=Guardians of the Dafeng=

=Episode 21=

You're just 4th Rank Fighters.

How dare you only stand with me here?

Rou!

After taking three of my strikes,

he won't die, but he can only struggle to survive.

However,

who exactly is this guy?

I'm talking about that arm.

Arm?

From my observation,

that arm doesn't belong to him.

The strength of its demonic power

is the most powerful I've ever seen.

Yang Qianhuan,

are your eyes on your back?

Before he left,

I secretly glanced at him.

Could you turn around and speak?

You weren't like this before.

I can't.

Please allow me to refuse.

I do things according to my own will.

I don't care about anyone's opinion.

I've carefully observed Wei Yuan and the Supervisor.

Didn't you all

notice this?

What do you mean?

One stands on the Watchtower, with his back to you;

the other sits on the Bagua Platform, with his back to us.

We all think

Wei Yuan and the Supervisor

have the demeanor of great masters.

Alright, let's get to the point.

Based on the current intel we have,

that hand must be the sealed object from the Sangbo lakebed.

That's right.

That man in gray is Heng Hui.

As long as we can catch him,

we'll find out where Princess Pingyang is.

The Sangbo Case happened only a few days ago,

and you Guardians

have got so many details?

Wait.

Why have I never heard

my juniors from the Astronomical Bureau mention this case to me?

Didn't you ask them for assistance?

You Guardians

don't have such great abilities.

We Guardians didn't even deploy the Gold Gongs.

The one handling the case

was just an ordinary Copper Gong.

A Copper Gong?

Which one?

You should have heard of him.

He's quite famous in the Bureau.

His name is Xu Qi'an.

Xu

Qi

An?

I heard of him when I first returned to the Bureau.

He's an alchemy genius.

But I didn't expect

that he would also handle the Sangbo Case.

Doesn't this make him stand out even more?

What a strong rival.

What's the deal with that demonic hand?

I don't know.

I'm not interested in these strange powers

and have no desire to be interested.

Listen carefully.

In today's battle,

I, Yang Qianhuan,

will take the lead in merit.

He's been away from the capital for months,

and his condition is worsening.

Should we get him another physician?

Forget it.

Let him die from the illness.

Senior,

I've suffered serious injuries.

The severed arm has backfired.

Heng Hui,

stop this while you still can.

Senior,

I entered the Azure Hall when I was six

and have been by your side ever since.

You taught me to chant scriptures,

taught me to meditate,

took care of my clothes, food

and daily needs,

and treated me like a brother,

like a father.

Now,

there's something

I want to ask of you.

I want...

I want

to eat you, Senior.

I want to eat you, Senior.

(Guardians)

Lord Wei.

(Like a Dragon Entering the Thunder)

- Why the laugh? - Why the laugh?

Nothing.

I didn't laugh.

I didn't laugh.

We fought fiercely last night.

Where were you?

You Gold Gongs

are best

at fighting.

I'm a mere Copper Gong.

I'd only hold you back

if I went.

You're just afraid of death.

- Absolutely not. - Enough.

Last night, Heng Hui appeared at the Minister of War's Mansion.

These Gold Gongs...

They were injured by Heng Hui.

Last night, the yamen set up a trap at the Minister of War's Mansion.

Three Gold Gongs

and one 4th Rank disciple of the Supervisor.

Four 4th Rank experts didn't capture Heng Hui.

Did you see where he came from?

A severed hand.

As expected.

Lord Wei,

what rank is the owner of this severed hand?

At least 2nd Rank.

Most likely, 1st Rank.

What's the origin of this severed hand?

Is it related to the Tianyu?

This matter

involves a very secret affair.

I do not know

the specific details.

What we know now is

Heng Hui has been seriously injured.

He is still in the city.

I have reported the situation to His Majesty.

The city search continues.

You

continue your investigation.

Yes.

Where is the Minister of War now?

He is under house arrest in his mansion

in the name of protection.

I'll investigate it now.

Wait.

Mr. Zhang is a 2nd Rank official.

Be cautious.

Officials of the 4th Rank or above

should not be subjected to Gazing Spell.

This is the rule.

Yes.

However,

you can still bring a sorcerer.

Understood.

Then I'll have Caiwei accompany me.

No need.

A stronger sorcerer

has been waiting for you at the yamen for the whole night.

Waiting for me?

You must be the alchemy genius Xu Qi'an.

It's just a few tricks.

As for alchemy,

the Bureau is the best of the time.

Quite perceptive.

May I ask who you are?

The best sorcerer of the Bureau,

Yang Qianhuan.

I assume

you must know me.

Huan

Qian

Yang.

It's Yang Qianhuan.

My senior.

The only formationist

in the Dafeng.

A 4th Rank formationist.

Senior Yang.

I've long admired your name.

I've long admired you.

Senior Yang,

why are you facing away from me?

Only by facing away from the crowd

can one show

the demeanor of a great master.

What do you think?

(So,)

(he's a Chunibyo boy.)

Senior Yang,

you're right.

What do you need from me?

Take it.

What's this?

My Merit Records.

(Merit Records) Yesterday,

I assisted the Guardians

in taking down a madman.

This madman has a bronze body and iron arms.

His demonic energy is terrifying.

The three Gold Gongs were no match for him.

Luckily, in the end,

I used the Killing Intent

of Heaven, Earth, and Men

to turn the tide

and secure the victory,

defeating the madman.

Based on this,

I, Yang Qianhuan,

will take the lead in merit.

I've written all the details of this battle thoroughly.

Take your time to read it.

Just announce it to the world as it is.

Just announce it to the world

as it is.

That's all?

Senior Yang,

why not go directly to Lord Wei?

I'm just a small Copper Gong.

I've asked,

but I don't know what Wei Yuan was thinking.

He said you're in charge of the Sangbo Case,

and that everything must be reviewed by you

before it can be disclosed.

(Lord Wei sure knows how to shift blame.)

Rest assured, Senior Yang.

Once I finish handling this case,

I'll certainly announce it to the world as it is.

That's good.

It's not in vain that I've waited for you all night.

You go back to work.

I'm going to sleep now.

Senior Yang, don't rush off.

Anything else?

It's nothing serious.

I just suddenly remembered a line

that suits your temperament.

Holding the sun and moon, I pluck the stars.

There is no one like me in this world.

It's wild,

solitary,

and invincible.

What a good line.

What a good line.

I stumbled upon this line some time ago

but had never met anyone who could match it

until today when I saw you.

How about this?

If you don't mind,

I'll give you this line as a gift

for our first meeting.

You really know how to flatter me.

Since you're offering it so sincerely,

I won't

stand on ceremony.

Let me take a moment to appreciate it.

Holding the sun and moon, I pluck the stars.

There is no one like me in this world.

Holding the sun and moon, I pluck the stars.

There is no one like me in this world.

Holding the sun and moon, I pluck the stars.

There is no one like me in this world.

Holding the sun and moon, I pluck the stars.

There is no one like me in this world.

It's a good line,

but it still feels

like something is missing.

It's missing your handsome face.

By the way, Senior Yang,

you've accumulated so many merits.

Do you mind adding one more?

Do you know how?

Tell me quickly.

Here's the thing.

I need to go to the Minister of War's Mansion

to interrogate Zhang Feng.

I need a powerful sorcerer like you

to help me discern the truth.

You Guardians just can't do your job

without our Bureau.

Fine. I'm in a good mood today.

I'll go with you.

Alright, I'll prepare the horse now.

Please wait a moment.

No need.

Close your eyes lightly,

and bow your head for two breaths.

Holding the sun and moon, I pluck the stars.

There is no one like me in this world.

I found it.

It feels just right now.

Senior Yang,

where is this?

Who are these rogues

to dare to trespass the Minister of War's Mansion?

I'm the Lead Investigator of the Sangbo Case.

Vanish.

Vanish again.

Vanish again.

Keep vanishing.

Senior Yang, what are you doing?

Don't worry.

I'm just setting up a formation

to move them to a quieter place.

How bold!

Who's making the noise here?

Who are you

to dare trespass the Minister of War's Mansion?

I'm the Lead Investigator of the Sangbo Case.

Vanish.

This one can't vanish.

Vanish? Vanish what?

Let's go

inside to talk.

I apologize for the disturbance.

Please forgive me, Mr. Zhang.

Mr. Xu is young and talented.

I heard that not only has the Sangbo Case progressed rapidly,

but you also uncovered the culprit

behind Earl Pingyuan's case.

Mr. Zhang,

you flatter me.

No need for pleasantries.

Ask what you need to ask.

I'm here to understand the case

and speed up the investigation.

Mr. Xu, you're joking.

You Guardians are handling the case,

so you must be

more familiar with the details.

What clues could there be here?

Senior Yang,

during the questioning just now,

which things were true

and which were false?

None of it was true.

This old fox.

If there's nothing else, I'll return to the Bureau.

Alright, thank you, Senior Yang.

Okay.

Goodbye...

Senior Yang,

are you alright?

It's nothing.

It happens.

We've found Heng Yuan.

What happened?

You're too late.

He's already gone to paradise.

He's dead?

Between me and death,

he chose the latter.

His life

was taken by the demonic hand.

I want to eat you, Senior.

No.

I can't kill him.

Heng Yuan is a Martial Monk.

His blood and qi were strong,

just enough to heal your injuries.

What?

You no longer want revenge?

No.

He is my senior.

No.

I can't kill him.

You once told me

that everyone can be killed

for your revenge.

Why is he

an exception?

He is my senior.

I respect him most in this world.

So,

what about Pingyang?

Pingyang...

Pingyang...

Heng Hui.

Heng Hui.

Everyone in this world can be killed,

but not my senior.

Heng Hui!

Senior,

didn't you always want to know

what happened

Afterward,

the evil object disappeared.

Only I stayed behind,

waiting for all of you.

Is it because you have something to say?

He's gone,

but he didn't give up on revenge.

He handed the burden to me.

Now,

I want to tell you all a story.

A story from a year ago.

Is it the story of Heng Hui and Princess Pingyang?

One year ago,

in the Azure Hall,

Heng Hui first met Princess Pingyang.

In Heng Hui,

Pingyang saw

the freedom she had long yearned for.

To escape her arranged marriage,

they decided

to leave the capital asap.

(Duke Yu's Mansion)

In order to leave the capital,

they needed a weapon that could conceal their aura

to hide from the Bureau sorcerers.

Additionally,

they needed someone

who could help them forge new identities

and find a way

to leave the capital.

For this,

Princess Pingyang

found a trustworthy friend,

the lineal son of Earl Pingyuan.

At that time, Earl Pingyuan and the noble factions

were already drifting apart.

After learning of the plan from his son,

he colluded with the then-Vice Minister of War

and devised a plan

to send Princess Pingyang out of the capital,

in order to strike

at Prince Yu's faction.

Where is Princess Pingyang now?

Has Earl Pingyuan provided her with a new identity?

(Wang Heng from Jianzhou) The naive Princess Pingyang

was unaware of the complex court politics

and the malice of people's hearts.

A naive and unworldly girl

and a Wanderer who'd been away from the world.

The moment they decided to leave together,

the tragedy

was already sealed.

Human hearts can be venomous.

Once they left the capital,

they revealed

their true intentions,

planning to assault Princess Pingyang.

Pingyang and Heng Hui fought to the death.

In the end,

one was killed,

and the other

committed suicide with a hairpin.

Princess Pingyang died?

You said "they".

Who else was involved,

besides Earl Pingyuan's lineal son?

Another villain

was Zhang Feng's son,

Zhang Yi.

No!

No!

Stop!

Heng Hui!

Heng Hui!

Since Heng Hui died a year ago,

why is he here now?

After someone dies,

they cannot come back to life.

Someone used secret magic to seal Heng Hui's primordial spirit in his body

and turned him into an unconscious walking corpse.

In this year,

what sustained him was revenge.

It's the blood feud of Princess Pingyang.

Who saved him?

What is their true purpose?

This

is still unknown.

In Heng Hui's memory,

this part is very vague.

He only knows that the person used his body

to refine the demonic energy for the demonic hand.

A corpse puppet.

A secret method of the Witcher's Sect.

It seems Heng Hui was merely a vessel.

The mastermind behind this

used the corpse puppet to weaken the demonic energy,

so they could use the demonic hand.

The witness has died.

Do you have any proof of what you just said?

If you don't believe it,

take the body back

and have the coroner examine it.

Be gentle.

Here it is.

(Heng Hui was defeated and fled.)

(The Witcher's Sect's secret method.)

Lord Wei, Princess Lin'an is here.

Xu Qi'an,

accompany Princess Lin'an

to the morgue.

Yes.

(The Witcher's Sect)

(Peace)
