Motoyasu?

He is searching for his party

which was separated in the battle with the Spirit Tortoise.

We have learned that one of them is in a town near Melromarc.

I see.

So what about the rest of his party?

No one knows where Mal--

As I have mentioned before,

Bitch was last seen near the northern border.

You can't smoke her out with the slave seal?

I do not know how she is preventing it, but I cannot.

And where are Ren and Itsuki?

We have yet to discover their whereabouts.

However, regarding the Sword Hero's party…

they have all been confirmed as dead.

Sir Iwatani, there is little time until the Phoenix awakens.

Please use this opportunity to convince the Spear Hero to return.

Convince him…

You can ask all you want.

I have no intention of ever making peace with them.

If the Heroes are quarreling amongst themselves, then…

for the sake of this world,

I will kill the Four Cardinal Heroes.

I can leave the domain in Eclair's hands.

I need to find Motoyasu.

Where have you all gone?

Back… together again…

Right now…

Elena… Myne…

Maintain a constant, controlled breath!

Focus your mind on the sword, all the way to the tip!

-Thanks! -Keep going!

Oh!

Naofumi!

Hey! You need to call him your lord!

Make us breakfast!

I'm hungry!

Yeah, okay, okay!

Yay!

It seems they've all grown accustomed to life here.

Yes. We'll finish the walls sooner than expected.

The trouble now is the funding for necessities and maintenance.

Any support from the kingdom?

We can't expect anything.

-Every town is having trouble rebuilding. -I see.

How did things go for you? Did Sadeena and Fohl reset their levels?

Yes, they did.

They said they needed time to recover from it,

but as you can see, they're looking perfectly fine.

Sister Sadeena and Fohl put in a lot of effort daily.

Besides stats, anything else you gain through training doesn't get reset.

Now we need to level them up to be ready for the Phoenix.

The question now is what to do after they hit their cap.

Is there anything other than training?

Probably not.

No breakfast yet?

Filo's hungry!

It's almost done, so go play over there.

Okay…

But I'm starving now!

Oh!

Your big sister's cheeks are going to fall right off!

No drinking in the morning.

I know that!

So who are you?

I am…

She's the Pierrot lady!

-Pierrot? -Filo, do you know her?

You've met her too, Master.

You should… with this.

Murder Pierrot? How did you get to this village?

-On foot? -I'm not asking the method!

-You came to eat? -Yes.

Just so you know, this isn't free food.

-This is food for the village. -Understood.

Then how about for…

I'm not asking for money.

What I mean is…

Whatever. Just get out of the village.

I… protected them… the slave hunters.

-Why? -Master Naofumi…

No. We can't trust her.

I see.

Oh, Filo, I have good news for you.

I'll tell you after breakfast.

Cart! Cart! Cart! Cart! Cart!

Filo's cart!

Yay! Yay!

All right! You two go out and level up.

I know, I know.

Okay! Your big sister will work really hard!

Disciple Rishia will train with me.

I shall join you.

Don't let any strangers into the village while I'm gone.

I know.

-Let's go. -Okay!

-Take care! -Bye-bye!

It's been quite some time since it was only the three of us.

I remember when we first started.

Yeah, I do too.

Maybe I'll do some trading on the way back.

Okay!

Why do I have to do something this menial?

This is…

Yeah.

But the Four Cardinal Heroes are our first priority.

Oh, that would be the street over there.

Thank you.

Of course. You should visit the pub on the outskirts of town.

I saw someone who looked like a Hero there.

Thanks.

He said it was around here.

Elena! You're alive!

I'm so glad! I thought I'd never see you again.

Why, if it isn't the Spear Hero.

What's wrong?

Perhaps you can tell me.

Hey, Elena, we journeyed together for so long.

Let's go out and save the world again!

My apologies, but I cannot.

Wha--

I must carry on with my family business.

Excuse me.

If you wish to have a party, you can have one at a pub.

But I'm here to ask you…

Sir Motoyasu-- no, Spear Hero,

I had reached my limit in traveling with you.

What do you…

Your fame and fortune are things of the past.

What are you now?

I'm… a Hero.

You have fallen from grace.

If you wish to travel with me, then earn your success…

like the Shield Hero did.

Naofumi?

It wasn't easy finding you, Motoyasu.

-Ah. -Hey, get back here!

Listen to me!

Motoyasu!

Damn!

Where did he go?

Beats me.

But now…

I haven't seen that face in a while.

And this is naturally on you, Shield?

But in exchange, you tell the whole truth.

I know.

Sir Motoyasu went to the Spirit Tortoise Kingdom

intending to slay it before you.

You have no need to run! I, the great Spear Hero, will slay it here and now!

Behold and recall how much stronger I am than the Shield Hero!

-Yes! -Let's go!

Zweit Hellfire!

Come on, come on, come on!

Hup!

Let's go!

Thunder Spear!

Huh?

-Sir Motoyasu! -Yeah.

Shooting Star Spear!

Lightning Spear!

Hey…

Do you think… he…

Damn you!

Honestly, I chose the wrong horse to back.

Oh, and just so you know, there's no point in capturing me.

I've delivered all my information to the palace.

What? That's the whole story.

I have one other question.

Where's the town pub?

Naofumi?

Long time no see, Ren.

Wait, wait!

I didn't come here to take you back.

Raphtalia, Filo, sorry, but could you find Motoyasu for me?

But…

The two of us need to talk.

Understood.

Okay…

Let's have a seat.

I ran into Motoyasu earlier.

He came to this town to see a member of his party.

In the end, he escaped before we could talk.

I see. Motoyasu's party survived.

I heard about your party. They--

Yeah, they all died.

I only lost because they were weak.

It's not my fault.

It's not my fault… not my fault!

Ren, my condolences about your party.

But you can still fight.

We don't have time before the Phoenix awakens.

This time, we Heroes need to come together to fight it.

Please, help me.

All right.

Then let's talk about the Phoenix--

You cannot trust the Shield Demon!

Bitch?

Did you not give me your word that you would trust only me?

I never said I would trust you.

And Motoyasu is still searching for his party.

The Spear is not worthy of the title of Hero.

I have relayed this to you previously.

From the moment I laid eyes upon you,

I was certain that you were the Hero to save the world.

And the Spear, like the Shield, forced himself upon me…

Motoyasu! That bastard!

Hey, Ren. Are you actually going to believe anything she says?

You watched the trial at the palace.

Enough of that!

-You intend to shame me again? -Excuse me?

Sir Ren, that trial was set up to change the order of succession!

Mama plotted against me with the wretched Shield to disgrace me

and put his puppet Melty upon the throne!

Wha--

And he was the puppet master

who controlled the Spirit Tortoise and murdered your party

in order to win the trust of the people!

That is the Shield Demon!

Bitch…

-So that's what happened! -Hey, Ren!

Not a single word was untrue.

The slave seal has not activated. That is the greatest proof.

What trickery is this?

-Can you trust me now? -I…

I care more for you than anyone else.

Even if the whole world were to call you a sinner, I would believe you, Sir Ren.

You fought for the sake of the world.

Bitch…

Even if you cannot trust anyone, I will trust you.

Sir Ren… No, the great Sword Hero!

-Stop this bull-- -Hold it!

Motoyasu?

What are you doing with Ren?

I've been looking everywhere for you!

Myn-- Whore!

Sir Ren, did you hear that?

He looked everywhere for me, only to call me a whore!

That is evidence that he forced himself upon me every night,

threatening to kill Papa if I did not obey!

You liar!

You'd even do that…

No, Ren! The whore is lying to you!

Trust me!

Who'd ever trust you?

…and forced me to the bed

and tore my clothes off!

If Myne didn't tell me to wait for morning and call the knights…

So you'll run away when things don't go your way?

It amazes me how naturally you can lie, Bitch.

Stay away from Myne!

Ren, think real hard about who you can trust, me or Bitch.

Shut up!

Just like Myne says, you're the root of all evil!

The reason my party died and I get flak for them is because of you!

It's all your fault!

Hm?

Ah, I see, I see.

If that's how you're going to be, then I have a word or two for you.

Your party died?

Serves you right for treating this all like a game.

-What-- -It's not your fault?

It sure is easy to make everything someone else's fault.

This world isn't a game.

People believed in you and followed you. And you…

You aren't worthy of calling yourself human, let alone a Hero.

No, I…

It's not my fault!

Sir Ren! Do not be deceived by the Shield's words!

Butt out, Bitch!

Keep your mouth shut if you don't wanna die!

You know perfectly well what the truth is.

You know exactly what you should do,

but you're averting your eyes from your failings.

-Am I wrong? -Shut up! Shut your mouth!

I'll keep saying it.

You know what the truth is.

You know what you should do right now.

I can tell right now that it isn't believing a word that bitch says.

Shut up!

It's not my fault!

Not my fault!

You're going to use a skill here?

This is for Myne.

I fight for the people who believe in me!

-Don't! -Shooting Star Sword!

Master Naofumi!

Impossible…

Sir Ren, let us leave this place at once.

Impossible! You're obviously cheating!

Face reality.

Flashing Sword!

Sir Ren!

Get off me!

After you abandoned me!

-Now! -Transport Sword!

You abandoned him.

Master Naofumi!

Are you all right?

Yeah. I'm fine, at least.

Motoyasu.

-I trusted Bitch and Elena… -Hey, Motoyasu!

This is all I ever get.

The townspeople are so cold to me. I'm sick of it.

-Is he all right? -I don't care.

Sorry, but can you check if anyone's injured?

I'm tired.

I'm alone now.

How? How did it… come to this?

I'll never trust another woman…

Filo…

Master Naofumi, what is this?

Maybe something left from when she was a Humming Fairy.

Eat this and feel better!

Ah! Filo!

Filo!

Motoyasu, if you feel better, great.

Believe in the power-up method I told you about and work on improving yourself.

Got it, Chief!

That should be everything.

What about the Spear Hero?

You saw him. He's not coming back for a while.

I'll explain the situation to the queen and go back to the village.

Filo wants to go home.

Good morning, Father!

-Father? -Yes!

I was saved by your daughter and discovered true love.

I will make her happy in this and all my future lives.

Please give me your daughter!

Let's be happy forever, Filo!

Wait--

Will you stop this?

Out of my way, you raccoon pig!

Pig?

-Let's leave right now. -Yeah!

Yeah…

Filo!

Filo?

Don't leave me!

Filo!
