A BODY FOUND! COME NOW!

What's all the noise?

What happened last night?

You lost it again, kept banging your head.

Did Chen Jiajie come here last night?

Yeah.

I want to see him.

Officer Ma, Mai's unstable right now.

I don't think he should meet Officer Chen alone.

All right, see you later.

I'll go with you.

Okay, let me change.

Zhihong,

Officer Chen will meet you soon. Don't be afraid.

Say whatever you want, I'll be here too, okay?

You asked for me.

Is there something to say?

Is there a name you want to tell me?

Go on.

Don't be scared.

Someone threatened you?

Say the name,

and no one will hurt you.

I'll protect you.

No one's threatening me.

Officer Chen,

let me try this.

Zhihong,

if you can't say it,

just write it down, okay?

Go ahead, write it.

Do you wanna write in Chinese or English?

English.

Okay, English.

How many letters?

Seven.

Okay, seven letters.

Write it here.

Take your time.

Are you scared?

The police are watching us.

If they find out

you weren't hurt,

our plan will fail.

Teacher, let me help you.

My life belongs to you.

I'll do anything you ask.

If my life helps, just take it.

Don't worry. Take your time.

Write it down.

For the teacher.

Write it down.

Zhihong, stop it.

Officer Chen, stop.

He's writing. Let him finish.

I said no. Stop him.

- Let him finish. - I said stop.

Zhihong, stop it.

Stop it.

Pause it now.

Officer Chen, step outside.

- What's wrong, Mom? - It's okay.

Dr. Zhou, why pause it?

Why stop him?

He's not trying to write a name.

It's seven letters. He wrote three. Let him finish.

He's writing SUICIDE. He wants to die.

Why would he?

Let him finish.

He's unstable.

If you push, no one can save him.

- I'm here. He won't die. - Mai Zhihong.

- Mai Zhihong. - Call an ambulance now!

- Mai Zhihong. - I'll call.

- Hold on - Tianming, alert security.

- This is WestK DCS. - Hang in there

- A suspect stab-- - Hold on.

We need paramedics!

Hang in there.

Hang in there.

Hang in there.

Hang in there.

It will be fine.

Hold on.

Hang in there.

You'll be fine.

Hang in there.

If you're brave enough to die,

why not do something meaningful?

All this time,

who do you hate the most

of those who bullied you?

Zhang Jiajian.

Do you know the best way to deal with bullies?

Strike first.

Catch a mouse.

I'll show you how to sedate it.

Grab it, find its neck,

and inject the sedative.

This much is enough.

Quickly, through the throat.

Don't hesitate.

But next time, it won't be a mouse.

It'll be a person.

Are you scared?

My life is yours.

I'll do anything you ask.

If my life is useful,

you can take it.

When I need you,

I'll let you know.

Now for the final step.

Are you ready to sacrifice yourself?

I've been ready for 25 years.

KILL

Officer Chen, Mai is awake.

He wants to see you.

You called me.

Is there something to say?

Someone threatened you?

- Stop it. - He's writing. Let him finish.

If you push, no one can save him.

What's up, Officer Chen?

Need my help?

Has his autopsy report come out?

Mai wasn't poisoned,

no drugs, no other injuries.

Just a pen stabbed

into his carotid artery,

causing massive blood loss.

What is your expert opinion?

In your opinion,

could his old scar

have been self-inflicted?

Officer Chen,

I can confirm the scar

was caused by a sharp object.

But I can't prove

if it was self-harm

or not.

He wanted to talk to me.

He clearly had something to say.

Why would he kill himself?

You know he was suicidal.

He even banged his head while in custody.

Have you thought about

what might've changed

if you didn't question him

in that state?

Officer Chen?

I'll uncover the truth.

To all reporters,

the suspect, Mai Zhihong,

in the serial murder case has been arrested.

But unfortunately,

he committed suicide during questioning

and died on the spot.

Officer Ma, rumor has it he had an accomplice.

Will the investigation continue?

Who is the accomplice? Do the police have any leads?

We reiterate,

those rumors are false.

Mai was the sole killer,

only him.

He confessed to all his crimes,

and this 25-year-long

serial killings case

is officially closed today.

Sir, do you think he killed himself for--

Why did he do it?

Are the police responsible?

Kaiqing,

rewind it, please.

- Officer Liu. - Sir.

Officer Liu.

Turn it off.

Sir, we're still reviewing--

I said, turn it off!

Are you defying me?

How many times do I have to say it? Stop.

Mai Zhihong asked to see me,

trying to tell me the name.

He only wrote half the third letter.

There might've been more letters.

What was that letter?

What was it?

How many times have you watched?

What was the letter?

Have you figured it out?

I'm reviewing it now.

Officer Ma told us to drop this case.

We've followed it for over 20 years.

Closing it now

is to calm public sentiment.

I hope you can stay calm.

Stop using Officer Ma against me.

Fine, not him.

Let's talk about me.

I'm ordering you to close this case.

Mai wasn't the real killer.

Deep down, you know it.

Who's the tutor?

Who's the boss behind this?

Are you letting the real killer walk free?

Are you?

Close the case.

Everyone out.

Officer Liu is right.

This case is complicated.

We can't rush it.

Since Blind Dart took over Grim Ace's Lenco,

they've fought nonstop.

It's a ticking time bomb.

We should keep an eye on them.

Talk with OCTB.

Get him transferred there.

Stop investigating Mai.

That's my order.

Officer Zhang.

No need to make this awkward.

All roads lead to Rome.

Investigating their infighting

means probing him.

Investigating Blind Dart

leads to the boss.

I've been following Zhuang Xiaohua,

waiting for her to slip

after Mai's death.

Hello, Ms. Zhuang.

I'd like to move the art show to Saturday.

This Saturday? It overlaps.

I don't care.

Compensation's fine.

Fine, I'll figure it out.

Ms. Zhuang said the charity art show

changed to Saturday.

This Saturday?

But it clashes with PLS.

Delay theirs instead.

She'll cover the costs.

- All of them. - Got it.

She's just doing her usual,

business, charity,

art investments,

and hosting events.

Her life seems normal,

nothing suspicious.

Anyone dealing with Blind Dart

is no good.

Keep a close eye on them.

Why does he get ranked?

There were plenty of us

with Tian back then.

I've risked my life for years for Lenco.

I've worked hard for Lenco.

Everyone sees that.

Don't you support me?

Of course I do.

Good, with your support, I can rest easy.

All right, that's settled.

- Boss, where are you going? - Call my girl.

- Cheers. - Cheers.

- Come on. - Cheers.

I'm having supper with the boys.

Yeah, don't rush me.

Be good.

Boss!

Boss, boss, boss.

Call an ambulance! Hurry!

- Okay. - Boss!

Good news.

Gather the guys. Let's celebrate early.

Help!

Looks like Zhuang Xiaohua is directly working for the boss.

Officer Zhang, Chicken is in ICU.

It doesn't look good.

If Chicken dies, no one can be against Blind Dart.

It must've been him.

Blind Dart's arrogance must annoy the elders.

But in recent years,

he's made big profits for the gang.

Especially from drugs.

He must have a big boss.

Any leads on him?

NB found nothing.

No info from Lenco either.

It's well-hidden.

The big boss might be the mastermind.

Chat with Blind Dart?

Four twos.

- Come on. - Drink up.

Cheers.

I've met Blind Dart before.

He might recognize me.

I'll stay outside.

Be careful.

Listen up, everyone.

To celebrate me, your boss,

taking over early.

Enjoy the cash.

Police investigation.

Everyone, sit down.

IDs out now.

- Come on, officer. - Really?

- This is such a buzzkill. - Yeah, officer.

- Such a downer. - Officers.

Anything we can help with?

Your car was seen

at Yuanzhou St. at 11:30.

Why were you there?

I went to find a toilet

and took a dump.

Congrats.

Your friend Chicken got ambushed nearby

and is now in ICU.

Really?

Who did it?

- No idea. - Haven't heard a thing.

Who did it?

No clue.

We don't know.

Blind Dart,

you really don't know?

You look happy.

Aren't you celebrating taking over early?

Officer,

the celebration

wasn't just for that.

It's also my mom's memorial day.

We're honoring her too.

But hearing about Chicken's attack

is upsetting.

- Open another bottle. - Sure.

Is this officer handsome?

Yes.

But not as handsome as you.

Go play with him.

Sure, come on.

Join us, officer.

Just smile, sir.

- Smile. - Don't be so stiff.

- Have a drink. - Just one.

Officer.

Officer, no one's with you?

Come sit.

- Yeah, come join us. - Come on.

Sit down!

- I said, sit down! - Join us.

You like games so much?

Come to the station, way more fun.

So what if you've got a gun?

Killjoy.

Officer, so what if you've got a gun?

If you're investigating, you need evidence.

No evidence?

Then take your boyfriend away.

Don't let me stop you from honoring your mom.

Using your dead mom as a prop?

Careful, karma's coming.

For your info,

my mom's not dead.

Save it.

No way.

It's all gone.

I want to buy some goods.

What did you say?

Is the stuff pure? Is it from Blind Dart?

Haven't seen you before.

I used to get it from Chicken,

but his stuff was weak.

Heard Dart's is pure,

so I came here.

But it's all gone now.

Got more?

This is all I have.

When's the next batch?

In a few days.

Don't know when.

I'll let you know.

I got word

of a big shipment coming in soon.

Blind Dart wants to be boss.

This time,

he'll show up himself.

Our priority now

is to gather more clues.

What do you think of this outfit?

Like this?

Too conservative?

I'll lose the jacket?

No way.

You'll be exposed like this.

If not exposed, you'll catch a cold.

A cold?

Of course.

Don't worry. I'm there.

You sure about this?

I've done it before.

Piece of cake.

If anything happens, signal me.

I'll keep my eyes on you.

Don't worry.

Wait a sec.

I'm worried if you are not.

Are you sure?

I'll stay alert. Trust me.

- You're Jiajie's friend? - Yeah.

Haven't seen you before.

I just moved to Hong Kong.

Heard Chicken got attacked. Is it true?

Why are you asking?

Well,

- just worried I'll lose my supply. - Relax.

I work with Blind Dart now.

What's he known for? He's got loads of goods.

There's a big load in two days.

Really?

- Of course. - What time?

What time?

Come to my place today. Got something for you.

- Maybe next time. - Come on, get in the car.

Why wait? How about this time?

Let's go.

She's my girlfriend.

Got a boyfriend? Then stay home.

Officer Zhang, your car's here.

G-Get in.

Officer Yao.

Yeah, we're together.

All right, on my way.

What's going on?

Officer Yao wants us to meet him.

Let's see what we've got.

By the way,

I'll drop you home to change first.

Sure, thanks.

No problem.

Blind Dart's been in the spotlight,

mainly for seizing land.

But his roots are in drug dealing.

He handles all the drug operations.

Small dealers heard rumors.

Everyone got the news.

Sounds like he's behind it.

I read Chen Jiajie's undercover notes.

He said Blind Dart's crafty,

always spreading fake intel.

So police get nothing.

Deals usually happen a day earlier than announced.

That means tomorrow.

The records show

they prefer water routes.

I guess NB's probably

already at the docks.

Hold on.

Zhuang Xiaohua's got a load arriving tomorrow.

I checked the customs forms.

It's all paintings.

These paintings are worth millions.

If damaged, the insurance is huge.

So at that time,

customs won't inspect them closely.

Smuggling drugs in artwork seems safe,

but risky if caught.

All the paintings get seized, costing them a fortune.

High stakes, big rewards.

Blind Dart's not one to play it safe.

We move tomorrow.

Boss, the truck just left the docks.

Be clean with your work.

Don't let Zhuang know.

Got it.

Got it.

- Officer Zhang. - What's wrong?

The security truck left the docks.

It's heading this way.

They know there's a roadblock here.

They might not come this way.

- Is Jiajie on Route Two? - He's waiting there.

Target spotted.

It's heading to Route Two.

Hold on. Hold on.

- What's wrong? - It's headed your way.

Stop it.

What's in the truck?

Just oil paintings.

Officer Zhang, found something.

It's got nothing to do with me. I'm just a driver.

Take him in.

I didn't do anything.

I'm only a driver.

I don't know anything.

We found cocaine in the truck.

The driver doesn't know.

So Dart used Zhuang to smuggle drugs.

Even if it's Dart, we've got no proof.

We can't find the boss.

This is pointless.

He wouldn't miss such a big opportunity.

He'll grab the goods

before Zhuang gets them.

He's probably waiting on the same route.

Boss, we've got trouble. Cops stopped the truck.

They found the goods. What now?

MS. ZHUANG

Go eat crap.

Officer Zhang, we checked all the paintings.

No hidden layers, no drugs.

All right, thanks for your help.

Officer Zhang,

the drugs are with the NB.

Dart hasn't been found.

Dart was right.

The boss is cautious.

Layers of separation.

All the deals were made

with Zhuang as a broker.

Kaiqing,

bring Zhuang in for questioning.

See what she'll reveal.

Ms. Zhuang.

My charity art show is this Saturday.

There's also an online auction

with global buyers. I can't delay it.

Those paintings are now evidence in a drug case.

We can't return them for now.

Those paintings are worth millions.

If they're damaged, it'll be trouble for your department.

Rest assured,

we'll take full responsibility.

Ms. Zhuang,

as the owner,

you're also part of this case.

I hope you'll answer truthfully.

So,

do you know Long Wenbiao, aka Blind Dart?

My client won't answer

any of your questions.

She just wants to confirm the paintings aren't damaged.

That's her right.

Fine. Let's inspect the paintings.

This way.

Pull up the records.

Ms. Zhuang, don't worry.

They are valuable.

We'll handle them with care.

They'll remain intact.

I've got a question.

I don't understand most of these,

but this one

caught my eye.

Can you tell me about it?

You've got good taste.

The artist

was a European woman.

Sadly, she passed away.

I bought it at auction for a high price.

- Take your time to enjoy it. - Sure.

Ms. Zhuang, please step out for a statement.

Sure.

This way, please.

Officer Zhang, I found something.

Kate Sundess is tied to the Vista Tower fire case.

She founded a charity fund after the fire.

Sundess isn't her name.

It's her husband's.

Her husband is philanthropist Adam Sundess.

I've been through tough times.

I know

how close hell can feel.

My wife and I started this fund to help victims.

We wanted to support survivors

and the victims' families.

To help them

rebuild their lives.

Sir Sundess,

may I ask,

there's an anonymous donor, Mr. S,

at Hong Kong charity events.

He always donates huge money.

Could Mr. S refer to your last name,

Sundess?

The Sundess Tower is now open.

Sir Sundess himself unveiled the building.

2010, SUNDESS TOWER

I'm so grateful to Sir Sundess.

Without his scholarship, I couldn't have gone to college.

Though my wife passed away,

her compassion lives on.

The foundation will continue its mission.

I've appointed Ms. Zhuang as the CEO.

My wife's kindness

will keep helping

fire victims.

Do you know who he is?

Justice of the Peace, Sir Sundess.
