We're gonna nominate Cory and Jonna.

-NIA: I think it's the wrong decision. -MICHELE: I also disagree

and think it is the wrong decision.

We just built this relationship with Era Three.

Why would we start to go back on that?

You guys made it something it wasn't.

I've never been against you...

-I know. -...and you do this. Why?

What the (bleep)?

RACHEL: I'm pissed now.

Honestly, I am pissed.

Every single week,

Era One is going straight into the Arena.

Uh-oh.

DERRICK: Keep moving, Tina!

-DEVIN: Keep calm, keep calm. -Oh, my God. Oh, my God!

Let's (bleep) go!

RACHEL: This loss leaves

Derrick and I against the house,

and I am the only woman left in Era One.

Kyland and Michele,

I need you to select the new targets.

Era One, obviously, is gonna be Derrick and Rachel.

-KYLAND: I pick Cara tonight. -MICHELE: Derek, I'm sorry.

-I'm gonna have to say you. -TJ: Era Three.

-AVEREY: Yeah, pick me. -TJ: Who's gonna be the target for the guys?

-MICHELE: I'm sorry, Cory. -CORY: It's Devin's turn to step up.

Do your turn. That's what we agreed on, right?

-TJ: Era Four. -KYLAND: Jenny, I'm sorry.

-THEO: The one-eyed warrior. -BANANAS: Era One, there's two players left.

But this monstrosity

of an alliance that has been created

between Era Three and Four, it is a ticking time bomb.

(contestants shouting)

DERRICK: I'm staring at three red giants,

and I'm thinking, "Here goes nothing."

TORI FIORENZA: Three-on-one, Tyler, knock his ass off!

-CARA MARIA: Good job, Michele. -(applause)

DEREK: The elimination was insane.

Era One now is just Derrick and Rachel,

and now I'm a target, but Era Two's

actually pretty strong still.

Our team has been in second place consistently,

so it's not like we're losing.

Let's see how far we can get

before we actually have to get our-our nails dirty.

RACHEL: And then...

-there were two. -Ah.

-Nobody else. -I couldn't be happier

to be at the end here with--

The end? Did I just say that? The end?

-This is just the middle. -We're taking it on, though.

-We're taking it on now. -Yeah. It's like,

"H-How many eliminations can we win this season?"

-Set a world record? I don't know. -Yeah.

RACHEL: I am now the last woman in Era One,

but I am one of the queens of The Challenge.

-TORI HALL: Come on, Rachel! -BRAD: There you go.

(screaming)

-TJ: Great job, Rachel. -BRAD: Yeah!

DERRICK: Or we could just magically win

-the next challenge. -I agree.

I think it's happening.

My leg is not doing well,

but I love playing the game.

And, uh, I'm gonna see how far I can push myself.

I'm gonna see how far the body can go

without completely breaking.

JENNY: I've heard my name three times down there now,

and some people have not heard their name once.

All I ever hear is, "Jenny, Jenny, Jenny, Jenny."

It's like, "(bleep), guys, I get it.

"You don't give a (bleep) about me.

Thank you." That's what it feels like.

I know I'm at the (bleep) bottom of the pecking order

in this group, and it doesn't feel good.

KAYCEE: Jenny really does take this game personally.

She always latches onto, like, "Oh, I have

no relationships." I mean, that-- yeah,

you genuinely don't have a lot of relationships

and you don't talk game with people.

When it comes to decision-making,

people will choose people

that they don't really talk to.

If you want to make sure

that your ass is saved and not to be picked,

make connections.

(scoffs)

I got to remember, I'm with a bunch of rookies.

Ugh, Era Four. (chuckles)

Don't hold anybody to any standard,

because they're not gonna do it for you.

JENNY: People screw people over in this game

on a daily basis,

so you can make all the little connections

and plans that you want with people,

but I don't even think 60% of them see the light of day.

MICHELE: Start playing the game in a way

that is gonna be good for you.

NEHEMIAH: Era One is done.

Have we ever seen a whole team wiped out?

Might have to do it. It's a possibility.

(laughs)

-Damn. -The thing is,

I think Era Three is basically locked in with Era Two

because of Averey and Derek.

I think, if you win,

if we win

-or if One wins, you should be good. -Mm-hmm.

NEHEMIAH: When we look around right now,

Era Two, we don't really feel like a team.

I feel like we're almost like Destiny's Child,

like, right when they broke up, you know?

It's like, we're on stage,

but we don't really get along,

but we're still singing the songs

'cause that's what the people want.

But my connection's on Era Three,

with Cory and Nia.

So if Two and Three can stay safe,

that means that One and Four

could start to battle each other,

and my people could

avoid elimination this time around.

We knew this is what it was gonna be.

The whole "Era Three and Era Four,

we're supposed to work together" benefits everybody but me.

I'm not in the vacation alliance.

No. Abandon ship.

I'm working with Era Two,

'cause I know my partner's attached to Derek C.,

and we already saw what Averey did

last time when she was a target

and Derek C. was on the other side.

My connections for my game are Era Two.

TJ: Tony, Averey, who's it gonna be?

Uh, we're at a stalemate.

So therefore, Derek C.,

me and you, we're tied to the hip, too.

I'm cool with it, how it's all playing out.

LAUREL: I can't believe that we don't have our targets on.

That band felt like a (bleep) best friend

at a, at a certain point.

BANANAS: I just need a purple piece of something to put on my arm,

just so I feel at home.

-BANANAS: You moving? -RYAN: Yeah.

RYAN: Listen, this isn't my first rodeo,

and this isn't my first time dealing with

a (bleep) pair of dickheads in my lifetime.

I don't want to listen

to Laurel's cackling Wicked Witch of the West laugh.

Oh, my God. (laughs)

And honestly, how many hours a day

can we listen to Bananas talk about himself?

BANANAS: Laurel, I'm sorry, but I think I'm gonna move

into that room, too.

-God, you're such a dick. -BANANAS: I haven't really done

anything all that impressive over the years...

...other than do the most seasons, win the most seasons.

(scrambled voice)

the greatest Challenge podcast out there. It's actually...

(scrambled voice)

...robbing my partner blind of over

a quarter million dollars on top of a mountain in Argentina.

It's like, bro, we're middle-aged now.

Like, we get it. You won. Good for you, buddy.

BANANAS: This one-- I think this one's perfect for me.

(laughs)

The relationship that I have with Ryan took a turn

when Nicole and I

had a falling-out.

Admit to what you did.

You need to take accountability.

-I'm-a hold on. -I'm only taking accountability to walking away

from a situation that I'm not comfortable in.

Ryan blamed me, essentially, for Nicole texting him nonstop.

And it's unfortunate because, you know,

I don't want to be somebody that throws away a friendship.

Guys, I'm gonna shut it down for the evening.

-RYAN: You're such a dick. -(Laurel laughs)

If it's some kind of race

where everyone from your team

has to complete the race,

Derrick and Rachel, those two just have to complete the race.

And for us, we have to have six people com--

What-what are you doing?

-AVIV: The thing Tori does. -Oh, okay. Nice.

-It's like, it's very sexual, but it works. -(laughter)

In general, I think having relationships in this game

is gonna always complicate things,

but with Michele and Devin, the interesting thing is

they're not on the same team, so it's a little bit

different dynamic than Theo and Olivia,

who can work together.

Your girlfriend is so cute.

DEVIN: Absolute queen. Just saying.

MICHELE: I mean, thank you.

(Aviv laughs)

DERRICK: We don't have much

of a play left in this game, right?

So it's, like, the one thing that we know,

that Eras Two and Three are gonna

look out for each other 100%.

-Yeah. -And so, that just means

that we might as well just do the same thing.

Yeah.

DERRICK: My leg is still not doing well,

and me and Rachel are out of cards.

So, is it possible

that there is a glimmer of hope left

in us staying in this game by reaching out

to Era Four and looking out for a deal?

-If you don't have any deals... -I have no deals or ties

-to hardly anyone, so... -Okay, it's either

gonna be us going in or them going in.

-Okay, cool. -THEO: I'm a target, Jenny's a target.

Derrick and Rachel are sitting by themselves at the moment,

they got no backup.

No one's approached me to team up.

So you know what they say, if they're not working with you,

they're working against you,

so I'm gonna take Derrick's deal.

All right.

CARA MARIA: Looking down the line at targets,

I'm thankful that Derek is my teammate

because people like him,

and one of those people is Laurel.

So maybe I'm good there.

But then, Averey's a target,

which is good, because she sacrificed herself

for Derek already; she'll look out for him.

Then there's Theo.

I 100% want to show him how I have his back.

If we win, there's gonna be more than a battle

that we're having today, that's for sure.

It's gonna be tough, but that's why

they call it The Challenge.

(contestants shouting)

CARA MARIA: This looks cool.

(contestants oohing)

MICHELE: Oh, my God.

TJ: All right, everyone, welcome to your next challenge

here in beautiful Vietnam on this season

of The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras.

(cheering)

Well, after 24 years...

...my favorite movie of all time,

Gladiator...

...is coming back.

(cheering)

-(whoops) -JENNY: Wow!

That's cool.

DERRICK (laughs): Oh!

Yes.

TJ: Gladiator II is coming to theaters this November,

directed by Sir Ridley Scott.

(whoops)

The new film brings us back to the arenas of ancient Rome

with an extraordinary all-star cast,

including Denzel Washington, Connie Nielsen, Paul Mescal,

Joseph Quinn and Pedro Pascal.

(applause, cheering)

-Yeah! -(whoops)

And before I tell you about today's challenge,

let's take a very special look at Gladiator II.

MACRINUS: Did you hear that crowd?

The greatest temple Rome ever built, the Colosseum.

TRAINER: The arena turns slaves into gladiators,

then gladiators into free men.

-You will be my instrument. -Who are you?

MACRINUS: Rome must fall.

I need only give it a push.

Is this how Rome treats its heroes?

♪♪ ♪♪

(cheering)

Having it be a gladiator challenge, totally badass.

In the movie Gladiator,

teamwork makes the dream work,

and Era Three's got that.

TJ: Now, being a real gladiator

isn't just about being the biggest and most powerful.

It's about skill, bravery and strategy

to fight your way to the top.

You are all gladiators in our eyes.

-Yes. -JOSH: Yes.

But for now, you're gonna have to work alongside your era

and your shield to get the win in today's contest.

Today's challenge is called Battle for Honor.

When I say go, you're gonna be entering the ring

with your eras.

The objective is crystal clear:

to be the last era standing.

But here's the twist:

you're gonna have to use those Roman army-inspired shields

to send your opponents...

flying into that water.

You get pushed into the water, and it's lights out.

(laughs)

Strategy is everything today.

It's all about precision, power and teamwork.

So there'll be rounds for men and rounds for women,

so everyone gets their shot at glory.

-Mmm. -(whistles)

TJ: This will be a timed event.

Each round will last 20 minutes,

and the team with the most gladiators left standing

will win and take the power into the Chamber.

Are you not entertained?

(cheering)

DEVIN: I'm a gladiator.

-(laughs) -And I previously had a life in the Roman army.

And so I'll be utilizing the skills

from that here today.

Era Four is ready to come together

as, like, our own Roman army.

JENNY: It's quite evident that Era Two and Three

are clubbing together, I think we all know that.

So, um, we've adopted Rachel and Derrick into Era Four today

to even out the numbers a little bit.

DERRICK: I don't know how long this leg is gonna hold up,

and I'm by myself, so I'm kind of scared (bleep) right now.

RACHEL: Looks like Era Four is gonna be our best shot

to not get last place.

Kind of like the gladiator, you can never count us out,

no matter what the odds are.

DERRICK: For my legacy, this is the one that I need.

CARA MARIA: Go for green!

CORY: This is why you come here, to be a gladiator.

AVEREY: They look badass.

Gladiators, ready?

MICHELE: Get him!

-(air horn blows) -Go.

MICHELE: Go!

-(shouting) -Go, go, go!

-Go! -TORI: Get him!

MICHELE: Take that, Cory!

LAUREL: You guys, help Johnny.

This is going to come down

to Era Two and Three working together.

Derrick on Era One is super smart.

He's staying really far away from the game, unlike Ryan.

I don't think Ryan even knows what the hell is going on.

LAUREL: Ooh!

Nice work. Nice work.

MICHELE: Help Theo!

TORI: Cory, get him!

CARA MARIA: Get Theo's back!

CORY: We're working with Era Two.

We've already seen the Averey and Derek C. connection,

but we don't have a lot of time,

so, Theo, I'm coming for you.

We gotta get Era Four out of here.

TORI: Nice, Cory, get Theo's back.

MICHELE: Help Theo!

OLIVIA: Josh, get Theo's back.

MICHELE: Theo, get away from the edge right now.

(pained groan)

Today's challenge is called Battle for Honor.

Two heats. It is a timed event.

The last era standing on the platform wins today.

-OLIVIA: Kyland, get in there. -AVIV: Nice, Cory.

MICHELE: Era Two and Era Three are working together.

So, if one of those two teams wins,

they're gonna save each other.

That means we're working with Era One, I guess.

Help Theo!

OLIVIA: Josh, help your teammates!

Get Devin!

Watching the guys fight,

I feel like my muscles are like, right at this moment,

the blood is pumping and I'm excited to kick some ass today.

MICHELE: Josh, Josh, help Kyland.

-Get him! -Go!

MICHELE: Keep going. Come on.

I don't know who hit me,

let alone the birds that are flying around my head right now,

but I'm not dead, so we'll keep going.

I think I look better.

MICHELE: Guys, come on. You can't stop.

You gotta go faster.

OLIVIA: Give your life for them!

-(clattering swords) -(Roman horns blowing)

Boom! You can feel the earth shake.

(grunting)

-MICHELE: Go! -(grunts)

(groaning)

THEO: We're warriors.

RYAN: This is a classic battle of the eras.

(grunting)

-Josh, help! Get over there! -Someone help Johnny.

MICHELE: Get him!

TJ: All right, Bananas is out. Keep going.

MICHELE: Derek needs help, Derek needs help.

OLIVIA: Derek needs help, Derek needs help.

TJ: All right, Derek's out.

(overlapping shouting)

AVEREY: Devin, you got to push him out.

(grunting)

MICHELE: Watch out, guys!

Cory's teeing off on me,

but as much as I'm injured,

I say bring it on.

That's the gladiator mentality that I'm bringing to the table.

(grunts)

MICHELE: Yeah, Nehemiah!

Nice, Nehemiah!

Guys, come on.

CORY: Right now, the minutes are just ticking by.

And Devin suggests, hey, why don't you make a deal with Theo

and see what you could get out of it.

"Let me get this win.

Give it to me and you're safe."

Would he really be safe? Probably not.

THEO: Unfortunately for Cory,

I've already said to Derek that he's off the table.

So I can't make a promise to two guys.

MICHELE: All right, get him!

Nice job, Cory!

Get him now, Cory!

Yeah, Cory! Help Theo.

-RYAN: Yeah, come on, Devin! -Kyland, get in there.

Theo has, at one point, six guys on him,

dragging him down, and I'm like,

damn, is that what you're made of?

Because I'll take it..

TJ: Theo, you got to stand up. Get up!

Get up!

MICHELE: Help Theo!

-(air horn blows) -Theo's out.

Let's go. You got one minute. Come on!

(air horn blows)

Get the (bleep) out of here.

CORY: I'm here to compete.

And I think I showed all these guys here today

that I'm not to be messed with.

I want to get physical. I used to play football.

It just-- It's in me..

I got to let this out somehow.

DERRICK: Talk about not being able to finish a game, Cory.

-I felt (bleep) bad for you. -So what?

Although I'm not a target, we need Averey here,

and we need Cory here so that way, we can stay strong

and keep passing this target around.

In a game like this,

you cannot be afraid to step up

and put yourself in a position of risk,

because sometimes that will pay off.

NEHEMIAH: It's green and blue against pink.

RYAN: Aviv, stay with green.

-(air horn blows) -Go.

DEREK: Come on! Get them!

RYAN: Come on, green! Come on, blue!

-JOSH: Let's go! -DEVIN: Hit her!

RYAN: Nice!

DERRICK: Come on, blue!

(grunting)

JOSH: Kill each other!

BANANAS: Yes!

I played women's tackle football.

I love contact.

But it is a race against time

to get rid of Era Two and Era Three.

JORDAN: Look at that hustle, Nia.

(grunting)

TJ: Whoa, Kaycee!

(cheering)

TJ: All right, she's out. She's out.

AVEREY: This challenge today is super physical,

and I will not (bleep) up my moneymaker.

I need this face.

I model. I bartend.

Please, for the love of God, do not (bleep) up my face.

JOSH: Rip her head off!

Yeah!

(overlapping shouting)

Kill each other!

TJ: All right, Averey's out.

All of a sudden, I am the last girl from Era Three,

and my only thought is "hide."

BANANAS: Everyone get Tori!

JORDAN: Tori, you gotta move! Come on!

You gotta move, Tori!

(overlapping shouting)

KYLAND: There you go, Kaycee!

JENNY: Not one girl

is trying their luck with me,

so I'm kind of just set there, like,

"Is anyone gonna try it with me?"

'Cause I'm ready to (bleep) knock some bitches out.

TJ: Attack!

(overlapping chatter)

TJ: Michele, you gotta get up!

CARA MARIA: Tori's hanging by the edge.

I don't see her on anybody's radar.

And I'm like, no way.

I'm a target,

and Era Two can't afford to lose one player,

or I'm absolutely going into the elimination.

Let's go!

JOSH: One on one! Tori and Cara!

Rip her (bleep) head off!

(indistinct shouting)

I see Cara's eyes locking on mine,

I see her whispering to Rachel,

then whispering to Laurel, and I'm like,

"Oh, they're about to come for me!"

JOSH: There we go!

(overlapping shouting)

So, I just run up to her and give her a little

bop and let her know where it's at,

because if she really wants to smoke, we can go at it.

JOSH: Here we go!

(overlapping shouting)

Help Maria!

I just need Laurel

to help me with Tori.

THEO: Go for it, Jenny!

TJ: Go, go, go.

LAUREL: Even though Cara Maria and I

have just not seen eye to eye,

Cara is a target,

and time is running out.

So, if Cara wants to go for something,

then I will have your back, and I will whack them

with my shield with you.

Right now, I need to keep my ass in the game

so that way, my era doesn't get sent

directly into elimination.

TJ: Let's go! You got one minute!

Come on!

(overlapping shouting)

(cheering)

AVIV: These girls

are huge. They're big.

TJ: Keep going!

AVIV: So, I'm just trying to survive

and, you know, push where I can push,

'cause I feel like a gladiator.

(overlapping shouting)

TJ: Let's go!

(air horn blows)

TJ: All right, that's it!

Good work, Four. Good work, Four.

JOSH: Good job.

TJ: I thought I was

watching the movie. I'm looking at a bunch

-of gladiators right now. -(cheering)

TJ: Well done.

-Good work, guys. -(whooping)

TJ: After two rounds, the era

with the least amount of players

still standing was Era One.

I'll be seeing you in the Arena.

Wow...

TJ: As for the rest of you,

the era with the most amount

of players still standing...

was Era Four.

(cheering)

-I (bleep) love you guys. Thank you. -(bleep) word.

Thank you.

DERRICK: I've just established

a new rapport with Theo,

but we lost,

so we're going in anyway.

Bring on the fire.

After beating Horacio...

KYLAND: One under, D!

-...and Mark... -Got it! Done!

...the heart of the lion still lives inside of me.

I feel like I could beat anybody.

Even with the hurt leg.

TJ: Theo and Jenny,

as the targets of Era Four,

you are the only targets safe

from elimination, and now you will be

taking the head of the table in the Chamber

and hearing from Era Two's

Derek and Cara Maria,

and Era Three's Cory and Averey,

as to why they should not be sent into the Arena

against Rachel and Derrick from Era One.

Got it? Get out of here. Good job today, everyone.

JOSH: Good work, everyone. Good stuff.

JENNY: This is

the best feeling ever.

You know, I've got the power

now, in deliberation,

and to hear Rachel out,

hear Derek out,

and give them a matchup that they want.

You know, Rachel has had

a really hard time in here,

and I see a strong woman in front of me

who plays a clean game, and I have a lot of

respect for that. So hopefully,

Rachel can look out for me

at some point in the future.

(Jenny cheering)

THEO: Once again.

Come here, girl.

Well done.

RYAN: What are you gonna say?

(sighs) I mean,

I'm not gonna talk (bleep) about Cory,

and he's the same way, too.

-Yeh. -Like, he's gonna let Averey

work it, because,

you know, he wants to save her. Which I do, too.

Right.

DEREK: This chamber is kind of tricky

because, as much as I want to save Averey

and make sure that I repay

my debt to her...

Is there any way

that you would say Derek's name?

No.

...if I was in power, yes, I would save Averey,

but, unfortunately,

we didn't get that, and now,

our lives are in the hands of Theo and Jenny.

I'm not throwing her under the bus.

I want to say as little as possible.

Hopefully Cara can--

-for this Chamber. -Yeah.

DEREK: It just sucks either way,

regardless of who goes in.

(bleep)

AVEREY: Three's had Four's back this whole time.

I know that they threw you in.

You could say that to Jenny.

This would be a great time for you

to extend the olive branch...

-Mm-hmm. -...to prove to us

-that Four can be trusted. -Mm-hmm.

And then we go from there, and we get back on track.

DEVIN: There's a lot of misinformation being spread,

people saying there were deals pre-Challenge that were made,

and what actually comes out

is that Era One and Era Four had a deal

because they were under the assumption

that Averey and Derek already had a deal

for both their eras.

Three has saved Four.

CORY: Yeah, and then, Four voted me in.

-Yep. -DEVIN: "This could be a way

"to get me on your side

"moving forward versus having me

-as an enemy moving forward." -And that's how,

that's basically how I'm gonna word it.

DEVIN: Era Three and Era Four

won five of seven challenges.

Theo and Jenny, might be time

to start working together here.

We can just go back and forth

winning and saving each other.

I want to see all of Era Two squirm.

Ryan, Derek, Bananas.

And this is the retribution tour

on its first stop.

You go down there and come back, and it would be,

it would have to be, an all-out assault.

CORY: 100%.

CARA MARIA: I don't politic. It feels fake.

Like, I know my connection with Theo,

and even though Theo did send Paulie home,

I think he's got my back,

and I am fighting to stay in this game.

And any chance that you have

to not go into elimination

is another step closer you are to the final.

Time starts, guys.

Era Two, Three, you want to go first?

I do respect both of you guys as players.

I have no malice towards either one of you.

For you, Jenny, with Cory,

I do know that you have

said Cory's name and you've thrown him in,

which... that's fine.

I think that this would be a perfect opportunity

to extend that olive branch and to get, like,

Three and Four back where

we had originally kind of agreed,

as a unit.

I think that would be a perfect opportunity

to start making amends and repairing that bridge.

I know Three has looked out for Four

in the past, and,

you know, if you want to keep that going,

we totally can.

-Okay. -AVEREY: Cory, is there

anything you want to add?

I'll let Derek go.

DEREK: Obviously, I'm not going to throw,

like, anybody under the bus. I'm not that type of person.

But I know it's a numbers game,

and I know that we all have

friends on every side,

and I'm not gonna be one of tho--

I'm not gonna be a player that's gonna be like,

"Hey, I can promise you this if this,"

because we don't know if this is gonna be

the same situation again.

AVEREY: Hey, Derek, I saved you.

Here's your chance to actually say,

"I want to repay Averey. Send me in."

Like, dude, come on.

Every person in this team held it down

and secured the win.

But even so,

we're still as mad at both teams at the same time,

but more backstabbing has happened from team three,

we believe. But, overall...

absolutely hammering you guys.

MICHELE: We are basically, potentially, injuring Three.

Then we've taken two shots at a team

that, at least we have a shot of them saving us,

and instead, we're...

THEO: But they just tried to make us lose.

Jordan was coming for me,

Cory was relentless on me the whole time.

They just showed how they're not helpful to us anyway.

Basically, what happened is that they came up to us

pretty much definitively that they wanted...

when Two wins, they're good.

They're not thinking about what it's like for me...

A little tricky being blindfolded,

but I'm happy with what I see.

I think that she took a lot of blows

to pull something off in this round,

because I cannot lose her.

(cheering, whooping)

-Are you doing okay? -Yeah, yeah, I'm good.

Daddy's ready.

TJ: What do we do with Era One?

All right, Rachel,

looks like no one's up there for you to nominate,

so head back up there.

Solo mission.

DEVIN: Hey!

Go, Rachel!

-Solo mission. -(whoops)

I'm confused. How is this gonna work?

Era One has one person.

This is crazy. And we're still moving forward.

The math ain't mathing, TJ.

And Cory, go ahead and rejoin Era Three.

CORY: Ooh, by the skin of my teeth.

TJ: So we have our targets set.

They're all heavy hitters.

All right. Get out of here.

RACHEL: I am a target again.

I am a team of one.

I now have to beat the entire house in order to keep myself

out of the Arena.

And it's feeling like I have momentum.

And even though I am a team of one,

I feel like I have the support of the other eras,

but this game can change in a second.

I knew there was gonna be a 50/50 chance,

but once I got in there and realized

I am truly going in blind--

like, I know Rachel has more stamina.

She's stronger than myself, but

either way, I knew it was a 50/50 shot,

and today just wasn't my day.

Looking back, I probably would have wanted to be

the attacker first.

Rachel had already gotten the round before me.

I think that she used the ropes a little bit more.

-Yeah! -(cheering)

I feel a little defeated only because I wanted

to play this game a little longer. But

I gave it my all, and I'm really proud of myself.

Good job.

(bleep)! (bleep)!

I thought I (bleep) had that (bleep), man.

-I thought I won. Check the tapes. -Go!

I think my leg came into play. I was a little slower,

playing defense. But on offense,

Being a part

of season 40 was

one of the coolest things I could ever dream

of being a part of. And I really feel like I still

kind of kicked some ass. The gods

-are telling me I have to go home -(air horn blows)

and take care of my pregnant wife.

Baby Maverick, you're not in this world yet,

but Daddy loves you and can't wait to meet you.

And to my high school son, Eric,

I love you and I hope

that you were proud of my performance.
