arrived to shake things up.

The divine being
was Lord Champa,

the fearsome Destroyer
of the Sixth Universe

and the twin brother
of Lord Beerus himself.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it.

And the guy looks
just like Beerus, too!

Except he weighs
about twice as much

and has a thing
for funny drinks.

But don't let that fool you.
He's still a fighting machine

and definitely deserves
that Destroyer title.

When he started fighting Beerus,
the whole world was shaking!

[BOTH]
That's enough!

[GOKU] Whis said if they
hadn't stopped when they did,

the universe would've
been ripped apart!

but twelve universes,

which exist
in intricate balance.

numbers add up to thirteen,

such as the First Universe
and the Twelfth,

or the Second and the Eleventh,
are counterparts to each other.

Parallel realities that share
a great deal in common.

confused me; I kinda got lost.

Universe, home to Beerus,

Goku and his friends,
is a counterpart

to the Sixth,
where Champa reigns.

And like Champa and Beerus,
the Sixth and Seventh Universes

have a twin-like relationship:
they may have begun identical,

but have developed
differences over time.

And their sibling Destroyers
often squabble

over whose reality
produces the better food.

Food from the Sixth Universe

makes whatever slop
you offer here

taste like hot, sweaty garbage.

[NARRATOR]
On this most recent visit,

Champa believed he had claimed
his culinary victory,

but Beerus had a secret weapon.

What kind of witchcraft is this?

It's instant ramen.

I've never heard of that dish.
Where did you get this from?

[BEERUS] A curious planet
called "Earth."

A weird name.

[NARRATOR]
Champa's attendant, Vados,

who is also Whis' older sister,

searched for planet Earth
in the Sixth Universe,

but the human race
in that reality

had already been destroyed
through foolish conflict.

And no more civilization
meant no more gourmet food.

[KRILLIN] Wow. That's a weird
way to frame a tragedy.

I know. Their version
of the earth

looks like a dried up,
empty rock.

[CHAMPA chuckles]

Let's have a contest!

[NARRATOR] And just like that,
Champa threw down the gauntlet,

challenging Beerus
to a fighting competition.

If Champa wins,
the Sixth and Seventh Universes

will exchange
their planet Earths.

And if Beerus wins,
Champa will give his brother

another interesting prize:

six powerful wish orbs
he has collected.

[NARRATOR] Like Dragon Balls,
these orbs grant wishes

when all seven
are brought together.

would be out,

and the winner would advance
to fight the next member

of the opposing team. The first
side to reach and defeat

the opposing team's captain
would win it all.

the rules of combat...

the World Martial Arts
