on moments like this.

When you think about it,

we're looking
at tomorrow's connection

to the past,

and spending that time
together,

sharing these moments,

we all get stronger.

Daniel: Out for a walk.

- And where's Grandma?

- Home.

Started off okay.

Small talk, catching up,

and then Grandpa said
something without thinking.

Grandma snapped at him and...

she pulled the plug
before it got worse.

- I missed them.

- You missed them.

[sighs]

I gotta ask, why?

- [shuddering breath]

The wish.

- That well's been eating
a lot of your time lately.

Family time, school time.

Can't some wishes wait?

Ruby: Yes.

[sniffs]

They all feel
like emergencies,

like, if I waste a minute,
I'll miss the moment.

Ruby: [shuddering breath]

- [sniffs]

Ruby: Sometimes
all you can do is reach out

and hope that the other side
reaches back

so that your strife
turns into strength.

It was great

to be a part of Sam and
his mom's big healing moment,

but what about ours?

Our healing turned back
into hurt.

[door clicks closed]

It's a kind of hurt

I've been feeling
a lot lately.

Letting people down,
letting my family down,

it's all been just too much.

But never again.
