Novoland : The Castle In The Sky

- Episode 10 -

Are you admitting defeat?

I never thought that Jishu would admit defeat either.

Why? Are you afraid that I will seize your daughter?

Eighteen years ago when you abandoned me, how come you never thought of this?

Eighteen years ago, how come you never thought of today?!

The matter that happened 18 years ago, why can't you let it go?

Besides, you already married General Cen's son.

You call that being married?!

Actually, I never wanted to be queen.

It was you who pushed me step-by-step toward the throne.

I needed to use General Cen's power to get that throne.

Did you know, every time that man tried getting close to me, how disgusted I felt?

So it was really you who killed him, right?

I don't need you to be concerned about my business!

Right now, with this precious face of yours, I just wish that

you'll watch me, step-by-step, get up from that place where I fell down.

Just watch how I take over the Lan continent!

Never again is anyone going to abandon me!

Not ever again!

[Xue Zhong: Xue Family's Household Servant]

Princess?! Greetings, Princess!

- Greetings, Princess!- Greetings, Princess!

You never saw the Princess here, understand?

Princess, over at Master's house...

To the Master, even the most loyal of people,

once they're dead, they become useless.

Xuezhong understands. Don't worry, Princess.

My Lord,

- please restrain your grief.- Thank you for bringing him back here.

My Lord, Ruofei's body was sent by Princess Feishuang.

It was probably because Princess went against you a few days ago, so she felt bad about it.

You knew it very clearly.

No matter what,

we still got to see Ruofei one last time.

Princess Feishuang still treats my Lord quite well.

I don't want to hear about that today.

What is actually going on?

Your Majesty, this is the Yu family's retainer, Mister Qiuting.

Mister Qiu's character and medical knowledge are worthy of credibility.

He's already examined Ruofei's body.

What has Mister Qiu discovered?

In response to Your Majesty, on the surface, it appears that Master Du was fatally wounded by way of bow and arrow,

But actually, the lethal method was really the poison on the arrowhead. It's called the Walking on Snow to View the Flower Plum.

That's why after death, he bled from the seven orifices in his head.

Walking on Snow to View the Flower Plum? What kind of poison is this?

This Walking on Snow to View the Flower Plum does not pertain to walking on real snow.

Plum refers to 'blood' as in fresh blood. As soon as the victim bleeds, (Homonyms of "xue" meaning 'snow' and 'blood')

the poison immediately seeps deep into the body and the internal organs, and becomes incurable.

Such a powerful poison actually exists? How come I've never heard of it?

It's because the poison is so dangerous, that you could accidentally poison yourself and lose your life.

That's why ten years ago, the former emperor ordered it to be banished.

Since the poison has resurfaced,

the only possibility is...

Is what?

- This...- No matter what happens,

you have the protection of the Wingkind Emperor.

Responding to Your Majesty, the ones who researched and created the Walking on Snow to View the Flower Plum was the Xue Family.

Xuelin...

Your Majesty! I didn't say anything, Your Majesty!

Your Majesty! I'll go right now and seize this usurper!

I'll avenge Ruofei!

Stop! If you go straight for Xuelin, do you think he'd confess?

We must avenge Ruofei's death.

But to go against an extreme person, we need to use an extreme plan.

Imperial Guard Bei, we haven't seen much of His Imperial Highness lately

and I don't know what His Imperial Highness could be busy with.

His Imperial Highness was in such a good mood, he currently went out hunting.

Hunting?

He is apparently hunting a hawk.

Lord Xue, His Majesty is in ill health today,

and asks that you come to Qiyang Palace to attend him.

Attend to him?

Is Lord Xue not willing to go?

Feng Tianyi, what tricks are you up to?

Looking at Your Majesty, you don't seem to be very sick.

Appearing before the Wingkind Emperor, how come you're not kneeling?

After going on a campaign, my legs now have disabilities so

I can't kneel.

Xuelin, do you even have half an ounce of the manners needed between master and servant in your heart?

Calm down, Your Majesty. I came, this time, to attend to His Majesty.

Do you know what illness I have?

If I didn't guess wrong, the attempted assassination against Your Majesty on the way back to South Yudu City and

along with the recent death of Du Ruofei, that it's probably a heart ailment.

You're wrong. You, thorny traitor against a monarch, are my heart ailment!

Guards!

Boy, I have been in battlefields half my life.

What situation haven't I seen?

This battle formation right now might not be taken seriously by me.

Minister Xue's position is high and your power is great. You killed Du Ruofei.

The usual means wouldn't be able to deal with you.

I thought about it over and over and realized that only today, here at my Qiyang Palace,

can my words be final.

A dead person can never talk.

When that time comes, whatever crime I accuse you of

will be your crime.

But Your Majesty, don't forget.

I am an important subject of South Yudu City.

A lot of people saw me enter Qiyang Palace, standing upright.

But then, they see me leaving lying down.

May I ask Your Majesty how you plan to shut the mouth of these people?

By that time, everyone in the court will feel that they are also in danger.

Then the Regent will be able to replace Your Majesty so easily.

So then, I'll just stand here today and wait for all of you to kill me!

You!

You're being very arrogant today.

Even if I can't kill you now,

you think you will have a good ending in the future?

I'm standing here today to tell you

that Du Ruofei was indeed killed by me.

If he hadn't interfered, the one who would have died would have been you!

Even though I admit to all of this, what can you do to me?

It's just you... against me!

Wait!

Minister Xue... I've waited for these words of yours for so long already.

Greetings, Your Majesty.

You four are the most respected people here in South Yudu City.

Earlier, Minister Xue personally admitted that he tried to assassinate me and killed Du Ruofei.

Did you all hear it clearly?

- We all heard it very well.- We all heard it very well.

Good. Imprison Minister Xue now and inform Regent about the execution order.

- Yes!- Yes!

Feng Tianyi, you dare to frame me?!

Minister Xue, you're kidding me. You've been on a battle horse half your life. What kind of situation haven't you seen in your life?

How can this small trick of mine be able to frame you?

Drag him out!

I thought that you'd not come anymore.

You... how come you look so much like him?

Look like who?

Master Jishu. I saw a painting of him in Stars Court.

You can't be... There's no way. No way.

If he was still alive, he wouldn't be your age.

And he's so capable. How could he be locked up in here?

But because you look a lot like him, I will definitely help you unlock these.

Can you unlock it?

Don't belittle me. Since the last time I left here,

I kept trying to recall the solution to the Lovers' Restraint as written in the "Abyss of the Sea and Sky".

In the end, I remembered it all.

Good thing that you didn't hear anything.

Hear what?

It worked!

The second door, meeting again.

Third door, falling in love.

Fourth door, pledging of love.

- Fif--- Fifth door, oath.

Staying together.

Splitting. Fork in the Road. Reunion.

I know it already. Have you also read the "Abyss of the Sea and Sky"?

You must have been caught illegally reading the book and that's why you were locked up here.

Weird. How come I seem to have forgotten the tenth door?

It's not that you've forgotten it. It was never written in the book, to begin with.

The pestering of love will only stop with death.

The life door is also the death door. The death door is also the life door.

Don't try to pull out the thorn in the back of my neck;

rather, push it towards me and then try turning it counterclockwise.

That I must not do. You will die if I do that.

Hurry up. If she comes back later, the both of us will die.

But...

Hurry!

The Lovers' Restraint was invented by Master Jishu.

How come you know all about it?

What do you think?

Could there still be a second Jishu in this world?

You... I-I... I...

Hurry and go now. They'll already be coming here later.

But if we go out through here, we will still be in prison.

Can a normal prison keep me locked in?

Elder! Wait for me!

Customer, we're already closed.

Give me one more pot.

Pay first for the wine you drank.

When did I, the Crown Prince of Shuang City, ever owe anyone money?

Boss! He claims he's the Crown Prince of Shuang City.

Shuang City has no more Crown Prince already.

Bai Tingjun has already been driven out of the city by Her Majesty, the Queen.

Boss, could it be really him?

There can't be that much coincidence, right?

Hey, do you have money or not?

Ling'er...

- Ling'er...- Men! Catch him!- Don't go.

I'm going to go find Ling'er.

Beat him!

Yes!

Beat him! Beat him to death!

Stop!

Stop! Get away!

Young Master...

Get up.

What are you guys doing?

He ate, drank, and didn't pay money. He was trying to escape!

Here's the payment then! Let's go.

"Shadows will rise from the extinguished light, tears will melt the cinnabar.

The Flying Flower returns to earth, on the string of Heaven."

What does that mean?

Only by understanding these phrases

can I protect Ling'er.

But I've been thinking about it hard for so many days and I can't make any headway.

Shadows will rise from the extinguished light...

How can there be shadows when the light has already been extinguished?

You Majesty's plan is exquisite.

Xuelin definitely can't escape.

Aside from my royal seal, there must still be Fengren's Vermilion Signature of Approval.

As long as the Vermilion Signature of Approval is not yet given,

I cannot relax at all.

Greetings, Your Majesty.

Is it Royal Uncle telling you to come send the execution order?

His Royal Highness said that an execution is too unpleasant.

Please have a look at this letter.

Yan Jing, on the 15th year of Tianyuan, accepted bribes and for it, judged a case for personal gains.

Cui Yanwen, on the 3rd year of Tianyuan, corrupted disaster funds and took bribes.

Liao Yingcheng, on the 8th year of Tianyuan--

Enough! What does Royal Uncle want?

The Duke said that Your Majesty relies a lot on these four people.

They are indeed important subjects of our government.

But when people are in their positions, how can they have no lusts and wants?

It is true that these men committed these crimes. If Your Majesty doesn't believe it,

you can personally send someone to investigate them.

- What has that got to do with the execution order?- Tongmu, shut your mouth.

If the crimes of these 4 ministers are made public,

they would be immediately imprisoned.

In this world, who would believe the testimony of a prisoner?

But the Duke is considering the fact that they have made numerous contributions to South Yudu City,

so it's up to Your Majesty if you also feel pity for them.

Royal Uncle uses benevolence and morality to govern the world.

Do you think that I only know how to degrade my subjects?

Imperial Guard Pei, I'll have to trouble you to go to Royal Uncle and retrieve the Death Order.

Yes. I'm thanking Your Majesty for your grace on behalf of the four ministers.

All these foods are Tianyi's favorites.

Why has he still not come?

When is the Wingkind Emperor's imperial carriage coming?

Your maid went to ask many times yesterday,

but I didn't even see His Majesty's face.

That's not possible. I used a lot of effort to get back Du Ruofei's body for him,

and he's not even going to thank me?

He said it already. Didn't Xiang Congling already inform you that His Majesty--

I want him to personally come.

Have you asked the Minister of Affairs? What has the Wingkind Emperor been up to lately?

I think he's always been with the new arrival, Miss Yi.

Yi Fuling again. Get out.

Yes, Princess.

You're quite daring! If I hadn't interrogated Xuezhong today,

I wouldn't have known that we were keeping a backstabber in our household!

The person saying that should be me!

Brother, you're quite daring. You dared to try to murder the Wingkind Emperor!

You still want to say...!

If Regent Shezheng hadn't helped out today,

you would have been receiving my dead body!

I just wanted to let Feng Tianyi send off his comrade,

I didn't think I'd harm you. Brother, I'm sorry.

You're sorry? Just a word of apology is enough?

Is your family name even Xue?

It's because my family name is Xue, that I didn't want you to take the Xue family too far,

to a point from which we won't be able to turn back anymore. Who in South Yudu City now doesn't know that

once Brother had Regent Shezheng's support, you stopped having any respect for the Wingkind Emperor!

It was supposed to be the two Feng and Xue families who'd take over the land.

Why then must South Yudu City end up in the hands of the Feng?

Besides, you shouldn't interfere with matters between men.

Don't think I don't know what you're thinking.

Let me tell you, I won't let you marry him.

Your family name is Xue, my family name is also Xue.

Just like how Feng Tianyi's family name is Feng, and Fengren's family name is also Feng.

Everyone knows that Fengren is cruel. Do you think that once he gets the power,

he will give our Xue family half of it?

Brother, you need to think clearly about this.

What can the Xue family really rely on in the future?

After everything that has been said,

you're still doing things for that Feng Tianyi.

So what if I am?

Just like what you said, the Xue's are one of Wingkind's most important officials.

Just beneath one person, but above tens of thousands of people.

My identity as Xue Feishuang is much revered.

Dare I ask, in this world, other than the Wingkind Emperor,

who else can match with me?

Feishuang, don't blame your brother for not warning you.

If Feng Tianyi, that brat, had you in his heart,

why would he keep pressuring our Xue family?

When there's already no skin, where will the fur attach itself?(If an object loses its basis for living, it can't survive)

You should know that with the Xue family, you're the revered Princess,

without them, you're less than nothing.

Who let you in here?

How come it's you?

Yu Tongmu said you were in a bad mood.

I'm just here to check up on you.

The matter with Ruofei...

Let's think of a plan.

Think of what plan? I don't want to see you right now, go outside.

- Tianyi! - Go outside.

Tianyi...

Stupid girl, stay with me.

Tianyi, I'm here.

The Seven Star Lantern is a relic of Stars Court.

If you can pass through the Seven Star Lantern, you can take a peek at all the mysteries of the universe.

If, once the lights are out, you still have a shadow, everywhere under the sun,

there's probably only you.

My Lord?

What are you doing?

I... How come you're here?

When you said you were going to the tavern, I felt like something was off.

Then I saw you changing into nightwear.

I thought even more that there was something amiss.

Why did you come to the Seven Stars Temple?

"Shadows will rise from extinguished light."

The lights are right in front of your eyes right now.

It's now up to what you decide.

What are you talking about?

Are you crazy? The Seven Star Lantern is a symbol of the Lan continent's peace and good health.

How could you do that?

I knew you wouldn't have the heart to do it, that's why I did it myself.

If God really wants to punish someone,

then let him punish me.

You're really foolish!

Who said that the light from which shadows will rise represented the Seven Star Lantern?

How could you know if you don't try it out?

Besides, currently Lan continent's good health has already been shattered,

then why don't I shatter it completely, and know the truth!

You can't!

You can't do this!

My Lord!

You audacious maniac! You actually dared to break the Seven Star Lantern!

Master!

Tingjun, how come it's you?

I...

So you're conspiring with her?

I'll deal with you later!

- Let me explain! - Get out of my way!

My Lord, quickly go and shatter the lights!

My Lord, if you don't decide quickly, it'll be too late!

Bai Tingjun!

My Lord, think of Miss Yi!

My Lord!

Don't continue to do wrong!

My Lord!

You sinner!

My Lord!

Seven Star Lantern?

This...

Timing and Subtitles brought to you by The Dawn Of Gods Team @ Viki ϟ

I think there're people in the forest, let's go take a look!

Yes, sir!

My Lord, are you alright? My Lord!

My Lord? My Lord! My Lord!

I dragged you into this, I'm sorry.

That flower...

must be a clue.

My Lord! My Lord! Why?

What's this ruckus you've caused in the middle of the night?

Are you going to let anyone sleep?

This... This... How could the Seven Star Lantern be shattered?

This... What have you done?

This shattering of the Seven Star Lantern isn't auspicious!

But, it isn't the sky falling down.

If there's a problem, let's discuss it tomorrow. I'm going to sleep first-

- Senior Uncle! - Senior Uncle! Senior Uncle!

The Cluster Amaryllis has appeared.

What Cluster Amaryllis? Which Cluster Amaryllis?

Is it that Shuang City Crown Prince's maid?

- It isn't! - She's quite pretty!

She did come here. But I'm not talking about her.

But I'm talking about the real Cluster Amaryllis.

It's the one that blooms in the deep abyss, the Red Spider Lily.

Are you speaking the truth?

Junior Brother Yufei and I witnessed it with my own eyes.

When the Seven Star Lantern fell, we were shrouded in pitch darkness.

At that moment, a blood-red flower appeared.

It's the one from the legends, the Cluster Amaryllis.

The Star Flower Deity Amulets are lost, the Cluster Amaryllis has awoken,

thi-this means that the God of Shooting Stars Flower is going to come out!

I just know that the pair of Yin and Yang Amulets need to meet in order to awaken the God of Shooting Stars Flower.

This Stars Court is only in charge of guarding the Yin Amulet.

The Cluster Amaryllis wouldn't have something to do with the Yang Amulet, would it?

I only know a little about this relationship between the Cluster Amaryllis and the Star Flower Deity Amulet.

I invite Senior Uncle to provide an explanation.
