I'm in this big watery ocean,

and I need help!

Psst, now you toss that ring to save me.

for him to land on.

There's a rock and a piece of wood.

The rock or the wood?

Okay, let's see.

[engine roaring]

The wood's floating!

- Yeah, the wood is lighter and less dense than the rock,

so it floats!

- Hiyah!

- Whoo-hoo!

[laughs] Hooray!

I'm safe.

- Help!

Quick, let's find something else that floats,

so we can rescue her too.

- Hey, what about one of those?

There's a box with holes and a box with no holes.

- Which one do you think will float?

The box with holes or the box with no holes?

Well, let's find out.

- Look, the box with holes is letting water inside,

so it's sinking.

- But the box without holes is keeping the water out,

so it's floating.

[grunts]

Now there's just one Monster Machine

left to rescue.

- Whoa!

- And we'd better do it fast.

- Look, there's a raft that has air inside

and a raft that doesn't.

so it's great at making things float.

- [gasps] It's a pirate!

- Shiver me timbers.

- Oh, no! Her ship is sinking!

- Quick, we've gotta save her.

That sounds like...

sharks, straight ahead!

To get to the pirate,

we'll have to be careful and steer past those sharks.

But me ship's almost sunk!

- Then we'd better get that piece super fast.

- Time for blazing speed!

the first thing I'll need is a waterproof hull.

Now I just need a ballast tank

so our submarine can sink and float.
