My name is Fear-zie the Scare Bear,

and I'll be your guide.

Follow me... - Okay, everyone remember.

Fozzie's trying to show us he can be spooky for Halloween.

So no laughing. Got it? all: Got it!

- Our first stop is the Haunted Tree!

But watch out for flying ghosts,

witches, and...

rubber chickens!

Pretty scary, aah?

- Wow, what a...surprise.

- Definitely not funny. - Oh, yeah.

- But the spookies have just begun!

Please, step right this way...

What's that sound

coming from the Haunted Bog?

Could it be...a swamp monster?

[all screaming]

With our spooky costumes.

- But the ghost didn't seem scared

when he was chasing us around the yard.

If I hadn't built this haunted playground,

we wouldn't have wound up chased by a real ghost.

So, I'm the one who's gotta get rid of him.

- No! - Don't do it!

- He'll spook your pants off!

- [chuckles]

- Fozzie, you saved us.

You scared the ghost away!

- No he didn't, he "funnied" it away!

- [gasps] I did!

- Who knew that ghosts like jokes so much?

- [laughs] Fozzie funny!

- I guess my silly costume was a good one after all.

Even if it's not spooky, like yours.

- We don't want you to be spooky

just because it's Halloween.

You can be whatever you want to be,

even funny Fozzie Bear!

Good. 'Cause I think I'm better at being funny

What's all this spooky stuff for?

- Miss Nanny made us a Halloween breakfast.

- Oh boy. They're my favorite!

- And these aren't just any pancakes--they're special.

See? They're shaped like ghosts!

And, I used blueberries for the eyes.

- I think that makes them booberries, aaah?

Get it, Kermit? Boo-berries.

Cause they're ghosts.

- [sighs]

- Hey, you're not laughing.

Is something wrong?

- It's just that... these pancakes

aren't like the ones my mom makes.

She makes them round, not ghost-shaped.

And they never have blueberries in them.

- Mmm, you should taste them, Kermie.

- [muffled] They're delicious.

- And there's plenty of maple syrup.

Mmm!

- I don't need to taste them.

I know I won't like them.

- You might love my blueberry pancakes, Kermit.

[howls]

One ooky-spooky Halloween story, comin' up!

Once upon a time...

there was a sleepy little town called Halloween Hollow.

The villagers named it after their favorite holiday.

- Ooh! Thanksgiving? - Fozzie.

It's called Halloween Hallow.

- Oh, right...

Fourth of July? - Good grief.

- Anyway... In Halloween Hollow,

everyone's favorite holiday was Halloween.

Each year they threw a big party,

and all the townspeople came.

The schoolteacher was first to arrive:

Kermabod Crane.

- Kermabod? What kinda name is that?

- Shh, it's an old timey ghost story name!

- Ohhh. Uh, right. Got it.

- Next to arrive was Count Fozzicula.

- Vleh! Count Fozzicula vants to scare you

vith his chompy vampire teeth!

Ha. Ha. Ha.

- Then came the town werewolf:

WereAnimal!

- [howls]

- And he brought his friends,

Pigenstein Monster...

- Les grr. Les roooar.

- And, um...

[woman screams]

This guy! - The Great Gonz-O'Lantern!

- Oookay.

- If you say so.

- C'mon, let's eat.

[all giggling]

- These villagers were a strange group, all right.

But they sure threw a good party

with lots of food,

like boooo-berry pancakes.

Everyone in Halloween Hollow

loved the yummy pancakes,

except for Kermabod.

He wouldn't try them.

- You bet I won't. Yuck.

- But what Kermabod didn't know

was that, just at that moment,

something was passing by. both: Whoa!

- It was the Witch of Trying New Things!

- Seriously?

- She could hear someone

turning up his nose

from a mile away,

and she loved making

Halloween mischief.

- Don't wanna try boo-berry pancakes, huh?

Then how about I make them trying for you!

- With a wave of her wand,

she turned the pancakes into ghosts!

- Ghosts?

[all gasp]

- [cackles]

- Yikes! Now they're twice as yucky as before.

Bleh.

- Oh no, Kermabod!

The ghost pancakes heard you "yuck" them.

Now there's going to be...

trouble.

- [yelps]

- Yes indeed,

by refusing to try the pancakes,

Kermabod Crane sent them into a tizzy!

- Oh! No tizzy, no tizzy!

- They're making a huge mess!

all: What are we gonna do?

[upbeat, spooky music]

- ♪ Oooooooh ♪

- [cackles]

- ♪ From the deepest darkest nook of Nanny's kitchen ♪

♪ Comes a ghostly pancakey breakfasty invention ♪

♪ Everybody who tastes them says, "Hey, that's not bad!" ♪

♪ But if you won't even try them ♪

♪ Well, that makes 'em mad ♪

♪ Now they're hauntin', howlin' ♪

♪ All up in yo business ♪

♪ It's a ghosty breakfasty ♪

♪ Pancake apparition ♪

♪ Can't catch 'em, can't snatch 'em ♪

♪ Get them back on your plate ♪

♪ Because an angry pancake ♪

♪ Always gets away ♪

♪ But there's one thing ♪

♪ To make 'em stop bothering you ♪

♪ You just gotta take a little bitty taste ♪

♪ It's time to try something new! ♪

[ghosts howl]

- Please stop messing everything up!

- Whoa! Those pancake ghosts

are even wilder than Were-Animal.

- We have to find a way to catch them,

before they make an even bigger mess

and destroy Halloween Hollow!

all: Whoa! Ah!

- Where'd they go? I don't see them.

- [gulps] I do.

[rumbling]

[ghosts howling, cackling]

- Here they come!

Come back here! - Gah! Hold still!

- Are you seeing what I'm seeing?

- Yeah. Halloween gets weirder every year.

[chicken clucks]

both: Whoa!

- [grunts]

Uh-oh. [groaning]

- Things were not looking good for the villagers...

[all sigh]

- Catching the ghosts with our hands

is not working.

We have to try something new.

- Something new? [whines]

- [chicken clucking] - Hmm.

I think I've got an idea.

[cackling]

- Umm, how does this work again?

- We tickle them until they surrender, obviously.

- Y'know, you could just try the pancakes.

- No way! - Suit yourself.

- Tickle, tickle, tickle! - Tickle, tickle, tickle!

- Tickle, tickle, tickle! - Tickle, tickle, tickle!

- Ah... - Ah...

all: Ah...boo!

both: Ah-boo!

ve use these rubber chickens to make the ghosts laugh.

- Or, you could just try the pancakes.

- I said, no! - Fine.

- Ready? One, two, three!

[ghosts howl]

all: Whoa! - Are they laughing yet?

- I can't tell! - Uh-oh!

- But the rubber chickens were of no use!

- I'm sensing a theme.

- Soon the villagers would have no choice

but for Kermabod to try the pancakes.

- These rubber chickens aren't working either.

[sighs] There's only one thing left to do.

- Yes! - Use maple syrup.

- What?

[cackling]

- Are you sure these new syrup squirters

will work on the pancakes? I've never used one before.

- I'm sure.

Hey, pancakes!

Prepare to be stickified.

Let's get 'em!

[all yell]

[spooky rock music]

Ha-ha!

- Ah! [laughs]

- Ha-ha!

♪ ♪

- Whoa. Ha. Aha! Ha-ha!

- [laughing]

- [yelps]

Whoa. - [peeping]

[all yell]

- [startled yelp] - Yahoo!

- [laughing] Yah!

[air hissing] - [grunting]

Oh, no! I'm out of syrup!

- [gasps] We're out of syrup too!

- And there's still a gazillion of them left.

- What do we do?

- Kermabod, there's no other way.

You've got to try the pancakes.

- No! I don't like trying new things.

I'm... I'm...

I'm afraid. - Aww.

Well, ya tried the feathers. They were new.

- Yeah. And you tried the rubber chicken poles,

they were new too.

- Hm. Those were both disasters.

- Hey, the feather idea was perfect.

I blame user error.

- And...you tried the syrup squirters.

- Oh, yeah! Those were pretty fun.

- Not every new thing you try's gonna be amazing.

- But some things will be.

- Yeah... I guess you're right.

- Ugh. Finally.

- Hm. Alright, haunted pancakes!

Just this once...

I'll try you.

- And so at last,

Kermabod tried the haunted pancakes.

- Mm, mm.

They're...

- They're great!

- The witch's spell was broken.

The haunted pancakes returned to normal

and Halloween Hollow was saved.

[laughter]

I should've tried them before deciding.

- That's okay, Kermit.

You were very brave to try something new.

- Yeah! Even if these pancakes aren't haunted.

[all giggle]

- [gasps] Oh, no!

- Kermie, are you okay? - What is it?

- My boo-berry pancakes!

- Ahh! Did they turn into ghosts?

- Worse.

They're all gone!

[laughter]

[upbeat music]
