BODY FOUND! COME NOW!

Ask him again.

So, at Officer Ye's doorstep,

you saw a suspicious white car.

CF9673.

But we can't find the white car at the scene now.

There were only two uniformed officers at the scene.

They rushed inside when they heard the gunshot.

They found Officer Ye had been shot in the head.

You were right next to his body.

How do you explain this?

Why did you kill Officer Ye?

Chen Jiajie.

If you don't tell the truth, how can we believe you?

Why were you at the scene?

I didn't kill him.

You keep repeating this one sentence.

At that time, why were you at the scene?

I met Officer Ye at the dock.

I wanted to talk him out of it.

I wanted him to turn himself in.

He asked for some time.

He'd give me evidence.

What evidence?

Evidence of the Vista Tower fire case.

He's involved in the Vista Tower fire case.

I know. He was on the investigative committee.

He took a bribe.

Not just him.

Your father as well.

What did you say?

Officer Ye told me.

Your father participated

in fabricating the report of the committee.

He took a bribe too.

Enough!

Chen Jiajie.

You killed Officer Ye.

You framed him.

You're even trying to frame my dad!

They're both dead, so you can say whatever.

Officer Liu. The fingerprint result came through.

His fingerprints were found on Officer Ye's service gun.

Shenju, ask the Transportation Department

to look up a white car with a plate number of CF9673.

- Check who the owner is. - Roger.

Jiao, go to Kai Tak Public Pier.

Check the footage.

- See if it captured Jiajie and Ye. - Yes.

Kaiqing, Hui.

Check out Jiajie's house.

Why are you here?

Lover.

- Lover? - By Beyond.

Hoping that you won't shed a tear At a corner…

Let's listen to the whole song.

LIFE LOVE, NIGHT OF OFFICER, DEVOTION OF X

GALILEO, DETECTIVE, CODE, TRICK OF MIND

Chen Jiajie.

Why are you doing this? Are you a pervert?

What do you mean?

I went to the safe house.

Why is your house filled with my stuff?

- I don't know. - It is exactly the same.

And you say you don't know?

It's just a coincidence.

Coincidence?

This photo.

What is this?

Why are you and I pasted together?

- How do you explain this? - I wanted to know more about you.

Pervert.

Don't do anything like this again.

And also,

if it was really you who killed Officer Ye,

I won't let you off!

Kaiqing.

Officer Liu.

Give us a moment.

She has no idea how much I miss her and her mother.

Of course, unless you tell her.

You can't blame her.

When she was transferred from CIB to DCS,

No one had faith in her.

Except for one person.

That was Officer Ye.

Later, Officer Ye had her join my team.

In time,

when you tell her the story, she will understand.

Will she understand?

Telling her, her father is a murderer?

Have you found

the clues I said?

I couldn't find the evidence in Officer Ye's house.

The dock's surveillance footage didn't catch

your argument.

So,

your fingerprints were on his service gun,

and there is no explanation.

What about that white car?

The plate is fake.

The chance of finding it is slim.

However, the biggest issue now is you have to appear in court tomorrow.

What?

Your case is going to court.

I'm using Chen Jiajie's identity

to stand trial?

That won't do.

It's bound to blow up.

Let me out, I'll investigate it by myself.

If it were possible, I would have released you.

You're now suspected of murdering Officer Ye.

The Senior Assistant Commissioner and the whole world is watching.

Give me some time.

I will clear you from suspicion.

A suspect is vomiting.

Please call an ambulance.

Doctor. The patient was in the cell.

He swallowed a spoon.

We've removed the spoon for him.

- Okay. Leave it to us. - Thank you.

Mai Zhihong.

Shenju, take Jiajie there first.

What's the matter?

Don't play tricks!

What's wrong with him?

What are you doing?

Keep an eye on him.

I'll go clean up.

What about him?

Then I'll take him. You stand guard.

Jiajie. You're a real piece of work.

Why vomit on me, of all places?

Look at this, it's not coming off!

Mai was spotted on level three.

You go upstairs.

Shenju, what happened? Shenju!

Officer Zhang, Jiajie has escaped.

Seal all exits.

We must not let Chen Jiajie run away!

Also, be careful with Mai. He's also at the scene.

All the exits here have been sealed off by your colleagues now.

And this is your only way out.

Your partners are so mean.

They suspect you of killing Ye.

I even feel sorry for you.

You know who killed him, don't you?

Officer Yao, you have a good nose.

I think you can sniff it out.

Those bastards have done so many bad things.

They should have

received their retribution a long time ago.

That fire was simply hell on earth.

I'm just like you.

I just want to know the truth.

Since we now have the same goal of finding them out,

why don't we collaborate?

Impossible.

I am a cop.

You are a killer.

You really think you're still Officer Yao?

You're alone, without a gun.

The police are all searching for you.

You're a wanted criminal now.

That's just the way the world is.

A lot of things are not for you to choose.

However,

there are always good people

helping you.

Boss.

I split the money to be sent to

South America.

Using a few overseas companies as covers,

even without Ye Cheng, there won't be any problem.

The Southeast Asia business?

Ye was responsible for those bank accounts.

He had inside information.

No one else could take over.

With so many connections there, there's always a way.

Two years ago,

at the Bangladesh Bank,

a hacker froze 100 million dollars.

I heard 80 million of it

was transferred out via casinos there.

I have my men in the casino there. Leave it to me.

Wait.

Casino regulation has always been strict.

Especially the VIP rooms.

Every chip, every check is recorded.

It'll be easily traced back to our door.

What do you have in your mind?

Haven't you seen what I've been doing?

Investing in art pieces.

Low risk, high leverage.

Amount.

Price.

We call the shots.

Okay.

I'll go shopping tomorrow.

You don't mind if I tag along, right?

I don't mind.

However, in the art market,

taste and discernment are essential.

It requires time for cultivation.

If someone who rarely even goes to art exhibitions,

reeks of money,

and casually joined us,

it would arouse suspicion.

I don't want our boss to be implicated.

What do you mean?

Alright, don't interfere with Zhuang's business.

Did you find the officer who escaped?

The policeman is called Chen Jiajie.

He's from WestK DCS.

Just a low-ranking one.

Tough luck for him,

becoming our scapegoat.

Come over right away.

I'll tell you everything.

I have something

I'll hand it over to you.

Two things. The evidence.

And his life.

Roger.

The evidence?

Hand over the evidence!

Boss.

I haven't found

what the evidence is.

We raised an ungrateful dog this time.

It came back to bite us.

I didn't expect that scumbag would dare to betray us!

No matter how,

you must find that piece of evidence.

It cannot fall into police hands.

I know, Boss.

BABY YANG'S ONE MONTH BIRTHDAY

OFFICER ZHANG

Hello, Officer Zhang.

We were just informed by CIB.

A roadside camera

spotted Jiajie near Officer Ye's residence.

We are heading there.

You look happy. Any good news?

- What? - Drink it.

I quit drinking long ago.

You never get drunk. What would you quit?

Getting older made me cherish my life.

I've given away all my treasures. Not a bottle of liquor left.

Impressive. It can record videos?

Officer Ye. Boss has a new assignment for you.

Chen Jiajie, freeze!

Stay down!

Don't move. Come back with me.

I can't go back with you.

You killed Officer Ye.

I didn't kill Officer Ye.

I didn't kill him.

I am not Chen Jiajie.

My name is Yang Guangyao.

I come from the year 1993.

In 1993, when I was chasing a criminal,

I chased him into an elevator. It went out of control.

And I ended up in the year 2018.

You were only three.

- What do you mean? - You don't remember, do you?

Anything before you were six?

Because when you were six,

you witnessed a traffic accident.

And you lost your memory.

Xingyao.

I don't know what you mean.

Whether you are Chen or Yang Guangyao.

Come back with me.

I really didn't kill Officer Ye.

I didn't kill Officer Ye.

Give me some time.

I will prove it to you.

Chen Jiajie, stop right there! Move again and I'll shoot!

YANG GUANGYAO

YANG GUANGYAO PROFILE

YANG GUANGYAO DISAPPEARED, STILL MISSING

TIME TRAVEL

I'm not Chen Jiajie.

My name is Yang Guangyao

I come from the year 1993.

This guy refuses to say anything.

No cell phone, no ID.

Only a pager and a Swiss Army knife.

A pager? What decade are you living in?

Because when you were six,

you witnessed a traffic accident.

You lost your memory.

YANG DISAPPEARED

Xingyao.

Omelet rice.

Not interested?

Last time, I saw a scar on your arm.

How did you get that?

I got it when I was a child.

There was a fire at home.

I cut myself on glass.

You're pretty brave.

You a Virgo?

I'm not a Virgo.

I'm a Scorpio.

TO XINGYAO

Xingyao.

This photo was taken

when you were one month old.

Weitao took it for us

and Officer Ye.

At that time, I had just become a father.

I was ignorant.

Holding you, I felt a great weight.

Not because you were heavy,

but because I felt the responsibility was enormous.

Yet, I also felt very happy.

At that moment, I thought I had plenty of time

to learn how to be a dad.

But I never expected,

on the night of No.8 gale signal,

in pursuit of a serial killer case,

I would go to Mei Chen

and faint in the elevator.

Upon waking up,

I found myself in the year 2018.

It took me a great effort to find you.

But you had completely forgotten about me.

After I went missing,

your mother raised you alone.

She searched for me for years.

Only to meet with a traffic accident.

She left us.

At that time, you were only six years old.

It was so much of a shock for you

that you lost all your memories.

I…

I dare not imagine what you went through.

You suddenly lost both parents.

You must have been very scared,

very sad,

and very helpless.

Perhaps it was for the best that heaven took your memory,

so you wouldn't suffer too much.

If you don't remember our time together,

it's okay. I remember.

I'm not asking you to recognize me as your dad.

I just want you to know that I didn't lie.

Weitao and Tianming have known about this for a long time.

If you don't believe me, you can ask them.

I'll be waiting at your mother's grave.

Officer Liu.

Chen Jiajie is Yang Guangyao who disappeared in 1993, right?

I know it's hard for you to accept,

But that's the reality.

Jiajie

really is your dad.

THE WESTERN TIMES: MAY 22, 1996

PASSERSBY HIT BY A CAR MOTHER DIED

DAUGHTER WITNESSED THE SCENE

It's a lot to take in all of a sudden.

I know it's hard.

When I first saw this news,

I couldn't accept it.

But it is indeed a fact we can't change.

And in fact, you really are my daughter, Xingyao.

Do you remember?

Now, you're telling me all this.

What do you want me to do?

I don't want you to do anything.

I just want to prove to you, I'm not running away.

Everything I've done is to uncover the truth.

At the underground bank

that was photographed by Ye's glasses,

I remember there were several takeaway bags

marked with "Chung Kee."

It should be nearby.

That man told Officer Ye,

a boss gave him an assignment.

That man could be an important figure.

We have a chance

to find the mastermind behind the fire case.

Why should I believe you?

Here's a tracker.

It can be connected to your phone.

You can find me anytime.

Do you realize you are a fugitive now,

and I'm a police officer?

How can I let you go?

I swear in front of Peijie.

Every word I've told you is true.

If there's even half a lie,

I can never go back to see her in my life.

How's the Deng Hongfa case going?

Still no leads.

Why look into a case from so long ago?

The Deng Hongfa case

is very likely related to the Ma Furong case.

You're a police officer.

There are always cases.

Since you're off work, you should relax and rest.

Living alone, there's no one to fix things for you.

Call me if you need anything.

Anything else?

No, that's all.

You're so busy with work. I don't want to keep bothering you.

What's wrong? Tired?

- A little bit. - Or is there something on your mind?

No.

Okay.

It's done.

What's the matter?

From the look of you,

you seem preoccupied.

Am I?

No.

Do you remember

what Daddy told you when you first

became a team leader?

I remember.

You told me,

you'll always be my support.

I can always talk to you no matter what.

So, is there anything?

Nothing.

Really?

Alright. Let's watch the game.

Okay.

I'll take a shower.

Let's cast the screen to the TV.

Password?

Yours and Mom's birthdays.

EXPLORING HISTORY, HIGH-RANKING INSPECTOR YANG GUANGYAO MISSING REPORTS

Rumor has it, Officer Liu went to the ninth floor.

Seems to be held accountable.

He let Jiajie loose

for the second time in a row.

He's definitely going to take the blame.

Officer Ma.

- Officer. - Officer.

- Officer Ma. - Sit.

Group B

is investigating two cases.

It is short-staffed.

Officer Liu will temporarily

go over there to help.

As for Chen's case,

Officer Zhang,

you take charge.

Report directly to me.

Additionally,

the day Officer Ye died,

what exactly happened, where did he go…?

Investigate all leads again.

Don't let go of any clues.

Officer Zhang.

- What is it? - Officer Zhang.

I've been thinking about what Chen Jiajie said.

It might be true.

Which matter?

On the night of the crime,

Chen Jiajie and Officer Ye

met at Kai Tak Public Pier.

It looks like they argued.

Jiajie asked us to look into the cameras at the pier.

Nothing turned up.

If he wanted to mislead us,

that doesn't make sense.

Do you think Chen Jiajie did not lie?

I've checked Officer Ye's phone location records.

He was not at the pier.

Is it possible that during this period,

his phone was off, so there was no location tracking?

According to the location records,

three hours before the incident,

Officer Ye had been to Chi Kiang Street No. 45 to 48.

And he stayed there for 20 minutes.

This is highly unusual.

- Is there surveillance nearby? - Yes.

But it's under maintenance.

I suggest we search the building.

See if we can find anything.

Okay, let's go check out Chi Kiang Street

and try to find any clues.

Kaiqing.

Yes, Officer Zhang?

What makes you suddenly trust Chen Jiajie?

Nothing.

There's something.

If there's anything, you can be honest with me.

I met with Jiajie.

He told me,

he comes from the year 1993.

And he told me many things,

He said I'm his--

What else did he say?

He gave me the information.

In the video taken by Officer Ye's glasses,

he saw the underground bank,

There were takeaway bags.

The restaurant is nearby.

Where is he now?

- His GPS location. - You hid this important info until now?

I believe that he didn't kill Officer Ye.

If he can help us find the truth,

I think it's worth a try.

Let's go.

CHUNG KEE SIU MEI

Four char siu chicken rice to go.

Bro.

Can I borrow your lighter?

Okay?

Thanks.

It's you again? Just call next time.

- I can deliver it for you. - No need

Shenju, Jiao, you head to number 45.

Kaiqing and I will go to number 47.

Hui, keep a lookout in the car. Move out.

CHI KIANG STREET NUMBER 45

Ma, what took you so long today?

I'm starving.

Enough whining. Eat your food and get to work.

Go inside.

Officer Zhang, we've found nothing on the fourth floor.

Now to the fifth floor.

Hu, I bought you food.

ENGINEERING COMPANY

Officer Zhang, the target is going upstairs.

But I don't know which floor.

CHUNG KEE

How dare you come here?

- Let's talk-- - Talk, my ass!

- Gui! - You want to talk?

Just a few words. A few words!
