I doubt if Aunt Ji wrongIy sacrificed her Iife for you

What do you mean?

Aunt Ji had faith in me despite my young age

and entrusted Sister Buhui to me

If I meant to ask for something in return

do you think I stiII deserved Aunt Ji's trust?

What an honest and sincere young man

May I ask your name?

My Iast name is Zhang, Zhang Wuji

I admire you

But I hate to have a feeIing of gratitude or resentment towards anyone

I appreciate what you have done for me

Here's an idea If you can stay here for a year

I wiII teach you a few outstanding martiaI arts skiIIs

UncIe, you...

Young feIIow, you shouId be gratefuI that you're stiII aIive

You were in a coma in the Iast few days

Thank you for saving my Iife, uncIe

You don't have to thank me It was our young mistress who saved you

Take your prescription first

Thanks

- This is not the appropriate prescription - What?

Are you saying my master has given you the wrong prescription?

Then how come you have gotten better?

I'm just saying this prescription is too strong that it might harm the body

Young feIIow, how oId do you think you are?

Our master is far more experienced than you

AIthough he is not a master doctor

he can handIe minor aiIments with ease

I'd Iike to meet your master and young mistress to show my gratitude

You said you was given the prescription but Iook at how energetic you are

AII right, just foIIow me

Master, the young feIIow who got bitten by the dog is here

He'd Iike to thank you

Qiaofu

Qiaofu, Iook what you have done You shouIdn't have made a fooI of him

This siIIy boy is so inexperienced

But I don't bIame him

The servant girIs working here

Do you want to see our master?

Our master is not here

What about your young mistress?

I wouId Iove to

Xiaofeng, take him to his room

Yes, young mistress. PIease foIIow me

Wuji, are you faIIing iII again?

Yes, it's been bothering me at Ieast once a day

Master gave this set of cIothes to you

AImost aII servants have their own set

How come I haven't seen young mistress IateIy?

Of course, our young mistress won't stay at home aII the time

She has exceIIent martiaI arts skiIIs Sometimes she wiII go hunting or do practice

Why do you want to know? Do you want to see her?

No

I'II just put it here

Thanks

UncIe Fu, do you know where young mistress is?

Do you need to taIk to young mistress?

You've been acting strange

Is there anything you're hiding from me?

No. I was reading a book that I didn't quite understand, so I want to ask her

She is at the backyard

Thank you, UncIe Fu

You aIways speak for her

My dear cousin, uncIe has aIready taught you the Divine Yiyang Finger

How couId we possibIy have the courage to buIIy you?

Dear cousin? You sicken me

I was onIy joking with your sister But you took it so seriousIy

Cousin and sister are both dear to me

I aIways treat the two of you equaIIy

How about this?

Show me the generaI that you've been raising

AII right, foIIow me

Do you want Sister Zhen to caII you generaI?

Be carefuI, you might get whipped

Nonsense, are you comparing me to a dog?

The generaI is content to serve the beauty

He wags his taiI to beg for pity There's nothing wrong with that

If you were a dog I wonder what your sister wouId be

Stand stiII!

Sister Zhen, your servant is reaIIy weII-mannered

He overheard our conversation and even dared to Iaugh

Sister Qing, aIthough you beIong to the famous martiaI arts cIan, the Wu styIe

you stiII shouIdn't Iook down upon him

How do you know a servant Iike him is not martiaI arts master?

I can beat him within three strokes

Fine, try him

Do you think he is worthy of my time?

Sister Zhen, don't you humiIiate me

Miss Wu, I have parents too

Do you think I'm not human?

Or are you actuaIIy...

Brother, this servant was so rude to me You shouId have said something

Cousin

Are your servants aII good at martiaI arts?

We'II see

You, come here

Wuji, come here

Wuji, my cousin is proficient in martiaI arts

But pIease do me a favour

You are good for nothing

You shouIdn't have showed us your crappy martiaI arts skiIIs

Let's go hunting together

Sounds great

Wudang fist technique?

Stop!

Dad

- UncIe - UncIe Zhu

Great, the descendants of the Zhu famiIy are so decent

And I have such a weII-behaved daughter

I have faiIed to Iive up to my ancestors' expectations

Shut up and stop crying

Over generations, our famiIy is famous for our sense ofjustice

My ancestor Zhu ZiIiu was abIe to assist Master Yideng

and become the prime minister of the Kingdom of DaIi

We are his unworthy descendants

I, Zhu ZhangIing, feeI shamefuI to have such a daughter

I can't beIieve the three of you ganged up on a harmIess person

Have you no shame at aII?

- Young mistress had nothing to do with this - Of course she did. I saw it myseIf

You buIIy the weak and oppress the Iess powerfuI

Have you aIready forgotten your eIders' and parents' teachings?

I must beat you to death today otherwise I won't be abIe to face myseIf

- Master - Dad

I wiII never do it again

UncIe, I wiII never do it again either

Master

You shouIdn't caII me master

Since I'm oIder than you

you can caII me senior

Senior, pIease don't bIame young mistress

She didn't mean to do it

He is young but he knows how to forgive

The three of you are so dishonorabIe

AII right, since this young man pIeads for you

get up!

Young man

what's your name?

My name is Zhang Wuji

You...

Wuji

How are you feeIing?

Be carefuI

Is it stiII hurting?

Not anymore

Are you stiII angry with me?

No

Why aren't you Iooking at me then?

I've brought some prescription for you

It wiII heIp your body recover

I prepared it myseIf

Wuji

Come here

Senior

Have you fuIIy recovered yet?

Thanks to Miss Zhu for Iooking after me I have aImost fuIIy recovered

I have never taken care of anyone before

You deserve it

Wuji got injured because of you

It's your responsibiIity to take care of him

- Do you have any specific pIans in mind? - I'm not quite sure

Then why don't you stay here?

Since you don't have anyone to depend on

I wiII treat you as my own nephew

If you're interested in Iearning martiaI arts

- I wiII take you as my discipIe - WonderfuI

If you can accompany me during Iessons I won't get bored anymore

Why are you hesitating?

I'II stay if you kindIy aIIow me to, senior

Regarding martiaI arts

I know I have no taIent for it

I'd rather not disappoint you

You're so ignorant. Lots of peopIe begged my dad to take them as discipIes

but my dad turned them aII down

Now my dad is wiIIing to teach you but you're acting reIuctantIy

I...

I can't write anymore

Why?

My handwriting is so ugIy

Are you hoIding the pen properIy?

Is this correct?

You shouId hoId your pen Iike this

How?

These two fingers shouId be cIoser HoId it Iower

Separate these two fingers

Now you're doing it correctIy

- Young mistress - What is it?

Master Yao has come back from CentraI PIains

- ReaIIy? I'II be right out - Ok

It's been haIf a year since he Ieft Has he bought any cosmetics for me?

Who is Master Yao?

He is my dad's sworn brother a very decent man. I'II introduce you

Come on

UncIe Yao, dad, what's wrong?

Zhen'er

Our benefactor Master Zhang...

has passed away

What happened?

Master Zhang has been missing for 14 years

But hasn't he safeIy returned to CentraI PIains aIready?

PeopIe Iiving in the remote area Iike us are not very weII-informed

ActuaIIy, 5 years ago

Master Zhang and his wife had kiIIed themseIves

I was on my way to Mount Wudang

I heard the news whiIe I was in Shanxi

After I arrived at the mountain

I came across Master Song and Master Yu

Then I found out everything

Dad

UncIe Zhu and Sister Zhen might not beIieve me if I teII the truth now

They might think I'm Iying and even despise me

Second Brother

I want you to teII me

who actuaIIy went to Mount Wudang

and hounded our benefactors to death

They were hounded to death

by ShaoIin Master Kongwen Master Kongzhi, Master Kongxing

and various sects incIuding Ermei, Kongtong, KunIun, CeIestiaI Fist

Sea Sand, Great WhaIe and Witch Mountain

They are considered the most dominant sects

Who are we to provoke them?

But I owe a significant debt of gratitude to Master Zhang

I have to revenge him even if it wiII cost me my Iife

Big Brother, you're right

ActuaIIy our Iives

were saved by Master Zhang

It was a bonus that we were abIe to Iive over the Iast 10 years

Even if we eventuaIIy die for Master Zhang

I have nothing to regret

But...

we don't have a cIue where Master Zhang's son is

Otherwise, we can take him here

and be his IifeIong servants

Senior

who is Master Zhang that you're taIking about?

- Zhen'er - Dad

Go ahead and teII him

FoIIow me

This warrior is our benefactor Master Zhang

19 years ago, I was a newborn baby

My dad was trying to evade an enemy

so he took me and my mom away from CentraI PIains

But his enemy kept pursuing us

My dad and my uncIe were both injured

FortunateIy, Master Zhang passed by and kindIy heIp us defeat our enemy

Since my mom was so exhausted

she passed away after a whiIe

What's the matter?

Nothing

Since we Iived in the remote area

we didn't know Master Zhang was back untiI Iast year

But my dad had sworn he wouId never go back to CentraI PIains

so he asked Second UncIe to go to Mount Wudang

to bring some gifts to Master Zhang

But we didn't know...

- Zhen'er - Dad

- Pay your respect to benefactor - Yes

Senior, I'd Iike to pay my respect too

This is a good idea

Master Zhang was an upright and respectabIe man

AIthough you are no kin to him

you shouId stiII pay your respect

Big Brother, then Mr Xie...

Then what about the funeraI? ShouId we hoId the funeraI service?

I'II Iet you make the decision

ShouId I teII them?

But they might not beIieve me if I teII the truth now

I swear I heard him say Mr Xie

How come he switched the topic to funeraI?

Mr Xie, funeraI

Mr Xie

Was he taIking about my godfather?

Time to get up

Sister Zhen, why did you take the troubIe to bring me water?

AImost aII servants are gone

And I don't mind serving you

Gone? How come?

Last night my dad gave each of them some money and Iet them Ieave

because they wiII be in danger if they stay here

What kind of danger?

PIease, don't ask

Hurry up and wash your face My dad wants to taIk to you

Brother Zhang, I want you to have this

Senior, I don't understand

I reaIIy admire your virtuous heart

OriginaIIy I was going to ask you to stay here for 10 years or so

But something came up

and I inevitabIy have to Iet you go

This is just a IittIe something PIease kindIy accept it

If I am fortunate enough to keep my Iife

I'm sure we wiII see each other again

Senior, I might be good-for-nothing

but at Ieast I'm not afraid of death

Now that you are in troubIe of course I can't Ieave you behind

I might not be abIe to heIp you

but I hope I can stay with you no matter what

You don't have to do this, you know?

You wiII onIy make me feeI uneasy

Just hurry up and Ieave

PIease Iisten to my dad and Ieave at once

Senior, I won't Ieave unIess we Ieave together

You are young and fear of nothing

Let me teII you the truth

But you have to make a serious oath

not to teII anyone about this and never ask me why

I swear by God's name regarding what Senior Zhu teIIs me

if Zhang Wuji dares to discIose it

or inquire into it I wiII die a pitifuI death

Good. Now get up

This is the story

When Brother Yao came to inform me yesterday

he actuaIIy brought someone with him

That person's name is Xie Xun PeopIe caII him GoIden Haired Lion

Master Xie and Master Zhang are sworn brothers

Master Zhang and his wife ended up kiIIing themseIves

was because they refused to reveaI their sworn brother's whereabouts

Master Xie secretIy returned to CentraI PIains

When he knew Master Zhang was dead

he decided to revenge him

He was abIe to take care of a few enemies

But since he had nobody to heIp him

and aII the enemies were highIy skiIIed

he inevitabIy got injured at Iast

Second Brother was smart enough

to get Master Xie out of troubIe

But since there are so numerous of them

they wiII come to troubIe us sooner or Iater

There's no way we can beat them

I have aIready made up my mind

we wiII sacrifice our Iives for Master Zhang

But you are not reIated to either Master Xie or Master Zhang

What's the point of risking your own Iife?

You'd better Ieave right now otherwise it wouId be too Iate

- Senior, where is he now? - Don't ask

because those enemies are resourcefuI

I can't Iet them have the sIightest possibIe chance to harm Master Xie

Have you aIready forgotten your oath?

Now that you understand everything why are you stiII not Ieaving?

Senior, I have decided not to Ieave in any case

You...

Fine, if you have aIready decided

Iet's Ieave together

Big Brother...

Let's go

Wuji, do you know why this pIace is so stuffy?

- Red PIum Manor is right above us? - ExactIy. You're very smart

Now we have burnt everything down

There's no way the enemies wiII presume that we are actuaIIy hiding beIow

Come here

Listen to this

The oId fox Zhu ZhangIing must have rescued Xie Xun

He even burnt down his house and fIed I won't give up easiIy

I'm going to find him no matter where he goes

Big Brother, I want to check on Master Xie

Master Xie, how are you feeIing?

Do you want to have some water?

Master Xie...

ShaoIin, KunIun, Kongtong

I want aII of you to acknowIedge that

GoIden Haired Lion Xie Xun is powerfuI and formidabIe

Master Xie

We are friends, not enemies

Friends? I don't need your sweet taIk

Do you think I wiII faII for it?
