to your next challenge
on this season

of The Challenge 40:
Battle of the Eras.

First of all, Cory,

you absolutely killed it

at the elimination.

Now, with winning comes power.

You chose three targets--

Michele, Jenny, and Aviv.

Michele, Jenny, and Aviv,

if I was you,
I would win no matter what.

Because if you don't win,

you're either gonna go
into the Arena

or you're gonna go into
the Chamber and plead your case

with today's winners

as to why you should not be sent
into the Arena

to go against our loser.

Today's challenge is sick.

It is called Tight Quarters.

[groaning]

[Bananas fake gagging]

TJ:
Below us are the Cu Chi tunnels,

a massive network of tunnels
which were built

by hand during the '60s.

They stretch 75 miles in length

and range
from ten to 40 feet deep.

To begin, you're gonna start
in one of the tunnels.

When I say go, you're gonna
crawl through this tunnel.

And these tunnels are tight

and they are dark.

- KYLAND: Ooh!
- CARA MARIA: What?

TJ:
There are also rats, spiders,

bats, and fire ants.

Oh, my God.

TJ:
So, you're gonna travel
through this tunnel

all the way to the end and solve

a slider puzzle.

When you solve the puzzle,

you'll then grab a bag of blocks

and race to your next tunnel.

Now, the second tunnel is
a few football fields long,

and it is dark and it is scary.

Once you get out,

you're then gonna race over
to the finish line,

where your next puzzle will be
solved with your bag of blocks.

Finish your puzzle

and your time will be stopped.

The man and woman
to get this done the fastest

will win today's challenge

and be safe from elimination.

Or, if you're a man,
you'll be safe

from being the target
at the next challenge.

The losing woman today
is going into the Arena,

no matter what.

Losing man today,

you will get a penalty
at the next challenge.

Aviv, because you lost
the last challenge,

you are gonna be assessed
a two-minute penalty, all right?

The order for this challenge
has been randomly chosen.

to the exit and find
your final puzzle station

and it all comes

on winning and keeping

the Angels safe at all costs.
