May I be like the stars

and you like the moon.

As long as the world remains,

so shall we.

I only wish to stay with the one I love,

watching every sunrise and sunset.

I want to be with you forever.

Eternals and demons walk different paths.

You and she are ultimately different.

Have you ever

truly cared for me?

No.

Never.

In this life and the next, through all lifetimes…

May we live and die together,

and share life and death as one.

[Moonlight Mystique]

[Episode 11]

Why?

Why did Master do this to me?

Why?

Why?

No.

No.

Ling Long is dead.

The legend is fake.

Ling Long didn't slaughter the Kunlun Sect.

The Fox Clan didn't do it either.

It was Rong Xian!

Rong Xian is not in the valley today.

Did you see him?

The Sect Leader of Kunlun is seriously ill.

He rushed back to Kunlun.

He went back to Kunlun?

Ling Long said something strange to me just now.

She was acting a little strange today.

I asked her what happened.

She said she was tired

and wanted to rest.

Ling Long.

Where did she go?

[To Wu]

Wu.

Forgive me for leaving without saying goodbye.

Every saintess of the Fox Clan

has the jade of the tribe.

When the jade cracks,

it means the clan is in trouble.

As the Saintess of the Fox Clan,

it's my duty to protect the Fox Clan.

But you're different.

You left the Fox Clan with me for three years

and are finally living a free and stable life.

I don't want you to be in danger.

I just hope you can be a carefree little girl

and live a happy life

with the person you love.

Rong Xian and Ling Long left one after the other.

I'm afraid that something will happen to the two tries today.

She really mistook me for Wu.

Fan Yue.

Is there really nothing we can change?

Is Ling Long pregnant?

Let's go to the Fox Clan.

[Kunlun]

Rong Xian.

The Sect Leader exhausted his spiritual power and died

to pass on his skills to you.

How dare you

betray your master

and the Kunlun Sect?

Betray my master and the sect?

The Kunlun Sect is so cruel and cold-blooded.

So what if I destroy it?

Rong Xian!

Stop!

Kunlun is wrong.

But only the Kunlun Sect Leader and those

four bastards deserve to die.

These disciples didn't hurt you.

Not everyone deserves to die!

Let me ask you then.

What did Ling Long and the child do wrong?

Mr. Rong Xian.

If you continue to kill,

there's no turning back.

Turn back?

I'm long past the point of return.

The Fox Clan was destroyed by me.

I've already made a big mistake.

I want this Kunlun Sect which deceived the world

to be buried with Ling Long and the child!

When I've killed those who deserve it,

I will accompany them to hell.

This child...

Could it be...

Ling Long!

Ling Long!

Ling Long!

Ling Long!

We're still too late.

Who slaughtered the Fox Clan?

Wu.

Thank goodness

you're alive.

It's Rong Xian.

Rong Xian slaughtered the Fox Clan.

All of this

is the Kunlun Sect's

fault.

Why?

Isn't Rong Xian an Eternal?

Wasn't Kunlun supposed to protect the people?

He killed the Fox Clan.

Why did he still have so much resentment

to create such a realm of resentment?

A realm of resentment?

Yes.

This is a realm of resentment.

Since everything is fake,

can life and death be reversed?

If we save Ling Long and the baby,

will there be a chance for change?

Ling Long is dead.

I can’t save her.

You only said you couldn’t save Ling Long.

So the baby can be saved?

This child has gathered almost

all of Ling Long's spiritual power.

He can be saved.

But this is just a realm of illusion.

They were already killed by Rong Xian.

Even if we go against fate

and save him,

what good will that do?

No.

If everything happened

as Rong Xian wished,

why did he still develop

such a strong resentment

and such a vivid realm of resentment?

You once asked me

what kind of person Rong Xian was.

I can see that

his love for Ling Long

was real.

A thousand years later,

what we heard was not the truth.

So what we see now

is not necessarily true.

If the Fox Clan was destroyed before Kunlun,

then who was the one

who destroyed Kunlun?

Fan Yue.

Save this child,

and everything may turn around.

Do you really want to save this child?

Rong Xian.

Ling Long loved you so much.

So why did you

slaughter the Fox Clan first

and then destroy the Kunlun Sect?

Shut up.

Shut up!

The Sect Leader of Kunlun altered his memories.

As a result, he hated the Fox Clan and the Saintess.

That’s why he slaughtered the Fox Clan.

When Saintess Ling Long died,

she used her blood

to recover his memories.

I see.

Rong Xian.

Look.

This is the child of you and Ling Long.

♫I remember that moonlit night♫

He's not.

He's not!

♫The flowers that bloomed once in a lifetime♫

He's dead!

♫I remember that word of concern♫

It was me.

I killed my own wife and child!

♫But unfortunately, I didn't get to answer♫

He has gone mad.

♫I remember that drop of tear♫

It's useless to say anything.

♫It dried in the wind♫

Trust me.

♫The one in the autumn wind♫

♫How many times have I seen you in my dreams?♫

♫That year, that year♫

No.

The child is still here.

Look.

♫The leaves fell unnoticed after the flowers bloomed♫

He can cry.

He can smile.

♫I'm afraid the autumn wind will stir up memories♫

He's warm.

He's breathing.

He's even a little chubby.

♫They unfold, one page after another♫

He's soft like a little dumpling.

♫That year, that year♫

You haven't seen

or hugged him yet.

♫The flowers flew under the moon, filling the sky♫

Ling Long knew from the beginning

♫Falling to the mud, burying the memories♫

that this child was underdeveloped

and may not live.

♫Layer after layer♫

But she was willing to sacrifice everything to protect him.

♫Another year passed♫

Because she loved this child

and she loved you.

♫That year, that year♫

Long.

I know the Fox Clan is your home.

♫The leaves fell unnoticed after the flowers bloomed♫

One day,

when the Eternals and demons stop fighting,

when they can accept our relationship,

♫I'm afraid the autumn wind will stir up memories♫

I will bring you back to the Fox Clan with dignity.

♫They unfold, one page after another♫

There shouldn't be only hatred

between the demons and Eternals.

♫That year, that year♫

It's not wrong for us to love and protect each other.

Whether Kunlun and Fox Clan accept it or not,

♫The flowers flew under the moon, filling the sky♫

You, me,

♫Falling to the mud, burying the memories♫

and our future child

are dignified.

♫Layer after layer♫

The world is too big.

I'm tired of the fight between the two clans.

♫Another year passed♫

What I want

is a warm home.

You think you were not determined enough

for falling into Kunlun's trap.

You think you are the culprit.

So what you hate the most

is yourself,

right?

Why?

Why am I the Saint son of Kunlun?

Why must Eternals and demons fight each other to the bitter end?

Why must such a cruel thing

happen to me and Ling Long?

There are many things in this world that cannot be explained.

I also experienced injustice.

I once asked Heaven

♫What kind of flower would never bear fruit?♫

why I was saved by a deity

while my older sister went missing.

♫What kind of fruit never sees a flower?♫

Why did my father have to die?

But no one can give me an answer.

♫Withstanding the stillness, you are a broken piece of me♫

Maybe most people in the world

are suffering.

We all have our own sufferings.

But we have to find a way for ourselves.

♫I am the fruit to your flowers♫

If my path is to go on,

your path

is to let go.

♫Across thousands of miles♫

♫The pain of parting lingers♫

♫ I light a lamp with no wick to carry me through the rest of my days♫

♫Flowers in the wind, sand in the water♫

You look like your mother.

Not like me.

It's good.

♫What kind of tree never takes root?♫

Child.

♫What kind of roots never turn into trees♫

There's too much resentment here.

Let's go to your mother.

Okay?

♫ To break the roots of love, to look at the past and seal one's heart ♫

♫I'm your wanderer♫

♫The flowers flew away♫

♫My tears are streaming down like rain♫

[Wuji Palace]

♫May I ask, what do the gods see in the world?♫

♫Sadness from infatuation, anger, and parting♫

♫My love brought tears♫

♫Greed for gathering, for holding, and for completeness♫

♫With a heart full of compassion for the people, I let go of my obsessions♫

♫I cultivated myself to be free of desires, offering myself as a sacrifice to the moon♫

[Wuji Palace]

His resentment is dissolving.

♫The daylight burns through, and the stars shine bright♫

We can get out soon!

♫Through the Buddhist dust, I see the moon in the sky♫

♫I am but a mortal, destined to fade♫

♫But I went through a thousand calamities for a promise♫

♫I severed emotions, desires, and the fate between you and me♫

♫To protect the world for eternity♫

Cang Shan.

Cang Shan!

I can finally move.

Shuo!

-Master! -Master!

What happened?

Shuo.

Are you okay?

What happened?

I'm fine.

We entered Rong Xian's realm of resentment.

In the realm of resentment,

we changed some things.

For the past 1,000 years,

Rong Xian had a painful life.

He created this realm of resentment

and repeated the tragedy again and again.

He did it to punish himself.

But he must have silently hoped

that someone could come and save him.

Fan Yue.

Thank you

for saving the child

and Rong Xian.

He saved the child himself.

He couldn't forgive himself.

That's why he'd been obsessed for 1000 years.

But even when the tragedies were set in stone

and the past couldn't be changed,

he still hoped that

someone could change the child's fate

in the realm of resentment.

That's why it was possible to save him.

He chose us.

Rong Xian hated himself for a thousand years.

Now he can finally let it go.

Hey.

They've been

mumbling for a while.

What are they talking about?

If you want to know,

ask them yourself.

It's the Heart Flame.

It's really the Heart Flame.

There it is.

The Heart Flame has appeared.

This is the Heart Flame.

Is it really the Heart Flame?

How could it be?

Mu Jiu.

Take it.

-Senior. -Senior.

This was Mr. Rong Xian's choice.

He also hoped that

we could let go of the two clans' hatred.

Otherwise,

we wouldn't have switched identities

in the realm of resentment.

This Heart Flame belongs to the Fox Clan now.

Kunlun has no objections.

No.

Everyone contributed to exploring the Outlanders' Tomb.

Why does he get to keep it?

That's right.

Exactly!

Why does he get to keep it?

Exactly.

A man who has been dead for a thousand years

has no right

to decide the ownership of the Heart Flame for the living.

That's right!

Enough.

I didn't want it at first.

But now that you are

all fighting for it,

I won't part with it anymore.

Let me tell you.

Whoever dares to fight me for it

will be the enemy of Jingyou Mountain.

His aunt is Chang Mei.

Chang Mei is one of the Three Kings of the Demon Race.

She's quite formidable

and not easy to deal with.

You guys might be scared of Chang Mei,

but the Yunxiao Sect is not.

Kid.

Give me the second Heart Flame.

As you can see,

you can’t keep the Heart Flame for even half a day.

Why don’t you give it to me?

Why should I give it to you?

But this lady

saved me from chaos just now.

If you want it,

I can think about it.

Her?

No.

When you fought Rong Xian just now,

you obviously used spiritual power.

You are not a demon.

-Yes. -You're an Outlander.

-An Outlander? -What do you mean?

Yes.

My identity

has nothing to do with you.

Bright Moon Palace cheated.

How could it have nothing to do with us?

That's right.

That's right.

How can you cheat?

Master Fan.

You brought a human to the tournament.

We've put up with it.

Right?

Now you colluded with an Outlander to cheat.

How can we accept that?

Right?

-Yeah. -Yeah.

Tian Huo left Outlanders' City seven years ago.

She's no longer informed about matters of Outlanders' City.

She's now taking the demonic path

and practicing demonic magic.

She joined the tournament as a demon.

What's wrong with that?

She can change her skillset,

but can she change her bloodline?

She is an Outlander

in her bones.

-Yeah. -Yeah.

Ugly.

And you...

Purple Potato Spirit.

You failed to obtain the Heart Flame,

and now you're picking on her origins.

To think you were referring to yourselves

as elites among demons and Eternals.

I think you're all just

shameless!

-You want to die? -You want to die?

What did you say?

Stop! Come here!

-Come here. -Stop!

-Stop! -Go after him!

-Stop! -Stop!

He has the Heart Flame.

Aren't you going to chase him?

Don't let him escape.

Stop!

-Stop! -Stop!

Stop!

Stop!

Stop!

Stop!

Stop!

Catch him!

Stop!

Bunch of idiots.

You'll never catch me.

The famous Lady Tian Huo of the Demon Race

is actually an Outlander.

Interesting.

Master.

Why don’t we take the Heart Flame

from Mu Jiu?

Master!

-Master! -Master!

I’m fine.

I’m just a little injured.

That wasn't the best time to take the Heart Flame.

The third Heart Flame hasn't been found.

If we have both Heart Flames in our hands,

we will only become the next target.

Master.

What happened in the realm of resentment?

How did you get hurt so badly?

I'm fine.

I just expended some mana

changing fate in the realm of resentment.

Just some mana?

Even in the realm of resentment,

the price of changing fate

is a severe injury at best and death at worst.

You're speaking too lightly of it.

Master.

You have the Seven Stars Soul Burning Seal on you.

Why don’t you cherish yourself more?

Did you do all that

to save Bai Shuo?

I just wanted to escape the realm of resentment.

How could it have been to save Bai Shuo?

Then, does Bai Shuo know that

to destroy Rong Xian's realm of resentment,

you greatly damaged your spiritual power?

She doesn't know yet.

Don't mention it to her either.

-Yes. -Yes.

[Please send help, Grand Master. From: Chong Zhao]

Senior.

You called?

We can't use magic to send letters within Outlanders' City.

Go outside the city

and send this letter

[To Sect Leader]

to our sect with your spiritual power.

Send a letter?

Why so sudden?

Within Outlanders' City,

be it that unknown monster,

Rong Xian's realm of resentment,

or that Tian Huo,

they are all too suspicious.

I'm afraid the Wutong Martial Arts Contest isn't just a simple contest.

Hurry back.

Don't let anyone find out.

[To Sect Leader]

[To Sect Leader]

[Please send help, Grand Master. From: Chong Zhao]

Your Majesty,

Chong Zhao did report to Lanling Sect.

Fortunately, I was prepared

and intercepted the letter.

Zhen Yu was right.

The Contemplation Stone

can indeed bring them into Rong Xian's realm of resentment.

A thousand years ago,

Rong Xian hated the Eternals and demons.

He brought Ling Long’s body

to Outlanders' City.

After burying his wife and child,

he committed suicide in front of the tomb

and left 1000 years of resentment.

No one managed to resolve it.

Fan Yue and Bai Shuo

thought they had resolved

Rong Xian's resentment.

But they don't know

that they're just paving the way for us.

Has Fu Ling's operation

started?

According to the plan,

it should start soon.

The Fenlan Banquet is in two days.

The moment the Eternals and demons enter the palace,

they will

never get to leave again.

The last banquet,

an arena of life and death.

I will give them the grandest funeral.

Master!

-Master! -Master!

How could this happen?

Changing fate

is not a trivial matter.

I'm afraid it has hurt your core.

Bai Shuo learned some medical skills from Old Turtle.

Go get her.

Okay.

Master.

I brought the medicine.

Quick, treat our master.

What happened to him?

When did he get hurt?

You don't even know when he got hurt?

He used up so much demonic power

to reverse that child's fate

in the realm of resentment for you.

But you don't even...

Cang Shan.

[Rejuvenation Pill]

What is this pill?

Rejuvenation Pill.

Second grade.

It can replenish the spiritual core.

If you don't believe me,

then just watch him die.

It really works.

This pill is not enough.

We still need some medicine.

Go find the medicine in the city.

Prescriptions?

Fan Yue.

Save this child,

and everything may turn around.

Saving that child would damage your demonic power.

Why didn't you tell me that

in the realm of resentment?

Fan Yue,

what kind of person are you?

Tian Huo!

Cang Shan!

What's wrong?

Is your master awake?

We didn't hear him summon us.

He's not in the room.

Master?

Where is he?

He's injured and weak.

He could have at least brought me along.

There is no sign of an outsider entering.

He left the room by himself.

Let's split up and search.

Let's go.

This way.

Excuse me.

Take a look.

Be careful!

I'm sorry, Miss.

I didn't spend the whole night saving you

to let you get hit by a log.

Why didn't you dodge?

Why is he staring at me?

Is he angry because

I scolded him too harshly?

Since you're fine,

I'll go back first.

Does it hurt?

You're not Fan Yue.

Who are you?

You really don't remember your name?

What about

Bright Moon Palace?

The Demon King of the Polar Region?

Tian Huo and Cang Shan?

You must remember the Contemplation Stone, right?

What do you remember?

You.

You...

You remember who I am?

You are...

Someone kind

who saved me.

What's wrong with him?

I only fed him the Rejuvenation Pill last night.

Nothing wrong with that.

Is it because he was injured in the realm of resentment

and the nature was different,

so it changed the effect of the pill?

No.

Tian Huo and Cang Shan can never know that

I turned Fan Yue into a fool.

Otherwise, they will kill me.

Listen.

Your name is Fan Yue,

Demon King of Polar Region and Master of Bright Moon Palace.

Tian Huo and Cang Shan are your

two generals.

Your reputation

is known to the world,

and feared by everyone.

Your home is in Bright Moon Palace.

You spent a lot of money to build it.

It's very grand and luxurious,

just like your clothes.

And we are in Outlanders' City right now,

We're here to activate the Contemplation Stone.

We've searched the whole Outlanders' City,

but Master is nowhere to be found.

Is he back already?

Guests,

your master

came back long ago.

I saw

the human girl

drag him upstairs.

My name is Bai Shuo.

I'm your...

Lover.

Did I say it too fast just now?

Let me repeat myself.

Bai Shuo.

I got it.

You promised to protect me.

Does it still count?

Yes.

A demon king's promise

cannot be broken.

I won't break it.

♫I'll fulfill this promise with my life♫

♫Once in a lifetime, forever♫

Why do you trust me so much?

♫Every starlight♫

When you saved me,

your eyes were full of concern.

♫Is a kiss from me to you♫

Although I can't remember who you are,

you must be the closest person to me.

That's why I trust you.

Shuo.

Master!

-Master! -Master!

You...

What...

Oh no.

I haven't finished telling him everything.

Fan Yue lost his memory.

He doesn't remember them at all.

They'll find out as soon as he talks.

Bai Shuo.

How dare you seduce our master

while we're away?

I was...

I took the initiative.

Is there a problem?

If not,

you can leave now.

Since you are back safe and sound,

we'll leave now.

Close the door.

They must be

Tian Huo and Cang Shan, right?

You don't want to see them?

Why do you think so?

Because when they came in,

you looked anxious.

It seems that

even though he lost his memory,

he didn't become a fool.

He's still smart.

Remember.

Outlanders' City is dangerous.

Don't let anyone find out you lost your memory,

including them.

How about this?

I'll teach you.

Just remember these words:

♫We're destined to be together forever from the first sight♫

Stand straight,

talk less,

and look sharp.

♫Goodbye, loneliness♫

♫The one who was slightly late♫

Use a commanding tone when you talk to others,

like this.

Like this.

♫You came towards me, closer and closer♫

One more time.

Like this.

Stand straight.

Put this hand here.

♫You enriched my life♫

Don't you think something is wrong with Master?

Yes.

Bai Shuo slept in the Master's room

for one night.

Do you think

she drugged our Master?

What did you say?

Who slept in Fan Yue's room all night?

I...

Yes.

Like this.

You have to look colder

and more arrogant.

Your gaze must be sharper.

Master of Bright Moon,

please behave yourself.

-How dare you be rude to our master! -Zhao.

It's not what you think.

Shuo is my woman.

I can do whatever I want.

It’s none of your business.

Let her go!

Zhao, you...

I only listen to Shuo.

If and when I'd let go

all depends on her words.

Fan Yue.

Let go.

That's too much.

Let go.

Come with me.

Master...

Get out.

Yes.

Close the door.

It's not what you think.

Fan Yue was injured saving someone in the illusion realm.

I took care of him all night.

Saving someone?

He is a Demon King.

He'd save someone?

He's not like what you think.

But he just...

Shuo.

When did you two become so close?

Fan Yue doesn't remember anything now.

Anyone can kill him.

I can't let anyone know that he lost his memory.

Close?

I just don't want to owe him anything.

In Outlanders' City, Eternals and demons are in conflict

while danger lurks everywhere.

Have you ever thought about withdrawing from the contest?

The contest is not the only chance.

If something happens to you in Outlanders' City,

you'll lose your life.

Be it returning favors or taking revenge,

I don't want to wait any longer.

Even if it's a cliff ahead,

I'll take the leap.

What if you'll be smashed to pieces?

Will you still jump?

Judging from the previous stories,

jumping off a cliff

will always be met with a miracle.

I might get a legendary weapon

or acquire a unique skill,

and then come back to slay my enemies

and get what I want.

Chong Zhao.

Wish me the same.

Wish me success

in getting what I want.

Must you stay?

I must stay.

I see.

So what can I do for you?

What did you do to Master?

I knew it.

It's easy to fool Cang Shan,

but not you.

Amnesia?

Lovers?

When Master regains his memory

and sees through your teasing,

he won't let you off easy.

Don't threaten me.

Your master only trusts me now.

If I'm unhappy,

I'll feed him one Rejuvenation Pill every day.

Let's see if he trusts me, his lover,

or you, his guardian.

Don't you dare.

Why not?

The Demon King as my lover?

What an honor.

If you still want to gather the Five Contemplations,

cure him as soon as possible.

You think I don't want to?

His current situation

is unexpected.

It takes time to cure him.

How long?

At least one or two days.

And at most?

I don't know yet.

You'd better not have

done this to him on purpose.

I have the same goal as Fan Yue.

Even now,

we are still allies.

I won't hurt him on purpose.

You only treat him as an ally?

What else?

I hope so.

Got hurt?

Tian Huo and Cang Shan

were secretly searching for herbs in the city.

They are all healing herbs.

I'm afraid only Fan Yue can make them

them so anxious.

Did he get hurt in Rong Xian's realm of resentment?

So,

Tian Huo is not with Fan Yue now.

Yes.

[Sihai Inn]

I just made it.

Are you really angry?

I was afraid Zhao would

find out you lost your memory.

-That's why... -You called him Zhao,

but you call me Fan Yue.

Because of this?

Mu.

I usually call you Mu,

because you have "Mu" in your written name.

But you are the Demon King of the Polar Region.

So I can't call you

by that name in front of others.

Mu.

♫The person standing far away♫

Take the medicine.

Mu.

♫Don't be afraid♫

♫The stars will guide you to me♫

♫Walk towards me♫

Good boy.

Have a good rest.

Sleep early.

Where are you going?

To my room.

♫My heart feels so...♫

There's a bed here.

Let's sleep together.

♫It's pounding as I wait for you♫

We can't sleep together.

Why not?

Look.

In this inn,

everyone gets a room.

♫The stars light up your eyes♫

Why is that so?

It's to give each other some space to be alone.

We're lovers.

Why should we be alone?

Love...

♫You are my distant call♫

Don't lovers

also need time to themselves?

♫You are my first and last♫

But distance makes the heart colder.

No.

Distance

makes the heart warmer.

♫My heart is trembling for you♫

But I want to...

No.

♫In this moment where we embrace each other♫

You don't want to.

♫Let's never let go♫

The more you trust me now,

the more you'll want to

tear me up when you recover.

The Demon King is the Demon King after all.

It's better to keep a distance.

Be good.

Sleep alone.

Watch out!

Did the Hua Lin send you here?

Princess.

The Master of Bright Moon

must die here in Outlanders' City.

If you don't want to die,

get lost!

Retreat!

Are we leaving

without completing our order?

General ordered us

not to hurt the Princess.

You took the knife for me.

You could have died, you know?

I'm fine.

I need to protect you.

I remember that.

I just said it casually.

You can't remember anything else,

but you remembered this?

I don't need to remember it.

Because I want to protect you.

Because I want to protect you.

You can't risk your life to protect me.

If something like this happens again,

protect yourself first.

Don't worry about me.

Do you hear me?

I'm asking you.

Do you hear me?

Your hand.

You're feeding him more pills?

What if...

You'll feel sleepy after taking the medicine.

Sleep when you're sleepy.

Don't wait for me.

Tian Huo and I

have something to talk about.

Tian Huo.

I didn't want to ask about your background,

But now monsters are rampant in the city,
