On day one, the final eight competitors

faced massive twists...

JORDAN: This karma vote will play into

our score at the end of the final.

So I have no choice.

TJ: The finalists endured harsh elements

and were pushed to their physical and mental limits.

KYLAND: This hurts so bad.

Things have shifted from

"Can I win this final?"

to "Can I finish this final?"

MICHELE: I was on swim team in high school.

But I would be lying to you if I said I was

not scared as hell in this final.

I am falling behind.

But there's still more to be done

and I will be able to win.

This is the overnight checkpoint.

BANANAS: Tonight we're counting coins.

But oh, no, that's not enough.

Every half hour you're gonna have to go topside

and sing the most annoying song.

JENNY: No, you can't go to sleep.

Don't shut down because you're exhausted.

Recovery is so important in the final

'cause we're gonna have to do all this (bleep) again tomorrow.

so that I can just go to bed.

TJ: These final eight Challengers

will have to push themselves harder than ever.

Because karma is coming, and what they don't know

is that the karma vote will be worth

two full checkpoints.

Who will overcome the physical and mental exhaustion

to be crowned Challenge champion?

JENNY: I actually want to die.

'Cause sometimes they can slide in with the big ones.

JORDAN: For the overnight checkpoint,

we are counting

thousands upon thousands of coins,

all different shapes and sizes.

We have no idea how long this could take.

This is sleep deprivation.

30-minute slots to do it.

And then you have to remember your count

as you're singing for 30 minutes.

She's like, I don't really care about counting.

I'm just gonna throw them all in and hope for the best.

I'm pretty envious of her.

I know that she's sleeping on a steel floor

on the top of the SS Sinister.

And I'm still here, counting my life away.

KYLAND: So when we finish, we don't have to sing anymore, right?

BANANAS: Mm-hmm.

MICHELE: I am right on the cusp of being done.

and now I have to go and do another round...

JENNY: I'm lying on this cold metal floor,

out on the deck.

This is the stuff of, like, insane asylums.

And all I can think about

is what choices did I make in my life

that deserved me this position right now?

Where did I go wrong?

I don't know what is happening in my life right now,

but I am losing the plot.

BANANAS: That feels like 30 minutes.

TORI: I don't understand how I'm counting so slow.

TORI: Everybody starts to finish,

and I have literally half my bag left.

KYLAND: All right, done.

TORI: At this point in time, I could either, like,

really dog it out and stay here

and really make sure I count them all,

or I could just, like, breeze through this

and pray to God that I have an accurate number

and that I've been doing good thus far.

RACHEL: Okay, done.

TORI: But I'm in last place, so

I have to come in first.

This checkpoint-- like, if I don't,

then I do not have a chance to win this.

TORI: Okay, let's go sing a song.

I've had a rough 24 hours.

At the beginning of this season,

I came in with the vacation alliance,

people that I love to play this game with

that are truly a comfort for me.

And little by little, they started to leave the game

and, inevitably, I had to play this game fighting for myself.

You don't know anything about me!

And not only that, I made an enemy out of Bananas.

I've been burned so many times

by so many people close to me in this game.

But I was able to pull out wins at very important times.

-TJ: Good job. -(Jordan whoops)

-Yeah, you did! -TJ: Well done, Tori.

TORI: I really did come into this and I just wanted to see

where did I fall amongst the best?

Who am I in this group?

What am I going to learn about myself?

And I am learning a lot about myself.

(buzzer rings)

So, I do have faith that I can walk out of here with $400,000.

For some reason, I had a really hard time going from 79 to 80.

But, guys, it's nearly over.

This is day two of the final.

-W-We finish today. -RACHEL: Yeah.

BANANAS: Once this is all said and done,

we will all be happy we did this, dude.

We are absolutely in the thick

of a very long, very brutal Challenge final.

JORDAN: The only thing I'm gonna be happy about

that I don't have with very many people in this world.

This is a good start to my day.

My first fourth-place finish, Derek comes in first.

This basically completely erases the lead that I had over him.

So, going into day two, I have to clock in

and, uh, yeah, get ready for it,

because, uh, this one's gonna be...

-Honestly, I could. -TJ: Listen, no one's going home.

You can and will get through this.

You went through hell yesterday,

but it's not for nothing, because today is the day

that one man and one woman

will become Challenge champions.

So, this is it.

How you treated people in this game

could come back to bite you.

So if you think you have bad karma coming your way,

then I'd pick it up a little bit.

But if you have good karma coming your way,

you might have a nice little surprise at the end.

BANANAS: This could all come down to one point,

and that could be the difference between winning and losing.

JORDAN: I've been absolutely killing it in this final,

but I'm terrified about that karma vote.

They hate ya 'cause they ain't ya, okay?

I think it's gonna be tough for me with that karma vote,

so I need to focus on what is in my control

and I can worry about the karma vote later.

DEREK: I have a feeling that these karma points

are going to play in my advantage, like,

I have good karma, like...

People like me. So that karma's gonna come my way.

So, as long as I'm not losing, I think I can get this win.

Everyone ready?

JORDAN: Yep!

-TJ: Go. -(air horn blows)

TJ: All right, ready?

TORI: Checkpoint number five is called Submerging Terror.

Our goal is to swim to the checkpoint first

and then we'll understand the rules of the game.

So, basically, we don't really know anything

until we swim there, and the goal is to get there

as quick as possible.

MICHELE: I need to focus on

doing as well as I possibly can

and start winning some of these checkpoints today.

Jenny had a bit of a mental breakdown last night,

and she placed it in third in the coin counting,

probably as a reflection of that.

So, I need to make sure

that weakness that she's shown

is an opportunity for me

to pull into that number one slot.

JORDAN: The start of day two is ridiculously tough on me

because I am depleted.

I've been beasting these swims,

but it takes a lot of energy.

(gasps)

And we have to jump back in and do it again

and again and again.

"Submerging Terror.

"Swim through the cave to find a hidden beach.

"Collect one paddle and swim back to the raft.

"Underneath the raft are cages with the keys inside.

"Retrieve a key, unlock a boat

"and return to Sinister.

Whew.

(Jenny grunts)

TORI: "Underneath the raft are cages with keys inside."

BANANAS: Jordan, I think, is part dolphin

because I feel like I'm putting in a good stroke

and Jordan's basically already on land.

But I'm hoping that what I'm able to do

is to make up some of the ground

on the boat race back to Sinister.

However, I'm really gonna have to step it up

because Derek is literally right next to me.

(grunts)

KYLAND: "Swim through the cave.

Find a hidden beach."

As a fan of The Challenge,

competing in the final against all people

who have been there before,

most of whom are actually Challenge champions already,

I'm realizing that this is just way harder than it looks.

There's no training that compensates for experience.

I know this is going to be another rough day.

(panting)

RACHEL: Can we talk about how much better

the women are than the men in the final?

All these women are extremely strong,

and I'm looking around, like,

why do I have to compete against the girls?

We're crushing it.

This is a pattern we see

through the entire season,

that the women are basically like

fitness models and, like, badasses.

(panting)

JORDAN: Make it back to the raft.

Fortunately, I've got a little bit of a lead,

so I'm gonna chill

and try and catch my breath as much as I can

before I start trying to hold it

and go underwater and get this key.

However, when you get tired, you make little mistakes,

and everyone else gets back.

So now, it's anyone's game.

(grunts)

TORI: Shocking surprise, I'm the last female swimmer.

But I look over, Rachel, Jenny and Michele

are all here, and I'm like, this is my time.

Because I know that if I want to be

in the running for this at all,

I am going to have to give it everything I have.

This cage is so deep under the water.

I have never done something so hard in my life.

Like, this is a beast.

(Derek grunts)

I got to say, this is growth.

Because Derek, Bananas

and Jordan are still here

and I can row a boat pretty well.

So, right now, I'm thinking that I might have a chance

at not coming in last.

So I have to kick it into high gear.

JENNY: Tori is (bleep) killing it.

She gets a key out, and I'm like, (bleep).

She was really good on the paddleboard in the mini final,

so, like, the amount of work I know

I'm gonna have to do now has just (bleep) quadrupled.

Oh, my God, I am off and I am in first place,

and all I have to do

is just paddle all the way back to the Sinister.

No big deal.

Even though I was feeling like

absolute dog (bleep) this morning,

I am feeling again a sense of optimism.

Not to mention, we have these karma points to factor in,

which does make me feel a little hopeful because

I know that all of my alliance members have been eliminated,

and I know that they would have my back in that.

(groans) (grunts) Okay.

JORDAN: This paddle sucks.

I can't row like them.

They can row both sides nice and easy.

This is awesome. It's hard for me

to row on my left side.

I'm trying to just put my wrist on this paddle and row.

So, I'm just waiting to see Bananas or Derek

come flying up on their stupid boat.

RACHEL: Michelle is freaking out, which is great for me

because this cage is so far down in the water

that I don't know if I can do this.

The goal here was to come in first place,

but my goal has shifted.

to this boat

I'm hoping that this is not the way

that day two is gonna continue.

I'm trying to not let it get in my head, but,

you know, mistakes happen,

and this was a big fat mistake.

so that way he wins. As long as I can keep this pace,

pull through and, like, dominate the rest of this day,

I think I can get this win.

Sounds like every season of my, of my challenge, TJ.

On an island.

Me and my thoughts.

Here I am,

alone on an island,

all by myself.

Math has just never been

my strong suit, especially against a guy like this.

This ain't a race anymore, so...

I'm gonna conserve as much energy as I can

and, uh, really contemplate my next move.

Ah.

If I have any shot to place, I'm going to have

to get a first place here at some point

in this godforsaken final.

I've never had a challenge season

like this ever.

Early on in the game,

I was just put

in a very good situation being on Era Two.

Even though I think

we had the most dysfunctional,

chaotic bunch, somehow,

when we showed up to challenges,

we just put it all together and because of that,

I was able to really fly under the radar

for a lot longer than I'm used to be able to doing.

But eventually, I had to hunker down

and take grenades in the trenches.

But I've never been able to do it

with, uh, angels on my shoulder.

The fact that I am here

with such strong female support,

that means the world to me.

I'm really gonna have to step it up.

Come on!

JENNY: Jesus Christ.

(bleep) hell.

Me and Jordan again in the water.

Like, this is the third time now that him and I

are just swimming together, going back to the boat.

First place is about to be won

and I'm so (bleep) glad that I've done it.

I never thought

that I'd look forward to seeing Sinister.

Good. Yeah.

I'm the fourth-place girl,

but I know that I have some time to make up

during this swim, because I just came in fourth place

on the first checkpoint of this day,

and I surely will not find myself

in fourth place again

or else I'm basically out of this final.

So I kick it into high gear.

-JORDAN: Good job, girls! -JENNY: Let's go, girls!

Michele lost pretty much every math question

just for her to beat us on the swim?

It makes me literally want to go home

and take swimming lessons.

JENNY: Second place.

JORDAN: Good job.

Good job, Rach.

Oh, my God, nice work, Michele.

(bleep)

RACHEL: I just realized that Michele

just beat me back to the boat.

Again.

You know, there's something about heart

in this game that

it's something you either have or you don't.

And Michele has the heart, but...

I just know I'm still in it.

I never count myself out.

There is no quit,

and I don't care how many things are stacked against me,

I still believe I am in this final.

DEREK: Not only am I

channeling my sister and just having her with me,

I'm also just, like, channeling my friends

and my family that are always

just telling me, like, "Don't (bleep) up.

Don't be the first one out." Like, you know,

I'm not getting sent home first anymore, like, I'm actually

winning things, like, I'm making moves,

like, "Ha, bitch, told you so."

Like, "I told you I could do this."

Like, "I'm here."

MICHELE: Good job, Derek.

Why couldn't you have us run here, TJ?

Run and then do the math.

TORI: Not Kyland.

Not coming in fourth.

Like, I am really happy for Kyland.

I mean, Bananas has to stay on the island

until Kyland gets back to the boat.

That could take all night.

(slurping, swallowing)

But at least Kyland didn't come in fourth place again.

TJ: Get it, Bananas.

BANANAS: I'm gonna let Sinister wait for me.

Plus, I'll let everybody else get a little bit of a rest.

TJ: Congratulations on checkpoint six

of day two of the final.

First place, Jordan and Jenny.

Derek and Michele, second place.

DEREK: The ladies are back on,

not top, but, like, second to top.

We're there still. The ladies are there.

So this is what Michele needed,

and I definitely needed this, too, because

this means Bananas is getting a fourth,

which is definitely what I needed.

Kyland and Rachel, third.

TJ: All jokes aside,

we are headed

to our final checkpoint.

-Thank God. -Whoo! -I know.

Ugh. My God.

It's coming to a close.

RACHEL: I'm tough and I'm strong,

and I'm not gonna complain.

But when TJ lets us know

that this is the final checkpoint,

I almost break down in tears because I don't know

how much more we all had left in us.

So, at this point, on the guy side,

it pretty much goes

Jordan first, and then Bananas and Derek

giving him a run for his money.

However, on the women's side,

it's anyone's game, so I know

that this is my checkpoint to win.

Welcome to the last checkpoint of the final challenge.

(cheering)

(laughs) This is it.

You've been going for 37 hours straight.

Dig as deep as you have to to get this done.

JENNY: I need Michele to stop getting second

because she's so close to me in points.

I know it's really tight for me and Michele.

I have to bring it on this final because I know

I'm not gonna have many karma points.

That pressure is just, like, weighing on my mind.

If she could just get fourth

on the next one, that'd be great.

TJ: There have been 94

unique champions here on The Challenge,

and I'm standing right now in front of five of them.

It's anybody's game.

Now, welcome to your final checkpoint,

Champion's Cove.

When I say, "Go," jump off the Sinister,

swim to the buoy,

read the directions and get it done.

TJ: Make it happen.

JENNY: Guys, this is it, and then we'll be home free.

-RACHEL: This is it, guys. -DEREK: The last one!

JORDAN: This is what we've been waiting for.

All right, everyone ready?

-Go! -(air horn blows)

MICHELE: At this point, doing that swim,

I've just found a rhythm.

I feel like this is a representation

of my entire season.

Sometimes you're out of breath and exhausted

and, you know, the current's against you,

but you just keep at it.

I see the end now.

I'm just giving it

everything that I have, hoping that I can secure

one final first place token.

♪♪ ♪♪

JORDAN: I've won five

of six checkpoints,

but I can't let up.

Operation Avoid the Karma Vote is still out there.

And we have no idea how much weight

there is to the karma vote.

(whirring)

BANANAS: We don't have to swim.

This is all gonna

be done by this awesome machine.

This really levels the playing field.

You're just zipping through the water,

and all I can think about is,

"Oh, this is what it must feel like

to swim like Jordan."

This could potentially give myself a fighting chance

in this godforsaken final.

(whirring)

JENNY: There's definitely a technique

to these underwater scooters

that I'm not privy to.

Rachel and Michele, the girls fly past me, moving so fast.

Is there, like, a second setting?

Do I need to change the gear?

At this point, I just wish

I could ditch it and swim,

but we have to use the sea scooter.

(whirring)

(burbling)

JENNY: Michele's out really quickly.

And, like, how has she found this token

so fast? Like, I can't see where these tokens are.

RACHEL: I'm moving quick

on this underwater scooter because I'm light.

And I am just seconds behind Michele.

TORI: I see this skull with all of these tokens on it.

I pick one up, but I do see

Jenny struggling, and I'm like, if I can just pass

Jenny one time,

maybe I can come in third place so that the karma vote

would pull me out of this position.

(whirring)

MICHELE: We started this game with 40 people,

40 legends of this game,

40 Challenge beasts.

It was not an easy journey for any of us to get here.

We had to get through the eras.

Then it was getting through the individual portion.

And now that I'm in the final, I'm among

the best of the best.

And little old me, I just swam my heart out and gave it my all.

I feel really, really proud. I'm so proud.

And my family's gonna be like, "What?!" (laughs)

RACHEL: Even though I come in after Michele, it doesn't matter

because I beat every single man,

and that's all I need.

This is a lot of money on the line,

and Michele is so close

on points to me at this point.

If I get fourth place and I lose out on 400,000,

I am going to die.

TJ: Tori's pulling out ahead a little bit.

we have no idea what the karma vote holds.

As miserable as the last 40 hours have been,

how (bleep) amazing does this feel, huh?

TJ: Everyone should be very proud of themselves.

You just finished one of the hardest finals

in the history of The Challenge.

Now, how the points worked out was this.

Every checkpoint was one through four.

Now, we did all those points tallied up

and the karma vote.

I told you all season long how you treat people matters.

Well, this is where it comes into play.

To feel like I was so close

But, you know, I'm still proud

because I did something that I didn't know I can do.

And that is show up and perform my heart out.

to actually place in a final.

I can take that away with me.

And realize that I overcame a lot of obstacles.

And I can be proud of that.

I'm leaving with my head held high and going home to Devin.
