[Skate Into Love]

[Episode 12]

Run 50 laps for punishment.

Timing and Subtitles brought to you by the Skating Love 💖 Team@ viki.com

Get up! Look alive!

Do you know why I punished you guys?

From the day you guys joined the national youth team,

you are no longer from a specific university or a specific club.

The only one you are representing is China!

Understood?

Understood!

The ice rink is like a battlefield.

We need soldiers and we need a general. Each with their own duty.

In hockey, who is the general?

Center forward!

Very good.

Next, we'll separate into groups to train.

Based on your performance in the next training session,

I'll determine who will be the Hockey China Youth Team captain.

[U20]

Today, the winning side is Li Yubing's team.

This year, the captain of the China Youth Team is Song Anjie.

The first training session for today ends here.

Dismissed.

Coach Wang.

I want to ask... Is there something that I'm lacking in?

Look at the results. Go home and think carefully about what happened.

[Technical Chart] [Li Yubing scored with no assisting players]

[Coach Xu]

Hello, Coach Xu?

Yubing, how's it going? Are you getting used to it?

I...

Old Jin, let's go.

Let's go and come back quickly, I still need to make training plans for the team later.

Xiao Xia, don't be in such a rush. We rarely get the chance to eat together.

Here.

What? Your button's lopsided?

It—

Big Xu,

I'm eating dinner with Xiao Xia tonight.

Should we bring some dog food (leftovers) back for you? (T/N: dog food also refers to showing off PDA.)

No need, you guys go ahead.

What's wrong with him? He doesn't seem like himself.

Maybe he's worried about Li Yubing.

This... Let's just go eat.

For today, why don't we just—

Coach Jin, you're still here.

I want to discuss Yu Yan with you.

But I have an appointment with a lady today.

But this is a very urgent matter.

How urgent?

It's okay, Yu Yan is more important. Old Jin, why don't we go eat another time?

I knew Coach Chu would understand.

- Xiao Xia, listen to me. Xiao Xia... - Another time.

Coach Jin.

Are you trying to make me stay single forever?

Recently, haven't you discovered Yu Yan is not the same?

He seems the same. Yu Yan has always been someone with few words.

Coach Jin, you are really obtuse.

Your emotional reflexes are so slow...

You could circle the earth three times before you realized what's going on.

Haven't you noticed that recently, Yu Yan is always with Tang Xue from the short track speed skating team?

I'm not being a gossip. I'm just concerned that Yu Yan won't be able

to focus on training because of Tang Xue, and that it will hurt his performance.

I really haven't noticed that. But in terms of practice,

Yu Yan has always trained very diligently and he hasn't slacked off.

That's good then.

I'm not trying to nag, but for a star athlete like Yu Yan, we need to be more careful. Right?

It'll be better for the club's publicity in the future.

That's it?

It was just this little matter?

Our Coach Jin has worked hard.

You ruined my life.

Have fun at dinner.

Is something on your mind?

How come you're here? Sit, sit.

Yubing didn't get chosen as the national youth team captain this time.

If he didn't get chosen, it's not a big deal.

Captains and teammates are the same, they just need to focus on playing well.

I don't care about whether he got chosen, I care about why he didn't get chosen.

His technical stats say he only knows how to breakthrough individually,

he doesn't know how to organize the entire team.

They said he's not a good center forward. This is clearly my fault for being a bad coach.

The strength of one's character will show when in a crisis. (T/N: idiom: sturdy grass withstands high wind)

Li Yubing would have to go through this sooner or later.

You went through it, too. He definitely can, too.

That's true.

Right! Weren't you going to eat with Coach Jin?

Yeah, but you interfered with it.

I have stewed pork ribs at home, how about...

Pork ribs again?

Although I haven't had it in so long, I actually want to eat it again.

Let's go.

Tang Xue!

Yu Yan.

You practice extra every day? How can you hold up training this much?

It's all thanks to you for teaching me how to relax.

Now that I can relax my body, my performance is a lot better.

I'm glad I could help.

Oh right. Tomorrow's the weekend, do you have any plans?

Practice. What about you?

I want to see a movie.

With who?

Myself.

Yourself?

I haven't seen a movie in years.

I just want to go and see a movie.

Do you have time to come with me tomorrow?

Sure. Then I'll watch the movie with you in the morning and train in the afternoon.

Let's go.

- Hi, Coach Jin. - Have you seen Coach Chu?

I saw her talking with Coach Xu on the track field. They were talking pretty animatedly.

I think something's going on with them. They might get back together–

Nonsense!

Just after talking for a little bit, they'll get back together?

You're too young.

Let me tell you, just focus on training.

Don't observe your coaches all the time. You hear? You can go now.

Okay, then I'll head out. Bye, Coach Jin.

Okay.

No way.

How's this one? "Player Two." Just from the title it sounds pretty good.

I think it sounds kind of boring.

What about this one? This Murderer Is Not Calm.

That sounds so scary. Let's choose a different one. What about this one in the middle?

21 Carats?

Sure, let's see this one.

Let's go.

Do you think he'll say he's excited first or...

He'll say excited first.

But I think...

Start. I'm nervous

Yeah!

Do you want to play?

I've never played it before. I just think it looks cute like you.

When you play this kind of thing, there's always a strategy.

I'll show you.

Try again. Machine three continues. Master Tang, Master Tang starts.

I'm nervous.

♫ This moment has a scent like honey, it is the signal you are giving me ♫

♫ Your embrace is like an island engulfed by a warm breeze ♫

♫ The first time I was certain of your feelings, ♫

This is a rip-off. Trust me! They definitely rigged this. They're just swindling people. Let's go.

I want to try.

If I can't even do it, you shouldn't bother wasting your money.

I just want to try it.

I'll let you try it, just to say you did it.

♫ it’s a promise you’re giving me ♫

♫ The courage to hold you tight and never be apart again ♫

♫ Loving with no reason when I met you ♫

You guys were way too slow.

And the defensemen are completely disconnected.

Defensemen, you guys can't keep up.

There's no urgency.

The game is coming up soon; we have no chance of winning with this kind of attitude.

Bing-bing, score a few more goals. Make us brothers proud.

Take care of yourself.

Just get the puck and score more points, that's all you need to do.

I told you not to get so many. This is so wasteful.

Do you know how cheap these things are at the market?

This kid doesn't even know how to use a smartphone.

How come he's so good at playing the claw machines?

- Hello? - Hello?

Yu Yan, hold this for a second.

Hello?

What's wrong?

Li Yubing probably butt-dialed me.

Which ones of these do you want? Pick some.

I just want this one.

This one?

Okay, give me the rest then.

I'll head up now.

What's this?

- Where did you get– - Yu Yan got them from the claw machine.

Don't drop them.

- Where are these from? - Let me tell you!

Geniuses are geniuses in everything.

Can you believe this is his first time playing a claw machine?

Seriously?

Yu Yan?

Yu Yan? Yu Yan is good! I support it.

Support what?

I support you guys dating.

Don't be ridiculous. He's just a kid.

Then you are volunteering to care for children left behind.

It's just because since Yu Yan was little,

he always trained and never got to have a childhood like we did.

As an older sister, I'm just helping him to

make up his missed childhood.

Fallen petals have the intention to follow the brook.

However, the brook is uninterested

- to love the fallen petals. - Don't read so much when using the restroom.

Which one do you want? Pick any of them.

Mine.

I only like this one.

Mine!

I only like this one.

Why do you want mine? This cat is mine.

Yu Yan.

Coach Jin.

Do you have some time to talk?

Oh, sure.

Are you dating Tang Xue?

I-I... Not yet.

Not yet?

You know your mom has placed all her expectations on you.

She wants you to focus on training and become the world champion.

She doesn't want to see you distracted by other things and forget about figure skating.

I haven't. I'm still training diligently.

I won't disappoint you guys.

Remember what you're saying now, that you won't disappoint us.

Huan-huan, you're here?

Wow, you're already at this point?

How is it? Is it okay?

This is so impressive. How did you find this place?

I heard our department chair is always feeding stray cats around here.

So I sought him out and told him about our plan. I didn't expect he strongly supported the idea.

He even requested the school to give us this area.

You're incredible.

It's not much. Come in and see if there's anything we can improve.

Leader, everything is prepared for you inside. After you.

What's wrong with your hand?

It's just a scrape; nothing major.

Let me see.

Why are you looking at me like that?

How tall are you?

!'m... 178cm.

Today you're 190cm.

I'm going to paint the inside walls again, then I'll add the furniture and it'll be like new.

I'll help you.

After we finish painting, let's go have some coffee. My treat.

Thank you.

Here you go. Careful, it's hot.

We finally finished painting.

Now, we just need to wait for the Home for Homeless Babies to officially open.

Thank you for making this happen.

Your cat is so cute.

This?

Master Tang gave it to me.

Did I hear it wrong? Master Tang doesn't like that kind of thing.

Yu Yan got her a ton of plushies from the claw machine. She gave all of them to me and Ye Liuying.

What a waste of his energy. She gave them all away.

I think Master Tang is a better fit with Li Yubing.

Li Yubing?

He's such an overbearing guy. Yu Yan is so much better. He's sweet and gentle.

Yes, he is gentle. He's so gentle that he can barely stand on his own.

Guys just don't get it.

Guys like Yu Yan, that can bring out a girl's maternal side,

is perfect for girls like Master Tang, who has a strong desire to protect.

Let me tell you... This is because girls don't understand.

Master Tang's personality is one that has to be conquered.

Yu Yan can't do it. It has to be Li Yubing.

Why can't Yu Yan do it? He's clearly the better choice.

Li Yubing, conquer? Please.

How about this? Let's make a bet.

We'll bet on whether Master Tang will like Yu Yan or Li Yubing in the end. Do you dare?

What'll we bet on?

[Tang Xue liking Li Yubing/Yu Yan]

[Check from: ]

Whoever wins, can write down any condition on this check. Are you game?

Who's scared of who? I'm telling you! You're definitely going to lose.

I'm definitely going to lose?

Just get your cash ready. Here, right?

[Check from: ]

[Xia Menghuan]

[Liao Zhenyu]

Our Master Tang hasn't eaten dinner yet.

Please take care of her on behalf of us good friends.

Ice God, a friendly reminder: Master Tang mentioned you these past few days.

I guess she missed you. Call her more often.

Missed me!

Tang Xue!

You probably haven't eaten dinner yet. How about we have a meal together.

I have a game to watch in a bit.

I don't think I'll make it in time.

- Then I'll bring some back for you. - No need for it to be a bother.

Let's find a restaurant with a television.

- Okay. - Let me pack up.

Boss, we want to order.

Coming! Wait a second. This is a crucial moment.

Boss, could you change to the sports channel?

A girl also watches a sports channel?

This drama is so good; it's so touching.

Have you ever loved me?

- Never. - Never.

Ashes of Love fan.

- I've already watched it twice. - I've seen it five times.

I even memorized all the lines. It's just that every time I watch, I cry.

So heartbreaking.

Since we are both fans,

- can I ask you something? - Go ahead, my fellow fan.

I really need to watch an important game tonight. Can you switch to

the sports channel?

- Sure, sure. - No!

- She is a fan. - No way.

- We are all fans. We must help. - No!

- Give it to me. - No.

- Give it. - No.

- Are you giving it or not? - If you don't let me watch the show, I'm not cooking.

I'll cook.

Here you go.

Which game is so important?

U20 Invitational Tournament. Li Yubing is in it.

Remeber to watch my game.

Waiting to watch your game.

Good luck!

Good luck!

This is the Sino-Korean Youth Ice Hockey Invitational Tournament

U20 level game. This is also

the China Youth Team versus Korea Youth Team.

- Will Li Yubing play? - Yeah.

Where is he?

That one.

The camera is from such a long distance, everyone looks the same yet you can tell right away it's him?

In my eyes, he always has a dog head.

Team China is attacking from the left. Team Korea from the right.

Now a special introduction of No. 19, Li Yubing.

It's his first time on the national youth team.

From his performance in the college ice hockey league,

he's skilled with distinctive features. He has a swift movement on ice.

Li Yubing, give your best! Everyone is watching.

Ready for the face-off is the captain of Team China, Song Anjie.

Li Yubing, go get them.

Only two minutes left. The score is 2 to 3 right now.

China Youth Team is one point behind.

Go for it, our young hockey players!

As long as you can make it to overtime, there's a chance to win.

You can do it, Li Yubing.

- Pass! Left! - Left!

Song Anjie, shoulder-checking, forces a way out.

Coach Wang trained him well. He didn't let us down.

There's a gap! Chance! Pass the puck!

- Pass it! - Pass the puck!

Pass!

- Pass! - Pass it!

Time is up. Game over.

China Youth Team lost the game by one point.

We hope the team regains their confidence soon after losing the first game.

At the same time, improve cooperation with the team. Guard against arrogance and rashness.

Right. We hope in the near future the young players will make us proud.

You really consider yourself an Ice God?

He wasted such a perfect opportunity.

Hey!

Losing a game is not just your problem. It's our problem.

But you don't trust us, your teammates. That's your problem.

Ice God.

You yourself don't even know how much you care about him.

[Zhang Yuewei]

Hello.

It's normal to lose a game. Don't take it too personally.

I know. I'm okay.

Really?

Don't worry. You know me.

I'm not easily defeated.

I'm going to rest. Goodnight.

Goodnight.

I watched the game. Overall you played well.

I just need to knock on your dog head. Why didn't you pass?

You wasted several good chances.

Dog, it's okay to lose.

Failure proceeds win. There's always the next game.

I think you just don't trust your teammates. You should have passed the puck.

Trust...

Li Yubing, did you take pity on Team Korea?

You have to change next time.

Your last attack.

Why didn't you pass the puck?

Where's the chemistry with your teammates?

- I'll say... - Old Jiang, I'm reflecting.

But I'm waiting for a call.

I'll talk to you later.

- Bye. - Hello?

[Xiao Xue]

Who placed the phone here? Who's calling at this time?

- Xiao Xue? - It's Xiao Xue.

Hello? My daughter, did something happen?

You were expecting me to get into trouble?

No, it's not like... It's quite late and you called so I thought... Hey!

Xiao Xue, did you spend all of your money again?

Don't worry, I didn't.

Then, did you miss us?

You should trust me when I say it.

Okay, back to business.

Are my elementary school photo albums still there?

Photo albums? Yes, they're still there. They're in a box under your bed.

What's wrong?

Then, Mother, please help me with a small favor.

Can you send them to my school tomorrow?

Losing a game is not just your problem. It's our problem.

But you don't trust us, your teammates.

That's your problem. Ice God.

How's Li Yubing doing lately?

Don't mention it. He's still sulking because of the loss.

He...

just asks too much from himself. Competing with himself every day.

That... Bing-bing

doesn't have friends since he's in a new environment so he will feel helpless.

Don't worry too much. He is strong enough.

He'll be back on track once he gets used to it.

Do you think we should...

do something for him?

Do what? What can we do?

All we can do is to secretly watch him from over here.

Secretly watching over him?

Okay.

Today, we'll do one-on-one training. Everyone, split into pairs.

Captain, come over here for a sec.

Pair up!

This is the record of our recent training.

You can see...

Let's go.

Have a bite.

Then, go back to your home.

Shortie doesn't know when it's time to stop eating.

What are you doing?

Classmate, come here! Classmate, come here!

Come here quickly.

This is a wonderful moment. Now let's welcome our founder,

Xia Menghuan, to unveil Home for Homeless Babies.

Ready!

Three, two, one! Unveiling!

[Home for Homeless Babies]

I'm here to announce that Home for Homeless Babies officially opens.

Let's welcome our founder, Xia Menghuan, to say a few words.

I have something to say.

Thank you, classmates, for actively volunteering.

For the creation of Home for Homeless Babies, I have to especially thank one person.

Liao Zhenyun from the Medical School.

He handmade these

shabby shelters for our homeless babies.

Also, we're giving big thanks to our Master Tang!

Starting today,

- we'll become angels for these homeless babies. - Okay!

From now, I'm also

the Master Tang of these homeless babies.

Didi? Didi, play on your own.

So pretty.

Mater Tang, petting a dog?

What is it?

If you have time, shouldn't you focus on your major courses?

You've already delayed many courses.

Especially the ones from Hawkeye. If you continue to delay them,

what if you don't pass, your graduation will be a problem.

But, Sister Huan,

right now, there is only one thing important to me.

To officially join the speed skating team.

So, the rest of the homework,

lectures, attendance. I'll leave them to you, okay?

Right? Let's tell Huan-huan, "right." Let's cheer her on.

Pinch my philtrum for me. (T/N: traditional way to bring back one's consciousness)

Pinch my philtrum for me.

I've made a horrible friend.

Oh right! You got a delivery at noon. I helped you put it on the table.

Why didn't you say so earlier?

- Hey!! - Master Tang.

Master Tang!

Where is she going?

I told her she had a delivery.

So exaggerated. I thought she needed to use the restroom.

Finally, I received it.

Coach Wang, are you looking for me?

Come.

What happened between you and the other team members?

Perhaps because I didn't pass the critical puck. They aren't happy with me.

Then, how do you see it?

They don't understand me well enough.

My strength is to attack and I'm a good shot.

I didn't perform well last game. But for the next game,

I'll prove it to everyone.

You didn't perform well?

Li Yubing, you still don't understand.

You are not playing table tennis. Do you think you can do it alone?

I don't understand.

Should I pass the puck to someone who can't score as well as me?

Your individual skills are better than other people.

But do you think other people are useless?

If you don't understand how to work together,

that means you're not fully mature.

You haven't met the standard to be on the national youth team.

A person changes not because of other people.

You are in charge of your own changes.

Go back and think about it.
