to Gearbox Grove's 75th "vanniversary" party.

To honor our town's birthday,
the world famous artist, Carcel Duchamp

has created a special piece
of artwork on display this week only,

the Gear Sphere!

[all] Ooh! Ah!

Where's the statue
of our grandpas?

Over at the fire station
being fixed up.

It's been through
a lot this year.

Now it's time
to announce the winner of the vanniversary contest.

We asked all of you
to write down everything you love about Gearbox Grove,

and the winner wrote
a whopping 287 pages.

So if your arm isn't too tired
from all that writing,

Because you love
the town so much,

your prize is that you get
to be mayor for the day.

Oh, my goodness,
I get to be in charge of the whole city?

Does that mean
I get to make the rules?

Yes, but the mayor
is responsible for everyone in the town.

before you do anything.

I've always wanted
to be mayor.

I even have my own mayor hat.

I'm not sure mayors ever
wore hats like that,

but whatever you like,
you're the mayor.

Because of the barricades,
traffic's all jammed up.

telling other vehicles
to avoid the area until traffic clears up.

Traffic jam on Main Street and Hybrid Road.

as a ramp to launch the sphere over the traffic jam.

can open up and swallow up your shoppers,

build somewhere else.

Wetlands provide a home
to many animals and plants

that can't be found
anywhere else.

And all those plants roots
hold on to the soil,

-preventing dangerous floods.

When I'm done here,
the only flood you're gonna see

is a flood of happy customers
flocking to the Wrex Bulson Retail Palace.

But as you can see
in this illustration, the wetlands are not

a stable place
to build on because--

You told me that already, kid.
For a presentation about the wetlands, this sure is dry.

we'd lose our homes. -And so would our babies.

horrible if the ducklings lost their home?

I never met any ducklings,
so I couldn't tell you.

But I have met
a lot of vehicles that love going to fun places

with their brothers,
sisters and parents.

Places like my retail palace.

I can't believe
he still doesn't care about the ducklings.

[phone ringing]

[Eli] Hey, Buds.

We gathered a bunch of folks
at the Overdrive Cafe.

Has he bulldozed anything yet?

-Not yet.
-Did you hear that?

We can still
save the wetlands.

-[all cheering]
-We'll drive that bulldozer right out of town.

you built a nature center
Mr. Bulson?

What's that exactly?

Well, you leave the wetlands
as it is, making a safe space for the animals.

But you could build a little
visitor's lodge over there

With plenty of presentations
about the wildlife.

And a picnic area right here.

Where old and new friends
can gather.

You can even give tours.

I bet you'd make
