Manchester United, by far,
are City's biggest enemies.

and I go in to work...

it's dog's abuse for at least a week.

be worried that there are now
two teams in Manchester,

but there's only really one.

Well, it's not in Manchester, is it?

It's got a Manchester post code,
but it's the city of Salford.

It's the border of Trafford.

City to me are just the "noisy neighbors."
That's what Fergie used to say.

We're City. We're the best team
in the land, in all the world.

Manchester is definitely blue,
no question about it.

Don't be silly, Manchester is red.

Beating United, that's...
That has to be the best feeling ever.

Priceless.

current champions Chelsea,

and after a two-week break
for international competition,

City are flying high.

Three more Premier League wins

in which they outscored their opponents
by thirteen goals to four.

But if they want to be considered
the best team in England and in Europe,

they have to become
the best team in their city.

And for many years,
that team has been Manchester United.

the number one fixture
in the season for this club.

for the blue half of Manchester,

all the time, the Derby is everything...

and it's been a day
until the last five, six, seven years,

that City fans have ultimately dreaded.

We cannot forget that club
in the last fifteen or twenty years.

Their neighbors were United
with Alex Ferguson.

They win every season.

It's totally relevant that City
have got the cooler musician fans.

And who've United got? Simply Red?

and the prestigious
UEFA Champions League three times.

But everything about the rivalry changed
on May 13th, 2012.

A day no Mancunian will ever forget.

In the last game of the season,

City had the chance to win the Premier
League title.

But if they dropped points
against Queen's Park Rangers...

and United won their match
against Sunderland...

City would hand another title to United.

United, in their blue away kit,

beat Sunderland
thanks to a Wayne Rooney goal.

[commentator] ...through the back post
to Rooney who was able to stoop

and nod it into the empty net.

[narrator]
Meanwhile, City were struggling,

drawing 2-2, deep into injury time...

on the verge of blowing their best chance
of the League title in 44 years.

But then, City striker, Sergio Agüero,
did this.

[commentator] Manchester City
are still alive here. [screaming] Agüero!

They've just heard the news
at the Stadium of Light.

I swear you'll never see
anything like this ever again.

I know I won't see in my lifetime again

the goal he scored
against QPR to win the League.

I'll never see it again in my life.

If somebody were to give you
a million pounds or a million euros,

you wouldn't have been able to describe
that moment, how it was going to happen.

It was unbelievable and I think
that'll stick in everybody's memory.

for Manchester City is unbelievable.

There's not enough superlatives

And he's been the club's leading

a team with our history in Europe like us.

for the knockout stage

A repeat of that win would be just

A defender,
also known for his distribution.

He is already one
of the best central defenders in the world

and he will be absolutely top.

of Guardiola's first signings in 2016

for a reported 47.5 million pounds.

Then, the second highest fee
in Premier League history.

The Premier League returns

from the final international break
of the year

and for Manchester City
that means a meeting with Leicester.

in fifteen games,

Kompany and Stones are paired
in central defense,

but after two minutes
City nearly lose one of them.

down under Vincent Kompany's

mistimed challenge.

Just two minutes into the game,

Claude Puel thinks
it should be a red card.

The body language
of the referee suggests yellow

and he already had the yellow card
in his hand, in fact.

there's no such luck for Stones.

smiling is 24-year-old Raheem Sterling.

His 88th-minute goal against Feyenoord
secures first place for City

in their Champions League group.

and Manchester City have had to wait

That was an amazing feeling,

what it meant to us

showed what we were about,

I thought that was
