I am so worried that
I'm gonna climb this ladder,

and then it's just
gonna fall beneath me.

MANU:
The elements have been unkind.

Holy crap.
You can't see a thing.

I'm stressed out
because the clock's ticking.

MANU:
They've been challenged
by the terrain.

-ROBERT: There you go.
-JENNYE: Oh, I can't do this.

PUNKIN:
I don't have anything
to hold onto.

(yelps)

(grunting)

MANU:
Strategy has come into play.

BECKYLEE:

running the whole thing.

But as the air gets thinner...

THERRON:
We're waking up,

all we hear is...

And I'm like,

the camp, baby.

It sucked, and it is freezing.

Like, walking through that snow
was hard enough.

With another layer or two,
it's gonna be even harder.

holding the group back,

and so I think
Mama Amy has had her time.

Last night,
when Dennis went home,

that was the last kumbaya vote.

BECKYLEE:

people in my own alliance off.

And this is where I think

we get the fun started.

Dusty is a worry for me,
and I've been trying to, like,

sow some doubt
into people's minds about him.

I would really like to see Dusty

go out as soon as possible.

There's so many twists and turns

that the mountain's keeper
could throw at you.

eventually get him out.

I'm already thinking endgame.

-We got some uphill today.

I think it's gonna be too cold
for it to be wet.

snowy and icy.

JEANNIE:

And he warned us
about the glacier.

JEANNIE:
Manu said
we're gonna be conquering

a glacier,

and I've never seen

a glacier before
in my entire life.

I don't know what kind
of equipment we're gonna need,

but we'll probably find out
as we go. (chuckles)

Probably gonna be
one of our longer travels.

DUSTY:
Let's do it.

I feel really, really good
about my strategy

as a leader.

They all trust me.
I think I've earned it.

up for grabs,

and I feel better and better

about my chances
to actually grab it

at the top of the summit.

MANU: The group now faces
a steep vertical climb

through the snow and ancient ice
of New Zealand's Grant Glacier

to reach the last
two checkpoint camps

before they face a harrowing
final ascent

to the summit.

With conditions so frigid,

today's glacial traverse marks

the most dangerous leg
of their journey.

The group will be forced

to use ice axes

to surmount the glacier's
near-vertical fins

and navigate a claustrophobic
glacial cave.

Crossing the Grand Glacier is
not for the meek of heart.

AMY:
Ice. Watch out.

THERRON:
(shivers) Yeah, it's slippery.

AMY:
This is so cold.

We're hiking up the mountain,

and there's a cliff
in front of us.

I am so terrified.

Like, I mean, honestly,

I'm worried about
slowing the group down,

but something deep, deep down,
I need to keep pushing through.

I always sell myself short.

My goal on day one,

when I saw how hard
it was gonna be,

and I saw Tony fall...

"Just make it to halfway, Amy.

"Just make it seven days in,

get halfway through."

We're on day 11.

I can do this.

I'm too close.

MANU:
On this mountain,
nothing comes without cost.

Special equipment is
essential for the group

to advance further.

However,

obtaining it means sacrificing

someone's dream
of reaching the summit,

along with their money.

But one group member's loss

strategic gain.

(helicopter whirring)

He's got a yellow bag.

PUNKIN: Oh...

JEANNIE:

AMY:
(gasps) Oh!

NICK:
We're so close to the summit.

There's a lot on the line.

I have a feeling that everyone
will be running for this bag.

I got to get to the bag.

I am here to come home
with the money.

(all grunting)

JEANNIE:

Let's get to that bag!

BECKYLEE: I will do
what I need to do to get it

because I don't think
some people

are making it to the summit. So,

what is the mountain's keeper
gonna throw at us?

(all panting)

(Jeannie groans)

Therron ends up
getting to the bag first

and I can't help but wonder

if it means a good thing

or a bad thing for him because

I always know that
the mountain's keeper is about

to throw a big curveball
in the mix.

(all groaning)

Yeah.

-BECKYLEE: What does it say?
-JEANNIE: This is extreme.

THERRON:
Okay. "As you can see,

"there are only six crampons
and six ice axes

"inside this bag.

enough equipment

to get up this mountain.

You know, it's a sacrifice
that just has to be made.

But Therron has
a tough decision to make.

is solely responsible
for voting somebody out.

Being the sole person

to crush someone's dream...

I'm nervous because,
yes, this is a game,

but there's also
human emotion involved.

As a gamer, it's like,
I can't be

worried about
everybody else's feelings.

I have to be worried
about me, my game.

And so, strategy-wise,
it's a big decision.

It's super huge.

But I think
the most important thing is

for me to have conversations
to make sure I'm at the top.

feel bad no matter what he does.

because I trusted Therron.

appreciated the transparency

that would just be stand-up

and be transparent and

But you have to realize
that a lot of people

are thinking similarly.

But what I'm afraid of

is that these people

are going to choose you over me

Amy is very clearly

the slowest person hiking
through thick snow.

Hold on, Therron.
I'm-I'm just... I can't move,

-'cause I'm waiting for Amy.
-(Therron sighs)

And so I think,
at least in my mind,

it's fair to put
the blame on Therron

if she doesn't make checkpoint.

There's a huge hole
to the right,

-so we're gonna move

-JEANNIE: Oh, yeah.

THERRON: I mean, your whole
body's gonna go in if you fall.

BECKYLEE:
Oh, that's terrifying.

(Amy grunts)

Amy's just struggling a lot,

falling through the snow a lot.

with deadly crevices that can
swallow a climber whole."

JEANNIE:

kind of terrifying.

"Swallow a climber whole."

THERRON:

THERRON:
My worst fear right now is that

I made the wrong decision
in voting out Dusty,

because I don't know
if Amy can do this.

She's struggling
just to walk in the snow.

And I just made almost
a million-dollar decision.

If Amy doesn't make it
up this wall,

I'm gonna be really upset

that I didn't take her out

when I had the chance.

NICK:
That is high.

PUNKIN:
This is insane.

(wind whistling)

NICK:
I see this massive glacier

that we got to climb
up and over.

-JEANNIE: Oh, my God.
-NICK: I'm terrified of heights.

But we have to get to our
checkpoint. The only way is up.

Therron,

(breathing heavily)

It's so hard for me
to kick my feet into the wall.

So, now I'm having
to use all arms.

The feet are scary, man.

and have to start over.

I just ice-climbed on a glacier.

I feel so proud of myself

because I didn't
freak out or cry,

and I did it first.

I put myself
in an absolute great position,

because the person
I just got rid of,

Dusty, is no longer gonna be

my replacement
to go to the summit.

And now the rest of the people
are gonna look at me

and be like,
he just climbed that wall.

He's the man that I need
to get to the summit with.

-NICK: Come on, Jeannie.

JEANNIE:

-BECKYLEE: There you go.

(grunting)

JEANNIE:
I'm really scared.
I'm really nervous.

Tonight, I do feel like
I have a target on my back,

because there's very few people
left in this game

and I'm the oldest one out here.

But I don't want
to show it because

I want to prove myself to them

that Jeannie can keep up and
she can get us to the summit.

NICK:
It's so cold.

BECKYLEE:
The worst-case scenario

is we're pulling over
in the wind chill

with a damn bivvy.

Yeah, I don't think
bivvies are an option.

I really don't see how we could
stay in a bivvy tonight.

-We gotta get there.

NICK:
We have to make camp.

PUNKIN:

AMY:

into the solid ice.

This ridge is hard to get over.

an easy obstacle for her.

But if Amy can't make it

everyone is gonna blame Therron.

I just basically asked him
what he was thinking.
