BLUE-KING GAMBLE HOUSE, TO-PAN

TO-PAN, TRILATERAL SLOPES

Fresh Blood

gushes out.

Only dead fish will drift on the water aimlessly.

What are you talking about?

This is the evidence.

Even if you peel off my skin,

you can't wash it off.

What? What have you done?

What?

You did it?

Yes.

Don't waste your time.

He's dead.

Why?

They called me and said

my mom's surgery didn't work out

and she needed another one.

I was so anxious.

So I went to the casino and found someone about my age.

He placed his bet without thinking when he had money,

but he was just an onlooker when he had none.

I was really desperate at that time. I came up to him and said

it was more fun to gamble in To-pan.

He could gamble even without money.

He thought

I seemed uneducated and timid

like a coward who didn't know how to fight,

so he said I didn't have the nerve to lie to him.

Xia Wenjing signed a bill with him.

He lost everything in less than an hour.

I took the money and wired it over right away.

But it was still too late.

My mom was already gone.

What, Xing?

"Come to the Trilateral Slopes."

"Work hard and you'll get rich."

They tricked me.

So I tricked him.

Guo Limin. Look at this.

Look at this!

Do you remember it?

This year.

February 15th.

At the construction site of Xinhao Hotel Phase II.

That's what we built together.

Mr. Cai stabbed me,

and I was half dead when I ran back to the site.

You were the one who carried me inside.

You changed my dressings.

I told you at the time,

Guo Limin,

I've kept your kindness in mind.

If I can ever repay you in my life, I will definitely do anything I can.

Xing.

I still remember that day

you bought me a small cake.

That cake was especially sweet.

You are timid.

At the construction site, the coworkers bullied you

and wouldn't spare you a bunk.

When you went to work at the casino,

the gamblers and waiters there also bullied you.

I went to beg Yan Baimei

to make you the foreman,

so that no one would dare to bully you.

And there was that madman, Lei Ming.

I threatened him

that if he dared to bully you again, there would be consequences.

When you couldn't stay at Century Casino,

I went to beg Liu Jincui.

I went to beg Wang Anquan.

I acted lowly in front of them

just hoping that you could live a bit better.

Guo.

Can't you see all that?

I can.

And right now,

I see everything more clearly than ever before.

Xing.

You kept saying

that you would help me

and look out for me

so I wouldn't be bullied.

You got me a job, gave me money,

and got me promoted.

I remember all of it.

But every time you helped me,

I thought it was because you felt you were superior to me.

Weren't you leaving already?

Why didn't you leave in the end?

And I think

I have never been normal.

I have never been a normal person.

I've never lived for myself.

So we

can only stay here,

soak in here,

and rot.

Guo Limin, are you crazy?

I don't need you to pity me!

Don't pity me!

Don't pity me!

Don't pity me!

Don't pity me!

Don't pity me!

Don't pity me!

Don't pity me! Don't pity me!

-Don't move! -Don't pity me!

Don't move.

Stop!

Don't move!

Don't move!

Don't move!

Come on. Move!

Xing.

You're playing me, huh?

-Are you crazy? Lower your voice. -Why? What are you afraid of?

Haven't you done a great deed? Isn't he a hero? Right?

What are you afraid of?

I've done nothing.

Those officers went straight from Kyu-pon and had nothing to do with us.

It's just that this time, it involves Century Casino,

so they locked you here for now.

You had this excuse ready before you came, right?

How long did it take?

Xing.

If I was in charge, I would definitely have gone there.

Do I have to show you the application form?

It's still on my desk, not even approved.

You are lucky.

They think you've been forced into repaying your money.

Once your credentials are verified, you can go.

Okay, then tell me.

If you didn't call them, who did?

How would I know?

You should know that it requires solid evidence

when the federal police enforce the law in Bokang.

I don't know why Kyu-pon dispatched the police directly.

What will happen to Guo Limin?

The law will have the answer.

Officer Jue Xintun.

Thank you so much.

You've been busy running around for him.

-Thank you. -It's my job.

Thanks to Ambassador Fan and Secretary Liu.

Without their help, we couldn't have found Tian so quickly.

He has suffered a lot.

Get him to the hospital.

Alright, we'll be leaving.

-Officer. -Tian.

He…

is a good man.

Tian.

Do you have backup of everything you filmed?

Yes.

Release all of it to the public.

Don't sulk.

The muscle from the debt-forcing room

usually gets out in a few months.

He has killed someone.

That might be more troublesome.

I just can't figure out

who called the police.

Even if you knew who it was, what could you do?

This is a serious case with so many people involved.

Any part of it could go wrong.

The people from the casino are bad at keeping secrets.

They might tell other people during casual conversations.

What's wrong?

Wang Anquan, come here.

What are you doing?

What are you doing, Xing?

Why did you call the police?

What police? What are you talking about?

You've messed up my whole plan.

What are you talking about? I don't understand a single word you say.

-Have you been to Blue-King Gamble House? -I have.

Only you know what happens there. No one else knows.

I went to Blue-King Gamble House

because Ms. Rong asked me to deliver something to Jin Long.

Cut that crap.

I am not lying, Xing.

Ms. Rong said

after I delivered it, she would take me to Kamon.

Look what you've become now?

Do you really think she will take you to Kamon?

Plane ticket.

Passport. I've got them all.

Have you ever thought about what she'd do to you in Kamon?

-Aren't you afraid? -Of what?

My life hit the bottom long ago.

Don't worry.

Hear that siren?

I've been tired of it already.

I saw Guo being taken into that police car.

He became muscle for the debt-forcing room,

and the Trilateral Slopes devoured him.

Fortunately, I have Buddha.

Buddha blesses me. He doesn't have one.

Before I leave, I'll give it to you as a keepsake, alright?

No?

If you don't want it, I'll keep it for myself then.

Remember to look for me after you go back to China.

I'm Wang Anquan. I am your most reliable man.

Goodbye.

Since…

FORTUNE IS ON THE TURN, ONE CARD CAN CHANGE YOUR FATE

CHANGE YOUR FATE

It took us four hours to solve

this cross-region kidnapping and extortion case.

It may just be the fastest

and most precise operation in Bokang.

Moreover, we will also seal off their operation sites,

Century Casino and Blue-King Gamble House,

to conduct further investigations.

No, no evidence.

Does Yan Baimei have a contract?

Go check it.

Does Century Hotel have anything to do with me?

You can look into it, right?

Exactly, goodbye.

Blue-King.

Even if it's shut down, I can still get the land back.

I promise.

Xia Wenjing owes you money. What does that have to do with me?

He could force people to sign bills right under your nose.

It has already been spread around.

I don't even know how to answer you.

Xing, have you collected Xia Wenjing's rent?

No?

What do you mean by shaking your head?

It means you didn't collect it or you don't know?

Stop asking questions!

I can't just summon Xia Wenjing here now, can I?

Leave! Get lost.

-That's default! -Get lost.

Move.

Get out.

Mr. Cai.

All the ports of Monung have been cut off.

We can't get the goods now.

And they don't seem to be out of stock.

I think they're colluding together

to work against To-pan and refuse to ship goods to us.

-What about Jin Shikai and Kan Ruidang? -I couldn't reach them either.

We called them like hundreds of times but still couldn't get through.

What should we do, Mr. Cai?

Aiso will undergo ascetic practices next month.

The beef thing has to be stopped.

If the cigarettes and alcohol can't come in,

then we have nothing to deliver to the mountains.

Xing, come here.

Come here.

Sit.

Is it fun?

Do you see the consequences?

Why did you call the police if you knew what would happen?

What?

You ratted on Blue-King?

What are you doing, Oil Lamp? What are you doing?

It can't have been Xing.

Didn't that chip stacker from Century Casino call the police?

I know about this.

I was indeed planning to call the police.

You weren't just planning.

You had already contacted your police friend, Jue Xintun.

Why?

We've already got back the principal of both the Water Hall and Fire Hall.

Otherwise, I wouldn't dare do it.

When you ratted on Blue-King, you also dragged To-pan into this mess.

Blue-King has already been subcontracted to Xia Wenjing.

It has nothing to do with To-pan.

Even if the debt-forcing room has nothing to do with To-pan,

don't you know that the backer is Luan Basong?

Ratting on the Blue-King Gamble House would surely provoke Kinchamba.

That Jason Li was running a casino in Kamon.

Did he have to come here to ask Yan Baimei to manage it for him?

He just knew the relationship between Yan Baimei and Mr. Cai.

And he wanted Yan Baimei to betray Mr. Cai.

To open a debt-forcing room under our noses,

isn't that humiliating Mr. Cai?

But it's also causing us a lot of trouble now.

Indeed, I did have my reasons.

-But I just went with the flow… -Xing, I want to ask you something.

Has your friend been rescued now?

Blue-King has been shut down.

Has the Trilateral Slopes gotten any better?

-No. -Exactly.

It's all about the fight between Luan Basong and Luoyang.

Luan Basong wants to take over Luoyang's shipping route for carrying gamblers.

And Luoyang is also our biggest client.

So it's normal they want to mess with us.

Stop asking whose fault it really is.

Just wait and see how it plays out.

Haste makes waste.

Come to the Trilateral Slopes. Work hard and you'll get rich.

They tricked me.

So I tricked him.

COME TO THE TRILATERAL SLOPES WORK HARD AND YOU'LL GET RICH

I remember them all.

But every time you helped me,

I thought it was because you felt you were superior to me.

Xing.

Let's drink.

I don't know why.

After you decided to stay here,

I suddenly felt that my mind also became more open.

Now the people and things around me all seem different.

You

are like a younger version of me.

I don't think so.

I do think so.

You ratted on Blue-King, which was bold.

I didn't do that out of impulse.

Actually, before this, Mr. Cai had already given me a hint

right by the Zhuifu River.

What do you mean?

He said he hoped that whenever

I face questions of right and wrong,

I could still stand by my own judgment.

No matter what choices I made, he would back me up.

Here is what I thought.

You told me before

that Mr. Cai has always brooded over Yan Baimei.

He was quite angry.

So ever since he returned from the Buddhist temple,

he had made a plan.

Either by working with Century Casino or cutting ties with Blue-King,

he was already prepared for a war.

Otherwise, it was impossible that he didn't punish me.

Yes, you are right.

Whether it's Yan Baimei or those targeting him,

anyway, what is done is done.

You don't have to overthink it. Let's drink.

Young man.

Young man.

Who are you?

The rain is too heavy. We can't make it back home.

My kid is hungry. Please give us some food.

Mommy, I'm hungry.

Wait.

Wait here.

Thank you.

Faster.

Where is the sticky rice cake from lunch?

In the back, I think.

Here.

Thank you.

Where is your kid?

Well, I think I am just Mr. Cai's gun.

I don't mind it, though.

After all, because of this identity, I have had it easy.

Things I couldn't even dream of or accomplish before,

I can do them now.

I also have some selfish thoughts.

But you know, it's just

I feel especially uncomfortable.

I'm well aware that Mr. Cai can speculate on everything I do.

I can never escape him.

Well said.

Whatever.

Don't overthink it.

He has always been like this.

We are family anyway.

Tuo. Xing.

There's been an incident. Come on. This way.

It's good.

For your friend, this might be the best.

Why?

Reeducation through labor. Reeducation, you know.

Even those who have strayed far can be led back.

It's just that his family might have to struggle a bit.

But there's no other way.

I've contacted his family and also sent the money.

But from what his sister said,

I think she doesn't want to go to school anymore.

It's not so bad.

Depends who you're comparing them to.

If you compare her to me back then, she is lucky.

You just said you're the only one left in To-pan.

What do you mean?

Mr. Cai will go practice asceticism with Aiso.

The others have all gone to the border to get supplies.

They didn't let me go.

Then you are not going anywhere.

Perhaps purchasing goods requires customs clearance.

I don't have a passport, so it's not convenient.

Then you can take that gift box with you when you drive me back home.

Why, you don't want it?

Not really.

The size is too big.

Exchange it.

Heads-up. I won't do that business with Kunpadi.

Don't ask why.

Certainly not for those stupid reasons.

I just don't want to do it.

Okay.

That's good news.

If you won't do it, will President Chen be upset?

It seems he also doesn't do that anymore.

Perfect.

Then you don't need to leave.

I'm planning to do some small business.

You can give me some advice then.

You're so cunning.

Let's partner up.

Okay.

You finish the drink already?

I'll go buy you another one.

I'll have one too.

Let's consider this our first shareholders' meeting.

Throw this away.

Liu Jincui, right?

What happened?

That man's daughter

was our last bride married off to Landpley.

We didn't even get the intermediary fee.

Turned out the bride had a strange temperament.

She tried to run away several times.

They broke her legs,

and she hanged herself.

No one knows how the word got out.

And the bride's father found out.

That's the whole story.

I have changed her dressings.

-Cui. -Get lost!

Can you get it?

Yeah, yeah.

Like this?

OK. Got it.

-I got it. -Alright, move on to the next one.

Move the stones.

Move the stones over here.

-I can do it. -Great.

You still can't do it.

What on earth are you doing here all day long?

Let's go, come home with me.

-I'm not going back, Dad. -Sir.

I'm not messing around.

-He's here to help us. -Move aside!

-Make way. -Teach the child…

You brat, make way.

Justin.

Dad, I really am not messing around.

Womon.

Dad.

Come to the Trilateral Slopes,

work hard and get rich.

What does it really mean by working hard?

Is hard work more important or luck?

Guo has worked hard enough, right?

And what happened?

I found a tapir.

I can be considered to be lucky.

If this is part of your plan,

can you just

give me a hint

about the next step?

Stay…

or leave?

Leave…

or stay?

Stay…

or leave?

Leave?

You should have been the one who got hit.

Or stay?

Mr. Cai.

Happy Birthday.

Thank you.

Stay?

The Trilateral Slopes devoured him.

Xing.

Or leave?

Wake up!

Wake up!

Wake up!

Fire! Wake up!

Wake up! Fire! Put out the fire!

The Blue House is on fire! Put out the fire!

Hey!

What are you doing? Who are you?

What are you doing?

-Let me go. Let me have a try. -No, no, no! Come out!

-What are you doing? -Let's leave!

What are you doing?

Do you see it?

Even the rain could extinguish it. Why did you stop me?

You don't need to explain. I don't understand whatever you say.

Why didn't you let me put out the fire?

I would have put out the fire by now if you hadn't stopped me.

How am I supposed to explain it when my boss comes back?

Why did you stop me?

Stupid. Coward!

But… Well… This is not my fault.

You can understand me?

Only a little.

Are you okay?

Yeah.

The fire is out. You can leave.

Just go! Why are you still standing here?

I need you to take me back.

Why should I? How did you get here?

I swam here.

Then swim back.

I swam here, so I don't want to swim back.
