many of us sabotage our relationships

because we don't realise what's normal in a relationship

I'm gonna share with you 3 things that are normal in a relationship

and do not necessarily mean that you should break up

or this relationship isn't a good relationship etcetera

so thing number one

is that all relationships go through rupture and repair periods

so this is the merging of 2 human beings

and so there are going to be issues

you should expect issues

and that is the rupture

that is the kind of bump in the road

and what happens after that is the repair period

and there's always going to be a rupture

there's always going to be a repair

this is how a relationship works

number 2 is that insecurities anxiousness

feelings of overwhelm

these can be very normal costs to a growing relationship

so as you get the benefit of connection

as you get the benefit of love

there are going to be certain prices to pay

and if we expect to get all of this positive without some negative

that is completely unrealistic

and there is going to be some cost to pay for kind of this growing relationship

that is completely normal

3rd thing is that you are in a relationship with another human being

they are going to be imperfect

they are not going to be what you expected

and they are going to have flaws

there is literally no human being out there that doesn't have flaws

and we should expect it to unearth more and more flaws

because we all have them

and it's completely normal obviously

I should caveat this by saying that there are very toxic relationships out there

abusive individuals

that is not what I'm talking about

I'm talking about normal human flaws that just kind of annoy you

and in no way cause you harm
