- ? Monster, Monster High ?
? We might give you a fright ?
- ? Unique as can be ?
? And friends forever, literally ?
? We might walk, might swim, might fly ?
? Either way we gonna run the night ?
- ? We're Monster, Monster High ?
? Monster, Monster High ?
? We might give you a fright ?
? Monster, Monster High ?
? Friendship never dies ?
? We're Monster High ?
? Monster High-igh-igh-igh ?
[whispered] We're Monster High.
[low bassy music]
? ?
- I can't believe it, Yi-Ling.
My life has changed so much since we were at Craft Camp.
- I'm so happy for you, Draculaura.
- Now witchcraft is allowed at Monster High.
I finally get to show monsters how fangtastic witchcraft is.
- Haunt-mazing!
- But still, I miss hanging out with our witch crew.
I learned so much from you at camp.
- Oh, maybe you can stop by Beijing
when you come out to visit your mom?
- Yeah.
Or maybe you could come here for a weekend,
the first human witch at Monster High.
- [gasps] - Really?
I've been working on my monster slang
so I can hang with the freaky fabulous peeps and creeps.
- Yeah, we'll have to work on that.
- Ahem. Uh, a word, Draculaura.
- Uh, I gotta go, Yi-Ling.
- Just because witchcraft is allowed
doesn't mean human witches are.
- But--
- Superintendent Sludgerson considers this
a probationary period, so no funny business.
- Of course, Headmistress.
Witchcraft is serious business that can be used
for the good of monsterhood. - [sighs]
Based upon what I saw from you at the Monster Ball,
I hope so.
But you and I are both under Sludgerson's
super strict watch, so be careful.
Oh!
- Helping all, stop the fall!
- Oh.
Thank you, Draculaura.
That was a fine use of witchcraft.
- See?
Serious, helpful business.
- [grunting]
Locker's frozen shut again.
- I can help.
Locker lock has up and died?
Resurrect and open wide.
- Cool. Thanks, Draculaura.
- Proving this is my new cause.
Cue the good witchcraft montage.
[upbeat music]
? ?
- [belches]
- Thanks.
You know, Mrs. O'Shriek wouldn't believe
that a Garbage Goblin ate my homework--again.
- Poke and prod dragon's ire.
Page and paper resist the fire.
- Whoa! Witchcraft is awesome.
[mystical whoosh]
[speaking in reverse] - [gasps]
- [belches in reverse]
- What's going on?
Put an end to this curse, stop the world in reverse.
- [belches]
- Okay, that reverse witchcraft, not my favorite.
Why'd you do that? - I didn't.
I do helpful spells.
- So then who's doing the mis-spelling?
- I don't know! [mystical whoosh]
[screaming]
- Desk stampede!
Everybody in here!
[suspenseful music]
- Witchcraft.
Draculaura!
- [screaming]
What's going on? What's happening?
- Time for an old West round up.
Make these desks roped and bound up.
- [grunting] Ah!
Draculaura, this is not the time for miscast spells.
I cannot tolerate you bringing the desks to life.
- It wasn't me.
My spells are Craft Camp perfect.
- Regardless, the superintendent
is coming at 3:00 today
to check in on our unusual high school
without a witchcraft prohibition.
I want this inspection to go well,
but if anything is off,
it could mean stricter witchcraft rules
and no human witches allowed here ever.
[mystical whoosh] - [gasps]
My hat!
Give that back!
? ?
- Oh, whoa! Hey, stop!
- Skelita?
- Ah. Thanks. Wonky spell alert.
- Spell?
You mean you're the one doing this witchcraft?
- Yeah, I was just trying it out.
Now that witchcraft is allowed and all,
I wanted to give it a whirl.
- I've never met another monster
who likes doing witchcraft.
This is going to be fangtastic.
So are you practicing the Hamilton method?
Or do you follow the Weird Sister Way?
- Oh, I don't know.
I just kind of feel it in my bones.
Then I draw.
- You draw it?
Craft Camp didn't have any lectures on drawing...
- Then the spell.
I drew a picture both abstract and groovy.
So make with the witchcraft and bring me a smoothie.
[dull whoosh]
[glass shatters]
[splat, groan]
- [groans]
- Oops. Well, it's my first day.
- Well, no one, vampire, skeleton, or human,
starts out as a witchcraft expert.
You should have seen all the mistakes I made.
But I'll take you under my bat wing
to teach you everything I know.
- Oh, okay.
But I don't have a lot of time.
I was working on my fashion designs and--
- Lesson number one.
- Oof!
You're sure all this is necessary?
- Yes--with both of us proving how helpful witchcraft is,
the school will have to accept all witches.
Then my new friends from Craft Camp can visit Monster High.
- If I can help, I'll do my best.
- Uh, just follow me.
[upbeat music]
- [groaning]
Whoa! [objects clatter]
[groans] - Magic.
- Tragic. - Spell.
- Bell.
- Witchcraft.
- What rhymes with witchcraft?
- Arms higher.
Feet spread apart. Elbows bent.
Bones locked.
You need to be precise if you wanna be the best.
- But what if I don't want to be the best?
I was just trying witchcraft as a hobby, for fun.
- What?
You lost me.
- Since it's not against the rules anymore,
I was fooling around while I worked on a new design.
I tried reversing the stitching
and bringing my desk closer, but that didn't work.
Then I just tried a spell to get some fabric.
- It's not a hobby.
It's a serious business.
I risked everything for witchcraft.
If I hadn't been perfect,
the rule would never have been changed.
Arms higher.
- I'm sorry you had to go through that
to do something you love.
And I'm really glad you got the rule changed.
But maybe now, it's like my abuela says,
things will brighten up if we can just lighten up.
Oops.
[indistinct chatter]
[all yelp]
- [gasps]
- I'm floating, but I'm not in water.
- Not cool. - Not so hot, either.
- Announcement-- Superintendent Sludgerson
arriving in one minute.
- [grunts]
[tense music]
? ?
- Hmm.
The grass is a half inch higher than acceptable.
Headmistress Bloodgood will hear about this.
- We should have never been talking while practicing
spell casting positions.
I know better than that.
- You don't have to take all the blame.
I'm the one who said the rhyming thing.
- I have to fix it.
If Sludgerson sees all this floatiness,
witchcraft will be banned again.
Frankie. Clawdeen.
- Uh, what's up with the witchcraft today?
Ha, ha! Fun spell.
- I need you two to stall the superintendent.
Do not let her inside until I've spell-checked the school.
- You got it.
- Welcome to Monster High, Superintendent Smudgiebuns.
- That's Sludgerson.
Now, excuse me.
- Oh, not so fast.
As were-ruler, I must insist that you--
[yelps] Let me welcome you too.
- I'm doing what they taught us at camp, but it's not working.
- Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- What are you doing?
- Uh, exercising.
It's important to exercise the body and the mind.
- Okay, this is not fixing our helium headache.
I could lose witchcraft forever.
What do I do? - Or what do we do?
Look, I know I'm new at this and my style isn't like yours,
but can I at least try to help?
- With witchcraft art?
Well, yes.
Thank you, Skelita.
- Good, 'cause I have an idea.
It might not be perfect, but it still might work.
I drew my spell for what it's worth,
so bring this student down to earth.
- [yells, groans]
- Yeah! Gravity!
- [laughs] Way to slay it.
But how do we get all the rest of them down in time?
[upbeat music]
- So you're not into dancing, but how about limbo?
Everybody limbo.
- Enough of this ghoulishness.
I'm going inside.
- Oh, it's not perfect.
Definitely not as good as yours.
- No.
But it's just what we need.
both: We drew our spell for what it's worth,
so bring these students down to earth.
[all yelp]
- [laughs] - [gasps]
- What in the name of Medusa's left snake is going on here?
- We can explain,
- Oh, maybe not.
- I am appalled that students are lying about
in the middle of the night.
I expected witchcraft shenanigans, but not this.
- Superintendent.
They are, uh, taking a little study break.
Some R&R-- rest and reincarnation.
- Hmm, well, teens being lazy is an affliction
that affects many school districts.
I suppose witchcraft can't be blamed for that.
- Yes. I mean no.
I mean, this way.
- I'm sorry I tried to make you do witchcraft
the way I learned it at Craft Camp.
Guess they didn't teach us there are all sorts
of fangtastic ways of doing it.
- Apology accepted.
And thank you for all you did
so that now I can just do witchcraft for fun
and not worry about being expelled.
- Aw, it's cool that you can do it as a hobby.
- And it's cool that it's your whole thing.
- Help. My locker's frozen again.
- Absolutely, Abbey.
- [yelps] Uh, hey, Draculaura,
could I get your expert opinion on something?
- You know, it's really great to see
all kinds of witchcraft around school.
Watch out!
[both grunting]
[eerie music]
? ?
[phone buzzing] [wolves howling]
- [yawns] Hmm?
[gasps] It's Friday the 13th, Crescent!
- [barking]
- And Mom and I are celebrating,
just the two of us, like always.
Yeah! - [barking]
- You know, it's been different being here
with Clawdeen and Dad.
Good, but it's weird.
Even though there are more of us,
sometimes it feels lonelier.
Like Mom and me aren't, well, Mom and me anymore.
But not today, 'cause Friday the 13th is our holiday.
[upbeat music]
Buenos das, Mam. Merry unlucky...
both: Friday the 13th.
- [sniffing] Oh, look.
- I baked strawberry cake.
- Mam!
[speaking Spanish]
Nuh-uh! No strawberries.
We eat spiderberry cake.
- Humans are not into spiderberries, mijo.
Now, to blow out the candles... - [inhales deeply]
- Our new were-ruler
and best daughter ever, Clawdeen.
- Yeah! - Whoo!
- Clawdeen, you're supposed to leave one candle burning.
- But that's unlucky. - Exactly.
In Beheme, Friday the 13th is a celebration
of things that are bad luck.
- Whoops. Sorry, Clawd.
I'm sure Dad and I will get the hang of your Beheme stuff
by the end of the day. - Yeah.
Uh, bring on the bad luck.
- But Mam, you said
we were gonna do it traditional, tu y yo.
- Oh, it'll be fun to figure out new traditions
with the whole family.
It can't all stay the same anyway.
We won't have any carnivorous black caterpillars
to cross our path here.
We'll have to settle for a black cat,
as if those could be unlucky.
Although, I did bring some pest egg samples
for your dad to study.
Maybe one is a black caterpillar.
- At least the cake's good.
- Oh, throwing salt over your shoulder's unlucky, right?
[splat]
- Ugh.
- No, Dad.
The salt thing is to ward off bad luck.
Unlucky is opening umbrellas inside.
[splat] Ooh.
Sorry, bro.
- Well, more room for my Friday the 13th special tamales.
- Ooh, tamales and sushi.
- Dad, ew.
Sushi's the last thing anyone wants to eat with tamales.
- When your mom and I were dating,
we went to these food trucks.
The sushi truck was next to the tamale truck.
- And we'd order both and share.
- Can we do full-moon pancakes too?
- Full-moon pancakes?
- They're just regular pancakes,
but it's fun to call them full-moons.
- Yes--Dad and Clawdeen can go to the grocery store
to get the ingredients we need.
Off you go!
Meet you later, okay, bye.
Now it's just Mom and me.
[yelps] - Anyone seen Dad's car keys?
- You think that raccoon might have taken them again?
- No!
[phone buzzing] [wolves howling]
[yawns] Hmm?
Huh? Weird dream.
It's Friday the 13th, Crescent! - [barking]
[intriguing music]
? ?
Buenos das, Mam.
Merry unlucky...
both: Friday the 13th.
- [sniffing] Oh, look.
- I baked strawberry cake.
- Now, to blow out the candles,
our new were-ruler
and best daughter ever, Clawdeen.
- Yeah. - Whoo-hoo!
- Uh, I--huh? Um... - You okay?
Wouldn't want you to miss out
on Friday the 13th with everybody.
- A do-over?
I'm fine.
But Dad and Clawdeen will have to miss out.
Because my werewolf hearing hears a leak in the basement.
- Not again.
Well, good thing Clawdeen and I have this repair job down.
Come, on Sweetie-Pups. - Right behind you, Dad.
Though we wouldn't have to do this so often
if you just called a plumber.
- Okay, Mom, let's go. - What? Why?
- Grab your ear hiding hat and--what?
There's no way you checked all the pipes.
- Yeah. We have a system. - And all clear.
Your were-hearing must be off.
So now we can come with you.
- [groans] Aw.
[wolves howling] [gasps]
What in the underworld is going on?
The day's repeating, Crescent.
I'm in a time loop?
I'm in a time loop.
The day always restarts when Dad and Clawdeen
come back to ruin Friday the 13th.
So that means I just have to make sure
they leave Mom and me alone. But how?
I'm sure I can come up with something
to get rid of Dad and Clawdeen for the day.
- ? Stuck in a loop ?
- I baked strawberry cake.
- Dad, Clawdeen, you won concert tickets.
But they have to be picked up today.
[yelps]
- Anyone seen Dad's car keys?
- You think that raccoon might have taken them again?
- ? Oh-oh, oh-oh ?
? Here we go again ?
- [gasps]
[wolves howling]
[groans]
Dad, Clawdeen.
Those tennis rackets you wanted are on sale.
[groans]
[wolves howling]
- ? Here we go again ?
- Dad, Monster High called, and they need
a human substitute teacher stat.
Clawdeen will take you there. [grunts]
[wolves howling] [gasps]
[groans]
- ? Ooh, feels like I'm circling straight ?
? Feels like I'm circling straight ?
? It's running circles in the brain ?
? Running circles in the brain ?
? I don't want no part of this ?
? Someone let me off of this ?
? Round and round we go ?
? Stuck in a loop ?
- Are you sure?
- ? I'm stuck in a loop, yeah ?
? I'm stuck in a loop ?
? Stuck in a loop, yeah ?
? I'm stuck in a loop ?
? I'm stuck in a loop, yeah ?
? I'm stuck in a loop ?
? Stuck in a look, yeah ?
? I'm stuck in a loop ?
- Anyone seen Dad's car keys?
- You think that raccoon might have taken them again?
- No!
[phone buzzing] [wolves howling]
Okay, this loop will be the last loop.
Whatever it takes.
I know how to take care of Dad and Clawdeen for the day.
The last bottle of the Mrs. Wolf and Son bug spray
that Mom and I used to sell in Beheme.
Trap that pest with the best.
Our forcefield spray will keep annoying pests at bay.
Results guaranteed. - [whines]
- I'm desperate here.
I tried everything else. And don't worry.
It doesn't hurt Dad and Clawdeen.
It will just keep them from bothering Mom and me
while we do Friday the 13th our way.
And it wears off in a few hours.
Good morning, Mam. Your iCoffin's ringing.
It's in your bedroom.
- Oh, better go check that.
- I baked strawberry cake.
[curious music]
- What in the world?
- Clawd?
- Yes! It worked.
Nothing to worry about. Be right back.
- My iCoffin wasn't--
- Come on, we're gonna celebrate
Friday the 13th our way.
Just gotta get our ear hiding hats--
- [sniffs] Strange.
Thought I smelled our Mrs. Wolf and Son bug spray.
[sniffing]
- Nope.
No energy bubble, pest trapping bug spray here.
We should go. Forget the hats.
No, no, no! - Hey, Clawd? My main man?
What's this bubble thing?
- Only the best pest trapping spray in Beheme.
Then you can trap a pest without worrying
about it stinging, and release it back into the wild.
- And I may have accidentally trapped the whole house in it.
But I have to be able to break through.
[warbling]
- Clawd--
- I'm busy trying to get us out of here, Dad.
- Which I fully support.
But what's that on your shoulder?
- What are you talking about?
- I don't see anything.
His shoulder is fine.
- It's right there.
Glowing big chompers, not like anything
I've ever seen before.
- Remember how I brought some egg samples from Beheme?
I bet one of them hatched, and it was a celos bug.
It camouflages itself with a glow
undetectable by werewolf eyes, but not human eyes.
- A celos bug? Is it dangerous?
- It feeds on bitter blood.
The bug's bite creates a time loop so it can create
more bitterness and keep feeding.
- Bitter blood? What?
I'm not bitter.
- Ah, it's too fast for me.
- We'll catch it. Be our eyes, Dad.
[upbeat music]
- It's in the living room.
By the couch. Now it's on the ceiling.
[both grunt]
In the dining room. It's on the table.
Right there, right there!
It's on your left, Selena.
Ah, sorry. My left. I mean, my right.
It's right over your heads.
[both grunting]
Clawdeen, swing to the left.
The painting.
Table!
Right there.
Toward me.
There, there, there!
[all laugh]
? ?
- Is it weird to say this is actually kind of fun?
- That way.
Now it's by you, Clawd.
- Ow.
- It's coming right for you, Clawd.
And it looks bitey.
- It's me you want.
You must be able to pick up on my vibes.
I'm glad to be home,
but I had built a life in Beheme too.
I may be a little bitter about all
that work not mattering here.
- Oh!
I might have had some bitter blood when Clawd arrived.
I never had to share my dad before.
- [gasps] It's getting confused.
- And here was Clawd, with all his great stories
and funny jokes.
- Stop.
The bug's after me.
I wanted today to be just me and Mom,
so I've been trying to keep Dad and Clawdeen
from celebrating Friday the 13th with us.
But even if we didn't get to do our traditional stuff,
fighting this bug with you was kind of fun.
- Oh, it calmed down.
You must not be so bitter anymore.
Right there, Clawdeen.
- I've missed our time together, too, Clawd.
- Then how about Clawd and Mom do their Friday the 13th thing,
and Dad and I will celebrate the way we always used to--
by doing nothing. - Great idea.
That is, after the energy field wears off.
- I'd like that.
But I'd also like if everyone meets up
for some tamales after.
And Sushi. And pancakes!
- Mmm. Pancakes. [laughter]
[upbeat music]
? ?
- I hope Mom and Clawd are having fun.
[both laughing]
[phone buzzing] [wolves howling]
- The 14th. [sighs]
- I made pickle waffles.
- Dad. Ew.
What is up with you and the weird food combos?
- Honey, the pickles might be a step too far.
- Mmm.
It's actually kind of genius, Dad.
- Ow!
- Oh, My car keys.
[upbeat music]
