So, I don't trust Josh,

and right now, it looks like me and Nehemiah.

so I knew that you were upset.

So, uh, being a target,

to me, is not a ticket to the elimination.

Moving forward,

I would like our eras to have some sort of discussion

just to kind of preplan how we want

to strategically place tr-- targets in there together

to protect each other.

That's definitely a conversation to have

before you make a big move that affects someone.

You didn't come to me, I didn't go to you,

there was no communication.

Hopefully, like, eras can come together.

If Darrell and Tina

have the power in this next challenge,

you and Aviv are fine.

I don't feel so great about

my position in the game at this point.

Aviv is a target with me.

The only two people that I feel like I'm actually locked in with

are Cory and Nia.

So I know that Rachel's

looking out for herself.

It's frustrating to be on a team

With that being said, me and Michele

have a close connection, so the risk

is less than the reward.

a little bit longer in this game

because, of course, I want to be with him.

But me and Devin being on different eras

is a little bit tricky.

In some ways,

we can kind of maneuver in each other's favor,

but I'm always gonna want to do what's best

for my team, and he's gonna want to do

what's best for his team, leaving us sometimes

not exactly on the same page with our goals.

The only thing that's tricky is, like,

because Kyland and I are kicking it, you know

that he won't say my name, so that's not good for you.

But I feel like I made it clear to him

If something were to happen and we're already down there--

which I hope is not the case--

then I feel like you'd be straight.

The best-case scenario

for this upcoming challenge is that

my era or Era Three wins,

because I know that they'll save us.

Because Nia's with Kyland, I'm with Devin.

But my concern

is that Nia

and Nehemiah have a connection.

I'm hinging this on Kyland's word

that Nia will choose him.

Hopefully, love in this house is actually gonna benefit us.

I'm officially a target again.

Didn't volunteer, just got picked.

Yes, relationships play a role,

but as we narrow down the team,

there will be no option

to save all the people that you like.

Right now, I'm sitting pretty neutral.

It's time for me to step up.

Anytime you have to get in an elevator to go

to a challenge, you know what time it is.

When I was little, I used to have this dream

all the time that I was free-falling

off a building, and I would wake up

right before I hit the ground.

It was my worst nightmare,

kid you not.

So I'm a little stressed out, but I-I'm feeling

a little comf-- uh, uh, con-con--

in beautiful Vietnam for this season

Battle of the Eras.

Winning has never been more important.

In 39 seasons, The Challenge has taken us

to many different heights.

30,000-feet skydiving...

Traversing a wire from building to building...

But never have we ran off of a 56-story helipad...

...in the middle of a city.

Today's challenge is called Leap of Faith.

This is a timed event.

One at a time, four of you are gonna run and jump

and grab one of those flags.

You're gonna collect four colored flags.

The color of that flag is corresponding with these boxes.

There are puzzle pieces in those boxes.

Everyone else is up here pulling their partners up

and then solving the puzzle.

In Era One's case, you only have four.

So, only one of you is going to be solving that puzzle.

Once complete, time will be stopped.

The team to do this the fastest will win today's challenge.

If your era loses today,

you're going straight into elimination.

A dropped flag is a 30-second penalty.

If you miss the flags, it's a two-minute penalty.

If you take two flags,

that's five minutes added to your time.

If you get that red flag, it's a bonus three minutes

deducted from your time.

Now, four people are gonna be randomly selected

out of your team.

Era One, you only have four.

So, all four players are jumping, no matter what.

- I don't know about this. - Hold on, man.

This terrifies the out of me.

But I'm gonna try to help my team as much as possible

because we cannot afford to be in elimination again.

All right, Era Two.

Bananas.

My stomach literally falls right out of my ass.

I wish this was an individual challenge

because I would just sit this one out

and go duke it out in the elimination.

But being a target is a package deal,

so I cannot do that to Jordan.

- Era Four. - Josh. Just say it!

Josh. Oh, my God.

-Jenny. -Come on, Jenny.

-Theo! -No!

- Kaycee. - Yes. yeah!

The helplessness that I feel being a target,

being stuck on the sidelines, unable to make any difference,

it doesn't feel ideal, but it's okay

because I'm good at puzzles, Michele's good at puzzles.

So, I feel like we should have this one in the bag.

Era Four, you're going first.

Even though I'm not a target, I definitely want

to give it my all and win because I want to be able

to protect Kyland and Michele.

So, it's full send right now, and I'm going zero to 100,

and I'm going to make sure that I capture that flag.

I've ever done in my life.

So I'm gonna just talk to myself while I'm here.

This is what I do.

So I'm known in the house for just talking to myself,

no one really listens to me.

I think it's because I talk all the time.

The funny thing is, Era Four is nothing but, like, meatheads.

Like, they're all, like, gym, gym, gym.

I mean, they look good and they're strong,

but you can just tell, like,

this team is completely gassing out.

You guys won the last one.

Maybe you're gonna lose this one, Era Four.

Theo grabs his flag and the bonus flag,

which shaves three minutes off our total time,

which is great for us because we took

so long to pull up Josh.

Oh, me and puzzles.

I would like to say that I'm great at them,

but honestly, I'm just out here in the sun, baking.

Going into this challenge,

the goal here was to come in first place,

but my goal has shifted.

Let's just not get last place.

Era Two. Bananas, ready?

The strategy for today

is to take a run at the bonus flag

as I jump off of a 52-story building in Vietnam.

-This is insane. -Go!

Whoo!

- Let's go. - Keep pulling. - Keep pulling. Pull!

Ah, slow it down, slow it down, goddamn it.

I know that Era Three has teamed up with Era Four,

but I also know that our biggest competition is Era Two.

We need to keep them down.

-Good job, Bananas. -Johnny!

- Go! - You got this, Laurel!

-Yeah! -Good job.

That's right, baby!

-Yay! -Yeah, Nehemiah!

I really, honestly think that this challenge is ours.

The only thing I'm nervous about is Aviv.

Aviv is gonna have to jump higher

than she's ever had to jump in her life

to retrieve one of these flags.

You got this, Aviv.

Okay.

I'm not afraid of heights.

My biggest anxiety is the fact that the flag

is far away and I'm five feet tall.

These things are designed for average height people,

which is not me.

She's badass.

Honestly, I don't think there's anything she can't do.

- Except for reach the top shelf. - Yeah.

We have Aviv on our team.

She is a beast, but these are pretty high flags.

The wind's blowing super hard.

Aviv's gonna be gone with the wind.

Mama's still got it.

I'm excited to show my kids

that even though things are hard,

you still can get them done.

-Get in there, Derek. Get in there. -Okay.

Put this right here, yep.

That's like two triangles opposite.

That's what that is.

Derek knocks this puzzle out in the blink of an eye.

- You solved that fast. - yeah.

Derek is even-keeled all the time.

He's basically the exact opposite of Ryan,

who does nothing to help them solve this puzzle.

Up next, Era One. You ready?

-Oh, she got two. -She grabbed two.

It's a five-minute penalty?

- Yeah. - Son of a bitch!

I grabbed two.

- I was overzealous. - I just the bed.

This really puts pressure on Darrell.

He has to grab a flag and the bonus flag.

Plus, we gotta make up a lot of time

with the puzzle portion.

You got this, Darrell.

You got it. Don't be a bitch.

Everybody knows my weakness is heights.

You might as well just unhook me, bro.

- Hey, can you unhook me? - There's no way.

-That's a good little fall. -Darrell, don't look down.

-I don't think I could do it. -I ain't gonna never conquer

the fear of hanging from a rope in a harness.

And now I'm about to run and jump off a damn building.

I'm terrified,

but I told my daughter and my son,

"When you get uncomfortable, you grow."

So it's time to grow.

He's got to overcome this.

He's got the height. He can jump.

I want my kids to see their daddy

hold that check and get that fifth W.

Tina, it's got to be a steady pull, not a quick one.

This will be the hardest one.

Era One is the only era

that's gonna potentially be able

to take last place over us.

With Tina getting a penalty,

grabbing two flags, this maybe could be

our chance to at least not come in last.

To watch Darrell overcome his fear of heights

is something truly special.

He got the flags we need,

and now we are back in this game.

I'm rooting for Era One. These are my friends.

And I'm hoping that Era Four, the only other era

that has as many people as we do,

loses this.

There is no question that Derrick's leg

is becoming a more severe issue.

over two working knees any day of the week.

I'm good with puzzles,

but other teams, they have help.

I grabbed two flags. That's a penalty.

That means that if we lose, it's my fault

and I'm a target.

a flawless performance.

We've got Jordan and I on the chopping block,

two very important members of our era.

And the bonus flag is gonna save

three minutes off our final time, which means

we're off to a good start.

Era Three, you blink and they're up.

But I am playing this game with Devin,

and I think that by being with him,

his people-- Tori, Josh, Kaycee--

would protect me as well.

I'm afraid of a lot of things,

and at the top of that list,

right under death, is heights.

My decision to volunteer

to be a target was to put Nia

in a safer position.

That plan is

contingent upon Era Three and Four

not getting last.

When it comes to Era Four,

I'm not feeling great

about our overall time.

Leave it up to Era Three to just, like,

make this seem like it was something they did every day.

We've been coming in second a lot,

and we have not had a lot of control.

I feel good with Nia.

than I was to jump off

a 60-story building.

I always knew

it was gonna be a risk self-nominating,

but now me and Devin,

we have a relationship and I want to stay with him.

So I'm in survival mode right now.

I really would like to see

Era Two win so that we can just establish

the alliance between the two eras a little bit deeper

because I know that Era Two is

stronger than what people think they are.

Now, as for the winners...

This is only my second challenge win

in my entire career, so this is huge for me.

Me and Jordan are targets,

which means we get to sit at the head of the table

and make some decisions in this game.

It just feels really good.

But Kyland and Michele are

automatically going to elimination,

and with me and Jordan being

the decision makers on who's going against him,

I am considering what Kyland might want.

But more than that,

I'm considering what is good for my team.

And she put on a pretty great performance today.

Yes, she put on a good elimination performance,

I felt we were gonna win.

or Nehemiah 'cause I with both y'all.

that have known each other for a while,

like, inside and outside the game?

I think I'm falling for him in some kind of way.

I'd honestly rather jump off that building today

than take a leap of faith with this man.

I hate to go in and plead your case.

Kyland already said he'd rather have Nehemiah than me.

Looking at the lineup,

I got to save my boy Nehemiah at all costs.

The beauty in this, Nia is working with Nehemiah as well.

I'm trying to get her on my side.

Right prior to my first season,

my brother had an accident,

and it led to a traumatic brain injury.

His life has been tough.

And it's hard to find bright spots.

One thing that this show has done

for us as a family is, like,

every week seeing me on the show,

he can laugh.

And so the more time that I last,

the more time my brother gets to sit on the couch

and see me do crazy.

So, in that way, it's been such a blessing.

How do we feel about this rotation?

Because it's Devin's turn to step up.

From the very beginning of this game,

we knew that the target selections was going to be

something that could tear a team apart,

which means you're gonna need

to volunteer to be a target.

That way, we don't have a case of,

"Well, I've been in three times,

"and they haven't been in one time,

so, like, maybe we..." Shut up.

We all have to do it.

This is the part of the game that is made to break you.

If you want to win, you got to stay together.

This one's not my call, bro.

- You don't have any say? - Dude, she's not going

to say my name.

The circumstances, the circumstances...

A circumstance, Josh voted me in because Bananas was in with me.

Now a circumstance because Michele's in, and you guys

have your showmance, now I'm getting voted back in.

If the girl that I'm actively,

like, building a relationship with says,

"It's off the table," I'm not gonna press the issue

to send myself in and say,

"If you don't pick me, it's gonna make me look bad

for my team-- me, me, my,"

when she's going in.

If Devin really wanted

to go down there and keep this rotation,

he could tell Michele, "Hey, don't worry,

I got this one, I want to stay true to my team,"

but, um, that's not what Devin's gonna do.

I just feel like with these circumstances,

I've been getting royally.

to old friends and new.

Because the pressure and the weight of the win

is tremendous.

Here's the other dilemma.

I'm really big on seeing an underdog eat.

I'm so big on the survival of the underdog,

'cause I am one.

You know, me and Darrell, we developed

a dope friendship in Croatia.

And Tina and I developed

a close friendship on All Stars 3.

You obviously know that I'm close with Nehemiah.

It's difficult.

Era Two

is giving Era Three the most competition on a day-to-day,

and it's an easy shot

to take out some of their players.

I am giving Nia the cheat sheet to make it

to the end of this game.

Now let's see if Nia takes it.

Era One is on their deathbed.

But I do have friends on all sides,

so no matter which way you cut it,

I'm gonna risk someone's game that I actually

care about and respect.

In this game, I don't have a lot of people on my side right now.

I'm just hoping, somehow, Nia can help me

to avoid the elimination.

Last time I saw Kyland in the sand,

I came in as a mercenary.

Only one more to go, Kyland.

- Good job, Kyland! Well done! - Yes!

This time, you got a different animal, though, Kyland.

I'm fighting to stay in the game.

I know Kyland's good, but I just know that I'm that much better.

Okay, guys, we want to give you guys

the floor to plead your case

and let us know what you're feeling.

I feel like I have respect

and love for everybody here,

and I know that whatever decision

that you two make will be best for y'all,

and I won't hold it personal.

My relationships are new here,

uh, except for, of course, Darrell,

who I love deeply, as well.

So being in this situation is not fun.

But when someone takes care of me,

I don't have it in my heart to not take care of them.

All I'm asking, can we get a break?

Era One is hurting.

We just want one break,

and if we get that one break, we will remember it.

Just that one little pat, we'd very much appreciate it.

This is, uh, a very special season,

not just because it's 40

but we're also in Vietnam.

Um, and I normally don't like to, like,

do the personal thing, but I'm gonna fight like hell.

I don't want to go home.

I'm half Vietnamese, my mother escaped from the war.

So there's a lot of...

deep feelings there.

So the fact that I'm able to come to Vietnam

and to actually, like, get closer to my culture

that I grew up with is really nice.

I can honor my family

and say thank you.

So, I want this so bad.

I have no preference.

Nothing but love and respect.

I think that the only thing that separates me

from either of you two is the fact

that you guys are both champions,

and that just means that I'm hungry.

I know, for me,

it doesn't matter who's down there

because I'm gonna come back.

I'm willing to die for this.

My life experiences have led me

to be in a position

to win this game.

I went from a nonverbal kid

to learning how to have political conversations

here in The Challenge,

and I feel empowered and I feel ready to bring

the other things I've pushed through

to accomplish this goal of winning The Challenge.

I know how badly we all want to be here,

and the uneasy part is feeling like, uh,

I might be deciding someone's fate in the game.

Regardless of what the decision is...

to crack the code at the end.
