Novoland: The Castle In the Sky

- Episode 12 -

"People will only remember successes,

and won't remember failures."

I now understand a little of what Royal Father meant.

He used Feng Reng to pressure me, so that he could make me, the hawk, suffer.

If I died halfway, then I would only have myself to blame,

and couldn't blame others, right?

There will come a day when you will definitely snatch back everything that should be the Wingkind Emperor's.

- Will you stay with me until that day comes?- Huh?

Me?

You definitely find it strange as to why I said these things to you.

I also can't think of why.

I once thought that I would never tell these words to anyone.

I also never thought that.

That one day, I would actually become friends with Feng Tianyi?

Only friends?

Since you're already here,

how about coming with me to pay respect to my Emperor Father.

Senior, look over there!

And there! That's where I live. What do you think?

This tree is very old!

After I left Stars Court, I've been living here ever since.

As the saying goes, the most dangerous place is the safest place.

I think Queen Bai definitely wouldn't think I dared to live here.

Senior, look over here.

Oh yes, also this!

You have quite the skillful hand.

No wonder you were able to fabricate Bai Xue's clearance token.

Thank you, Master!

What did you just call me?

You mean Master?

Oh, you don't know that on this entire Lan Continent, I idolize you the most!

I... I never thought that I'd get a chance to meet you...

and be able to talk to you. Are you real?

Let me touch you.

Sorry, Master. I was too excited.

You still don't know my name, right?

I'm called Yu Huanzheng.

Also, I'm begrudgingly considered to be a Wingkind noble.

Actually, Yu isn't my father's surname.

Because of my mother's low social status, the first wife of the household wouldn't let her enter the house,

so I just used my mother's surname. But that's not important,

because I'm not close with any of his relatives,

other than my big sister.

Don't think that just because you unlocked the Lover's Restraint that I'll accept you as my disciple.

Senior Jishu!

I earnestly and sincerely want to acknowledge you as my teacher.

You don't know how many times I have read the "Abyss of the Sea and the Sky"

In my heart, you're already my greatly respected teacher.

- Get up and talk.- No, let me continue.

You probably don't understand me right now. When you understand me better, maybe you'll be willing to accept me as your disciple!

Where... where was I?

Oh yeah, other than being close with my big sister,

recently I've also gotten to know another girl.

- Her name is Yi Fuling.- Wait a minute.

Did you say you also know Fuling?

Yes, do you also know Sister Fuling?

Nonsense. She is my daughter, how could I not know her?

Yo-you are Yi Qianji?

You didn't die?

I-I... w-what is going on?

I'm hungry.

I'm hungry!

I'll go right now to prepare something tasty.

Being able to do something for you is a fortune that I have earned from several lifetime of cultivation.

My Lord, Regent Shezheng has changed all the servants in the Qi Yang Palace!

All of you get out!

Get out! Hurry up!

Tianyi?... What's wrong, Tianyi?

Say something, you're worrying me!

Royal Father left me the Order of the Golden Feather, which can take command of the imperial guards,

even Feng Reng didn't know of its existence before.

This was originally the last card I held to deal with him.

But, he already knows now.

Look, he changed all the servants.

He clearly has other things in mind.

We need to think of a plan to snatch the Order of the Golden Feather!

Snatch? How are we supposed to snatch it?

Since he's already done it, he definitely would have done it cleanly, without a single trace.

Then what do we do?

You should go back.

- I'm not going back.- Didn't you say you were leaving?

I...I want to stay and accompany you.

Then you should go back (to your room) first.

You are...?

You broke a promise.

It's you.

But I didn't even agree to anything.

Besides, I don't even know who you are.

I'm called Nan Feng.

I am the palace musician.

The Regent loves music.

Even he must give me some degree of respect. So I especially brought my zither here to play for you.

But since you don't appreciate it,

then forget it.

Wait!

My words were a little disrespectful earlier and offended My Lord.

because today my heart is in turmoil.

If Lord will not mind it, how about still playing a tune for me?

- How was it?- At the start, it's like the sun brightly shining up above.

In the wind, there are bells lightly ringing.

Right, it's a wind chime.

But afterwards, it sounded like rain.

Like blades cutting through the sky and startling the wind chime.

The mixing of the mournful sound of the blades and the sound of the windchime

is like hate and admiration, like sobbing and complaining.

Just like...

Like what?

Just like someone sitting under a windchime

waiting for the woman he loves.

But... that woman... can never come back.

I indeed wasn't wrong about you.

What is this song called?

Yin Meng. (Bed of Dreams)

Everything started from a dream

and was destroyed by a dream.

But so what if you dream?

Probably you can only destroy it yourself.

I feel that this song is not good.

Why is it not good?

Too much strength invites insult. Too much intelligence leads to self-harm.

Too much attachment and persistence in a relationship will lead it to not last long.

Although, this tune started soft,

toward the end, it has this

force, like breaking up a golden stone. It's too much.

What's bad about being too much?

Too much is of course bad.

Anything that's too much usually doesn't last long.

You don't believe me. Try playing one more tune.

I've learned something from you.

With this good sense of hearing of yours,

you must also be good at playing the zither.

My sense of hearing only improved recently.

The Lady and I seem to be kindred spirits.

How about I do you a favor?

A few days from now is the Regent's birthday.

This song, "Yin Meng" is his favorite.

If Lady can learn this song well and play it for him

and he likes it, then he will agree to any request you make.

Really?

Really... really any request and he will agree?!

Even if you ask for his head,

maybe he might give it you.

I'll leave this zither with the Lady.

Goodbye.

Princess, look.

What's that?

It looks like... it looks like a kite.

Last time, when Miss Yi sent off Du Ruofei, she used this method.

Yi Fuling? She's still hasn't left?

Hurry and get that thing down.

Yes, Princess.

Princess, I've brought the kite.

(Memorial Kite for the hawk, Qingfeng)

Qingfeng? It's Qingfeng.

He even told her about Qingfeng already.

You went back on your words?

I'm sorry.

But... I really can't leave yet.

Why?

Because... a few days from now, it will be the Regent's birthday.

I promised to play him a zither tune. And also, I promised Tianyi.

Wait! What did you call him? Tianyi?!

- We are only friends.- What a good friend!

Can you listen to my explanation first? It's like this.

- I want to help him get an item back.- I don't want to listen to your explanation!

You!

Princess, this Yi Fuling is so annoying.

We must think of a way to teach her a lesson.

I'm the distinguished lady of the South Yudu City's Xue family. Why would I fuss over Yi Fuling?

If this got out, wouldn't I become a joke?!

Of course. But Princess, even if you don't want to fuss over her,

you can't allow this wild girl to step over your head.

Stop beating around the bush. What do you really want to say?

Princess, you're magnanimous. But as servants, we really can't watch this anymore.

I do have an idea.

When was it ever your turn to interfere in my matters?

Yes, Princess.

Princess, I will definitely vent this anger for you.

Young Master, you're like the bright moon in the sky.

Shining on my moat-like life.

But a bright moon should be accompanied by the stars.

A moat in the end is still a moat.

Maybe you already can't remember the "tears will melt the cinnabar" of the past.

But I hope that in the future,

You will remember "Flying flower returns to earth, on the string of Heaven."

Miss Yi, you're really so beautiful today!

When His Majesty sees it, maybe he'll be so happy, he'll just make you his Empress.

What's good about being an Empress? Rather than being an Empress, it will be better to be the Regent's wife.

In this palace, who doesn't know that it's Regent who is the most powerful?

What rubbish are you saying?

Alright already. Go and get my zither.

Yes.

- This skirt is quite long.- It looks quite pretty. It's not too long.

This... what happened here?

What's wrong?

This zither... I clearly used ice silk for the strings.

This... who did this.

Enough already. What's important now is not to find who did this,

but to quickly look for a new zither.

I know where we can get one!

How about I go borrow it for you?

Fine. We can only do that for now.

Stop!

Since Royal Uncle isn't even coming,

what's the point of having this birthday party?

Let's break it up.

Miss Yi arrives!

What are you holding in your hand?

I'm here to play the zither for Regent Shezheng.

Why did you come here, take her away!

Yes, Your Majesty!

Let go of me! What are you doing?

The zither!

Greetings, Regent!

Greetings, Regent Shezheng!

Feng Reng: Wingkind Clan Regent Shezheng

Nan Feng?

Regent Shezheng...aren't you Nan-

No one can touch my zither!

Let go of her!

Feng Reng, don't forget that I'm the Wingkind Emperor of South Yudu City. I order you to let go of her!

Go away!

Regent, please calm down. Ms. Yi is just new here.

Even if she made a mistake, it was not intentional.

It doesn't matter if she had intention or not,

today she must die!

You!

Just letting her die like this,

is letting her off too lightly.

It's already been long ago since My Xuanqin Hall (Announcement of Diligence Hall) has a female master.

What are you doing?

Feng Reng!

Let me down! Let me down!

Let go of me!

The first time, you destroyed my dear music.

The second time, you broke your promise to me.

Do you know how you're going to repay me?

If you want to kill me or cut off my flesh, do what you want.

Besides,

I will definitely not comply with you.

Did you think your face

would really make my heart pound?

You can't compare to her even just one bit.

Your Majesty, you can't go in.

Do you still see me as your Wingkind King?

Get out of the way!

Tonight, I'll kill any gods or deities that will block my way!

Then don't blame me for being disrespectful.

Regent has arrived?

Why are you here?

Tonight's events,

I don't know if Regent had planned it long ago.

Regent and that Yi Fuling looks like they've known each other long before.

But Regent is not a womanizer.

Today, you and Feng Tianyi fought in front of everyone.

It seems that you are telling the world that you are the Wingkind Emperor.

Looks like I don't need to wait for Feng Tianyi's 20-year old Spreading Wings Ceremony anymore.

You heart is too anxious.

I'm not intentionally figuring out Regent's intentions.

But you also saw with the matter of Du Ruofei

that this Feng Tianyi is set to kill me.

Don't worry. The things you want,

are also the things I want.

But this time, I won't be doing such a stupid plan like sending assassins.

That's why you must not act unilaterally again.

I will rely everything to Regent's plan.

Feng Reng!

Feng Reng! Come out!

Tianyi! Tianyi! How come you're here?

What are you doing? Are you crazy?

Have you gone crazy?

Yes, I have gone crazy.

I like you like crazy!

I like you, did you hear me?

If you're not blind, you should have seen it long ago.

I don't care what Feng Reng did to you.

You're mine!

Tianyi, don't be like this.

We...haven't known each other for very long.

- The most important this is-- What could be more important than you?

and

We still have a long life ahead where we can understand each other.

Sure enough the things us uncle and nephew like,

have always been exactly the same.

Yi Fuling is a person!

But,

She broke Yi Meng's zither.

Asking her to die ten or more times is not enough.

Now that you are fighting with me,

now i'm interested in her

Do you think, all matters of the world are the same?

We have to rely on snatching to obtain things we want.

It really makes one feel touched.

Feng Ren, don't go too far.

At most I'll just fight you to the death,

to let you meet a miserable end!

You're not that great.

it's not as serious as you think

All along the feelings of man and woman should never be wishful thinking.

Here, we have been fighting for a while.

Shouldn't we stop to listen to Miss Yi's opinions?

What do you mean?

let Yi Fuling decide

if she chooses you, then tomorrow i can pass an edict to crown her as the queen

i can also forgive what happened today.

i'm not sure what you're trying to play

but i won't leave her here with you

let's go

i'm not leaving

what did you say

i said i'm not leaving

Greetings Your Highness. What you want is what I want too.

But this time it will not be as foolish as sending out an assassin.

so you're saying you choose me

One will be the queen who will look over the world and the other is a nameless female official.

you're such a smart person

What has he taken to threaten you?

i am still the king, he won't do anything to you

So what if you're the king? Feng Tianyi, you're too much.

since the day we met

you've been bullying and using me

now that you say you like me, I have to leave with you?

who do you think I am?

if you like, you play with me a bit

if you don't like, you throw it away?

Or do you suddenly need an extra maid to look after you?

is this how you think of me

how else?

do you really like him?

do you know him?

do you understand him?

of course

Tonight, I originally wanted to play the zither for him.

This song, it was taught to me by him.

Fine.

Then you two have a good time.

I am the one who has been a fool.

what happened?

i think i twisted my ankle

let me see

don't touch

i think i can't walk anymore

then

then what?

carry me?

okay, let's go

Look at the clouds in the sky. They look so free.

They can be whatever they want to be.

If you could help me get one,

that'll be great.

what?

i remember i use to look at you carry Yi Fuling

she says she wants the sky's clouds

you would say, no matter what she wants

you'll help her achieve it

Bien Hwa

since your leg is injured, rest here a bit

Tell me where the flower is, I'll look for it myself.

aren't we already here
