship.

- Activating rover robotic arm!

Whoo-hoo!

[scanner chirping]

- [humming melody]

[camera shutter clicking] [giggles]

I am getting some great pictures of these rocks!

- [laughs]

I know something way cooler than rocks!

You should take a picture of me...

[quirky music]

Wearing a hat!

- You wearing a hat on Mars?

I like it!

- Ooh, how about me wearing a hat...

and sunglasses!

- Oh, that's even better!

- Wait, wait, wait, what about a hat, sunglasses,

and...

Roller skates!

- [laughs] Wow.

This is gonna be some picture!

Say Mars!

- Ma... ah... ah!

[camera shutter clicks]

- [melodic horn blares]

- Look!

It's Blaze,

and he's got the first engine.

- Hooray! - You did it!

- Here you go, Commander Megan.

- Great job, astronauts.

Now, let's get that engine back on our ship.

[triumphant music]

[all cheering]

- Our ship has one of its engines back!

- Remember, to make the ship fly,

we need all three engines.

How many more do we need to find?

Two! Yeah!

- Keep up the good work, astronauts.

- Thanks, Commander Megan! - We won't let you down!

- Come on, AJ, let's go find that next engine.

[together] Rover power!

[energetic rock music]

- Check it out, it's a giant dust storm!

- Lug nuts, on Mars, dust storms can get so big,

they cover the whole planet. [engine whooshes]

- Uh-oh, one of our rocket ship engines is headed right for it.

- Hang on, AJ, we're going in after it.

♪ ♪

- Whoa, we're inside the dust storm.

- Oh!

- How are we gonna see the engine in all this dust?

- I know, let's use one of our rover tools

to help find it. Activating weather station!

♪ ♪

- The weather station has sensors

that can detect the weather

and how much dust is in the air.

[sensor beeping]

- According to our weather station,

the engine flew into the smallest cloud.

Which cloud is the smallest?

That one!

♪ ♪

- Yeah, and there's the engine!

- Follow that engine!

♪ ♪

[sensor beeping]

- Blaze, your weather station, it's beeping again!

- It's telling us that the engine flew

into the widest dust cloud.

- Which cloud is the widest?

That one, right!

♪ ♪

And there goes the engine!

- Come on, we've almost caught it.

♪ ♪

[sensor beeping]

- The engine must be in one of these last clouds!

[sensor beeping]

- My weather station says that it's in the highest dust cloud.

Which cloud is the highest?

That one!

♪ ♪

- You're not getting away this time, engine!

♪ ♪

Got it!

- Now let's hurry and get this engine back to the ship.

[together] Rover power!

[tires squealing]

[dramatic orchestral music]

[quirky music]

- Ooh, there's a good picture of Mars.

[camera shutter clicking] And so is that.

Ooh, and that! - Oh, Pickle!

♪ ♪

How about a picture of something

no one's ever seen on Mars?

Me with a mustache!

- Ooh, the first mustache on Mars!

- No, wait, how about a mustache and...

rainbow hair! - Yes!

- Ooh, I've got it, a mustache, rainbow hair,

and juggling pizzas!

♪ ♪

- [laughs] Wow, such an important picture.

Now smile and say Mars!

- Mars!

[grunts]

- [melodic horn blares]

- Look, Blaze and AJ are back.

- Ah, and they found another lost engine!

- Whoo-hoo!

- Thanks, astronauts.

Now come on, let's get this engine back on the ship.

[triumphant music]

[all cheering]

- Now we only have one engine left to find.

- That's right, just one more, and our ship will be fixed.

- We'll find that engine, Commander Megan.

- Yeah, you can count on us!

[together] Rover power!

[energetic rock music]

- Listen, that sounds like the last engine.

- Hmm, I wonder where it could be.

Help us look for it.

When you see the last engine, say "engine."

Engine!

- And it's headed for the Valles Marineris,

the biggest canyons in the solar system!

- AJ, give me some speed!

[together] To the Valles Marineris!

[asteroids whooshing and crashing]

- Blaze, look out, asteroids!

♪ ♪

- [grunts]

Whoa!

[tires screeching]

Gaskets, that asteroid was so big,

it made a giant crater!

- The engine!

It's getting away!

- To get over this crater, we've got to do

the biggest jump we've ever done,

a gravity super jump!

- Yeah, check it out.

Gravity is a force that pulls things together.

On Earth, there's a lot of gravity.

When you jump, gravity pulls you

right back down to the ground.

But on Mars, there's a lot less gravity,

so you can jump really high before coming back down.

- Help me do a Mars gravity jump.

Say "Mars gravity jump."

[together] Mars gravity jump!

[dramatic music]

- Whoo-hoo! - Yeah!

We made it!

[energetic rock music]

[asteroid whooshes and crashes]

Whoa, that's an even bigger crater than last time.

- Then we're gonna need an even bigger jump

to get over it.

Say it louder this time.

Say "Mars gravity jump."

- Look, we've almost caught up with the last engine.

- Yeah, so long as we get past...

[asteroid whooshes and crashes]

- The biggest crater yet!

Say it really loud this time.

Shout "Mars gravity jump!"

- Whoo-hoo! - We got it!

♪ ♪

[together] Rover power!

[instrument chirping]

- Hm, interesting.

- [melodic horn blares]

- Hey, they're back!

- They're back?

- Ha, they're back!

- Whoo-hoo! - Yeah!

- All right!

Now let's fix this ship once and for all!

[triumphant music]

[all cheering]

- We did it, astronauts!

We fixed our ship.

- Now we can fly back to planet Earth.

- Aww, but there's still so many pictures

I want to take here on Mars,

like pictures of dry lakebeds and impact basins

and that dust storm!

- Dust storm?

[storm rumbling]

[screams]

- Quick, everyone, back to the ship.

[dramatic rock music]

- To get away from that dust storm,

we'd better blast off super-fast.

- Prepare for rocket ship blazing speed.

[energetic rock music]

[rocket whooshing]

- To give our rocket blazing speed,

say, "Let's blaze!"

[together] Let's blaze!

[rocket humming]

[all cheering]

- Great work, astronauts!

We completed our mission.

- And for a job well done,

you've all earned Mars mission patches.

[triumphant music]

- Wow. - Cool.

- Our very own patches!

- Thanks, Commander Megan.

Now we'll always have something

to remind us of our mission to Mars.

- Way to go, crew!
