=Lady Revenger Returns From the Fire=

=Episode 24=

Zong Wei's birthday is two days away.

I am going to Baili Gorge to visit him

so that he may bless me with great success.

You go and prepare the offerings.

Yes.

This time,

only a team of elite guards go with me.

Remember.

Keep a low profile and travel discreetly.

I see.

Your Highness, allow me to guess.

Visiting Zong Wei is but a ruse, and getting the map

is your real intention, right?

You are clever.

I think

now that we just obtained the developing water,

shouldn't we lay low for a while

before going to get the map?

That will be safe.

No.

Xu Chengfeng has died,

and the minister has returned.

Even if Shen Zishan and Shen Danqing

try to tell the minister that I have had the developing water,

it will take several days.

Doing things

by surprise is the best choice.

I see.

You're wise.

(Shen Mansion)

This is the winery's ledger

and the formulas

of Rose Liquor and Chengfeng Wine.

Now the winery has taken off.

With you and Shuixian helping Zishan,

I will be relieved.

Miss.

Are you not going to manage the winery anymore?

I'm afraid I can't.

Prince Yi has had the developing water.

I don't know when he will go to get the map.

He will surely use many cons.

I must watch him closely

and can't miss the chance.

I must catch him red-handed.

But it's too dangerous.

You cannot act alone.

Mr. Qin is right.

Danqing, I will go with you.

The house and Escort Agency need you.

You have many things to do now.

Don't worry. Tianhao will go with me.

I must

avenge Xu Chengfeng.

Chengfeng died for the two of us.

Speaking of revenge,

I must be in.

We must obtain the map at any cost.

The two of us

must personally bring Prince Yi

to justice.

Mr. Shen, Miss Shen.

Why are you here?

I have important things to tell you.

Come with me.

Yes.

(Tomb of Zong Wei)

Your Highness.

This is where I saved you

when you were little.

I've buried you here.

I've finished what I started.

Zong Wei.

You won't blame me, right?

Today is your birthday.

This is your favorite snack.

In this life, I feel guilty about you.

Remember to find me in your next life,

so I can make it up to you.

(Unexpectedly,)

(he looks so sad for a personal guard.)

I feel safe only when hiding the treasure map here.

That's because I know

you will guard it well for me.

I won't let you sacrifice

(Tomb of Zong Wei) in vain.

Congratulations, Your Highness. You're gonna get what you want.

Xu Chengfeng.

Y-You're not dead?

Your Highness, you didn't expect this, did you?

Know the game, and you'll live. Break it, and you'll win.

In the game between you and me,

I am the true controller.

Well played, Xu Chengfeng.

You actually conspired with the minister

and faked your death to deceive me.

As for this conspiracy,

I am no match for you.

Heaven knows you're insatiable and ignoring the law,

so it gives me the opportunity to set things right.

I've annihilated the skilled fighters

you ambushed.

Surrender immediately!

I've already obtained the treasure map.

Who can stop me?

Your Highness, cease your futile resistance.

After all, you are a royal relative.

As long as you turn back in time and hand over the stolen goods,

and given His Majesty's benevolence,

perhaps he will spare your life.

Please do not make yourself

doomed eternally.

Carve a bloody path through them.

I'll give you a substantial reward.

Kill!

(I can't leave.)

(I'll have a chance if I follow Prince Yi.)

It's Chengfeng. He isn't dead.

Mr. Shen, Miss Shen.

Please come with me.

Where to?

To meet the general.

What did you say?

The general isn't dead.

He's in Baili Gorge.

The general is going to catch Prince Yi red-handed.

You mean Xu Chengfeng is alive?

Yes.

No time to explain.

Let's go to Baili Gorge.

Once you see him, everything will be clear.

Danqing.

Miss.

He's not dead.

You're not dead.

I promised none of us would die.

Xue'er, give me the treasure map.

Danqing, be careful!

Don't move!

Don't hurt her!

Let Luo Xue'er go,

and I will release her.

Don't.

Release her!

Your Highness.

Give me the map.

Don't give it to him. He's desperate now.

You'll meet a dead end with him.

Shut up.

He trusts me.

I will not betray him.

Even if I have to run with him,

I am willing to do so.

Danqing, are you alright?

Your Highness.

I swear to follow you to death.

Good, I can grant that wish.

Stop them.

Charge!

Take good care of Danqing.

Charge!

I have to admit

you were right.

Desire has blinded my eyes.

I confuse right and wrong

and trust the wrong person.

My entire life has been a mistake.

It is time to end this.

If you can turn back,

it will not be late.

One mistake

leads to more.

How can I continue to live?

Do you remember the painting father left for us?

No matter what happens,

we will always be sisters.

Father.

I mistook him.

And I mistakenly killed him.

I have committed sins in this life,

and I will make it up in my next life.

Very impressive.

You keep your martial arts well hidden.

Why are you so persistent?

If you help me obtain the treasure to divide

and rule the nation with the current emperor,

you will be a founding official.

It's more prestigious than being a mere general.

If I had such intentions,

why would I trick you in prison?

I've fought against you for so many years,

but you still don't know me well.

No matter whom you serve, you have to bow.

If you want more,

I can make you king.

Cut the crap.

I have already told you.

I will capture you, a rebel,

and bring you to justice.

Fine.

Today will be your doom.

Your Highness.

You're caught red-handed.

Surrender.

Chengfeng, why did you deceive me?

Why did you hurt me?

I'm sorry, Danqing.

I made a bet with myself,

betting if I could come back to life.

Fortunately, I won the bet.

My oversight fails you, minister.

Chengfeng.

If you hadn't hidden Shen Danqing's identity,

things couldn't have ended up like this.

I made a mistake.

Right now,

we must act.

It's not too late.

We act?

Have you thought of a remedy?

It's a last throw of the dice.

I'm willing to exchange my own life

for the ultimate victory.

Are you saying

you want to sacrifice your life?

Firstly, I'll tell Prince Yi

that the developing water will not work in less than half a month.

The treasure map he tried to obtain

might be a worthless piece of paper.

Then I let him know

that only Danqing can make the developing water.

He will surely seize the only chance.

In that way,

Danqing will be safe.

Only you could come up with

such an elaborate plan

under adverse conditions.

Minister.

To make

Danqing produce the developing water quickly,

he will try every means to expedite the case closure.

By that time,

I just need to admit guilt

and kill myself.

This is the best method.

Once you are dead,

this case will be closed.

I'll have to leave Liao City.

This way, Prince Yi will be even more unrestrained

and might slip up.

Are you thinking

of finding a chance in desperation?

Exactly.

Mr. Miao has a miraculous medicine.

It can make one hold their breath, feign death, and preserve life.

I hope that you can get it for me.

It's indeed a good plan.

But you'll be in danger.

There must be no mistakes.

And we're not sure if the drug will take effect in time.

I cannot guarantee your safety.

Chengfeng.

You must carefully consider it.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

As a strategist,

I can make use of everything,

including my body,

my life, and death.

Chengfeng.

You must survive.

(Zong Wei's poison is very potent.)

Fortunately, Mr. Miao's pill protected me.

It was a near escape.

I've been in a coma for days

and finally come back to life.

Only then did I have Tianhao notify you.

You promise me.

Never do this again.

Never break my heart again.

Never leave me again.

Okay.

Okay.

I promise you.

In fact, I was not very sure

if I could survive.

But I believed

I could certainly do it.

You gave me the courage.

Me?

I have never been defeated in battle.

In the past, I did it with my solitary courage.

But now, things change.

Now, I rely on you.

I promised to spend our lives together.

I must keep my promise.

Rest assured,

I'll never leave you alone in this world.

It's all in the past.

Thank the heavens

for letting us meet again

I promise you.

I will never leave you again.

(Danqing Winery)

(After Miss Shuangshuang met her mother in prison,)

she seemed different.

She's learning winemaking at the winery.

Hopefully, she truly repents.

Can't seal it.

The fermentation time is insufficient.

It'll affect the wine's quality.

What do you know about it?

I've always sealed the original liquor

after the same fermentation time.

It never goes wrong.

This year is cold.

Fermentation time needs to be longer.

You can't be so inflexible.

How long have you made wine?

Are you teaching me how to do my job?

She is right.

- Miss. - Miss.

If we want to ensure a consistent taste of the original liquor,

the fermentation time

needs to be adjusted according to temperature changes.

But some customers

may want different tastes,

so the wine brewed at the same time each year

can have the same fermentation time.

I see.

The fermentation time of the original liquor

depends on what kind of finished wine the customers need.

Correct.

So neither of you is wrong.

Alright, dismissed.

Go back to your work.

Yes.

Let's go.

You two, follow me.

Miss Shen, thank you for rescuing me

and for letting me stay to learn winemaking.

You're welcome.

I'm sorry. It's all my fault.

I'm sorry.

Alright, have a seat.

I wonder if I could ask a question.

You ultimately suffered because of us.

Are you truly willing to forgive us?

You were arrogant and selfish before.

But now, you've changed.

You've suffered what you deserved.

Isn't the purpose of punishment to reform oneself?

Since the purpose has been achieved,

why must I put you in prison?

Thank you, sister.

Thank you for pleading for me

and helping me avoid prison time.

Anyway, everything has passed.

You seemed professional when you brewed wine.
