time to start thinking
about my final.

We've always wanted to do it,

yet we have never had
the perfect location

until today.

And Burger King

just so happens to be getting in
on the action.

allowing people
to get what they want,

how they want it,
and whenever they want it.

only you rule

how you get to my final
and take home the title

of Challenge 40 champion.

With winning the elimination,

you had to choose three men
to become the new targets.

And you chose Jordan,
Cory, and Derek.

So if you're a target,

you really want to win today.

Because if you lose, you're
going straight into the Arena.

For all the women out there,
you don't want to lose either.

You will be assessed a penalty
at the next challenge.

Which reminds me, Bananas,

you will be assessed
a penalty today.

You'll get a 30-second dock.

Today's challenge
is called Fire Plunge!

[cheering, applause]

One at a time,

you will each take your place

inside this Burger King

flame-grilled-inspired
convertible.

- JORDAN: Yeah!
- When I say go,

you're gonna have
to solve a puzzle.

When you solve the puzzle,

all four lights

will light up, meaning that you
successfully hot-wired this car.

[laughs]

TJ:
This hot rod's
gonna get fired up

and go careening
off a 300-foot cliff.

[cheering]

TJ:
Once ejected,
you'll then be dropped down

into the water,

and it's a 500-meter swim

all the way to the finish.

- 500 meters?
- Swim as fast

as you can,
because this is a timed event,

and the man and woman with
the fastest time today will win

and solidify your status
as the best.

- RACHEL: Yeah.
- [cheering]

- Yeah!
- TJ: So get it done!

JORDAN:
I love to see the swim.

That's a big equalizer.

You know, the best way
to take the whole thing

into my own hands is win.

But if I don't win,
I'm gonna need Tori to win

and help keep me safe.

this is the biggest guys' day

at all costs.

In today's challenge we have to

basically hot-wire a car

and fly off a cliff
and then swim

500 meters to shore.

Jordan is a triathlon athlete,

and Derek knows he's not
gonna win this challenge.

So what's the next best thing

when you're a target? Not lose.

So I'm hoping that I can
at least do that

because I'll be able
to plead my case

on whoever wins this challenge.

JENNY:

My kids' favorite place

My kids knew how to swim

at basically six months
'cause that's how much time

we spend in the water.

So I'm gonna just book it
all the way to the finish line.

There's 12 plugs
already plugged in.

Only four of those plugs
are actually going to work

once you find
the right socket for them.

So, essentially,

However,
when it comes to the final,

a really tough time to beat.

but I used to spend some time

hot-wiring and stealing cars,

so these guys have a lot--

I'm kind of nervous,
but I'm kind of stoked, because

that they got to fly off a cliff

in a car in Vietnam?

and I'm a target.

This is a big Challenge,

it's The Challenge 40,
and becoming

the champion of
such a hugeChallenge is, like,

number one goal,
and my motivation

is my family
and knowing that I could be

the first single gay guy
to win The Challenge.

You know, there's been gay guys
that have won

with partners and teams,
but, like, to be the first,

like, individual gay guy
would be amazing.

Whatever I'm doing, I'm gonna
keep doing that because

I can see that final so close,

the sand twice,

and I haven't even
been down there once.

So, fingers crossed that I can
keep this momentum going

and I never have to see
an elimination.

and I know that I can beat

is not a weakness

that I have been able to see

When we're this close

we really do have to dig deep
