=Lady Revenger Returns From the Fire=

=Episode 4=

What?

What?

Mother, what's going on here?

Calm down.

What happened?

I heard

only those who get wronged

will haunt everywhere.

Is it Mr. Luo

or Luo Ailian?

Nonsense.

Those who died can't cause any trouble.

Ghost.

Ghost.

She's back.

She's haunting.

Calm down!

Master got frightened,

saying nonsense to scare the guests.

Let's get him down to rest.

Ghost.

Ghost.

Miss Shen.

I'm really sorry strange things

keep happening today.

I think

we should talk about business next time.

Alright.

(Luo Residence)

What a pity.

The goods are damaged.

I couldn't do the deal even if I wanted to.

I will take my leave.

Since it can't be done,

please return the deposit, Miss Shen.

The contract has been signed, and the deposit is non-refundable.

Funny.

The goods haven't even left the Luo residence.

How dare you take the money!

Rules are rules,

but we can be flexible.

This deal was voided before it even got started.

So it's not breaking the rules.

What do you think, Miss Shen?

Guards!

Strange things keep happening here.

And now you break the promise

and want to play

the bully.

You might be laughed at if word gets out.

Who would know what happens

in the Luo's Residence?

What do you want to do?

Just the two of you,

do you think you can stop our guardians?

How do you know

it's just the two of us?

Even if all of your armed escorts

came to your rescue, so what?

Do you think we would be afraid?

Why don't you send someone

to the alley out there to find out?

Mother, don't waste our time.

Just go get the money.

You wretch! How dare you fool us!

Give the money back.

Who dares to move?

Nobody moves.

Mother, she hit me.

I'm really sorry.

I've learned the martial arts,

so it's just my natural reaction.

Madam, Miss Shuangshuang.

Those armed escorts

released some sort of fireworks

at the sight of us.

Don't know what it means.

To be honest,

General Xu Chengfeng has entrusted us to escort valuables

and has provided us with a signal flare,

saying if there is any trouble,

we could summon him at any time.

Shen Danqing, how dare you

threaten us here!

I can report this to the official.

Go ahead.

But didn't you tell me?

Who would know what happens

in the Luo's Residence?

You!

Oh, if next time there's such a good thing,

remember to notify me in advance.

Medical fee.

You!

Mother.

You just wait and see.

I didn't expect the Luo family to try to bully us.

Miss, you are so smart.

It's really delighted.

At that time, you quietly told me

to buy some fireworks,

and said to light them up once seeing the Luo's people.

I was so confused.

So you had

such a well-thought-out plan.

After you recovered from the illness,

you became more imposing.

Young Master.

Although they are not aware,

don't try to deceive me.

You went to Luo Residence

not for the business.

Right?

I stole the token

and made the fake command.

It is all my fault.

What exactly happened at the Luo Residence today?

Tell me everything

in detail.

You're right.

I went there

not for the business.

I knew they wanted to ship out distiller's yeast.

And this is the perfect time for me.

I had hidden phosphorus powder in advance,

and sprinkled the powder out

to make the candles in the ancestral hall explode

while offering incense to my father.

(Ms. Zhou, Luo Shuangshuang and Luo Jizhou)

(were bound to be scared out of guilt.)

What's going on here?

Mr. Lin.

These are

part of the distiller's yeast.

There's more over there.

(Not only so.)

(I had Mr. Qin sprinkle some lime into each jar)

(as he checked the distiller's yeast.)

Lime generates heat,

which can speed up the fermentation.

If it ferments too much,

it will produce a red substance of spoilage.

If the fermentation is sufficient,

the heat generated will burst the jar.

Ms. Zhou and Luo Shuangshuang

don't know much about winemaking,

so they'd never figure out why.

And Luo Jizhou, having done something evil,

couldn't remember anything in shock.

Do you know how dangerous this is?

You can get away with it

out of luck this time.

You might get caught next time.

Even if you don't get caught by the Luo family,

they might target the Shen family.

But my face has completely changed,

and my voice changed slightly.

And...

Enough.

Why is your obsession so deep?

You broke into the Luo family

with Mr. Qin,

but how can you ensure

the two of you could get out of it?

You led the escorts of the Shen Escort Agency

to fool the Luo family,

but how can you ensure

they won't

revenge us?

Exactly.

I admit.

I survive to revenge.

But please trust me.

I have prepared carefully.

Even if it costs my life,

I won't drag you

or the entire Shen family down.

♪Back and forth through the heavy encirclement of fate♪

♪How many can return♪

What are you...

Nothing.

I came to tell you

Mr. Qin sent the ginseng

that Miss Shen bought to Master.

(So she heard it)

(and remembered it all?)

Miss.

Just now, Young Master was a bit impulsive.

Please forgive him.

It's my fault.

I really did this

wrong.

I acted without telling him,

causing him to worry.

Let me tell you.

He really cares about the safety of the Shen family.

Half a year ago, when Young Master was escorting the imperial valuables,

he heard his sister got poisoned

and needed a blood transfusion to survive.

He rushed back overnight to save her.

But when he returned at dawn,

he discovered

the imperial valuables got stolen.

Young Master felt ashamed.

From then on, restoring the honor of Shen has been his mission.

He won't let anything happen to the Shen family.

I see.

(Looks like the road to revenge is tough.)

(I need to plan carefully.)

Sorry to let you suffer just now.

This can soothe you, so take it.

I am so useless.

Once I saw the room

full of blood-like distiller's yeast,

it reminded me of that night

when everything was ablaze as well.

Let bygones be bygones.

What should we do now?

The deposit Shen Danqing tricked away isn't much,

but the ruined distiller's yeast

costs a lot.

If we can't brew the birthday liquor for Mr. Li,

we will lose a large sum in penalties.

We need a batch of grain to make the brewing

and sell it to make up for the losses of the Ganlu Brewery.

The time and location of this purchase must be confidential.

It's best if only you and I know.

For caution's sake, you should go personally.

How much do you think today's events

have to do with Shen Danqing?

Why did so many troubles arise once she came?

Does she know anything?

I've already sent someone to investigate Shen Danqing.

She was a sick, undead woman.

I don't know what miracle drug she's taken recently

to come back to life.

The Shen family has never had any dealings with us.

And there's no way she knows anything about our family.

Does she really have a good relationship with General Xu?

If she said something to General Xu

and let him target us,

that would be a hassle.

She has absolutely no relationship with General Xu.

The armed escorts just let off the signal flare,

but the people of General's Mansion did nothing.

She got some inside information

about the General's Mansion from somewhere,

and tried to take advantage of us.

I will not let her off.

Take the medicine.

- Good. - Great.

Amazing.

Even General Xu, the so-called God of War,

is no match for you.

No.

Speaking of the demeanor and manner,

our second leader is better.

Big bro.

Thank you.

Big bro.

Goods are here.

Okay.

Let's go.

- Let's go. - Let's go.

These past days,

we've scouted all the strongholds around Liao City,

ruling out all female bandits' suspicion who might hijack the imperial valuables,

except

the sister of this second leader.

She's the only

female bandit who never shows up.

I'll ask him more about her.

If you follow my strategy,

you will surely unite

all the strongholds of Liao City

and be the king of the bandits.

Bro.

You really are my

think tank.

However,

why do you

help me?

What do you want?

Since that's the case,

then I'll just tell the truth.

Alright.

Having learned about your sister

hijacking the imperial valuables,

Tianhao, this guy,

admires her so much.

He wanted to be her husband.

I came to you

just to help him

pursue your sister.

Is that what you want?

What else?

I'm confused.

This female leader you mentioned who hijacked the imperial valuables,

I've also heard of her.

But she isn't my sister.

Who else then?

I heard it all from your men

that your sister

lives a secluded life

and never shows up.

She's the heroine who hijacked the imperial valuables.

Exactly.

What's wrong?

Sit down.

- Sit. - Sit.

Bro, to tell you the truth.

My sister is lame,

so she hides herself away at home

and never shows up.

And the female leader you mentioned,

no one has seen her.

Rumor has it

that she's one of top three bandits.

I trust you.

Come on.

Come on.

Let's drink.

Come on.

Drink up.

Drink.

The top three bandits are marauders who act mysteriously,

with meticulous thoughts,

adept at covering her tracks,

and only interested in easy pickings.

Both places are extremely remote,

seldom frequented by bandits.

But according to the records,

cases related to the female bandits

were in precisely these two places.

Ordinary bandits usually split the loot on the spot.

But this female bandit

is so cautious,

so their hiding place

must not be too close to the crime scene.

Regarding the cases about the female bandits,

all the victims mentioned one detail.

When this gang of bandits commit their crimes,

they always bring plenty of horses,

water and food.

In other words,

the distance from the crime scene

to their hiding place

is at least a day's journey.

Very good.

You've learned.

Point it out.

Where do you think they might hide?

Sha City.

Exactly.

Tianhao.

First, go to Sha City

to spread the news that a caravan will pass by.

Then we'll disguise ourselves as the caravan

and walk around there.

Let's lure them out.

I believe

these bandits

would take actions.

Got it.

(I must start with Luo Shuangshuang.)

(If something happens to her,)

(Ms. Zhou and Luo Jizhou will be anxious.)

(Then the Luo family will be in a chaos.)

(Baoyue House) Thank you.

Miss Shen.

My shop has a new batch of expensive perfume powder.

Would you like some?

I still have some perfume powder.

Miss Shen.

This perfume powder was shipped from the West.

(Luo Shuangshuang?)

The cost is high.

(What a coincidence.)

We won't stock it anymore.

Okay, I'll take a look.

Alright, please come in.

Miss Shen.

Please have a look around. I'll go get it for you.

Miss Shuangshuang, you are here too.

Miss Shen.

This is

the only one left.

The smell is really nice.

Yes.

A girl from the Escort Agency,

is always exposed to the wind and the sun.

How could she deserve such precious perfume powder?

What did you say?

Did I say anything wrong?

I'll take all of this perfume powder.

Wrap it up.

Well...

I'm taking it.

I'll pay double.

Triple.

Quintuple!

Alright, you got it.

Miss Luo.

I'll wrap it up for you.

Y-Y-You!

You did it on purpose!

What?

Buying something you love is priceless.

How could you say so?

You!

Miss.

You...

(Men's coats.)

You wretch!

That slap didn't hurt enough last time, did it?

Want to try it again?

Scared?

Miss Shuangshuang,

Master told us

to hurry back once we're done here.

Stop there.

What?

Pay the bill.

You, pay it!

Sir, check please.

Alright, this way please.

According to this,

Luo Jizhou is definitely going to buy more rice,

so he bought some coats.

He must be heading north.

According to the prepared food,

the only place

will be Lanling County

in Sha City.

Danqing.

Brother, you are here.

Thank you.

After Father took the medicine made with fresh ginseng,

he has now awakened.

That's good.

What were you looking at just now?

I...

You want me to trust you,

but you must trust me first.

I am now your elder brother.

I want to hijack the Luo's rice.

You still won't give up.

Exactly.

Distiller's yeast has ruined,

so they will definitely buy rice again

to brew.

I plan to hijack their rice

and cut off their way out

to put them in a difficult situation.

I already have a detailed plan.

There won't be any problems.

No matter how smart you are,

you can't guarantee that the plan won't go wrong.

I heard about Danqing being poisoned

from Mr. Miao.

Now I am one of the Shen family.

I understand the Shen family's situation.

And I will never do anything that implicates the Shen family.

Nothing is foolproof.

I'm sorry.

I still can't

risk the Shen family's safety.

Brother.

You'd never know

until it is done.

Why can't you just trust me once?

Just once.

(Seeing her being so determined,)

(if I still try to stop her,)

(I'm afraid she might take a risk.)

(I can say yes now,)

(and then she'd tell me the plan,)

(so I can control the situation.)

Okay.

I agree.

But just once.

Okay.

Deal.

Brother, look.

They've prepared coats now,

so they should be heading north.

Then it's only Lanling County in Sha City.

Keep up. We must arrive before it's dark.

- Yes. - Yes.

Miss, they are here.

What to do next?

Cut them off in the middle of the team.

One group takes the carts in front and heads east,

and another group takes the carts in the back and heads west.

Remember, no killing.

Just hijack the grain.

Meet south of the city after two hours.

Then we'll ship the grain

into the city in batches in disguise.

Go.

- Yes. - Yes.

Master, road hijack!

Protect the grain.

Oh no. Someone beat us to it.

Isn't there a rich caravan

passing here today?

Why is it a grain convoy?

Don't act rashly.

Just wait.

Is everything ready?

It's all hidden in the boxes.

Tell them all

to put on a play.

Don't reveal any flaws.

Yes.

General.

A group of bandits is hijacking ahead.

The leader is a woman.

Looks like our plan worked.

I'm afraid not.

Lead the team to keep up.

I'll go check first.

Giddy-up.

Bros, keep up.

- Yes. - Yes.

Hurry to protect my grain.

Master has fled.

Everyone, run!

Hurry!

Indeed some sluggards.

Never achieved anything.

As planned, you retreat first.

- Yes. - Yes.

Judging from the outfit,

he must be the one we want.

(General Xu?)

(I have to lure him away.)

(Or the armed escorts can't retreat.)

Giddy-up.

No. Although this man is dressed as a merchant,

he's quite agile.

Is it a trap set by the official soldiers?

We can't stay here. Retreat!

Giddy-up.

Giddy-up.

General, looks like the female bandit

has headed north.

She's injured and can't go far.

To the north is the Shen Escort Agency.

(Shen Residence)

Danqing.

Come in.

You got injured?

My arm's injured.

Everything goes smooth at first,

but General Xu suddenly intervened.

So I lured him away.

Mr. Qin should have already

transported the food to a safe place.

General Xu?

Xu Chengfeng?

Did he discover you?

He didn't see my face.

He probably didn't follow.

Forget it.

He's not that easy to handle.

Let's have Mr. Miao check your wound first.

Young Master.

General Xu Chengfeng is here.

He is waiting for you in the front hall.

General Xu.

General Xu,

what an honor to see you.

Zishan.

Long time no see.

General Xu, well...

Come on.

Don't be that polite.

Call me Chengfeng.

We were just kids back then.

And now you are a famous general.

I should respect you.

Don't be that polite.

But from now on,

we will meet a lot.

I'm here to inspect Liao City affairs,

so I will stay for a while.

Zishan, to be honest,

I came to your house

for a female bandit.

Female bandit?

However, this female bandit is bold and cunning.

She jumped into a river

to get away.

Your house

is the only place near where she can swim to.

I now suspect

that the female bandit

is hiding at your house.

How could that be possible?

Then why not call out all the females

to see if anyone

has wet clothes or hair?

There are only a few females in my house.

I would certainly not harbor bandits.

General Xu.

Don't you trust me?

Zishan, I didn't mean that.

I believe you would not harbor bandits.

But I'm also afraid

someone's hiding in your house,

and you don't know.

Enough.

You can tell when you call them all out.

Okay, I'm on it.

General, no one's hair is wet

and no one has a similar physique.

General, you can trust me now, right?

Let's go to Zuiyun Tower.

Zishan, I remember you have a sister.

The one in the painting, right?

Why haven't I seen her?

She has just recovered

and isn't a swimmer.

It can't be her.

General, there's no need to check on her.

Since it can't be her,

why not go check on her?

I can be relieved after it.

And you can prove your sister's innocence.

The best of both worlds, right?

What do you think?

I've been asking someone to get some hot water for me,

but no one...

Danqing, you...

Why is everyone here?

This is...

I'm Xu Chengfeng.

Xu Chengfeng.

That name

sounds quite nice.

I am Shen Danqing.

Don't be rude.

This is General Xu Chengfeng.

Don't come out dressed like this.

Go back.

Why can't I be dressed like this?

Am I supposed to dress up at home?

Besides, I didn't know there are guests.

General.

Miss Shen's hair is still dripping water.

Sharp eyesight.

I was taking a bath and calling for someone to get hot water.

No one responded, so they are all here.

Why are you

still staring at me?

Miss Shen, I'm running out of tea.

Please get me some water.

There are so many maids here.

Aren't they enough to serve you?

I'll do it.

No way.

Miss Shen has to do it.

Miss Shen.

Is that okay?

Sure.

So overwhelming!

(Her arm isn't injured.)

(Maybe she's not the one.)

Tea, General.

Thank you.
