[The Night is Still Young]

[Episode 11]

[Calligraphy Forever]

Your Highness,

Her Highness practiced archery at the shooting range this morning.

After lunch, she went to make some incense.

As usual,

she will go to the back mountain for flower arranging in the afternoon.

Flower arranging with flower tea.

Send her a pot of milk tea.

Yes.

Remember, do not-

Do not let Her Highness know

you're the one caring for her.

Your Highness,

you clearly want to be close to Her Highness,

yet you're suppressing yourself so hard.

Can't you just love freely and

live for yourself once?

[Milk Tea]

My lady,

the milk tea

is something unique to the border regions.

Could it be that His Highness sent it to you?

His actions have nothing to do with me.

I knew Brother Beichen

would remember what I like to drink.

If you like it, you can have it.

Of course.

Brother Beichen gave it to me.

How would I refuse?

I like tea,

so he brought this milk tea

all the way from the border regions.

I like flowers,

so he went to great lengths

to build this flower garden for me.

You don't need to tell me these things.

I just want to remind you

that only someone who cares would go to such lengths.

If it were just for personal gain,

he wouldn't have done so much.

It seems you are useful to Ye Beichen.

That's why you're allowed to live.

You-

Shut your mouth.

The position of Queen Yan will be mine sooner or later.

I don't care about the position

of Queen Yan at all.

If you want it,

just take it.

But if you try these little tricks again,

I won't allow it.

Yue.

Your Highness,

should I go explain to Her Highness?

No need.

-Bravo! -Bravo!

Bravo!

-Bravo! -Bravo!

One more, one more!

Bravo!

Weiyang.

Weiyang.

Actually, that day...

Your thing had nothing to do with me.

Weiyang, listen to me carefully.

I know I was wrong.

Watch out!

Ye Mingxuan, you-

Burns are serious.

You should get a royal doctor to check it

after you go back to your residence.

Weiyang,

it's been a long time since we've talked

so calmly like this.

I know

a lot has happened between us,

and you've had a lot of misunderstandings about me.

I feel like

I'm lost in a fog.

Are the misunderstandings you mentioned

really misunderstandings?

Weiyang,

you would think that way.

I guess it's because

Uncle has given you a lot of hints.

Have you ever considered

why so many things have happened recently,

all aimed at me?

Everything is so coincidental,

as if someone has arranged it,

just to make you misunderstand me.

Weiyang,

you and I have known each other

for a long time.

Don't you know

what kind of person I am?

Do you need someone else

to tell you?

Never mind.

Let's not talk about me.

I'm still a prince after all,

not someone who can be easily framed.

I'm more worried about you.

Uncle has always had designs on you.

With you staying by his side,

I can never be at ease.

I didn't blindly trust anyone.

This time,

I will find the answers myself.

If all of this is Uncle's intentional misguidance,

and you've been kept in the dark,

how can you see the truth?

Weiyang,

why don't you come with me?

I'll ask Father for his approval.

I can judge for myself

what kind of person Ye Beichen is.

I always believe

that the truth will never be covered up,

and lies will never become truth.

I will definitely find the answers.

You should get some rest.

Weiyang.

Weiyang.

I once thought you were like a flower in a mirror

or the moon in the water,

unclear and unfathomable.

♫Lend me a moment of joy, with dreams of fantasy♫

But now I've figured it out.

What have you figured out?

♫Lend me half the warmth, to heal a lifetime♫

There's always been a gulf between us,

so how can we be open and honest with each other?

♫Lifting a cold lamp, illuminating the city♫

Ye Mingxuan is really good at this.

♫Who waits in the fleeting years♫

A few words

and he has you bewitched.

♫Refusing to budge an inch♫

Your methods are just

♫Hate that we can't meet♫

as good as his.

When will you be able to trust me?

♫Lend me a setting sun, to fall on a lonely city♫

When will you be able to be

completely open with me?

♫Lend me the silent wind, to accompany me for a while♫

Forget it.

No matter how I am with others,

♫Frost on my heart, as cold as bone-eating ice♫

you and me,

unless iron trees bloom,

we can never trust each other with our hearts.

♫Chasing memories of years gone by♫

♫Geese pass, leaving only regrets and cries♫

♫Our love was a mutual mistake♫

♫I sigh half my life, unable to leave the fog♫

♫Lighting another stick of sandalwood♫

Actually, I never dare

♫Burning the bitterness of parting♫

to expect your true heart.

♫Looking back, life is but a dream♫

♫Leaving only love and hate to return to the dust♫

Father.

Father.

My dear daughter,

why have you come back?

It's because I missed you, Father.

Don't mix up these copper coins

on the table.

They're just some copper coins.

These are not ordinary copper coins.

Father, you're only focused on your work now.

A few copper coins are more important than me.

Sweetheart,

what's wrong?

Are you angry?

I just haven't had your

cherry pancakes for a long time.

And it's been a long time since I've gone

horseback riding and archery with you.

Alright, alright.

You should stay here for now.

I'll definitely cook for you,

and we'll go horseback riding and archery together.

It's a deal.

It's a deal.

Come on,

sweetheart,

have some tea.

Thank you, Father.

[King Yan's Mansion]

Your Highness, we've found a lead.

This is a batch of counterfeit coins found in the market.

Someone has adulterated the copper needed

to make a real coin to make two fake ones.

This way, they can pocket the leftover copper.

These real and fake coins

look almost identical to the naked eye,

with only a slight difference in quality.

The coin molds

are usually strictly controlled by the royal family.

Now that so many counterfeit coins have flooded the market,

the power behind this cannot be underestimated.

Could it be the Fifth Prince again?

With all these incidents,

isn't he being a bit too hasty?

He's desperate and acting prematurely.

The matter of currency

is the foundation of the nation.

It cannot be taken lightly.

This time,

we can't let him find a scapegoat.

Yes.

Chu Mo,

order the Eagle Guard to prepare for action.

Monitor around the clock.

Yes, Your Highness.

The flowers I planted myself

might be drowned by your watering today.

The flowers in the General's mansion aren't that delicate.

His Majesty decreed today that

the princes should thoroughly investigate the counterfeit coin case.

It's also to assess the princes' abilities.

Whoever solves the case first

can become the Crown Prince.

The counterfeit coin case

is likely to stir up a storm of bloodshed again.

I'll be going to the palace in a few days.

I want to pick some nice flowers

to give to the princes.

Weiyang,

help me choose

which flowers would be appropriate.

Father, I don't know much about flowers.

Actually, flowers are a lot like people.

Look at this azalea.

Its fragrance is pervasive, and its temperament is elegant.

If we give it to that young prince with outstanding

demeanor and obvious brilliance,

it might be a good choice.

Now look at that plum blossom.

Its fragrance is subtle, and it stands proud in frost and snow.

It suits the elder prince with a resilient,

refined, and composed character.

Weiyang,

if we were

to give flowers to the future Crown Prince,

what flowers would be appropriate?

Father,

I don't care

who becomes the Crown Prince.

How could I possibly pick the right flowers?

Master, My lady.

Weiyang,

I heard from Yue

that you didn't eat properly yesterday.

Your body is the only thing that truly belongs to you.

No matter what happens,

or how bad you feel,

you must eat well.

General,

it's time for camp inspection.

I made this myself.

You must eat it.

I know.

The counterfeit coin case...

I remember it was at the lantern tower.

Ye Beichen.

Ye Beichen, how dare you!

I am a king of a different surname appointed by the imperial court.

You have no right to arrest me.

The evidence is conclusive.

You've committed a crime punishable by execution of the entire clan.

Who said these coins are mine?

These are clearly the confiscated goods I seized.

Don't think I don't know where the account book is.

Then go find it.

Without evidence,

even if the King of Heaven came,

you couldn't convict me.

Lock him up first.

Yes.

Ye Beichen, Ye-

I have ways to make you confess.

-Go. -Go

Weiyang, are you here to save me?

Feng Xuanyi.

If you want me to save you,

you need to tell me first

who you are colluding with.

That person is a big shot.

I dare not say his name out loud.

Watch out!

Weiyang, you're hurt.

Go!

You're covering up for the person behind this,

but he wants to kill you to silence you.

Feng Xuanyi,

if I hadn't been here today,

you would have been dead already.

Feng Xuanyi is an important lead.

Go protect him quickly.

Let's go.

Feng Xuanyi!

Feng Xuanyi!

Feng Xuanyi!

Weiyang?

Protect the Queen Yan!

Ye Beichen's people have already arrived.

Tonight's plan can't be carried out.

Arrows are blind. I can't risk hurting Weiyang.

Notify everyone to retreat quickly.

Yes.

Weiyang, come with me.

Weiyang!

Weiyang.

Weiyang, are you alright?

Come with me quickly.

Weiyang.

Chu Mo.

Ye Mingxuan.

Don't you have anything to defend yourself?

Uncle, what do you mean?

I just wanted to confirm

if King Xuannan was injured.

You don't have to pretend with me.

You clearly want to put Feng Xuanyi to death.

After all, dead men tell no tales.

Words are not proof.

Without evidence,

Uncle, you shouldn't make baseless accusations.

Feng Xuanyi himself is the evidence.

If you have time,

you should think about how to convict yourself

so that your punishment might be lighter.

How could you barge into my room?

Get out!

This is my mansion.

I can go anywhere I want.

♫Reciting a verse, dreaming of a scene of♫

♫Similar pasts♫

Shameless.

♫In the end, it is like passing clouds, all in vain♫

♫Looking up and seeing the moonlight♫

You're hurt so bad.

♫Just like in a past life♫

♫This moment's wish is to be together♫

It's just a minor injury.

You don't need to worry.

♫In this life, once more♫

♫To experience this rise and fall♫

♫Just to be with you until the end of life♫

♫Can I be spared from the fate♫

♫Of being forgotten by each other?♫

♫Holding a solitary lamp♫

See people with your heart,

♫To part ways with that old acquaintance♫

not just your eyes.

♫This life is lonely, the road stretches endlessly♫

After all that has happened,

♫Parting ways, free as water and clouds♫

when have I ever truly harmed you?

♫The south wind fulfills the wish; the dream fades away♫

All these incidents

seem to be related to Ye Mingxuan.

♫Under the Three-Life Stone, I felt the sorrow of the pear blossoms♫

He claims not to be involved in court politics,

♫A glance back, and still, deep love remains♫

yet he appears to have a hand in every crucial matter.

♫Memories linger, refusing to fade quietly♫

And he's the one who benefits from it all.

♫Time flies, and the love, hate, joy, sorrow♫

♫Partings and reunions come alive on the page♫

But Ye Mingxuan went there tonight

to save me.

♫A wish from the past life, fulfilled in this life♫

Have you ever considered

♫The world is eternal, and longing lasts long♫

why he went there?

♫Turn that unwillingness into meaning♫

Then why did you go there?

I...

♫Turn regret into sorrow♫

♫Time slowly tells the stories of the past♫

Don't move.
