into thin air.

I mean,

Ruby: I doubt it.

She was engaged
to someone else in town

at the time.

Seb: Okay, but...

- He was 17 years older
than her.

Mina: But, I mean,
if they were in love,

how heartbreaking would it be

to lose your fiancé
like that?

And what does that have
to do with the wish?

Seb: Wish?

to work out well.

Seb: Had to be.

And I think I know how, too.

The wooden box
that Great Gambini used

likely had a classic
mirror illusion

combined with a trap door
that allowed Evelyn

to switch places
with the dove.

[dove coos]

Seb: Evelyn slid down
through a trap door

just as the magician
opened the box.

And the dove flew out.

[running footsteps]

Ruby: So, if Evelyn did use
the tunnels to escape,

then she could have never
been seen again?

- Yeah...

if there are tunnels.

But I can't seem to find
the trap door,

so, they must have been
paved over.

That's too bad.

- Yeah.

would've collapsed
