=Lady Revenger Returns From the Fire=

=Episode 14=

(Luo Jida's Spirit Tablet)

Father.

Bin.

I'm back.

I'm finally in charge of the Luo family.

I'm not so far

from completing my vengeance.

I must punish the evil

while upholding the good.

I will make Luo Xue'er pay the price

and plead guilty

to clear Luo Ailian's name.

I will make our family's

wine business prosper.

(Luo Jida's Spirit Tablet)

As for Shuangshuang,

I am her elder sister.

I will set her life on the right track

and live up to your expectations.

Miss.

Miss, Young Master has prepared a celebration feast.

Let's hurry back.

How is Luo Shuangshuang doing at the suburban estate?

She has been taken care of as you instructed.

And no one confines her.

But she ran away on her own.

What?

She must not trust us.

She doesn't know how to survive out there.

I should bring her back.

I promised Ms. Zhou

to treat her kindly.

I can't break my promise.

Besides,

you investigate the Xiao Winery

in the neighboring county about 20 years ago.

I want to know everything about this winery,

and all the details of the Xiao family's downfall.

And also the connection

between the Xiao family and Luo Xue'er.

Furthermore, you investigate

the Luo family's arranged ghost marriage with the Du family.

These two matters must be investigated covertly.

I need more details.

Yes, Miss.

I am Luo Shuangshuang.

As long as you can save my mother,

this gold hairpin will be yours.

That's all?

This is all I have now.

But my mother has money.

As long as you can let me see her,

she will find a way to get the money.

Ms. Zhou is a major criminal.

This gold hairpin is not enough.

You need to give me extra 50 taels.

Then I will let you in.

50 taels?

But...

But this is all I have now.

I am almost out of money for food.

Where can I get 50 taels?

You better hurry up and find a way.

If your mother gets executed,

it will be too late for regrets.

Mother.

Shen Danqing has taken over our suburban estate.

She has no good intentions.

I have nowhere to go now.

What should I do?

Today is not only the day

Danqing took over the Ganlu Brewery.

It is also her birthday.

Two happy things.

I'd like to propose a toast to her on behalf of everyone here.

Congratulations on getting what you wanted.

I hope everything goes well for you in the future.

Thank you. I hope you're always happy.

Come on.

- Miss. - Raise your cups.

Give a toast to her.

Let's do it.

- May Miss Shen stay young and happy. - May Miss Shen stay young and happy.

Thanks.

Today is Danqing's birthday.

You miss her, don't you?

If you have anything to say to your sister,

just tell me.

Alright.

Danqing.

Today is your birthday.

I miss you very much.

I promise you

that I will take revenge on the murderer who killed you.

If I can't do it,

let me bear the torment of a burning inside me

and suffer a sharp pain.

How could you say that?

If Danqing knew you are unhappy,

she would certainly be regretful

and not rest in peace.

You are not her.

You don't understand.

Yeah.

I am not her.

But I care about you just as she did.

Seeing the person you care about in deep pain,

I would rather suffer in his place.

I wish you happy.

That is not just my wish.

It's also a wish made on behalf of your sister.

You told me

that I could be myself

with you by my side.

I also hope

that your life can be carefree.

Okay.

Vengeance must be taken.

I also want to live without worry.

For Danqing.

And for you too.

I'll take care of you for your sister

and make you always wear a smile when you're with me.

Young Master.

Young Master.

Found it.

For the poison on the Know-it-all's hidden weapon,

the antidote is the Xinggancao Herb.

This herb is precious and rare.

Not many stores in Liao City sell it.

Okay, tell the armed escorts

to find out who has bought it from yesterday till now.

Send a message to Xu Chengfeng.

We'll meet him later in General's Mansion.

Okay.

The murderer who poisoned Danqing

is about to be exposed.

Let's talk about the details on the way.

Okay.

(General's Mansion)

The poison Know-it-all was afflicted with

is indeed the Blood Night Bloomer.

So the person who killed Know-it-all

must also be the one who hijacked the cargo

and poisoned Danqing.

And this person

is hidden among those who bought the Xinggancao Herb.

So we can only wait for the list

from the investigation of Mr. Miao and the armed escorts.

That way we can pinpoint the murderer.

General.

It's the list of those who bought the herb.

Among them, a man surnamed Xiao is the most suspicious.

I guess Mr. Miao and others have

found the buyers for Xinggancao Herb.

(List of buyers for Xinggancao Herb)

Xiao Wei? How could it be him?

He works for Zong Wei.

Could it be

that he is the murderer?

With his ability, he couldn't kill Know-it-all.

Xiao Wei?

Zong Wei?

Prince Yi.

So it all makes sense.

He bought the antidote for Zong Wei.

Based on the person who could use both Dissolving Powder

and the Blood Night Bloomer,

Know-it-all found that Zong Wei was the murderer.

Before she told us,

Zong Wei killed her.

And Zong Wei was injured as a result.

So he sent his man to buy the antidote.

I didn't expect

that the murderer who poisoned my sister was Zong Wei.

He can't get away with it.

Although Zong Wei did it,

the mastermind behind this must be Prince Yi.

At that time, apart from His Majesty, Prince Yi and some ministers knew

that the Shen Escort Agency was transporting goods.

Without the support of Prince Yi,

Zong Wei couldn't have received the news in advance.

Nor could he have planned it so flawlessly.

I thought that Prince Yi came here

because he personally opposed me.

Unexpectedly,

he was the mastermind,

and tried to destroy the evidence

to hide the fact that he murdered and stole the treasure map.

So we learn

that Prince Yi sent Zong Wei

to poison my sister, lure me away,

and secretly steal the treasure map.

Then he spread false information to the bandits to ambush

and confuse people.

Exactly.

The female bandit got the information and went to plunder the cargo,

only to find that the box was empty when she returned to her place.

They did not know that this was a ruse by Prince Yi and Zong Wei.

Instead, they thought your family had stolen the goods.

Kill two birds with one stone.

The two of them

are so vicious.

So the priority is

that we need to find a way to lure Zong Wei out.

If he fires the poisoned silver needles,

he needs a special launcher.

Let's catch him red-handed.

But Know-it-all is already dead.

We have no proof.

It's not easy to lure him out.

Your Highness.

How are your injuries?

Thanks for your concern.

I have found the antidote

and felt better.

It was my fault.

I underestimated Know-it-all

and fell for her trap.

You discovered

that Shen Zishan had contact with Know-it-all

and killed her promptly,

Otherwise,

she would've handed over the evidence and clues she found

to Xu Chengfeng and the others.

You didn't handle this neatly enough,

but you did your job well.

After you stole the treasure map,

I deliberately lured the female bandits to plunder the cargo

and let them take the fall.

Up to now, I've been uninvolved.

So, before decoding the treasure map,

do not make mistakes again.

Yes, Your Highness.

Zishan, I have a method we can try.

Lv Zhu?

Actually, Zong Wei doesn't know

that every time Lv Zhu sends messages through a homing pigeon,

I have intercepted and read them.

You mean

we use false information to lure him out?

Exactly.

I can write to Zong Wei in Lv Zhu's words

to tell him that Know-it-all left a letter

behind the Shan Hall's plaque.

A letter containing evidence pointing to Zong Wei and his associates.

Then we'll set up a trap for him.

We're sure to catch him.

Miss Lv Zhu, are you looking for me?

General Tianhao, I saw your gauntlet was damaged,

so I sewed it up for you.

Try it on.

Well...

This is...

When I was a child, I hated to wear clothes with patches.

My family was poor and had no money for making new clothes.

So my mother would

make the patches look nice.

So I would like wearing them.

You're good with your hands.

I can only sew a patch on them.

General Tianhao.

We will have plenty of time.

I will teach you later.

Okay.

Wait a second.

Two stitches to go.

I will do the rest.

(The letter mentioned by Lv Zhu?)

(Know-it-all left the evidence before her death?)

(Terrible. If this isn't totally resolved,)

(the issue of stolen treasure map will cause a stir.)

(Half a year ago)

Young Master!

Young Master, something terrible happened.

Miss Shen is poisoned at home.

Her life is uncertain.

What?

How could it happen?

Mr. Lin, you go on

and transport the cargo.

After I make sure Danqing is safe,

I will try to catch up with you.

But remember.

Do not open that box.

The client doesn't let others know what is inside.

Got it?

Yes.

- Be careful. - Be careful.

Giddy up.

His Highness's plan was perfect.

I can't let anyone find anything because of my negligence.

Xiao Wei!

Find two skilled men.

There's something important to do.

Yes.

Zong Wei, it really is you.

You poisoned my sister.

Be careful!

I will snatch the crossbow.

It's engraved with your surname and family crest.

If I find that the poison on the silver needle is Blood Night Bloomer,

it will be conclusive evidence.

Neither you nor Prince Yi can escape.

- Zishan. - Zishan.

Zishan.

Zishan.

Zishan.

Zishan.

Zishan.

Mr. Miao, how is Zishan?

I have exhausted all my medical skills.

But I can only make him live one day.

One day?

Only one day?

The poison he suffers is the same as Danqing's.

Fortunately, I just used silver needles to seal his major acupoints

to prevent the poisoned blood from harming him.

I used calming incense to sustain his life.

He can live until dawn.

If he fails to take the antidote before dawn,

I'm afraid

he has little chance of survival.

What if he has my blood?

When Danqing was poisoned,

Zishan gave her his blood,

prolonging her life by half a year.

You can't.

Don't forget

you two aren't related by blood.

I'll go and see if the medicine is ready.

(When did he arrive?)

General Xu.

Danqing, you and Zishan...

That's alright.

Miss Shen.

Since General Xu has already heard,

why not just tell him the truth?

General Xu, to be honest,

Miss Shen was adopted

by Master Shen.

It's not an important secret.

My father was afraid I would be mistreated,

so he didn't make it public.

I was impertinent.

I failed to catch up with Zong Wei.

So I thought of hurrying back

to discuss countermeasures.

But unexpectedly,

I overheard your conversation with Mr. Miao.

That's alright. After all, you're my friend.

We are just trying to find a way

to find the antidote for Zishan.

Zishan has less than a day to live.

Less than a day?

How was Danqing treated when she was poisoned back then?

Young Master found the Dragon Grass

to remove Danqing's poison.

But we can

hardly find the Dragon Grass

I'll think of another solution.

Danqing, don't worry.

Lv Zhu works for Prince Yi.

I've already sent Tianhao to keep a close eye on her.

We go to see her.

We might be able to get some clues.

Okay.

Why did you betray His Highness?

No, I didn't.

You delivered fake news to trap me.

If I didn't wound Shen Zishan today,

I would have been captured.

You didn't betray us?

No, I didn't.

Lv Zhu!

Lv Zhu.

Lv Zhu, hang in there.

Somebody!

Zong Wei did this?

Yes.

I'll help stop the bleeding.

Hang on.

No need.

The knife was poisoned.

I won't survive.

Sorry, I'm late.

General Tianhao.

Don't blame yourself.

I know that Mr. Shen has been poisoned.

Prince Yi has a pharmacy on Xisi Street.

It's specifically for Zong Wei to make poisons and medicines.

You can go there to find the antidote.

Go quickly.

Go ahead.

Tianhao, take good care of her.

Let's go.

Lv Zhu.

General Tianhao.

From now on,

no one will bother you anymore.

I've worked for Prince Yi for five years,

living every day like walking on thin ice.

Just staying alive

is already hard enough for me.

Now,

I'm finally free.

You did it all to keep your mother alive and safe.

So you didn't dare to defy Prince Yi.

You are kind,

and unwilling to harm us.

It has been tough for you.

In the past,

I had plenty of time.

But,

everything is impermanent after all.

I know

that I'll never see my mother again.
