I'm not sure, in my era,

what is the best route
to help us win.

So I nominate myself because,

yeah, we may be losing dailies,

but we're crushing
the eliminations.

And of everybody on our era,
I've won the most.

So, uh, if we lose again,

I'm-I'm willing,
I'm able, I'm prepared.

Even if that means
falling on a sword.

The hardest is we're
nominating people

-in the end.

I am officially
a target once again.

So, the name of this game

is stay out of elimination
at all costs.

Nobody wants to go in
against CT.

He is a beast.

He sent me home
on my last Challenge.

So, best-case scenario,
Era Two wins and I stay safe,

Era One loses,
that would send them

directly into the elimination,

and my people could

avoid elimination
this time around.

I feel so confused
and blindsided

by you.

We were sitting on the bed...

...right, and you said,
"I will volunteer."

-Mm-hmm.
-And when you say that,
I'm like, "Cool."

I have lost trust now

for this situation.

Um, so I know

that, obviously,
you feel a little uneasy

and all that stuff, and I just
want to say what happened.

As I'm walking
into the elimination,

I'm told,
"Hey, don't nominate yourself

"because it's gone around
that you're going in,

"so people are gonna volunteer.

And one of those people's CT."

- Yeah.
- So instantly, I got on guard.

Previously, we had talked

as an era that Josh
was gonna volunteer

with me to be targets together.

He is very connected,
and people really like him,

and I felt the safest
in that decision.

Stay true to your word.

It's already hard enough
in this house

trusting people, we should at
least trust people in our era.

I'm really disappointed in him
at the moment.

So how are we gonna fix this?

Now, I'm like-- okay, so what?
The next one, I'm like,

I'm gonna literally be like,
"Who's gonna bail out,

"and who's gonna be,
like, cutting deals

behind my back?"

We definitely expected Josh

to do what he said
he was gonna do and volunteer,

but here I am with an armband
for the second time.

It's not sitting right.

This is definitely strike one.

And we're not playing baseball,

so I'm not gonna wait for three.

I want to be playing with people
that want to be heroes

and want to be dogs.

I don't want to play with people
that are scared.

I really wish Emily
didn't volunteer herself,

because she doesn't have
the same relationships

on her team as I do on mine.

You're not the soccer captain
or anything like that.

This is a competitive game
that gets cutthroat

for life-changing money.

This is a huge risk,
to nominate myself,

because if we lose
this challenge,

I have to go into elimination
automatically.

But at the same time,
it's inevitable.

Everyone's gonna have
to be a target

at some point in this game.

It feels like the right thing,

at this point in the game,

to try to get the power
in my own hands

and be the target,

to come back with a win
and take control.

This isn't any basic
mixed barbecue,

this is a season 40 barbecue.

Very important thing:
safety, when opening champagne.

Era One is in pain,

but we're still here,
we're still in the game.

I have faith. I have faith.

Plus, all of the guys
are absolutely terrified

of going against CT
in elimination.

So I think it's gonna be
a good thing

to be a target with CT.

Uh-oh. , my bad.

Ooh.

Era Two

is a little chaotic

in terms of communication
and/or leadership.

Cara Maria and I are on a team,

and she absolutely cannot
get over the fact

that I sent her
into the first elimination.

But my decisions are being made

with respect to what
I want for the final.

So if I can widen the gap
between me

and any of the women
with potential for the future

in the final,
that's what I'm gonna do.

Ah, sorry.

Laurel has been with me
through some of my lows,

but she's also caused
just as many lows.

Our relationship
is so incredible,

It's just so
complicated.

Yeah, I grew up,
different country,

new language,

woke up king of the country.

I will, again,

go on record saying
being in a relationship

in this game is super dumb.

But Michele Fitzgerald,

absolute rocket, funny, smart.

Every rule has an exception,
I guess,

and it's Michele in this case.

Me and Devin
are great friends.

You know, outside of this,
we talk a lot.

We've never played a game
together where he's been single,

and so, it's kind of never
really been an option for us.

And now we're kind of
looking at each other like,

"Could be an option."

But I am not
in the vacation alliance.

I guess I'm in the "baecation
alliance," me and Devin.

So maybe by proxy,
I'm kind of in there.

I literally told myself,

"No love," and now here I am.

in ten years.

Devin and Tori

are returning champions,
and they have

numbers behind them,

so this is
the perfect opportunity

to try to lock something in
with him.

I think, A,
we're the two strongest pairs,

and I think we're on
the two strongest eras,

and so,
it makes sense logically.

But I'll never make
a full, commit-- committed deal

in a partnership
without taking Tori,

and having
the same conversation with her.

Because if I,
if I make a deal...

...it's a deal.

I want to take this deal,

but I-- it just
doesn't feel right.

Even though
we haven't talked game...

One of the reasons
I don't like

making long-term deals

is because there may be
something that happens

in the moment
that's more beneficial

than something
you previously committed to.

CT's on the line in Era One,
I've got relationships with him.

Olivia's on the line
in Era Four,

I've got relationships with her.

So this cannot just be

a half-baked agreement

that I'm just gonna
blindly jump into

with people
I don't know super well.

So, I'm a little frustrated.

really close friends, and, like,

Anytime people see

If that makes us a vacation

Era Three and Four
have been aligning together,

kind of... Like, it's really

just been the vacation alliance.

Like, we're going to do our best
to work together,

but at the same time,
we recognize

that we are spread
across multiple eras,

and this game is gonna get
complicated.

So the best thing
that we can do is

just have an open line of calm,
cool communication.

To be fair, I voted him in
and he went home.

Last season. So...

So I wouldn't say
we're as strong

as you guys think we are.

The vacation alliance,

if you don't follow suit,

if you don't do what they want,

then, ultimately,
you're the next person

to go into elimination.

It is my turn to self-nominate,

but my problem is

I don't want to be used

to benefit other people's games.

I'm not cool with that.

'cause she hosted us
in Nashville.

So, Jonna, you're in it.

Today, I'm a target,

which means Era Two has to win.

There is no safety

on second and third place,

and definitely
not in fourth place.

I don't want to go
into elimination automatically,

but I put myself
in this position.

I believe my team can
work together.

So even though
it's a team challenge,

Nehemiah and I are the only ones
on the chopping blocks.

challenge on this season

of The Challenge:
Battle of the Eras.

Congratulations
to Jenny and Derrick.

By winning the elimination,
you had to select

one man and one woman from each
era to become the new targets.

You did that,

and you chose a couple
of heavy hitters.

CT and Tina...

Nehemiah and Emily from Era Two.

Tori and Devin from Era Three.

And Olivia and Kyland
from Era Four.

The eight of you are
at risk of elimination,

so you really got to win today

'cause that is the only way
to keep your targets safe

from elimination.

Now, today's challenge

is called Fast Pass.

To begin,
you and your entire era

are gonna pick up
a giant, Y-shaped beam.

It's heavy and awkward.

Then you are gonna
navigate that beam

through these trees
till you come to some sandbags.

There are eight sandbags.

Grab four of them

and bring them back
to your era station,

where you'll each have
one large balance beam.

Drop them off,
then repeat the process.

Grab the other four,
bring those sandbags back,

then select two players that you
want to balance that beam.

Now, be aware because

these sandbags are all
different weights,

so it's not gonna be easy.

First era to get
this done will win

today's challenge,
and their targets will be

the only two targets
safe from elimination.

Losing team's targets are going
straight into the Arena.

Oh, man, when it comes
to communication,

we're gonna let CT
take the reins, and Tina.

I'm gonna take the width
of this wishbone

and make it as,
as thin as possible.

pick up four sandbags,

bring those back,

do a second round of that,

pick up four more sandbags

and put them on a balance beam
and arrange them

until they're
perfectly balanced.

The name of all of these games

But we still need to try to win,

because if we can win,
we can leverage our power

that can be paid back later
when maybe we need them more.

and CT was the person
who sent me home.

Literally, my last image

of being on the Challenge
floor was losing to CT.

I'm very nervous right now.

I can honestly say this.

When Era One, when we get mad,

we yell and we scream
at each other,

it's because we care

and we want to win.
I love Era One.

I don't want to go in,
but I knew going into it,

there was a risk
when I nominated myself

that that could
potentially happen.

This is a time
that we would like to hear

if you do know
anything about it.

There's some strong groups
in this house,

whether it's admitted or not.
One of them has a name--

it's called
the vacation alliance.

That is a vicious rumor
that has swept the house.

And again I will publicly say

number one, right here,
it's a girl.

I feel like you
have made it clear

in other ways,
whether it's official or not,

that you have
other people's backs.

If you really want
to talk about deals,

let's talk about the one

that you and Nehemiah
proposed to me and Tori

that we didn't take.

I know nothing about Nehemiah

trying to cut a deal with Devin.

But this, again, is why
I hate this part of the game.

Because even though
we're both targets,

he's speaking for himself
and not for me.

And that has to be clear.

and we decided together

we could not promise

So you guys can call Era Three

if you try

it was actually

jamming them in
closer to the wall,

making them harder to pull out.

So following her technique

pushed me back a little bit,

so apparently Tina had
a little more frustration

than I did.

She figured out
a technique that was

fast and effective and...

I'm so bummed.

I've never lost
an elimination round,

so I'm trying to take this

with my head high.

It made me feel a little better
that the guys

couldn't do it either,
but to be with

this group of people
has meant everything.
