This is a notice to the community.
Due to a recent string of killings involving a suspect
known as the Moonlight Killer,
the county has enacted a strict curfew for all residents.
Effective immediately,
the curfew is in place
from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM daily until further notice.
Details of the curfew include,
no individuals are permitted
to be outside their homes during curfew hours
unless it is an emergency or essential work.
Law enforcement will be patrolling the streets
to ensure compliance.
Anyone found violating the curfew without valid reason
may be subject to fines or other legal actions.
Please, police are urging to stay indoors
and ensure your homes are securely locked.
Report any suspicious activity
to the local police department immediately
and be vigilant and take extra precautions
during nighttime hours.
Your cooperation is crucial in helping us
maintain public safety and bring the suspect to justice.
We understand that this measure may cause inconvenience,
but it is necessary for the protection of our community.
For further updates,
please stay tuned to local news channels
and the official police department's website.
Thank you for your understanding.
Five bodies.
All of them found with their heads so severely disfigured,
it was hard to make out who they were
until the dental records were looked into.
Whoever was doing this
was doing it with a rage no ordinary man could possess.
They were beaten, stabbed, beaten some more,
and eventually their heads were caved in
by what police only described as a blunt force instrument.
Because of the nature of the crimes
and because there were absolutely no leads on a suspect,
the local police issued a curfew for the town's youth.
No parties past eight o'clock,
no make out sessions in a car up at Inspiration Point,
no hanging in the park when the sun went down.
The killer used the cover of darkness as his main weapon.
And it only made sense
to keep things quiet under the moonlight.
But,
kids will be kids.
Of course we weren't giving up our summer.
Summertime was the only time it felt like
we could truly unleash all of the angst and anxieties
that school and our parents put on us.
It's when we could watch the sun go down
and come back up without missing a moment
of the night in between.
It's when the boys were interchangeable.
It's when the skate parks in the neighborhood streets
and the abandoned parking lots were our church.
And summertime was our religion.
We heard countless times from our parents
and teachers and the cops,
"There's always next summer."
Oh really? What about the victims?
They certainly won't be seeing the next summer.
And we weren't about to sit
and watch this one fade away.
Okay, so I have to tell you something.
What?
What?
Um, Boy Toy hit me up.
Oh.
I know, but we hadn't talked in like four months, so.
No.
I was doing good. I was doing good.
The point is that you're not doing good now.
Well, yeah, but.
What'd he say?
I don't know.
He just wanted to go to like,
a car meet and hang out or something, but.
Did you go?
No.
This is the part where Baby Girl tells me
she hooked back up with Boy Toy.
He seems to be her favorite summer fling,
but he gives me the ick.
This was our summer and nobody was going to ruin it.
No, it was actually nice
'cause we were just like, talking and catching up, so.
That's good.
- Yeah, but you know, it's- - Well, how do you feel?
I don't know.
I feel like we have to talk more
and I'll just like see where it goes.
But just for now,
since it's summer anyways,
I'll just keep it at that.
You know? - Yeah, I get it.
Glad that you're feeling better.
- Thank you. - Yeah.
Well.
Oh, what were you gonna say?
I was gonna say, at least I get to hang out with you.
Yeah.
We should definitely keep doing this
because I'm not gonna listen to the curfew.
I know, me neither.
They're stupid.
The last victim was stabbed 27 times and found in a river,
and the cops still don't know who did it.
What are you gonna do when you get home?
I don't know. I have some pasta.
- That's good. - Yeah, so.
That sounds good.
Just gonna take a bath and watch a movie
and get ready for bed, you know?
- Sounds relaxing. - Yeah.
I like it.
This is the fifth victim our age that has been killed.
And because of that,
the police has put a curfew on the city,
and if anyone's out after the curfew,
they'll be arrested.
The sky's beautiful.
I know.
I'm surprised there's no pink or anything.
I know.
Yeah, I haven't done.
Baby Girl? Darlin'?
- Hey. - What's up?
How long has it been? - Hey, Z.
- Awhile. - Dang.
I know, it's been a while. What are you doing here?
I don't know.
Just hanging out mostly.
I'm actually on my way to a party right now.
- Oh really, where? - Yeah.
Just down the road, actually.
It's one of those rich houses.
- Nice. - Yeah.
So, what's up? Where's M?
Usually she hangs around you guys.
I know, she's at home tonight
but I don't know, we don't-
Her dad won't let her out 'cause of curfew and stuff.
- Oh, again? - Yeah.
You know, I don't really believe
in this whole curfew thing.
What's it about anyway?
- Curfew? - I know.
Yeah, like we gave a flying fuck about a curfew.
The more they tried to control us,
the more we pushed back.
I don't know, I just,
I don't really care about,
I don't really care about the curfew right now.
We don't either, obviously 'cause here we are.
- Yeah, I forget that. - Yeah.
So I guess, you know,
if you guys see M around
or hanging around again,
could you guys,
I don't know, put in good word for me?
Yeah.
- Yeah? - We'll let her know.
- Yeah. - Okay, all right.
Well, thank you. - All right, Z.
Have fun at the party.
- Yeah, be safe. - Yeah.
You guys have a good day.
- Okay. - Yeah.
Bye, Z.
My God, I haven't seen him in so long.
That was so weird.
And like thinks he can get at M?
Like? - What are we gonna tell her?
Like, bro.
She's gonna think that's hilarious.
I know.
โช I can't count the ways I love you โช
โช 'Cause there's nothing there to count โช
What's up, girls?
What's going on?
- Hi. - We're just hanging out.
Oh, were you just gonna stare at me all day
or you gonna say something?
We were not staring at you.
Stare at you?
Yeah, I saw you guys checking me out this whole time.
Dude, no.
Literally in your own fucking head.
Geez.
You kiss each other with that mouth or just me?
- No, thanks. - It's okay.
We're just watching the sunset.
It doesn't have to be skateboard tricks.
No, we're good. Thank you.
Have a good rest of your night.
Oh, come on. Why not?
What you guys doing?
Nothing. It's okay.
Please, we're really not interested or whatever.
Oh, well, you told me to have a good rest of my night.
That's what I'm trying to do.
Okay, like, have a good rest of your night without us.
- By yourself. - Yeah.
Oh, well, I mean, you guys could definitely come with me.
I don't see the problem.
Cool. No.
We're good, thanks.
Why the fuck not?
'Cause we don't know you.
You're actually making me uncomfortable.
- Baby Girl, Darlin'. - You can get to know me.
I mean, come on. What the fuck?
- You all good? - No, thanks.
- All good? - Hey, Z.
What's up? Who's this?
- I don't know. - You don't know?
- He's just like- - This your friend?
These dry bitches your friend?
Fuck yeah, they're my friends.
- They don't put out for shit. - Who the hell are you?
What? You gonna stick up for them now?
No, no.
I'm not putting up with this.
Get up. I ain't dealing with you.
Get up.
Come on, dude.
Come on, let's go for a walk.
Let's go.
You guys coming or what?
- No. - No.
We're not fucking going with you.
- Can you leave us alone? - Let's go, man.
- Get the hint. - Come on.
- Bullshit, you guys. - You're bullshit.
You guys are fuckin' bitches.
Fuck that.
Oh, okay. (laughs) We're bitches.
- Are y'all good? - Yeah, thanks Z.
No problem.
Bye, guys.
- We don't even know. - What a fucking weirdo.
โช Hope you don't take it too hard โช
โช I got so many nasty things I wanna say โช
โช I just don't where to start โช
โช It just ain't right โช
โช I hope you die โช
Good evening citizens of Rock Creek.
This is Eric Craig on WBLZ.
Bringing you an important announcement.
In response to the recent tragic killings
of young people in our community-
What do you want?
he police have mandated a curfew
to ensure everyone's safety.
The curfew is in effect from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
What the fuck do you want?
I can hear you.
It applies to all residents,
especially our youth.
We understand that this is a difficult-
Fucking piece of shit. Let's go.
And scary time for everyone.
The safety of our community is the top priority.
Police Chief Robert Cardigan has assured us
that this measure is necessary to prevent further tragedies
and to allow law enforcement
to conduct their investigations more effectively.
To all the young people listening,
we urge you to abide by the curfew.
This is not just a suggestion.
It's a mandate.
Anyone found outside-
I really thought you were gonna quit this time.
Huh?
Drinking, Dad.
I thought you were gonna quit.
You were doing so well until the other night.
I did quit drinking.
Nothing's just beer.
Beer isn't drinking.
Beer's just beer.
Now whiskey, whiskey is drinking.
Ah, tequila.
That's drinking.
Whatever.
I'm not in the mood for your jokes.
Yeah.
When the fuck are you in the mood
for your old man anymore, huh?
All you do is sulk around.
Go hang out with your stupid little shit friends
leaving me here alone
having to eat dinner by myself
'cause you're off doing who the fuck knows what.
All 'cause your fucking whore mother-
- Dad. - Had to go and leave.
I'm not doing this shit with you today.
It's the same conversation every time you get drunk.
Have you looked at yourself in the mirror lately?
You're a fucking mess.
You stink. Your clothes are dirty.
Do you know how embarrassing it is
that I have to come home and help my own father change
because he passed out on the couch and pissed himself?
Mom left because you forced her out.
You shut the fuck up!
You don't talk to me that way.
Your mother left you just as much as she left me.
What did you do to run her off, huh?
I always defended you.
I was always daddy's little girl, remember?
And she hated it.
Jesus Christ, why do we have to have the same fight?
I tell you over and over and you don't care.
You just keep crawling into the bottom of a bottle
and burying yourself.
- You know- - Ugh.
You've had just as much opportunity to leave
and go find her, but you haven't yet.
Why is that, M? Huh?
Because you're scared.
Scared your little fucking rainbows and unicorns
fantasy of what life would have been like
if she was still here won't come true.
Or is it the needles and the pills
and the constant train of men coming in and out of her life?
Maybe you're just afraid to leave
this little shit hole town.
Afraid you're gonna go and fail
and have to come crawling back home to me.
You're afraid because you're weak!
I hope you drown yourself
in as much of that shit as you can stomach.
And when you're passed out on the floor,
choking on your own vomit,
I won't be here to help.
You'll die and rot in the dirt.
But it'll be easier on me
than watching you rot in this house like you already are.
You ungrateful little cunt!
Should've given your mom
the goddamn coat hanger when she asked for it.
Hey, can we please go do something?
Yes, I took my very first class with him.
- Really? - Yes, he was so rude to me.
He scared me so much.
Like, it was such a hard class.
Really?
โช Yeah โช
Okay, so you have to catch me up.
What happened with your dad?
Just my dad being my dad.
You know, I really thought things were gonna be different,
but joke's on me.
I know, but you've tried to reason with him for so long
and he's just such an alcoholic that he will not change
and you know that.
- Yeah. - So.
Yeah, he just,
I feel like he needs me to be there
and baby him every single day.
That's horrible.
He's a grown man. He's your father.
You should not have to baby him.
I know, but if I don't take care of him,
who is going to?
I'm never gonna leave.
I'm gonna be stuck here
because I have to take care of him.
Until the day that he dies,
I will be stuck in that house.
M, you know what? Fuck that.
You do not have to stay to take care of him.
You can just leave
and let him deal with his own problems.
He's never gonna change.
He's been this way your entire life.
Well, it's a bummer that Darlin's not here.
I know.
It's so sad that her mom wouldn't let her out.
Yeah, I mean, I get it with everything.
I know.
It's just 'cause the murder was at the same skate park
that we were hanging out at,
but we're just hanging out at the river.
Yeah.
It's not like we're doing anything.
I know.
And it's daylight.
- I know. - Literally.
Seriously.
Her mom is just overreacting.
Yeah.
I know.
All I'm thinking about is like, going in the river.
Yeah.
I just wanna go in the river.
- It's so hot. - Yeah.
Because of the curfew,
a lot of our friends decided to leave town,
but our friends that decided
to stay have been having underground parties.
I haven't gone to attend one yet,
but maybe that'll happen soon.
Yeah, we should definitely get in the water.
We totally should.
That'd be fun if we went tubing.
- Oh my gosh, yeah! - Yes.
We should totally go tubing.
- Rose, oh my gosh! - Hey.
- How are you? - It's been forever.
Oh my gosh, Rose.
Hi, it's so good to see you!
- You too. - How have you been?
It's been so long.
Good, I was gonna say,
what have you guys been up to?
Just hanging out and trying to enjoy
this summer as much as we can.
Oh my gosh, yeah.
Rosie, you got a puppy?
Oh yeah, by the way, I got a puppy.
This is Mabel.
- Oh my goodness, hi. - A little baby, hello.
- Oh, I'm sorry. - Shes just a little nervous.
Aw.
But if you guys wanna hang out with him more,
I'm having a party tonight.
- Oh, you are? - On the DL obviously.
- Yeah. - Oh my gosh, really?
Tonight, it's gonna be at my brother's house.
- Okay, should we go? - All the cute girls.
- Yes. - All the cute boys.
We're gonna have to get Darlin' to go.
We'll probably have to sneak her out,
but yeah, we'll be there.
Yeah, we just have to figure out what to say.
That would be so nice though.
Oh my gosh, hell yes.
That would be so fun.
All the boys, all the cute girls.
All the weed, all the drinks.
Y'all have be there.
Okay, that sounds good.
Alright, we'll be there. - You have to be there.
- Okay, for sure. - Sounds good.
- Hell yes. - Yeah.
Well, it was so good to see you.
- Oh my gosh, you too. - Oh wait.
Did you wanna hang out?
- Yes! - We have another chair.
Yeah, Darlin' was supposed to join us.
Yeah, I mean, people are dying,
but people die all the time.
Not that big of a deal.
I don't know, sorry.
No, I definitely haven't heard
of any underground parties
and they're definitely not going on right now.
- Mabel, what a cute name. - I know.
Okay, so I was telling M, I was telling M,
that when Darlin' and I were hanging out
at the skate park the other day,
there was this guy that came up to us,
literally harassing us.
What the fuck?
Making us so uncomfortable.
And he's like, "You guys were staring at me."
Like, "Are you guys gonna",
"you guys gonna come over and hang out with me or not?"
- Seriously? Seriously. - Oh shit, it's your dad.
"Oh shit," is right.
What did I tell you?
Why are you here? Why are you here?
No, you know what?
I'm like, no, no.
This is a one way conversation now,
- Dad, I just- - No, there is no, no.
You know what's going on.
You know what's going on around here.
You have your phone smashed to your face all day long.
So I know you have an idea of what's happening around here.
This is why me and your mother
are pissed off all the time.
Dad, it's not a big deal.
It's a big deal when you and your friends
are dropping like flies.
We just wanted out to hang out at the river.
No, no. I don't even know who you are.
You're staying out of this conversation
and you're staying out of this conversation.
- I brought my guard dog. - It's between me and you.
We're not gonna do this again.
With all this stuff going on, you should know better.
Baby Girl, it's fine. Just go.
Alright, fine.
Okay, I'll catch you guys later.
Sorry, Rose.
I'll see you soon, don't worry.
I know, I'll see you later.
- Definitely. - Let's go.
- Alright. - Bye, love you.
You guys go home and disappoint your parents.
I gotta take care of her.
- Hi. - She'll steal the ice cubes.
- Aw. - From her fucking bowl
and run around and steal it and just chew on it.
- That's so- - Oh, Mabel.
I think with everything being as scary as it is,
it's a great idea.
I think we need to keep the community safe.
Keep people safe.
I mean, keep families safe.
I don't know.
I think we're finally making steps in the right direction
and hopefully they find this person.
- Hey. - Hi.
So cute.
I'm gonna grab my shoes just real quick.
This party's gonna be, oh.
Hi, Mom.
What are you guys doing?
We're just gonna go out for a little bit.
You're going out for a little bit?
- Yeah. - No, no.
You're not going out for a little bit.
We've discussed this.
Yeah, no.
We're staying out with our friend Rose.
She's in my-
No, you know what's going on.
I don't even do anything, Mom.
Like, I never go out.
Absolutely not.
I, oh my gosh.
It's like I don't, I don't do anything.
I don't go out, I don't,
I listen to all your rules
and then I can't go out with my friends
for five seconds and hang out.
Look at how you're dressed.
You're not just going out.
I'm not dumb.
I wasn't born yesterday.
You're not just hanging out.
I'm furious with you.
Yes we are.
We're gonna take photos. - Excuse me.
You girls need to go home.
You need to leave.
Mom, stop talking to my friends like that.
Excuse me?
It's summer.
Excuse me?
I raised you better than this.
Do not disrespect me in front of your friends.
Ladies.
No, they're not leaving.
Don't leave.
We're going to this party.
Excuse me.
I can't wait for your dad to hear what's going on.
- Darlin'. - We're just gonna go.
- We'll call you. - No.
- It's fine. - Okay, sorry.
Oh my gosh.
Whatever.
- Not whatever. - No, I don't get to go ever.
This is not whatever.
I don't do anything with my friends.
Anytime of the day.
You just, you don't, I'm not gonna even,
I don't do anything, Mom!
I understand that you want to go out,
that you want to hang out with your friends.
No you don't.
We're just gonna go hang out.
Like, I don't understand what the big deal is.
It is not safe.
I've talked to all the ladies at the country club.
None of them are letting their children go out.
It is not safe.
Okay, like, you can't,
you're just like every other mom?
You can't be unique?
It's not about being unique.
It's about making you safe.
It's, this is just-
What's going on here?
Dad, please let me go out.
I don't do anything.
I just wanna go out.
Well, you know, if it was up to me, I'd-
Are you serious? Back me up.
I'll be home by like, 10:00.
No, you're not going out after dark.
We've discussed this.
No, I am.
I'm gonna go out with my friends.
She cannot be this disrespectful.
Dad, I don't do anything.
I don't go out.
I don't do anything bad.
- Maybe we should? - It's summer.
I mean, if you're gonna be back at a reasonable hour.
- Yeah. - No, reasonable hour?
Look at how she's dressed.
Seriously, Mom?
Like, were you ever a teenager once?
Did you ever go out or dress your own way and have fun?
Everything you do reflects our entire family.
You were not raised this way. - Okay.
I'm sorry that you decided to have me and I reflect on you.
No, I'm not okay with her going,
I'm not okay with her sneaking out with her friends.
I wasn't sneaking out with my friends.
- I'm not even- - I did not sneak out.
Who are your friends?
Look at how they dress.
What is, what are you turning into?
My friend, they had dresses on.
Oh no, they had dresses on.
Dad, please tell her that I wanna go out.
Well, you know, if I had my way,
I'd probably let her go for a little bit.
You need to back me up here.
This is the time.
- No. - I get it, I get it.
This is what we talk in therapy.
I'm stuck in the middle here.
This is the time.
This is what we talk in therapy, okay.
Now is the time to back me up.
This is fucking ridiculous.
Hey, language.
I just, I wanna go out.
I have not gone out.
I do everything you say,
I come home at a reasonable hour.
I listen to all your rules and I can't go out
and have fun for once in my entire life.
You are being histrionic and you're making everything-
- Okay. - About you.
I have lost so much sleep.
I have cried.
You've watched the news with me.
You are not safe.
I'm safe, okay?
And not everything is about me.
I'm trying to go out
and have a good time with my friends
and you're making a big deal.
You're making it about you.
- This is not about you. - Oh my gosh.
I don't care, Mom.
Whatever. Okay, I don't care.
I don't care!
- You guys. - Honey, honey.
Hey, slow the roll.
This is what we talked about.
I get it, I get it.
- She's so outta control. - I get it.
This was our summer
and nobody was going to ruin it.
This boy, what's his name?
Okay, guys. I think we're better than that.
Seriously.
This was our summer
and nobody was going to ruin it.
Hell yeah.
Hell yeah, come on.
That was so close!
Yay! That was nice.
- That ball on top. - Yes.
I don't have a lot of film left.
Okay, but can you make it though?
- Ugh! - Sorry.
You guys suck.
Is it my turn now?
Get it, girl.
Darlin'? Darlin'?
- Huh? - Gotta be careful.
Okay, that light is so bright.
Yes! Yes!
- Sorry, it's vintage. - Excuse me, cameraman.
You missed her shot.
Oh, vintage, huh? What year was it?
- Yeah. - 2004.
Wow, fancy.
You're a fancy guy over here. - Yes, yes.
Wow, that's some confidence
for somebody who's living with a killer on the loose.
Right.
Ooh!
- Okay, okay. - Ooh.
Wow, you're still at it again?
Well, you're really annoying, so.
I want to reflect on your glasses
and back into your pupils.
- On you? - Okay.
She pissed and then I picked her up
and now it's on me.
- Yo. - Ah, what's up?
If you go anywhere near this
fucking camera, I swear to God.
Ah, you're not gonna do anything.
What do you mean?
Bro, you just watch.
You just watch.
I can just grab it right now.
I ain't scared of no baby bitch.
Ah, I ain't scared of shit either.
I ain't scared of no baby bitch.
Ah, you don't want it.
See if I can get it.
I'm not scared of you.
I wasn't trying to scare you.
I was doing like this, "Meep."
Is it time for us to take a shot?
Did I miss the shot, shot, shot, shot, shot?
โช We gettin' lit today, we gettin' lit today โช
To forgetting about our problems
and having fun this summer.
No, that counts. This is like water.
- Yeah. - Okay, I got this.
- Yes! - Yeah!
You guys do that too.
That's a very millennial thing to do.
Okay!
- Oh! - I'm sorry, I didn't mean to.
- Are you fucking kidding me? - It wasn't my fault.
I have to walk home like this.
I didn't mean to!
What the?
He was the one who bumped into me.
This is what we're not going to do.
You're not doing this shit in my house.
Get the fuck out of my party.
Are you fucking kidding me?
- Oh! - Look what she fucking did.
I don't give a shit, get the fuck out.
Fight, fight, fight, fight!
Fuck all of you.
No, no I think I hear something.
Dude, are you good? I'm so sorry.
Yeah, it's fine.
I'm so sorry that happened.
That shit, no.
How does that make you feel?
Yeah, we're not.
Can you fill in for me for a second?
- Yeah. - Yes!
Oh, good! Are you okay?
Um, can we talk over?
- Yeah. - Yeah, sure.
We'll be right back.
- Um. - What's going on?
I need to go.
My neighbor just texted me saying
that my dad's passed out on the lawn.
- No. - Are you serious?
Don't leave.
I stuck out and everything for this party.
- No, I- - He always does this to you.
- Yeah. - I know.
But just being on the lawn,
I don't want someone to call the police.
I need to go. - Wait, he's not your,
he's literally not your problem.
Yeah, honestly, fuck him.
If someone calls the police,
they call the police.
You're his daughter.
Like, you don't have to go home for your dad.
Yeah.
I, I get it.
But I need to go, I just-
Come on, M.
I really don't want him to get in trouble.
- Are you serious? - I'm sorry, guys.
We're having so much fun though.
Aren't you having fun?
Yeah, of course, I'm having fun,
but I just, I need to go.
Are you gonna come back?
Um, maybe, I don't.
Probably not.
All right, well, I'll see you guys around.
- Okay. - All right, love you.
Okay.
Lemme know when you get home safe.
- Okay, I will. - Yeah, just be safe, okay?
Alright, love you. - Bye.
Bye.
It was good hanging out with you.
Hey!
- Hey. - How's it going?
So good.
I know that puppy's
not the only thing you wanna love.
No, I think she's enough.
I just want you to know
I make films on the side,
like that's kind of cool, right?
I'm a filmmaker.
You ever been with a filmmaker before?
No, but I think I'm good.
You said this was a retro camera, right?
Vintage camera.
You think I can just check it out a little bit?
I just wanna use it real quick.
What are you doing, bro?
- Yeah. - Dude, be careful with that.
Let me just see that.
I'm just gonna do something with it real quick.
You can't do that.
It's vintage. Be careful with it.
I have so much footage of me with your mom on there.
Oh, you don't gotta worry.
You're fine. - Stop it, dude.
Come on, baby.
Let's go do something real quick.
- Okay. - Don't!
Don't, don't go with Boy Toy.
Darlin' it's fine,
I'll be right back.
- Ew. - Darlin' it's fine.
Ew, you're so gross.
You're so gross.
I'll be right back.
Oh yeah, you'll be right back.
Oh, you look so good tonight, babe.
Thank you.
Yeah, I know it's been a while,
but it's good to be hanging out again.
I've been missing you.
- Oh, really? - Yeah.
Hmm.
I know, it just ended a little weird last year,
but I'm so happy to finally see you again.
It's good to run into each other.
I've just been wanting to be with you again, you know?
That's a joke.
Oh, come on.
You know- - You're lying to me.
No, babe.
I care about you a lot.
Yeah, right.
I know I upset you before,
but I really think it's time for you
to gimme another chance.
Can you just put that away?
I don't know.
I just think it's kind of nice.
You look so good tonight.
I think it's creepy.
Come on, put the camera away.
I'm not gonna do anything with it in my face.
Aw, babe.
You just look so good right now.
I'd love to capture the moment.
No, seriously.
It's making me uncomfortable.
I don't want it.
- Aw. - Come on.
Okay, Okay.
- Give me that back. - Dude, what the fuck?
I'm using that shit.
It's vintage.
- Ah. - $300 eBay. Don't touch it.
You're never gonna do anything better with it.
I don't want to see you
and your grubby fingers
doing whatever you are doing with her.
Good Evening, listeners,
we bring you a somber update tonight.
The town is reeling from the tragic news
of yet another young woman falling victim
to the elusive and brutal assailant
known as the Moonlight Killer.
This latest attack, like the ones before,
occurred under the cover of darkness
with no apparent motive.
Leaving the community in a state of fear and confusion.
Authorities are urging all residents,
particularly the town's youth,
to remain indoors after dark as a precaution.
Despite an intense investigation,
the police currently have no leads
on the identity of the killer.
They ask anyone with information,
no matter how insignificant it may seem to come forward.
Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the victim.
We will continue to provide updates as the story develops.
In the face of this growing threat,
many residents are taking drastic measures.
With the summer season upon us,
numerous families are packing up and leaving town,
hoping to find safety elsewhere
until the perpetrator's caught.
Police Chief Thompson urges anyone with information
to come forward and reassures the community
that law enforcement is doing everything in its power
to bring this nightmare to an end.
Until then, residents are advised to stay vigilant
and report any suspicious activity immediately.
As always, the mandated curfew is still currently in effect.
I kind of like it, I don't know.
I know, it's so nice.
I just can't believe it.
No one's getting on us about
being the curfew or past curfew.
I know, because they don't,
they enforce it, but like not a lot.
Hey!
Hey, can I see your board?
- What the? - Oh yeah.
Hey, you know what this is made out of?
- No. - Boyfriend material. Hi.
- Stop. - Oh my God.
Give me back my fucking board.
Hey, can I ride it?
You guys wanna learn some tricks?
- No. - No.
What do you mean? What kinda tricks?
Hi.
You going to the rock concert later?
- No. - No?
- No. - Well, I'm inviting you,
so if you want come, I'd like to see you there.
I really don't even like,
like that type of music.
Yeah, but I mean, it's a night out.
That might be fun.
Yeah, but...
- Yeah. - Well, I'll be there.
We can hang out.
I like the color of your eyes.
Thank you.
I like your smile.
- Okay, thank you. - Yeah, no problem.
Compliment her shirt.
Maybe she'll like that.
I like your pants.
Shirt! Shirt!
Thank you.
Can you gimme a spin around?
No.
Can you give me a spin around?
Let me see that ass.
I love it.
Hey, how you doing?
- Good. - Enjoying the night so far?
Yeah.
Yeah, it's pretty good.
Yeah, are you?
Yeah, it's better now seeing you.
- Oh my God. - All that rizz.
Who can say no?
Uh, not really.
I'm just like, doing my regular thing.
Just going to my favorite places of all time.
I mean, the killer's not around me per se,
so I'm not really worried about it.
- You're right. - Are you okay?
Like this.
You're so cute.
- You've been here? - Yeah.
- Since then? - Yeah.
- Oh. - How 'bout you?
Maybe we're planning on going.
Why not?
Hey, what are all you doing out here?
- Having fun. - Here's the rent-a-cop.
- Rent-a-cop, aw. - There's a curfew in effect.
Busted!
- Boo! - Boo yourself.
Get out of here!
- No. - Are you serious?
- We're not doing anything. - It's fine.
It doesn't matter if you're not doing anything.
Do you wanna get killed too?
Maybe.
You've got balls.
You can see what he looks like.
I don't know if you've been drinking, kid.
- No, I'm not. - Whatever, dude.
Come on, get outta here.
Come on, let's go.
You can't be serious.
Absolutely, darlin'.
Get on outta here.
- Fine. - Whatever, rent-a-cop.
Go back on your scooter.
- Oh my God. - Weirdo.
This was our summer
and nobody was going to ruin it.
โช This is not my tempo โช
Trouble is kind of what we're known for.
I mean, here we're just in a small town.
We're kind of known for making a little ruckus.
So what's a little trouble?
Man, fuck it. This is rock and roll.
What's a little trouble every now and again?
If anything, we want to get in trouble.
Any publicity is good publicity.
I was just gonna say,
I mean, either way,
in rock and roll heads are rolling.
So, you know, just kind of keep the same old attitude,
same shit, different day.
It's kind of a cool name if you ask me.
Heads are rolling.
The Moonlight Killer.
If anything, it's more incentive to play a show
because that gets people outs and abouts
and you know, Acid Box is no more.
Certainly not a serial killer band name at all, Acid Box.
- No. - Totally family friendly.
- Yeah. - Totally easy to hide here.
I'm so excited to be out.
Same.
I feel like I'm a little bit nervous though,
because it's gonna be dark after.
So then what happens then?
What if something I dunno, happens to us?
You know what?
I don't even care if we get arrested at this point.
We just wanna have fun.
So let's just have fun and enjoy our night, okay?
- Okay. - Okay.
- We look gorgeous. - You look great.
Guys, what are you doing here?
- Hey! - Yeah.
I didn't know you guys go to these things.
What's going on?
Yeah, to be honest,
I don't even really like this kind of music.
I just wanna get out.
Oh, well you're here for the great show.
These guys are fucking awesome.
Oh, really?
M, I have,
wow, you look amazing.
Thanks.
Yeah, that's, that's so cool.
Well, I was wondering like maybe
after the show that maybe we could like, talk?
Yeah, definitely.
Okay, awesome.
Well, hey, I'm gonna go in,
but you guys have a great time, all right?
- Thanks, Z. - Bye, Z.
Cool.
And make sure we don't post anything
on socials because I don't want my mom to find out.
- Okay, you're right. - Yeah.
No one can know that we're here.
Well, let's have a good time.
- Yeah, let's. - Okay.
- Great. - I'm excited.
I'm excited too.
โช This is not my tempo โช
What's your name?
No, you don't need to right now.
We're trying to have a good time.
Thank you, have a good night.
You're very pretty.
No. Thanks, but no thanks.
What's your name?
We're just trying to have, a girl's night.
You know, we're good. - I'm a nice guy.
Can you just back up?
What about you? What's your name?
Leave us alone.
- Yeah. - You sure?
Oh my god.
Yeah? Let's just go.
That was fun.
That was fun, but those guys were so creepy.
- Yeah, oh my God. - Oh, by the way.
- Oh, hey. - Hey.
What were those guys even talking about here?
Dude, they were just touching our arms
and like smelling our hair.
They were so creepy.
Look.
God, why are they following us?
- I'm parked over here. - Oh, all right.
Well, it was nice meeting you.
Nice meeting you.
I have your number.
Yeah.
I'll text you later.
Okay, yeah, we'll see.
They're still watching. - Guys, they're following us.
Being a young woman means having to be aware
of your surroundings at all times.
You never know who's lurking in the shadows,
even a familiar face.
What's going on?
Guys, we just have to get back to the car
and we'll be fine, okay?
- Okay. - Let's just go.
- Let's go. - Okay.
- Let's go. - Hey!
- Oh my God! - Hi.
- You guys okay? - Uh, yeah.
There's just these guys following us.
Okay, do you guys wanna a ride?
My car's around back.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah. - Sure.
- Okay, let's get going. - Come on, let's go.
Let's get out of here.
Sorry about the mess.
Oh, can you guys give us a minute?
I, I just wanna talk to M for a quick second.
Oh, okay. Yeah, no problem.
Yeah, sorry about that.
- Z, your car is hot. - Oh, thank you.
No, I mean, temperature.
Oh yeah, I would turn the car on,
but I think I'd want to talk.
- It's okay. - I'm sorry.
No, it's okay.
So, you know, last year I thought we kind of had,
we were talking that I kind of had a crush on you.
I'm sorry.
And I've been thinking about you this entire year
and I was wondering maybe
well, you know, I'm not really a ladies' man,
but I just wanted to, you know,
take a chance.
Yeah.
Would you like to go see a movie with me?
Z, I would love to.
I mean, if this was last year,
I was very much interested as well.
It's just, you know, everything with my dad.
Oh, yeah.
At the end of the summer, I have to leave.
I, I just don't want anything holding me back.
Oh.
Okay, yeah, for sure.
Like I said, I just wanted to take a chance.
Yeah.
Yeah, no, it's perfectly fine, yeah.
Well I'd better take you guys home, yeah?
Okay.
In a chilling development,
a third body has been discovered
in what appears to be a series of brutal slayings
that have all occurred at night.
The latest victim was found early this morning
in a secluded area off Parkview Avenue.
Authorities say the scene bears the hallmarks
of the same violent pattern
observed in the previous two murders.
The community has begun referring to the perpetrator
as the Moonlight Killer,
a name that has quickly gained traction
as fear grips the city.
Police have yet to release specific details
about the ongoing investigation,
but they have confirmed
that there are striking similarities between the murders
leading them to believe
they are dealing with a serial killer.
In response to these disturbing events,
law enforcement officials are urging young people
and residents to avoid secluded areas
and to stay indoors at night whenever possible.
Increased patrols and community vigilance initiatives
are being implemented
in an effort to prevent further tragedies.
The investigation remains active
and the police are encouraging anyone with information
that could assist in identifying the killer
to please come forward.
The community's cooperation is deemed essential
in bringing the Moonlight Killer to justice
and restoring a sense of safety to our town.
Hey, it's been a while.
- It's been a long time, man. - Yeah.
- Thanks for coming. - Good to see you.
Hey, come on, sit down.
I don't think we've met.
Nice to officially meet you.
Likewise.
It's been way too long, man.
I really appreciate you coming out to see us.
I don't know what to do.
Things have been crazy.
Kids been acting crazy, you know,
but again, it is important that we meet.
I'm glad you guys are here.
Well, here's the thing.
Ever since our daughter started
hanging out with your daughter,
she's been getting into all kinds of trouble.
She's been sneaking out,
she's been going to rock concerts.
You should see how these girls dress.
You know what? Hold on.
I didn't invite you out here to make this a blame game.
I'm having the same problem with my daughter.
I didn't accuse your daughter of anything.
I'm trying to figure out what we can do
to help our daughters.
Well, excuse me, Mr. Tattoo and a beer.
Hey, hey.
What kind of decisions
are you making that's influencing your daughter?
It's okay.
We don't need to go there.
You know, we're all on the same page here.
We're trying to get to the bottom of this.
So, let's just relax a little bit.
Well, I don't know how I'm supposed to relax
when kids are not safe, people are dying,
and our daughter is hanging out with low lifes.
- Low lifes? - Come on.
- Now look, here's it. - Okay, okay, alright.
Let's just calm down.
This isn't going anywhere and I think we're supposed
to be meeting somebody else here, right?
Yeah, and if I remember correctly,
he's a real piece of shit. - Jesus.
Yes, I am.
A badge I wear proudly.
You look like hell.
Is this what hell looks like?
It's not so bad.
What happened to you?
We used to be so close.
You had so much potential.
You used to have really great dance moves,
especially on top of the bar.
Oh my God.
But you threw those away too.
I just don't know what to do with Darlin'.
It's like, the more we tell her no,
the more she keeps going out
and she doesn't even realize the danger.
I mean, they're clueless.
Baby Girl's been the same way.
When I talked to them earlier,
I saw them out and I did,
I lost my cool with them, you know?
But I don't know what to do.
I don't know what to do.
It's, I wasn't ready for this.
The kids are like we used to be when we were kids.
Yeah.
I mean, what would we have done?
But the difference here
is that there wasn't a Moonlight Killer, you know?
Like when we were in high school,
there wasn't that danger.
People are dying.
It shouldn't be this hard.
The thing that really drives me crazy
is the cops don't have any leads yet.
They're not looking in the right place.
What does that mean?
Okay, I know this might come as a surprise to you guys,
but I tend to spend a lot of time in places like this
and you see and hear a lot of things in a bar.
Stuff people won't talk about outside these walls.
All those people that have died recently,
you know, the ones they've been finding all summer.
They used to come to places like this.
And I recognize a lot of 'em.
Neo-Nazi scumbags,
but not all necessarily the typical skinhead types.
But definitely some part
of extreme right behind closed doors.
You know, they've always been here living among us,
but they've gotten smart.
They've learned to blend in with society now.
Could be anyone.
After those five minority kids
were killed last year in that apparent hate crime,
they all just suddenly vanished.
Stopped showing up to bars and biker rallies.
And now?
All just fallen by the wayside.
One by one by one.
Get up.
You wanna go to work?
Absolutely.
Oh!
Yeah!
There you go. There you go.
Oh.
Not so tough now.
Yeah.
That could hurt more.
Oh shit, you gonna take that?
You had enough?
What about you? You had enough?
Man, fuck y'all crackers, man.
Oh!
Your kind shouldn't have come around here.
I think the message is clear now.
Those people aren't welcome here.
That leader of theirs is the only one
who hasn't wound up dead.
Yet.
Wait a second.
So you're telling me
that the Moonlight Killer is doing this out of revenge
for those five kids that got killed?
The girls are, they were friends with those kids.
That one named Jay,
Darlin's not been the same since they found him.
Baby Girl hasn't been the same either.
Neither has M.
Look, all I'm saying is I bet you a dollar to a dime
that the next body they find is gonna be their leader.
Wait, fuck the disguise.
Let's have this asshole see who we are.
- You're right. - Okay.
Sick.
This was our summer
and nobody was going to ruin it.
This was our summer
and nobody was going to ruin it.
This was our summer
and nobody was going to ruin it.
I don't think so.
Get up.
We're gonna kill you, you fucking Nazi.
You remember our friend Jay?
This is for him.
Yeah, we're really gonna enjoy this.
Baby, Darlin', grab his arms.
Stay still.
And this is the summer we died.
Open up, boy.
In the wake of the tragic events
of five young minorities who were killed recently
in what police believe were hate crimes
participated by a neo-Nazi group,
they now report that individuals linked
to the neo-Nazi group have themselves been targeted
and killed in what appears
to be a series of revenge killings.
Authorities urge the community to remain calm-
Five bodies.
All of them found with their heads so severely disfigured,
it was hard to make out who they were
until the dental records were looked into.
Of course, we weren't giving up our summer.
Summertime was the only time it felt
like we could truly unleash all of the angst
and anxieties that school and our parents put on us.
It's when we could watch the sun go down
and come back up without missing a moment
of the night in between.
It's when the boys were interchangeable.
It's when the skate parks and the neighborhood streets
and the abandoned parking lots were our church
and summertime was our religion.
Well, I'm happy the curfew got lifted.
It's crazy that the Moonlight Killer just vanished.
Oh, hang on a second.
Hey.
Yeah, I'm just finishing the last box.
Okay.
Yeah.
All right, I'll see you soon.
Sorry, that was my friend Z.
He's helping me move to California.
Well, he's actually moving with me, but you know.
โช This is not my tempo โช
Rock and roll.
