No comment from the Pentagon
in regards to the now-infamous video

of the so-called "jellyfish" UFO.

[Knapp] We released
that jellyfish video, and kaboom,

it was an explosion of public interest.

But the reaction
from our government speaks volumes.

The US Department of Defense
is responding to questions

about a recently surfaced video.

The department, quote,
"does not comment on the authenticity

of alleged DoD material
that may have been leaked."

[reporter] Days after the video emerged,
the House Oversight Committee

held a closed-door briefing with members
of the intelligence community.

What are the potential national
security implications for the US?

Well, the simple answer
to your question is that I see a threat.

[ominous music playing]

[Knapp] But the reason we released this
isn't to make noise. It's to get answers.

My colleague Jeremy and I
have been contacted by a source

whom we've confirmed worked at this base,

and claims there's much more
to this video than what we've seen.

- [Corbell] I am nervous for our buddy.
- [Knapp] Yeah, I'm nervous for him, yeah.

Jeremy Corbell
is an investigative filmmaker

focusing on UFO cases.

He's developed his own network of sources.

He's helped develop my network of sources.
We've broken a lot of stories together.

We've got a TV crew with us
that's recording,

but we're, as always,
gonna protect your identity.

So from what we've understood from you,

the video, you know, the world has seen
some of it, but not all of it.

Tell us what you saw.

[source] Yeah. There was one long video
that was recorded.

After about 20 minutes of it going through
the most sensitive parts of the base,

it just stops dead in its tracks

and drops into the lake, stiff.

No thermal signature change.
It just goes in.

It doesn't splash,

because in our system,
you can see every single detail.

You know, you can see
a splash in the water.

And no thermal change.

After 17 minutes,
the object ascended from the water.

It paused, and then shot off
at an extremely rapid rate of speed.

So you're affirming
that footage exists, 100%.

You've seen it with your own eyes,
and other people have.

That footage does exist?

Yes, it does.

[Knapp] What happened to that video,

the other section of the video
that the public has not yet seen?

That was confiscated.

It was taken away
by the authorities under armed guard.

Directly after it was acquired.

[ominous music peaks, fades]

Well, a lot of people at that base
saw that video before we made it public.

- A lot.
- Yes.

The number of people
who saw the full recording...

Is smaller.

...with the thing
that goes in the water is much smaller.

The full video is stashed away somewhere.

I think it's key to understanding
the bigger picture.

Hopefully, more of them are willing
to come forward in a public way.

If we stir the pot enough,

maybe someone in a position of authority
can go after that, the full video.

Yes.

The idea that it can move
between space, air, and sea,

this is what we know about UFOs.

So we have an example of this.

What is it under the water
that is so important about UFOs?

Well, maybe they live there.

Whatever they're doing here,
they could do it out of sight of us.

We're not noticing them flying around.

[Knapp] In Brazil, the stories
that we heard from witnesses

is these objects come in and out
of the water, over and over,

as if they're interested
in something in the Amazon River.

Same kind of thing
with the jellyfish case.

We're on a planet that's 70% water.

If you wanted to hide from humans,
maybe you'd want to hide in the oceans.

There are thousands and thousands of cases

where people see these things coming in
and out of the water all over the planet.

They seem to defy the laws of physics.

They avoid our sensor systems.

They just don't seem to play
by the same rules that we do.

The last few years,
we've had some pretty dramatic evidence

of UFO encounters involving the water,
starting with the Tic Tac.

The Tic Tac case
is maybe the best-documented

and most important UFO case of all time.

Dave Fravor, commander of the Black Aces,
the best pilots in the entire military,

encountered this strange Tic Tac object

that could do things
that his F-15 could not do.

It knew what it was doing.

It was aware of our presence,
and it had acceleration rates...

I mean, it went from zero
to matching our speed in...

[snaps fingers] ...no time at all.

And it was docking with something
under the water, something really big.

They had been seeing these things

coming down from space and into the water
for a period of a couple of weeks.

[man] Do you believe that you witnessed
an additional object under the water

in relation to your encounter?

I will say we did not see an object.

There was something
to cause the white water.

When we turned around, it was gone.

So there was something there
that obviously moved.

[music subsides]

[Knapp] There are hot spots
around the world

where USO activity
has been reported over decades.

Unidentified Submerged Objects.

One of these hot spots
is the Gulf Coast of Mexico.

[man in Spanish] There are anomalies
in the water around Tampico, Tamaulipas.

[Knapp in English] I got a lead
from a well-known Mexican ufologist

named Juan Carlos.
I had met him years ago.

I think he reached out and said
there'd been a peak of recent activity

in the Tampico area.

That area's had a long history
of UFO and USO cases.

But he says people are
so conditioned to the idea of aliens,

they think there's a permanent
alien base there that protects 'em.

So we're heading into Mexico.

I'm hoping that Doug
can help use his expertise,

his understanding of human nature,

and the language
to help us get some answers.

But I also want to get below the surface
of this water phenomenon

in a literal sense.

I got a series of emails
from this guy named Rory.

He's an underwater archaeologist.

He has information about
Southern California coastal anomalies

that I'm very interested in.

[intense music playing]

[Knapp] We know that
off the coast of Southern California,

they've had a flurry of UFO activity
and USO activity.

And it's an inordinate number of incidents
that have been reported,

many of them by the US Navy.

[on recording] For two long hours,
the crew of the USS Omaha detected,

on multiple sensor systems,
unknown objects that surrounded the ship

as it moved through ocean waters
west of San Diego.

The ships that were
under observation by the unknowns

were unable to track where they came from
or where they disappeared to.

The Omaha sphere appears
to have vanished into the ocean.

- [man 1] What was that?
- [man 2] Splash.

[Knapp] I can remember back
when I first started looking into UFOs,

there was a famous video
of something that looked like a cigar

flying over Catalina Island
that nobody could explain back then.

The history of that area suggests

that this activity has been going on
a really long time.

So now's the perfect time
to enlist someone like Rory

who can help me investigate this.

If not boots on the ground, then maybe
flippers in the water or something.

[tense music playing]

[Knapp] Rory Kremer worked
for the Department of Defense

for a number of years and apparently had
some experiences on the job

that he didn't feel comfortable
speaking about

until he got closer to retirement.

I want to vet him a little
to make sure he's on the level.

If he's willing to go out into the ocean,
dive under the waves, look for evidence,

archaeological or otherwise,
that's a unique skill set

and one that would really be valuable
for our investigation

into what the heck's goin' on.

[Knapp] Trying to get to the bottom
of USOs is really a tough task

because the glimpses are so fleeting.

People say they see 'em go into the water,

they see 'em come out of the water,
and poof, they're gone.

How do you document that?

The only way to really get
to the bottom of it

is to go into the water
and see if there's something there.

Are you Rory?

- Hi, George. It's a pleasure.
- George Knapp. Nice to meet you.

[dramatic music fades out]

[Knapp] So, you've worked for the Navy.

You've been out on the ocean
for most of your life.

How'd you get interested in UFOs?

Maybe ten years ago,

I was sailing from Hawaii
to the United States, to the mainland.

And about 1,600 miles
off the coast of Hawaii,

beautiful night, clear,

all of a sudden, the water underneath
of the boat started gettin' bright.

[energy thrums]

[Kremer] I mean, like daylight.

This was the middle of the night,
and there was no way that was happening.

This thing kept getting
brighter and brighter and brighter.

All of a sudden,
the, like, orb came up out of the water.

- And it stopped.
- Just sitting there.

It just stopped
for, like, three or four seconds.

And it went from that water atmosphere
to the air atmosphere

and kind of equalized,
and then... off in a different direction.

It was...

Wow. Oh, so that's not
a submarine that flies off?

- No. There's no submarine--
- We don't have anything like that, do we?

Not that I know of.
And I never really told anybody about it,

but I did a little homework
and started looking at, uh, records

from the DoD that were available.

World War II, Korean,
and, uh, Vietnam era,

captains crossing the Pacific.

And it was pretty dang common
during that time.

As you know, there's been a lot of
attention about what might be going on

under the water and over the water
off Southern California.

There's been a lot of incidents.
I suspect it's been going on a long time.

You know the ocean so well.

Does it seem outlandish to suggest
there could be something there?

Some kind of a... a base,
a habitat, a civilization?

I think it's totally feasible.

Um, I think
that there is a way to find them.

I think that looking for anomalies
under the water with radar, with ROVs...

Um, I got a chart here
that I brought along.

People don't use
the paper charts very much anymore,

but it's really cool to look back at 'em

and compare them to the electronic charts
that we have now.

- There's a lot of stuff that's covered up.
- [Knapp] Just removed.

[Kremer] Removed, grayed out.

Somebody's grayed those out for a reason.
There might be something there.

Those are the areas
I... I'd wanna take a look at.

People have been talking about this,
all this history

of UFO and UFO sightings in the area,

but no one's gone out there
and jumped in the water and looked around.

So you could be the first to do it
if you're willing to... to pitch in.

I would be happy as a clam to do that.

And I know my buddy, Anthony,
would just... He'd be gangbusters.

[Knapp] Just to let you know,

I'm heading to Tampico
because we've been hearing these stories

about things coming in and out
of the water there for decades.

They think that
there's an alien base out there

that protects them from storms.

And I wanna find out
who might be down there and why.

That's really interesting.

There's some really cool stuff
down there as well.

We're gonna see what we can find out.

for his exploration
of the Channel Islands,

I'm heading to Tampico, Mexico,

to investigate why the area
around Miramar Beach

is a major hot spot
for underwater activity

and what these craft might be doing
below the surface.

Unlike in Brazil, where craft
from the water seemingly attacked people,

the locals in Tampico, Mexico,
believe the UFOs and USOs protect them.

Hey. Hola, Juan Carlos. How you doing?

I've known about Juan Carlos
and his work for almost 30 years now.

He's a respected authority on UFO activity
and investigations in Mexico.

When we first reached out to Juan Carlos
and said, "We're coming to Tampico,"

we told him we'll need
some other witnesses.

And he gave us a list, a long one.

[gentle music playing]

[Knapp] So I'm sending out Doug and seeing
if he can talk to some of these witnesses,

figure out who's got good information
that's worth pursuing.

I'm headed to the local historical center
with Juan Carlos.

That's where they keep records
on the area's UFO sightings,

so I can get a better understanding
of how prevalent this phenomena is here.

If we can find this out, it might show us
where we can focus our efforts.

Juan Carlos, when people see these things
in and out of the water,

they don't report to the government
or a... a UFO organization.

They report to you, right?

[man in Spanish] When people see them,

they don't report
to the government or an organization.

They report to you. Is that it?

Yes, indeed, people contact us.
We visit the locations of the sightings.

Take photographs and videos.

So we are very lucky
that civilians come forward to us.

[calming music playing]

[Knapp in English]
Doug's hitting the ground

to question locals
about some new sightings.

And I think his skepticism is valuable
because it can help separate people

who might just be seeking attention
from those who have key information.

- Alex.

Fluently, I speak four languages.
Pashto, Japanese, Dari, and English.

[speaking Spanish]

And then Spanish, not fluent,
but I know enough to get by.

[in Spanish] Many people
have seen the same thing.

They see objects coming out of the water.

Ships coming out.

Beings have appeared
walking along the beach.

[in English] My first sighting
was in 2017.

Okay.

I saw, from left to right,
a... a fleet of seven UFOs.

- Okay.
- These were spherical UFOs.

They were glowing in an electrical blue.

They were flying
by themselves in a delta formation.

I don't know if this spacecraft is human,
if it's military, it's extraterrestrial.

I have no idea. But it made no sound
when I saw these spheres going over me.

That's interesting.

What is it about Tampico
that attracts the UFOs, the aliens?

[in Spanish] From our investigations,
we believe the water is rich in minerals.

Aliens take the water for their systems,

which we believe is for the mothership.

But it is also used for functions
of the underground base

which is in front of the beach.

I started investigating
a substance called "Ormus."

[Laux] Hmm.

[Cabrera] They say that this substance
that comes from the sea

serves as a propellant for the ships.

[Laux in English] I'm always skeptical
when I hear these sorts of claims.

Confirmation bias is a real serious issue,

not just with the UFOs,
but just anything in general.

People want to make connections
that aren't always there.

I've heard the story
about no hurricanes hitting Tampico.

Do you have any data to support that?

[in Spanish] The newspaper
Sol De Tampico printed in 1967

that a fleet of UFOs appeared,

and since 1967,

no hurricane has impacted.

- [Knapp] That's strange.
- [López Díaz] Sí.

[in English] Do you think there's
a particular place where the aliens live?

[in Spanish] Yes, in this area
there have been many sightings

of unidentified submarine objects,

seen mostly by the fishermen.

And based on our research,

we've identified there is
an extraterrestrial base

in this part of the Gulf of Mexico.

[in English] The theory is that there's
an alien base here, out in the ocean,

and that that base is responsible
for Tampico being spared

from hurricane activity
over the past 50-plus years.

This recording is above,
from the refinery of Ciudad Madero.

[López Díaz in Spanish] What we see
in the video, if we pay more attention,

are small spheres of light in the area.

[in English] That's a bunch. Like 8 or 9.

[López Díaz in Spanish]
Yes, indeed, it is a good amount

of extraterrestrial presence for us.

And some engineers have told us
that they always see them

when they start up a plant
at the Francisco I. Madero refinery.

[Knapp in English] This is a wild claim
that there's an alien base here,

and that it doesn't just explain
why there are so many mystery sightings,

but also why they don't have hurricanes
in the Tampico area.

[gentle music playing]

[Knapp] You have to consider
possible alternate explanations.

So Doug has reached out
to a local meteorologist, Amalia Avalos,

and has set up a meeting.

We're here to learn
about the strange weather

and meteorology of, uh, this area.

It's almost folklore that there are
no hurricanes that hit this area,

that aliens keep Tampico safe.

Is that true?

[in Spanish] It is said
that they placed barriers here...

[in English] There's a barrier from,
like, the water.

[in Spanish] ...to block the currents
and push them away,

but there's also
a scientific explanation, right?

The reality, for me,
is that it's the currents that push it.

They don't allow
the warm water of the Gulf to enter.

Those same currents force
the warm water around instead.

It is a natural barrier.

[in English] That's what stopped
the hurricanes to happen.

Okay, so you... you think that
that's easily explained by science, then?

[Avalos in Spanish] Yes, effectively.

[Knapp in English] Okay, any ideas
why there are so many UFO sightings here?

[in Spanish] The Gulf of Mexico
holds many mysteries

because it's full of energy.

This stuff here,

these minerals...

- [Knapp] In the water?
- [Avalos] Uh-huh.

[in Spanish] And that comes in.
The current brings it in.

And that's why we say
that this exact area is "energetic."

[Knapp in English] Something in the water?

- [Avalos] Magnético.
- Magnetic.

[Avalos in Spanish] Yep.

[Knapp in English] It's interesting
that Amalia mentions magnets.

You look at the broad history
of UFO and USO activity,

and magnetic anomalies
are often associated with it.

Look at Bermuda Triangle,
where compasses go crazy,

ships and planes disappear.

[Knapp] It's where there's
a well-documented case of a UFO sighting

over the USS John F. Kennedy in 1971.

Crewmen saw a large glowing sphere,
200 feet in diameter,

that was never explained.

- [gulls crying]
- [tense music playing]

We need to get out on the water,
see if we can find places

where these magnetic anomalies
can be detected and are occurring,

how significant they may be,

and how they might be connected
to UFO and USO activity.

[tense music subsides]

[Kremer] After I met with George,
I've spent the past week sourcing gear,

putting a crew together.

Everything we needed to be able
to go out and look at the Channel Islands

and investigate the area.

I'm specifically looking
for structures, artifacts,

anything that is not built by humans,
that is not formed by nature.

How are we doing for gear?

- Oh man, look at that. ROV, side scan...
- Nice.

I invited one
of my longtime dive partners,

Anthony Reynolds.

He's gonna facilitate us
getting underwater

and being able
to get to these things safely.

And possibly locate some of the sites
of anomalies and artifacts.

That ROV's gonna be a really good help.

Dive gear?

- Right there. You're all set up.
- Excellent. Excellent.

Going out to the Channel Islands
is gonna be a challenge.

There's a lot of equipment challenges,
a lot of geographical challenges,

a lot of logistic challenges.

And there's safety challenges
for myself and crew.

We've got a lot of different,
varied topography out here.

[Kremer] We got places
that people haven't dove before.

- Probably so.
- [man 1] On deck. Clear.

We're trying to find an anomaly.

And an anomaly is something
that's not geologically formed.

[man 2] Stand clear.

[Knapp] While Rory starts
his underwater mission,

Doug and I are getting ready
to investigate the claims

of a magnetic alien base
in the waters near Tampico.

[intense music playing]

[Knapp] Juan Carlos has gotten us
in touch with a fisherman

who claims that a USO he spotted
a couple of hours out to sea

nearly pulled his boat underwater.

What you got there?

This is called a magnetometer,
and we can drop this in the water.

And it gives us readings if there is
anything magnetic in that location.

A magnetometer is testing
for, like, magnetic pulses.

It's testing for something like steel.

It's gonna let you know,
and it's gonna ping on a chart.

Gonna take us out to the site
where he saw this thing before.

Okay.

[Knapp] Paco's taking us out
to the exact location

where he encountered this USO.
It's about 70 miles out,

so we're gonna be out
on the ocean for a while.

[Knapp] This about it?

[man in Spanish] Uh, no.
A bit further on that side.

- [in English] Further?
- [man] Sí.

[Knapp] Man, the ocean
is incredibly inhospitable.

- I know.
- [laughs]

[Kremer] The Channel Islands
are basically a mountain range

that over the last 15,000 years
has become...

As the water level rises,

the mountains still stay there,
and we just see the tips of 'em.

- We're running slow right now.
- [Reynolds] Yeah.

So I think we're gonna throw the fish out
and see what we can get with the sonar.

One of the tools that we brought along
that is key to our work

is the side-scan sonar.

It sends acoustic vibrations underwater
that are picked up and read to a computer.

It has the ability to map out and detect
underwater structures and formations.

It will give us sonar readings
off the bottom.

We'll be able to visually read them
on the laptop here.

We pull it behind us,

and the starfish shows us
what's on the bottom.

- Nice.
- [Kremer] Pretty cool.

[intriguing music playing]

[Kremer] Just keep a straight line
as much as you can now.

Okay, we're in the water.

There is a large military presence
around these islands.

We're allowed here, but we're planning
to look at some areas

that maybe they don't want us to look at.

Nice. That's giving us a good read.

We can see any anomalies
that'll pop up right there.

Well, we're looking for peaks.

Uh, we're looking for valleys also,
because valleys could be tracks.

Um, we're lookin' for anything that looks
like it might be... not made by nature.

I had my experience eight years ago.

And I didn't share it because
I was still working on DoD projects,

Department of Defense projects,

and it was frowned upon at the time

to say that you'd seen something flying,
possibly from outer space.

But as I'm getting ready to retire,
I think that what I saw was significant.

I don't want it to be lost

because I didn't mention it.

I can't explain it,
but I'd like to find some explanation.

That's my goal. I'd like to learn more.

That's an interesting
little spot right there.

So we're looking
for straight edges, right angles.

Continuous right angles would be something
that doesn't show up in nature very often.

Anything that pops out at you
that, you know, looks odd.

Something right there.

There's another one.

So, we're dragging this thing now,

but we could actually be diving
in this zone.

Yeah, and I think
we should dive this zone.

I think we should get
in the water right in here.

Captain, I think
we want to pull this sonar up

and get in the water over here.

- [captain] You got it.
- Okay.

[Kremer] This area
that we are looking at right now

is an area I have long been interested in
as an archaeologist.

This was actually considered
by the Native Americans,

the Chumash and the Salinans,
as a real sacred spot.

And for thousands of years,
there have been sightings out here.

So we want to start in this area

and start working our way logically back
with an archaeological survey,

seeing what we can find underwater.

Any kind of strange stuff
that has, you know, been built.

- So, let's get in the water.
- Sounds good to me.

- All right, man.
- All right.

[Kremer] Gear on.

[energetic music playing]

[in Spanish] So we're
in the area where it happened.

We had already gone
about 45 miles out to sea.

I was fishing with a pole, like this...

[suspenseful music playing]

[Paco] The moon was out,

but for a lot of the night,
it wasn't visible.

It wasn't long
before we were hauling in our gear,

getting ready to eat.

We saw a light encircling the boat.

It was a big light.

And from the back, it was dragging us.

Then my brother said,
"You know what? Cut the anchor!"

So I grabbed a knife and cut the line.

And then we took off,
all the way back to port.

And we told everybody what we had seen.

What happened to us.

Some believed us, some didn't.

But there are a lot of fishermen
that have seen things

and sometimes won't talk about it
because people don't believe them.

Some people need
to see it for themselves, you know?

[Laux in English] You know, the abnormal
or paranormal things like this,

you know, I'm skeptical,

but you can't just reject something
out of hand.

What can be asserted without evidence
can be dismissed without evidence.

But if you take that approach,

you're probably not gonna learn
really anything new.

What I'm saying is, I'm open-minded.

I'd like to see evidence, though.
Especially given my past career.

You kind of got to prove things to me.

[speaking Spanish]

[in Spanish] It wasn't a submarine
because a submarine is long,

like a sausage.

This wasn't like that.
It was like this, all around.

Understand? It was like a big ring.
A big ring.

[Knapp in English] Round.

[in Spanish] But that was no submarine.

[in English] How far did it pull you
before you cut the... the anchor off?

[in Spanish] It pulled us 20 meters,
more or less.

It was going slowly. It was going...

[imitating whooshing]

[in English] Paco really believes
that something under the water

grabbed ahold of his anchor and pulled him

and almost capsized his boat.

The witness story is
one piece of the puzzle.

We've got the magnetometers,
and we're gonna see

what kind of evidence
we can collect under the water.

- [gulls calling]
- [intriguing music playing]

[Kremer] We saw interesting things
on the sonar around here,

so we're gonna jump in the water,
see what we can find.

[Kremer] We're seeing some interesting
different formations of stone.

There's, like, a rhyolite vein
that comes out of there.

Way different than the surface stuff.

It's reddish.

It's got some different angles to it.

A lot of this stuff
is really rounded right here,

everything that we're seeing.

But that stone
that's sitting down in the bottom,

it's almost like it was cut or blasted.

There's real straight...
straight lines on it,

and then angles that are not
what we're seeing above at all.

That formation really is about
the most anomalous thing that I'm seeing.

Most of the formations
that I'm seeing here are volcanic.

They're well-rounded.
More like a volcanic tuff that had dried.

The angular stone that we're seeing,
the rhyolite, this one really stands out.

It's almost like straight lines
were cut into it.

If indeed there is a source
of underwater intelligence here,

they're gonna be able to evade detection.

So it's only by investigating the area

and picking up these clues
that are left over,

and we'll be able
to come up with a hypothesis

for what's going on out there.

The next step is to get the ROV out.

Hopefully, it will show us
more evidence of whoever or whatever

carved out these formations
that we've located.

We were told by Paco
that he experienced some pull, right?

And that it was pulling him down
from the bottom of the ocean.

That's why we took that magnetometer
out to the ocean as well to test,

to see if there was anything under there.

This is what I'm gonna be throwing
in the ocean.

So if there's anything down there
that's magnetic,

we're gonna know about it,

and it's gonna show up
in this read right here.

[Knapp] Magnetometers have been used

to, uh, help investigate
USO-type activity over the years.

Uh, to indicate
whether there's craft down there.

To give a hint about whether
there's other kinds of metallic debris

that have been associated
with UFOs and USOs.

I have no idea
what the results of our tests might show,

but we're gonna give it a try.

So I'm gonna toss it in here now.

Did we sail right over some sort of a UFO,

To get answers, I'm sending this data
to an expert geologist and oceanographer

who can tell us what to make of it.

when he was saying
that he hooked onto something.

about to take on water,
to the point where, you know this...

And I got no sense he was misleading us.

He wasn't looking for attention.
He had his brother on the boat too.

So the fact that he reacted so quickly
because he thought they were going under,

that has the ring of truth.

Yep, but some people
sometimes think they saw something,

and they have so much conviction
that they believe what they didn't see,

but they believe they--

So, we're gonna get those results back,

and we're gonna know for sure
if there's something down there.

Witness story is one piece of the puzzle.
We've got data from the magnetometers.

We sent the data over to Frank Kimbler
at the New Mexico Military Institute.

He's a geologist.
He's an expert at this stuff.

He can tell us what it means.

We're... sent along some data
from the magnetometer readings

that we got out, off the coast of Tampico,

and trying to figure out
if you can make any sense of them.

What really stands out is
when you put it in a graphical format,

and you can see
the peaks of the variations

in the magnetic field
below the magnetometer.

And then there's some negative ones too.

And the negative ones is a mystery to me.

I've... I've not seen negative numbers
in magnetometers' readings before.

The negative numbers usually come

from cylindrical objects
that are stationary.

I don't know what would cause that.

Uh, there's a couple of those
that show up.

I have no idea what that could be.

There could be
a big pocket of, uh, magnetic sand.

It could be... It could be a ship.

It's a big anomaly that's hot, so...

It really does sound
like there's something in the water.

So you wanna ask, like, the big question.

Why are they specifically coming
to Tampico?

Maybe it is a fuel, in the sense of...

A lot of our scientists are looking
at hydrogen from water, from seawater,

that could be fuel for futuristic kinds
of technology, propulsion systems.

Maybe this stuff
that's in the water here in Tampico

is why they've focused here.
We don't know.

[Knapp] If aliens are visiting
from other planets,

and they're coming here for a reason,

our mineral resources
might be part of that.

What we can't tell is,
are they coming from somewhere else

and dropping into the water,
or have they been here all along?

The ROV, or remotely operated vehicle,

is actually a tool that we can use
to be able to access the ocean bottom

where we physically cannot go
without a submarine.

It's a really important tool to be able
to search for underwater anomalies.

It's got a lot of different systems
with the power, the lights, the camera.

It's got a radar or a sonar on it. GPS.

And then we've got
an arm on that thing also,

and I doubt we're gonna use the arm,
but we could.

It's a pretty nifty unit.
