- Today is September 18th, 2045.

Fifth day of research of Hongjiyin advance team.

An hour ago, we encountered a snowstorm.

Here we are in the unknown snow area.

In the coming days we will continue to explore

this mysterious snow fields.

Xiaoqin?

Say hello.

Be serious. We're not here for a picnic.

I just wanna make a video

for my daughter.

Hey. So, is the data stable?

It's been a while since the storm, very stable.

Heads up, everyone.

There's a slope ahead.

- Xiaoqin, look!

The geomagnetic data keeps climbing,

it's now far beyond the norm.

That's interesting.

Xiaoqin, what's going on over there?

- Professor, our current magnetic energy field

is very unstable.

Our readings are very abnormal

and the field instability is accelerating.

It seems that the data we've been monitoring is accurate.

Shen, look at the geological waveform.

This kind of geomagnetic structure

is very likely to cause gene mutations.

It seems our inference is correct.

Xiaoqin, be aware of your surroundings.

Safety first.

Copy that, director.

What's going on?

How can there be heat all of a sudden?

Is this a geothermal surge?

Get them out of there!

If we withdraw now, then all my work is gone.

- Get them out of here!

Haihong, change of plans!

Evacuate now!

Repeat: evacuate now!

- What's wrong?

What is that?

Brother!

This is a spirit beast head

unearthed from Taixigang Village.

If you break it, you buy it.

What are you waiting for? Get him!

- We'll be back.

What the hell?!

- You'll see. - Go!

Ren Yifei.

Long time no see.

Hey! Hey!

Why do you close the door?

Hey!

Ren Yifei, it was director Shen himself who sent me.

I definitely wouldn't do it otherwise.

You left Xiaoqin and came to this shitty place?

You know what you are?

You're an asshole.

And you're a coward.

Ren Yifei, what was it like with you and Xiaoqin?

I shall not ask.

But I came here today to tell you

that something bad has happened to Xiaoqin.

Five days ago, she led team to a snowy field in the Arctic.

Just two days ago, we lost contact.

I was entrusted by Director Shen

to ask you to lead the team

to bring Xiaoqin and her team back.

Forget it, Teacher Lin.

Don't waste your time with him.

Ren Yifei, listen to me. I'll give you one last chance.

I'm counting to three-

- Idiot.

When do we start?

Three months ago

through analysis of satellite cloud images

we found in the Arctic snow field a sharp increase

in geothermal heat.

What's more, further analysis of the satellite images

revealed that the heat increase was continuous and stable.

All of this indicates

that something significant is happening.

Are you sure that it's not just volcanic activity?

- Hmm, I don't think so.

The geomagnetic flow there is very strong,

which has likely caused genetic mutations

in surrounding organisms.

And that's what we're interested in.

- To gather information

Xiaoqin led a team there five days ago

without expecting being attacked by unknown creatures.

- Based on what Xiaoqin sent us

I went back and looked it up,

and found that where we lost contact with her

was exactly here.

I didn't know there was a place like this.

- Huh. Well, that's interesting.

It seems we're not far from it.

Are you kidding me?

Look at this place.

You can't just drive a car to the location.

Number two, number four, figure out the route.

- Okay.

Hey, you, you may watch, but don't touch anything.

Fatty, the map.

Take it yourself.

Tiangang. Tianqi.

Round for ground. Rod for needle.

What are you doing?

Tianfu. Tianliang.

Seven stars gather.

It can't be that simple.

Wencai?

Did you see?

We found it.

- This should be Shenshishuwei.

Wencai.

Be careful.

Everybody be careful.

How can that happen?

What's going on?

- Director, the signal is dead.

- Is there a fault in the line?

- Check the system. - See what went wrong.

Is everyone okay?

Ouch, my feet.

- Mr. Lin, are you okay?

Are we all here?

, number five?

- Are you okay? - What is this place?

Mr. Lin?

I'm very sorry, I landed on it.

Everyone calmed down. It's all over the place.

Don't need to yell about it.

It's Qi Dynasty soldier's armor.

Qi Dynasty?

- Qiqi Emperor? - Perhaps,

this is the tomb of King Qi?

Hey! Look!

There's a hole on the head.

Here, too.

Here. And here.

- These people all have a hole on their heads.

Here's a hole, too.

And here.

And here.

- There are some over there, too.

The geological layer is only of the Cretaceous period.

- The Cretaceous period? Was that when there were dinosaurs?

Hey, guys. This stone is really hot.

Stop! Don't move!

The first rule of adventure:

assume that anything you're encountering for the first time

can kill you in an instant, idiot.

- Damn fatty, what did you say?

- Sorry. Sorry.

Number four.

Wencai.

There's phosphorus everywhere.

Do not light a fire.

This is not a war zone.

If you want to get out of here alive,

you have to listen to me.

Listen clearly. Did you hear what my brother said?

Ren Yifei, why is it so cold in here?

Hey, Ren Yifei!

Why do I get the feeling that you screwed us?

Are you sure we can get to the snow area?

Aren't you the king of adventure? total badass and all that?

I haven't found a wife yet.

You have to protect me.

My mom still wants me to give her a big fat baby boy-

Ren Yifei?

- It's just a dead crow. - What's so weird about that?

- Do you mind? - We're working here.

Anyways, it's not a crow.

This kind of bird died out thousands of years ago.

Don't you think it's weird?

The environment here is not suitable for animals at all.

How did they survive?

Hmm. Interesting.

The unique wet flow in the cave would calcify the bones,

but it doesn't seem long since it died.

Biologically speaking, that could happen, I suppose.

Because of the wet cave climate-

We can't go any further.

Keep going.

You'll give up saving Xiaoqin?

So arrogant a few moments ago. Now scared to death?

Huh, baldy.

Kinda like when you were younger, isn't it?

Baldy? How could you disappear?

You there, you hear me?

It's no use.

There's too much geomagnetic interference in here.

- Number four, come with me. - Hmm.

Who's there?

Baldy, what are you doing?

Stop playing around.

Oh God!

Just look at his head.

Just like all the skulls back there. Oh my God.

Watch out!

They're coming!

- Fire!

Heizi! Come back!

Check your flight!

Keep the formation!

One o'clock!

Spread out! Invasive action!

There're too many of them!

Retreat! Take cover!

Pay attention to the left! Keep hiding!

They're everywhere!

Retreat!

Hold your fire!

Number four!

Get everyone out of here!

Youcai, run!

It's sound, they use sound to find targets.

Youcai is a goner.

Be quiet.

Handsome, get up and make money.

Handsome, get up and make money.

Alarm clock.

Run!

Hurry!

- There is a light. - That's the exit.

Run over there!

Are you okay?

- Yeah.

Get up.

Where are we?

- Be careful, everyone.

I found it. I finally found it.

- The energy source is just like the north and south poles.

It forms high pressure, ionizes upper atmosphere molecules,

and then forms the aurora.

No, it's not an aurora.

Quantum fluctuations are random.

According to the time dependent intensity

of the transverse field,

it causes quantum fragmentation between states

on the vision.

It was like the object came close to me.

And that's exactly what I'm proposing.

The spatial iridoid hypothesis,

surprisingly, it really exists.

- If purgatory looks like this, who'd wanna go to heaven?

Have you heard from Xiaoqin?

Before they set out, they all put on trackers.

Maybe we'll get lucky.

Ren Yifei!

Ren Yifei! Do you hear me?

Do you hear me?

Yeah, I hear you.

Where you are now is the last place

we've received Xiaoqin'd signal.

Please find her.

- Director, don't worry.

I'll be sure to bring her back.

Go.

- What is this?

Wencai?

What the hell is this?

This is the fossil of a dinosaur.

Looks like the magnetism of this place

can affect the size of a creature.

If we keep going, well, I'm afraid-

- Look!

It's from their van!

Something must have happened.

But where's the rest of the van?

Look, it's Xiaoqin!

It's Xiaoqin.

There's a chance she's still alive.

Get ready!

Stay alert.

It's coming.

10 o'clock.

Fire!

Yanjing, come back!

It's behind you!

Yanjing! Hurry!

Hurry up!

Yanjing!

Yanjing!

Yanjing, hold on!

- Boss!

Boss!

He's gone! Come on!

Go uphill!

Retreat!

Yes, sir.

It's under us.

- We need higher ground!

Yifei!

There it is!

It really exists.

The snow monster.

- Be careful, everyone.

Don't disturb it.

- Fire!

Rocket launcher!

Go!

Avalanche!

Avalanche!

- Fall back! - Run! Go!

Run fast!

- Hurry!

Everybody run!

- Help!

Hurry. Come on!

Go.

Chief, it's all set.

Oh my God. I don't want to die.

I don't want to die.

Oh God.

Oh God.

Yifei!

Ren Yifei!

Don't move!

Chief! Chief!

Stay back

Stupid boy.

You're no match.

Now you die.

So hot.

What does she say?

I don't know,

but it seems like she's gonna skin you alive.

Stop! Kaya, stop!

It's all right.

- Xiaoqin! - You're alive!

It's all right.

They're friends of mine.

Xiaoqin!

We finally found you!

Are you okay?

Xiaoqin.

- You are awake.

Where am I?

A home of a primitive tribe.

Don't exert yourself. You have hypothermia.

You've been snowed under for too long.

They were blood letting you just now,

release the cold from you.

And what did you do?

The second you woke up

you put a knife to someone's neck.

Xiaoqin.

How'd you get here?

- Just like you.

I was here when I finally woke up.

Tunzi and Xiaowang were badly wounded.

And Xiaozhuang-

Professor Lin, are they all right?

- They left footprints.

They'll be found soon.

Yanjing, number six, Baldy.

I'm sorry.

Rest in peace.

- Boss.

We're back.

Did you find them?

No.

- Get some rest.

- Okay.

- Stay alert everyone. - Out of the supplies.

We lost several capsules.

Everything else is intact.

- Alert.

Look at him.

It shows up again.

Mr. Taisen, your brother won't have died in vain.

You think I risked my life, bringing you all to this place

just to save a girl and a research team?

I've studied genetics for most of my life.

This is what we've been waiting for.

Wanna know a secret?

I was actually hired by the Middle East Spear Shark Group.

You can call me Henry.

I'm not even Chinese.

As long as you help me to catch that beast,

I will give you anything that money can buy.

Just think about the possibilities.

Are you outta your mind?

That thing is huge!

You go pull a hair off of it if you're such a warrior.

- I can help you

Yifei, do you know that I worked day and night

just to find this place?

After I get out of here I'm gonna tell everyone,

let them all know in this world

there's beauty in the strangest places.

There are so many unknowns. So much to discover

Xiaoqin, you know what?

After Columbus discovered the New World,

the Indians all disappeared.

If the people outside knew

about this place, the consequences...

We know what'll happen.

I'm just fulfilling my dream. All right?

I'm a scientist.

I have the means to change the fate of mankind.

Change what?

Have we not destroyed enough?

I was just looking for the bathroom.

You made her angry again.

Ren Yifei.

Listen, with your bad temper and bad virtue,

Xiaoqin is the only one who can tolerate you.

Haven't you figure that out yet?

Get out.

- Dude.

What was that?

- I told you to get out!

- Fine.

Ren Yifei, what did you say before?

You said the three of us are going to find the new Atlantis.

We're going to be adventure legends.

But now you're screwing it up.

Think about that, will you?

You are a coward.

Ren Yifei, you know what?

In order to achieve this bulshit ideal you're talking about,

she sacrificed everything.

But you, you just turn around and ran.

A man should do what he says he'll.

A useless person.

That's not the same thing.

Right? You have your pursuits.

Well, I have my own beliefs.

Belief?

Do you have the right to say that word?

You are so full of shit.

- You hear that?

The snow monster is nearby.

Mr. Henry

The mission has been given approval by General Gongge.

The coordinate position has been sent.

They're deciphering the location of the entrance

- Good.

Let's go.

Mr. Henry.

I have a brother I haven't found yet.

Mr. Taisen, let me make this very clear for you.

For this much money,

I'm not wasting even one second for progress.

So what if there are casualties?

If a few astronauts die, should we just give up the moon?

Listen up.

I love money, but not in exchange for my brother's life.

Believe it or not, I'll shoot you right now.

Okay. About your brothers, I am sorry.

But do remember, if you want great things

you must pay greatly for them.

If you want something more than what you have,

then you must take risks for it.

You have two choices right now.

One.

Kill me.

But if you do,

you and your brother are going to get nothing.

Or two, you do your job

and you'll have more money than you can spend.

But what you want to do

if you knew one doesn't survive, you can have their shit.

Think about it.

What's best for you and those that are still here?

- She is Kaya's mother, the leader of the tribe

and the most superior.

She can communicate with the snow monster.

These people regard the snow monster as a sacred beast.

On the third day of the 12th lunar month

every year they summon the beast.

Huh? Fascinating.

Hey, Xiaoqin.

It seems like you and Kaya are friends.

So introduce me to her.

Don't bother her.

Kaya is the daughter of the leader

and the best fighter here.

If you want to marry her, you have to fight her.

If you fail, one of your fingers will be cut off.

That's so sick.

Look, his name is Haba.

He is the suitor of Kaya.

- Kaya.

Go, welcome the guests.

Hey. Hey, what?

Wait a second.

Welcome, guests from afar.

They are guests from afar.

They mean no harm.

Hey.

Uncle Lin?

Open fire!

No!

Uncle Lin!

Why would you do that?

Why?

Xiaoqin, you survived unharmed.

I'm very glad to see you, but you really let me down.

You're just like your father.

You are a coward.

That snow monster contains mysterious and unknown genes.

That monster is mine.

I will take it back with me.

Take me to it. Now!

Take me to it now.

Chief! Chief!

- Take her away.

Go!

Go!

Don't move.

Xiaoqin, Uncle Lin will take you

to witness this moment of triumph.

Professor Lin, you can take me away. Just let her go.

Professor Lin!

Keep an eye on them.

The rest of you follow me.

Go!

Ren Yifei, it seems that I'm the one

that's gonna die here with you.

Huh?

Hurry up.

Number five, give me a cigarette.

Thanks buzz.

Boss.

Boss!

Something's wrong.

Where's number two?

I don't know.

Spread out!

Everyone, retreat!

Get on the rock!

Give me a gun!

Take her down.

Now!

Uncle Lin!

Uncle Lin!

- Stop wasting my time.

What is your secret?

How do you talk to the beasts?

Tell me now.

I'll count to three.

One.

Uncle Lin!

Two.

Three.

Run! Now!

They're here.

- They're here!

They're here!

Taisen! General Gongga's reinforcements have arrived!

They finally found the entrance here.

Spread out and encircle.

Activating magnetic energy sound wave. Stand by.

Uncle Lin.

You should stop

Xiaoqin, I watched you grow up.

Uncle Lin!

Do you know how long I've waited

just for this moment?

Stop it?

I won't be like your father, being a loser all my life.

I wanna ask you one last time to join me or to die.

Which will it be?

Join me or die!

Xiaoqin!

Hold on!

Just hold on!

Ren Yifei!

The egg broke.

Number Four!

Help me out!

The snow monster seems to be weakening.

Don't move.

Number Four! I owe you one.

Why are you helping them?

Xiaoqin!

Xiaoqin.

- Kaya.

My Kaya.

Welcome to come again.

Be safe.

Be safe.

Have a journey!

Welcome to come again.

Bon voyage!

Welcome to come again!

Be safe!

Come again.

Have a good journey!

Sir!

Look!
