Don't worry mumma , we might reach home by 12 o'clock.

Manu.

At this pace, we might reach home by tomorrow.

Dad, next time let's come on bicycles to watch a movie .

Maybe then we'll get home faster.

Brilliant idea, Manu.

In fact, cycling might even help your dad get some exercise.

The thing is, as time goes by,

your father’s belly and his age seem to be growing in perfect proportion.

Dad. - Yes?

Why does this chemistry teacher sound like a math teacher today?

Once a teacher, always a teacher.

And Daddy's favorite, stop rambling on.

Let’s go home, and I’ll give you a lesson.

Come on, just drive the car.

Why? - The signal.

Oh, come on, Tara.

Are we seriously waiting for the light to turn green

on a deserted road at this hour of the night?

We should follow the rules,

but we don’t even like following them

and then we end up blaming the system.

Manu, who's calling you?

It was a call from Isha.

Let's go.

Yes, just let me check. Yeah.

Oh yes, I got the documents.

Yeah, bye, thank you.

What’s this? What do you want?

Permission. - Permission for what?

Actually, dad, there's a party.

All my friends are going.

Where's the party? - Fairy land.

It's an amazing place, Dad.

There's no need to go.

Go wherever you want during the day, no late-night parties.

Mom, listen.

Yes, and if I'm not mistaken...

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day.

But this isn't a Valentine's Day party.

Tara, just let her go.

All the kids are leaving.

Hemant, why are you interrupting? I'm taking care of this.

Besides, you're heading to Delhi tomorrow.

Mom, what does Dad going to Delhi have to do with my party?

You're right.

Then, here's what you can do, go to the party.

But make sure you're back by 9.

Alright, I'll leave early tomorrow morning.

And I'll come back after cleaning there.

Manu, that's a brilliant idea.

Do that. - Oh, God!

Oh, Tara.

Come on, she's just a child.

Tara... Manu!

Hi, baby.

I know you hate me a lot.

You may avoid my calls,

but how will you avoid this message?

No matter how far you run, I’m not letting you go.

You’ve been marked with Rohit Jamwal's stamp.

Either you'll be mine, or no one’s.

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day.

You better come. I’ll be waiting.

Bye.

Oh my goodness! Mom! - What are you doing?

I have told you so many times...

It’s bad manners to enter someone's room without knocking.

I didn’t enter a neighbor's room, I came into my daughter's room.

Your daughter is now 18 years old.

Exactly, she's just turned 18.

Only 18 years old.

You are impossible.

I’ve become Manu’s mom, what am I supposed to do now?

What needed to happen, has already happened.

Listen.

Mom... - I came to ask you something.

Are you okay?

Yes, I’m fine.

For sure? - Yes, please go.

Okay, then give me a kiss.

No. - Just one.

Only one.

I’m leaving.

Manu, that’s enough TV for tonight.

Just a little longer, come on, Mom. - No.

No, it's getting late. Go to bed now.

Goodnight.

No, buddy. Mom said I can’t.

You all have fun.

I even talked to Dad.

Yeah, nothing happened.

Okay, Isha. I’ll call you back. Bye.

What’s going on, Manu? You’re still not ready?

Aren’t you supposed to go to college? - No.

Why not?

Actually, Mom...

What happened?

Nothing, Mom.

Today’s Valentine's Day.

The boys will act as though they're desperate.

They’ll be granted a free pass to misbehave.

I really don’t like that.

Then you should stop them.

Look, Manu, if you keep being afraid like this,

everyone will continue to intimidate you.

I don’t want anyone calling my daughter a coward.

If I skip the party, they'll still label me a coward.

Would that be acceptable to you?

Do what I said.

Good morning!

Hello!

What's the discussion happening between mother and daughter?

Hemant, I... - Dad, we don’t discuss things here.

Here, only orders are given.

And because of you,

this house feels more like a school,

with you as my teacher.

For once, try behaving like my mother.

Bye.

Good day, everyone.

Hi, Manu.

Oh, goodness! You look absolutely stunning.

Thanks, Isha.

You’re looking fabulous too.

What’s the point of looking fabulous?

I haven't received a single rose since morning.

Come on, Isha, let's go to class.

Baby, you're like...

spicy hot chili.

I mean, you have no idea how stunning you look.

I feel like I could just devour you.

By the way, I've been craving something spicy all morning.

Isha, come on, let's head to the market.

Right now? - Yes.

I’ll get some chili powder and make him choke on it.

You're seriously craving something spicy.

You have a fantastic sense of humor. I like it.

My slapping skills are exceptional. Would you like to test them?

Listen carefully, Rohit...

I've warned you countless times,

yet you continue to cross the line.

From now on, if you message me,

call me, or misbehave in any way,

I'll file a complaint with the principal.

Just stay away from me.

Let's go, Isha.

Alright, Rohit.

This spicy one is going to be overwhelming for you.

Vikram, smoke is billowing from everywhere!

Is that so? - Look at him.

Guys, that's enough. Stop it now.

Otherwise, everyone will end up in trouble.

Shut up, coward.

You're standing with your seniors.

No one here dares to lay a finger on us.

Rohit, your plans won't even take off.

In fact, they're doomed before they even begin.

This is beyond your capabilities. - That's good.

You can pick up the flowers.

Here, Priya, have some sweets.

Ma'am, this wasn't necessary.

It was necessary, Priya got 80% marks.

On this achievement, having sweets is well deserved.

Ms. Tara, if you hadn't helped...

I didn't even have enough money to pay her school fees.

I don't know how I'll ever be able to repay this kindness.

Lakshmi, you will have to repay this debt.

When she grows up and starts working,

she’ll bring me plenty of sweets, won’t she?

Here, take this, my dear.

Here, turmeric pickle.

I made it myself for you.

Where have we come to?

Whose house is this? - It's Manasvi's.

What the hell?

Have you lost your mind, Rohit?

We'll keep getting beaten up for no reason.

Let's get out of here. - You coward!

You sit in the car.

I’m going. - No, Rohit. Listen...

Today, either this chapter will start or it will end.

No, Rohit. Listen to me, don't go.

Rohit, stop.

Rohit, listen to me.

Rohit, come back!

Wait a moment, who are you here to see?

Listen, you can't go in like this. Who are you here to see?

Guard!

How dare you!

How dare you show up at my house!

How dare you humiliate me in front of everyone?

Don't you realize how lucky you are?

Rohit Jamwal is in love with you.

Girls are dying to go on dates with me.

And you!

Who do you think you are?

Let go of my hand.

What's going on here? Who is he?

Mom, this is Rohit. He's from my college.

You go inside. I'll handle this.

Manu, shut up!

What nonsense are you talking?

What's your problem? - Ask your daughter.

Who does she think she is? Listen...

I love her deeply, and make her understand.

Do you know who I am?

I'm the sole heir to the Jamwal group.

I could easily buy girls like her.

You insolent fool! Get out of here!

Mom! Please listen! - Leave!

You're spouting nonsense in my house!

Get out and listen!

Next time you so much as glance at my daughter...

...you won't have the slightest idea what I'll do to you.

Don’t even think about it! Just go!

Close the gate.

Manu, did you see that guy... - Is your drama finally over?

Are you satisfied now?

Dear, I was... - Please, mom.

Don’t do anything for me that will make me falter.

Let me handle my life in my own way.

Do you have any idea

what I might have to endure because of your behavior, mom?

Because outside this house, in college, in the rickshaw,

you won't always be with me, mom.

I will have to handle all of this myself.

Do you think that after you slap him, Rohit will just stay quiet?

On the contrary, it's going to cause me more trouble.

I have to fight my own battles, Mom.

That’s exactly what I was trying to do.

But because of you...

Why is it so silent?

Actually, I'm starving,

so I need to eat.

Won't you invite your beloved daughter for dinner today?

She's just your beloved daughter.

Because her mother is always scolding her, yelling at her.

But no one tries to understand...

the reason behind it.

Hemant, you know, you never said anything to her.

That's why you're the hero of her life.

I keep reprimanding her, which is why I end up being the villain.

Yeah, so I'll give you a chance to be the hero too.

Come on, Tara.

She's just a kid.

That's exactly what I'm saying.

She’s still just a child.

But she doesn't think she's still a child.

But you want to be the Hero Mom, right?

Then you'll have to call her right now.

Seriously, Hemant? - Sorry.

By the way, what's for dinner?

Don't take your anger out on the food.

Come inside and have something to eat.

Sorry, Manu.

I know, I overreacted.

Sorry.

Manu, what was I supposed to do?

That guy was saying things to you that were completely out of line.

I just wanted to slap him.

I mean, he comes to my house,

behaves disrespectfully with my daughter right in front of me,

and I'm supposed to stay quiet?

I can't do this.

Manu,

no one is more important to me in this world than you.

I mean it.

Are you going to keep crying?

You have a lot to do right now.

You need to decide which dress to wear.

You also need to figure out your makeup.

I mean how you want to apply your eyeliner.

You need to make all these decisions now.

Do I have to decide? - Yes.

For the party.

You mean I’m going to the party?

If you don’t want to go, that’s fine with me.

Thank you! Thank you so much, Mom.

Manu, listen,

no matter what happens,

be home before 12.

Yes, I'll come back.

Isha and all my friends are coming with me. We'll be back soon.

If you'd like, I can come and pick you up.

No, Mom, don't worry, I'll be fine.

Are you sure?

You are the best mother!

I know. Let's go.

Dad! - Yes.

You'll definitely be here in two days, right?

Of course, dear.

Hemant, you forgot to pack the medicines.

Thank you.

I’ve kept your flight tickets in the outer pocket.

How many more times are you going to remind me of the same thing?

Have a safe trip, Dad.

I’ll miss you. - I’ll miss you too.

I’ll miss you as well. Give me a hug too.

Dad, what about my US visa procedure?

We will do it immediately after I arrive.

Dad, please don't forget. - No..

We’ll talk about everything later, otherwise, Dad will miss his flight.

Let's go. - Let's go.

Manu, you have your party today, right?

You have to enjoy it.

I mean, just have a blast there.

Enjoy fully.

And come back on time. Okay? - Don't worry.

I love you. - I love you too.

Hemant, your suitcase. - Oh, my suitcase.

My suitcase, bye!

Goodbye, dad. - Goodbye.

Let's go.

Manasvi!

Bro.

Manasvi looks stunning today.

Forget it, man.

Rohit won't be able to handle it.

He'll just end up getting beaten up again.

Rohit, enjoy your drink.

Please, don't do it.

If Rohit's mind goes off track, he'll do something stupid again.

Look at this coward!

Nothing has even happened yet, and he's already scared.

You have no idea what happened that day.

Hey! Stop it.

Come on, Rohit, be a man.

Go to her.

Tell her you want to put an end to this argument.

Should I approach her and apologize?

If I had a girl like her,

I'd apologize a hundred times over.

Then just go.

And get the work done.

We'll handle the rest.

Hello, Mom. - Manu, where are you?

Yes, I’m coming home.

I’ll be home in half an hour.

Okay, be careful.

Don’t worry, Mom. I’ll be home by 12.

Okay, bye.

The number you have called is currently switched off.

Hello! Hello, Isha dear.

Hello aunty. Is everything okay?

Where's Manu, dear?

Manu left the party much earlier.

I thought that there was some emergency at home.

Why? Didn't Manu reach home yet? - No dear. She hasn't reached home yet.

Any idea where she could have gone?

Isha, I'm getting anxious. Her dad too is not here. He's in Delhi.

Aunty, don’t worry. I'll speak with everyone in our group.

Manu will reach any time now. - Please, Isha. Please

talk to everyone and call me back. I'm waiting to hear from you.

Yes aunty. I'll do that. - Yes.

Yes, tell me, Tara.

Hemant, Manu hasn't returned home from the party.

I'm getting very worried. It's 2 at night. Where could she have gone?

Oh dear. She must be with her friends. Don't worry.

I called Isha too. All the children have reached home.

Only Manu hasn't got back home. - Oh! Calm down. Calm down.

Her cab might be having some issue. Don't worry. She'll reach home.

Hemant!

Hemant, her phone is switched off.

I really don't know what to do.

Do one thing. You know the location where the party was held.

Yeah. What was it? It was Fairy land!

Yes, what do you want, ma'am? - I want to go inside.

Ma'am, the hotel was closed at 1.30. There's no one inside.

No, my daughter had come here for a party. I need to check..

Ma'am, the party got over long back. Everyone went home.

I must go inside and check. - Ma'am, please wait. Listen!

Ma'am! Ma'am!

Oh dear!

Tell me Tara! - Hemant, I'm at Fairy land restaurant.

Manu had come here for the party.

No one is here. The restaurant was closed at 1.30. Everyone has gone home.

Manu's phone is unreachable. It's switched off.

Tara, I think we have to go to Police for help.

Police? Why Hemant?

They can track Manu's phone number.

Hemant, I've never gone to a Police station so far.

Tara! You have to go to the Police Station.

Just find out the nearest Police station and go there.

Okay.

Oh God!

What do you want, ma'am?

My daughter hasn't returned home. She had been to a party.

I wanted to register a complaint.

Please meet Mr. Patil.

He is the one who takes down the complaint.

Him? - Yes, please go to him.

Thank you.

Chotu! Go and see that table.

Sir! Sir, my daughter! My daughter!

Sir, my daughter had been to a party!

She hasn't returned home since 2 hours.

Sir, she had called me when she was leaving.

Ma'am, kindly wait.

Calm down first. I'm not able to understand.

Sir, my daughter had been to a party!

It's been 2 hours. She had called.

Will you have tea?

Sir, my daughter hasn't returned home from a party!

It's been 2 hours.

2 hours? - Yes sir.

Oh God!

Sir, she had called too..

Ma'am what kind of joke is this?

It's been just 2 hours. She'll get back.

We can't trust the kids these days.

They are crazy about the party these days.

Sir, what nonsense are you saying? My daughter isn't that kind.

Yes! This is what every parent thinks.

Sir.. Where's your senior? I will talk to him.

Please call your senior. - Ma'am.

I'm the senior officer in charge.

ACP Avinash Khandekar.

Please tell me. How may I help you?

Sir, my daughter is missing.

Did you get the girl's number and photo? - Yes, sir.

Circulate the photo and put the phone number on tracking mode.

Yes sir.

Sir, I'd been there.

I asked the watchman too. But he didn't tell me anything.

I.. - Look, Mrs. Deshpande

please drink some water. - No sir. I'm okay.

Please have some water. - Yes.

Please sit down and have the water.

Mrs. Deshpande, calm down.

Yes sir. - As you saw, your daughter's photo and

number has been circulated by us. - Yes sir.

You don't worry. - Okay sir.

Just a minute. Patil!

Go to the venue where the party had taken place and

get the complete CCTV footage of that place. Okay?

I want the update in the next half an hour? Okay?

Yes sir.

Go.

Thank you so much sir. - No need to thank me. This is my job.

So, I'll wait outside, sir. - In fact, you don't have to wait.

Please go back home.

We will inform you as soon as we get an update.

It's also possible that

your daughter might reach home when you get there.

I hope that it happens so, sir.

It will happen.

You have my number, right? - Yes sir.

You can call me any time.

Thank you, sir. - Okay.

Mrs. Deshpande!

Yes sir. - Your bag.

Oh! So sorry sir.

Can you tell me exactly

what had happened to my daughter?

Manasvi's condition is very critical.

We're trying our level best.

But, there's been excessive internal bleeding.

And there's a possibility of internal infection also.

What does that mean?

Mrs. Deshpande, Manasvi has been

a victim of sexual assault.

What do you mean?

What do you mean exactly?

She's been brutally

raped!

Multiple times.

After the rape, she was hit with a heavy object.

She's lucky to be alive.

No!

According to our sources, this is the place

where the gang rape victim was found in a wounded condition.

We have news that the girl is not out of danger yet.

She's still nearing death and counting here last breath even as we talk.

Will this country ever be safe for women?

Or will the political parties keep

fighting with each other to pass the blame?

We cannot reveal the girl's actual name to you.

But, we will address her as Ragini.

You will get all news updates on her from our news channel.

Sir! Jai hind sir.

Any clues on the crime spot? - Nothing special, sir.

There are blood samples, probably of the girl.

I've sent them to the lab.

There are broad tyre marks here.

That means, it's by an SUV vehicle.

Sir... Please tell us.

Sir! Please tell us. - I want the footage of all CCTV...

cameras in this area. Got it? - Sir! Please tell us something.

What about the CCTV footage at the restaurant?

Sir, the CCTV was out of service.

Wake up the owner of the restaurant

and interrogate him the whole night.

Let him go in the morning.

Anyhow, that guy will get bail in the morning.

Sir, we found this lighter.

SUV!

Imported lighter!

Seems to be the work of the spoilt brat of some affluent father.

Patil! - Sir.

I want these monsters in the lock up at the earliest.

Till we find them

no one can go home.

Come, carry on.

Sir... What do you think? Who's behind this crime?

Tell us your views.

Were you able to get evidence? Please tell us.

Sir! Sir! Please answer the media.

Hello! - Hello, Tara.

Why didn't you come to school today?

Are you doing well?

No. It's Manu..

What's wrong with Manu?

Nothing. She's not feeling well.

I'll call you later.

Tara!

Hemant!

Hemant...

Hemant, Manu..

Please calm down, Tara.

I'm here.

We won't let anything happen to her. Please!

Don't weep! Don't weep!

Do something. So much wrong was done to her!

Why did they do this to her?

Everything will be fine.

I'm here.

Mr. and Mrs. Deshpande! - Yes. Yes.

There's an update for you. Surgery was successful!

The internal bleeding has stopped as well.

Patient is out of danger now.

Manu! Manu!

Mom's here, dear. Don't worry.

Nothing will happen. There's no one here.

Just sleep, okay?

Just sleep, dear.

Manu!

Dear!

Will you please drink a little of this?

You'll feel better. Fine?

I'm sorry to disturb you, Mr. Deshpande.

But, it's very important for us to talk to

Manasvi regarding some matters in this case.

So, if you permit.

Please!

Brother.

Hi Manasvi!

I am ACP Khandekar.

And this is head constable Prateeksha Jadhav.

Manasvi, actually

we need your help.

Do you know

who did this to you?

Manu!

Manu!

Manu!

Can you please tell us their names?

Yes.

Patil! Hurry up!

Come on! Get off the bike!

Hey! How dare you! - Just a minute! Wait a minute!

What's going on here?

What the hell, officer!

You can't enter our house and show your hooliganism here!

Who are you? - I'm his dad!

You'll be ashamed to say that from tomorrow.

What? - Come on!

But what has my son done? - Just handle him.

Rape!

Gang rape!

Attempt to murder.

Das, he is lying!

I'll thrash you! - What rubbish!

Look, surely you've had some misunderstanding.

Take your hands off!

Take your hands off!

We've had no misunderstanding.

We have the victim's statement with us.

Listen, can we sit down and talk?

Don't you worry.

I'll talk to some higher authority above you.

Mr. Jamwal, if you call my seniors or

even God...

these two will not be saved.

Why are you all standing here and looking at us? Come on!

Officer! Officer!

How can you use force on them!

You can't do this!

Did you wipe your back?

Now let me cleanse your sins!

Vikram Bhalla!

What happened, sir?

When you get thrashed with a cane behind your back

you'll understand everything.

Do you know who my dad is?

Do you understand who your father is?

Patil! Get him!

After the growing uproar of anger in the country and

the victim's statement,

Mumbai's Ragini gang rape has a new twist.

Mumbai Police team has arrested all four suspects in this case.

All four suspects are from elite business families.

Their families are politically influential too.

There's only one question in everyone's mind now.

Will justice be served to Ragini?

Mr. and Mrs. Deshpande! There's a good news for you.

All the reports of Manasvi are normal.

You can take her home.

Her wounds are completely healed as well.

There are some wounds that can never be healed too.

Thanks.

Mr. Deshpande

these are some papers related to this case.

I need your and your daughter's signatures on it.

Mr. Deshpande!

Yes, sir.

Signatures.

I need your and your daughter's signatures on it.

Sir, my daughter is being discharged from the hospital today.

Oh, wow!

Good, congratulations!

So, as I was saying

I need both your signatures on these papers.

But you're tired right now

so take these papers at home

read them peacefully and return them to me tomorrow.

Sir,

actually, I will not sign these papers

and neither will my daughter.

Actually, sir, the thing is

we don’t want to file any complaints against anyone.

We don’t want to file this case in court.

We don’t want to go to court.

Whatever happened to my daughter…

Sir, whatever happened to my daughter…

We are just…

trying to accept it…

as a tragic accident. Just leave it.

Mr. Deshpande, I completely understand.

But are you aware that

right now, the entire media and the public of this state

are out on the streets, fighting

for justice for Ragini, the victim of the rape case—your daughter.

And in such a critical situation, if you choose to step back,

how will that be acceptable?

Sir, you’re absolutely right.

It sounds a bit strange to hear.

Let me ask you something.

Has anyone called you?

Have you received any threats?

Listen, even if that's the case,

there’s no need for you to worry.

I’m here for you.

I’ll be available for you 24/7.

I know, sir. Thank you for that, but...

Actually...

We haven’t received any threats,

nor has there been any phone call.

It's just that

I'm worried about my daughter's future, sir.

Please tell me without any fear.

Sir, the fear is about revealing the truth.

Sir

if by mistake, people find out that

the real victim of the Ragini case is my daughter

will she be able to lead a normal life, sir?

Sir, no, it won't happen.

People will keep spreading malicious rumors about her.

Such discussions will continue to circulate in various ways.

I don't want my daughter to go through this, sir.

Mr. Deshpande,

rest assured, nothing of this sort will happen.

Trust me, nothing like this will happen.

We are taking all the necessary precautions.

Your daughter's name will not come out.

How can you say this with confidence, sir?

Because there’s no guarantee that precautions will be taken

from the criminals and their families also, right, sir?

Sir, please, I am very worried about her future.

Sir

I have one request, please.

Keep me and my family away from this court case, sir.

Sir, I trust you understand.

"The mornings now feel restless"

"And the nights bring no sleep"

"The mornings now feel restless"

"And the nights bring no sleep"

Please, come in.

Welcome to your home.

"The waves will reach the shore"

"What feels distant is closer than it seems"

"I confess, it's my heart's own folly"

"May no one ever feel as helpless as I do."

"I confess, it's my heart's own folly"

"May no one ever feel as helpless as I do"

Hemant, shall we go for a long drive?

What was Manu's favorite place?

What was the name of that resort?

Let’s go there. - You go ahead.

I don’t feel like going anywhere.

Alright, no problem.

We can plan it some other time.

Both of us are moving to the USA with Manu too.

I’ve already submitted my visa application.

Forever? - Absolutely.

What else is left here?

I’ve even choose a provable buyer for this house.

Don't worry, I’ve spoken to Mahesh.

You know, Manu, we’re planning to open a supermarket there.

Everything is already set.

Hemant, in just a few days,

the hearing date for Manu’s case...

I mean, for our case... is approaching.

Do you still hold any hope?

Because I’ve completely lost mine.

There are millions of cases still stuck in court.

This court case will drag on

and we’ll keep getting frustrated

and those criminals will roam around freely.

I don’t know about justice

but defamation is certain.

Hemant!

Hemant, I agree that

there are a lot of pending cases in court.

Millions of people still have hope

that one day they will get justice.

Hemant!

Maybe you can move on

from what those boys did to our Manu,

but I never will.

We have to, Mom.

If we don’t move on, people never will.

I want to be remembered for my achievements,

not as a helpless victim of rape.

I want to close this chapter of my life, once and for all, Mom.

So please!

Manu.. Dear!

Darling, silently tolerating a crime is the greatest crime of all.

And what if, because of our silence,

those boys ruin the lives of many more girls?

Manu..

I don’t want any other mother and daughter

to endure

what you and I are going through, darling.

Please, Manu!

"What is lost will eventually be found"

"What is broken will be repaired"

Alright.

If you've all chosen to give up,

then that is your decision.

"This journey of ours, where has it led us?"

But I will never surrender.

Never.

"I confess, it's my heart's own folly"

"May no one else ever feel as helpless as I do."

Be careful, my dear!

"I confess, it's my heart's own folly"

"May no one else ever feel as helpless as I do."

Manu.

Hemant!

The first hearing of the Ragini gang rape case

which has captured the attention of the entire nation,

is set to take place today.

This case will be heard in a fast-track court.

The question remains, Will a fast-track court expedite the proceedings?

My lord, this case is not just about sexual assault and rape.

It unveils the harsh reality of

the undue power derived from societal inequality.

If we don't take strict actions on these criminals today

then common man will lose faith in the legal system of this country.

Objection, my lord!

Perhaps my esteemed colleague, Advocate Vidya Sharma,

has forgotten that

until the crime is proven,

she cannot label the suspect a criminal.

Objection sustained.

Yes, I am sorry, my lord.

But this is an open-and-shut case.

According to the statement the victim gave to the police,

a day before the incident,

one of the suspects, Rohit Jamwal,

forcefully made an advance towards the victim in front of the entire college.

On the same day, Rohit, intoxicated, went to the victim's house,

where he had an argument with the victim's mother.

And after the party, the victim was abducted.

All four suspects were present there in an intoxicated state.

My lord, this case is as clear as glass.

Rape, abduction with force,

and attempted murder.

Under IPC sections 397D,

306 and 366,

we seek the death penalty.

Thank you.

My clients are innocent.

All allegations are false and baseless.

This is part of a big conspiracy.

When I saw Manasvi at the party,

she was extremely intoxicated.

Sir, he is lying.

My daughter doesn't consume alcohol.

Please maintain the decorum of the court.

Sir, having an affair is not inherently wrong.

But an affair with multiple men simultaneously?

Objection, my lord!

There is an attempt to tarnish my client's reputation.

But, sir, that very night, my car was stolen.

I have officially filed a report regarding the car theft

at the Goregaon police station.

Whatever occurred at the college on Valentine’s Day,

Manasvi later threatened Rohit.

She warned him that she would frame him in such a way

that it would ruin his life.

Then,

Rohit went to Manasvi’s house to apologize.

But Manasvi's mother

beat him up badly

and threw him out of the house.

I can easily buy such girls.

Get out from here!

Mom!

My lord!

It’s not wrong to be attracted to someone

or propose to them in college.

There is a way to explain things to teenagers.

To prove that

my client committed this crime

do you have any eye-witness?

No.

Or do you have any strong and biological evidence?

No.

My lord!

Today, I am going to present such solid evidence in this court

that will shake the very foundation of this case.

This is the victim’s blood report.

This is the blood report from that day

when victim was admitted to the hospital

in critical condition.

This report clearly indicates

that on the day

the victim was admitted to the hospital in critical condition,

on that very day,

traces of mephedrone were found in the victim's blood.

Due to the victim's statement under the influence of these drugs,

we cannot ruin the lives of four innocent boys or destroy their careers.

At the same time,

the police have failed

to provide any solid biological evidence in this case to date.

Nothing that would prove

without a shadow of a doubt

that these four boys were responsible

for the rape of that girl that night.

Isha!

Manu..

Isha!

How are you, Manu?

What happened to you is very unfortunate.

But don't worry, we are all here for you.

Tell me, that.. - Wait a minute.

What do you mean by "all of us"?

Does everyone know about me?

But media didn’t mention my name...

Today, you’ll hear the inside story.

Who is the victim in the Ragini rape case?

The victim’s name is Manasvi Deshpande.

This is a forwarded message on WhatsApp.

I’m pretty sure Rohit’s friends must have done this to defame you.

It’s so easy

to just forward any message.

But one forwarded message

can ruin someone's life.

The arguments presented by both sides

and the evidence provided

prove that

the victim was sexually assaulted.

However, it was

these four suspects who committed the crime,

yet not a single

concrete piece of evidence

has been presented to confirm this.

These four suspects

will be acquitted with honor.

The police department will be instructed

to carry out a

thorough investigation

to be completed within 15 days.

The report must then be submitted to the court.

Mrs. Deshpande, don't worry.

We will appeal in the higher court.

We will fight it out.

I am sorry, Mrs. Deshpande.

We gave it our all.

But when one path is blocked,

the journey doesn't stop.

At some point, a new path will reveal itself.

We just need to stay vigilant.

In the Ragini gang rape case,

the four suspects who were arrested

have been acquitted by the court.

Their names are Rohit Jamwal,

Aditya Jamwal, Varun Joshi,

Vikram... - Goodbye, uncle. See you soon.

Bye.

Stay with us.

Okay Manu, I'm leaving.

Are you satisfied now?

Did you get justice?

Mom, you ruined everything.

You ruined my life, mom.

Manu..

Manu, I did all of this for you.. - Why did you do it?

If you hadn't gone to court

this wouldn't have made the headlines, mom.

Look at this.

Look.

Today, you will hear the untold story.

Who is the victim in the Ragini gang rape case?

The victim's name is Manasvi Deshpande.

Today, everyone in this city,

and across the country, knows

that I am a victim of a gang rape.

Mom, I was trying to somehow regain normalcy in my life.

But today, I found out

that my life

will never be normal again.

All of this happened because of you.

You had high hopes of getting justice.

Did you receive justice?

The court has acquitted all four of them.

What will you do now?

High Court, Supreme Court, or something else?

Tara, before we went to court, only we knew about this,

and it would have eventually been forgotten.

But you had to portray yourself as the goddess of justice, didn't you?

I wish, Mom,

you had listened to Dad.

Today, because of your stubbornness,

my life has been shattered beyond repair,

and there is no hope of fixing it now.

Manasvi has been sexually assaulted.

She has been brutally raped.

on that very day,

traces of mephedrone were found in the victim's blood.

These four suspects

have been acquitted with honor.

Did you get justice?

Mom, you ruined everything.

You ruined my life, Mom.

And all of this happened because of you.

If you want justice, call on this number

Hemant.

I'm really sorry, Hemant.

This is all my fault.

No, Tara. Why are you apologizing?

Actually, the fault is mine.

I should've stopped Manu from going to that party.

No, Hemant. It's my mistake.

I insisted on fighting, and that's why all this happened.

I shouldn't have been so stubborn.

What's done is done.

What can we do now?

We can do something, Hemant.

We can hire a good lawyer.

We can take this to the Supreme Court, Hemant.

We'll keep fighting, Hemant.

We won't lose like this... - Oh, for God's sake, Tara!

False hope can help you fight but not win.

Hemant!

Hemant, this...

Hemant!

Hemant! Hemant!

Mom, will we find rat poison in the market?

I’ve heard once you eat it, there’s no chance of survival.

Manu.

Manu, sit down.

Sit down, dear. Please, sit.

Listen. Listen to me.

Look, all this is wrong. Don't think like this.

I know what happened to you

was extremely horrible.

It shouldn’t happen to anyone, dear.

But this is not the way.

Look, don't lose hope.

We will fight. We will fight. Trust me.

Trust? In you?

Your stubbornness has made me go viral.

Manu...

What those four did to me once

with every forwarded message

is now happening thousands, millions of times.

And all this is because of you.

Who all will you fight with now?

Which court will you drag them to?

Manu.

Go from here.

Manu, listen to me... - Go away!

'Advocate Tiwari'

'that for heinous crimes like rape'

'there should be a death penalty?'

'Of course, there should be.'

'But only if such coercion has actually occurred.'

'It’s unfortunate that nowadays, that law is being'

'used to exploit the children from wealthy households'

'First of all, such girls should be punished.'

'Did you get justice?'

'Mom, you ruined everything.'

'You ruined my life, Mom.'

'And all of this happened because of you.'

Hello, sorry, this...

I got this number... - I gave it.

Don't worry. We're just your well-wishers.

In the next two minutes, you'll receive a location pin on your phone.

Get there as soon as you can.

You'll find answers to all your questions.

Hello? Hello...

Hello?

Hello?

Is anyone there?

Hello, Mrs. Deshpande.

You are...

The well-wisher.

You saw all the facts and updates

related to Manasvi’s case on that wall.

Yes, but who is doing all of this and why?

The boss.

The boss?

Because they know justice hasn’t been served to Manasvi.

And the boss wants to help you achieve it.

Can I please meet your boss?

Sorry. Not possible.

You want justice.

Those four need to be punished.

It will all happen.

But who’s going to make it happen?

You.

You will. We’re just here to help you.

I’m sorry, but I really don’t understand anything.

Don’t even try to.

Because right now, our focus should only be on justice.

Manu, do you remember these designs?

We worked so hard on these designs.

We didn’t sleep for three whole nights.

And Manu, the designs you submitted for the competition

D’Souza Ma’am liked them.

She liked them so much

that she wants those designs for her daughter’s wedding.

I said yes.

But now I don’t know where to start.

There’s so much work left to do.

We need to schedule an appointment, budget,

choose fabric, and finalize designs.

Do you have any ideas, Manu? When should we start?

By the way, Manu, our whole gang wants to meet you.

I don’t want to meet anyone.

But Manu,

someday, you’ll have to come out of this shell.

Hi, Isha. How are you?

Hello, Uncle. I'm good.

How are you? - Very fine.

Look, Uncle.

I've been convincing Manu to go out somewhere.

She'll feel a little refreshed. - Super idea.

Manu, actually, I’ll book a table for you both

at your favorite restaurant.

Our whole gang wants to meet Manu.

That's lovely. I’ll book it for everyone, then.

Dad, do you really think

everyone will behave with me

the same way they used to?

Of course, Manu. Why?

I wish...

Mom hadn’t decided to file the case.

The court always trusts evidence.

But sometimes, the presented evidence doesn’t show the truth.

We help uncover that truth.

But why are you all doing this?

Someone has to. We do it. That’s it.

So, Mrs. Deshpande,

we’ve done some basic groundwork on these four individuals.

Among them, the weakest and easiest link to break is

Vikram Bhalla.

Alcohol, girls, and drugs, these are his three weaknesses.

A spoiled brat of a wealthy father.

He spends every day lounging at his friend’s pub.

But what exactly do you want to do?

What do you want?

I want a confession.

If you say we could ask a shooter to… - No, no, please.

I’m a teacher, not a criminal.

I just want to prove in court that

what happened was wrong. That’s it.

Do you think it’ll be easy?

No. It won’t be easy.

But it won’t be impossible either.

Your favorite coffee.

Dad.

Why me?

Dear, I don’t have an answer to that.

You know, your grandpa always used to say,

"See yourself through your own eyes.

Make your own life decisions.

Don’t let others make them for you."

Manu, dear,

what matters more than what others think about us

is what we think about ourselves.

Hey Manu.

What’s the conversation about, huh?

Between dad and daughter?

Include me in your team too.

Manu, what would you like to eat?

Should I make pizza? Pizza?

Please, Mom.

Manu.

Excuse

me? May I?

Oh, of course. Please.

Are you alone?

Oh yes. All alone.

All alone. You?

Actually, a friend was supposed to join me.

She canceled at the last moment.

Good for me.

I mean, if your friend hadn’t canceled,

why would you have talked to me?

By the way, I’m Vikram.

Vikram Bhalla.

I’m Madhu.

Madhu?

I must say, you look gorgeous. - Thanks.

You look killer too.

By the way,

the vibe here tonight is not happening.

Let’s go somewhere else?

Where?

Wherever.

Actually, I know a place.

There’ll be no one else there but us.

Shall we? - Let’s go then.

Here?

What kind of place is this?

Why?

Don’t you trust me?

Let’s go.

You’re not some ghost, are you?

Are you sure this is safe?

Yes. I’m pretty sure.

I’m asking again, are you sure about this place?

Why? Are you scared already?

What will happen to you later?

Forget about fear.

Let’s get straight to the point now.

You’re in such a hurry.

We’ve already wasted a lot of time, dear.

Hey!

What happened now?

Let's do what we came to do.

What happened now?

What the hell!

Look, don't play this game with me. Understand?

Are you crazy? Have you lost your mind?

Stay in your limits, Vikram Bhalla.

Your father might have a lot of money,

but your face screams "rapist."

Talking too much!

Huh?

Do you even know who I am?

Huh?

What the shit is this?

Let me go right now. What madness is this?

You haven't even seen madness yet.

Hey, crazy woman.

You're messing with the wrong guy.

You're the one who messed with the wrong guy.

What did you people think?

That getting out of court

would absolve you of your crimes?

It's already been absolved, madam.

That too, with the court's stamp of approval.

Flailing around won't achieve anything.

And you don't know my dad.

One phone call, and all your defiance will vanish.

Cool, right? The video?

If this video is shown in court,

then neither your father's status nor his money

will be of any use.

This girl brought me here herself.

Who knows?

You know. She knows. I know.

But the court isn't aware, right?

Hey.

I didn't do anything to that girl.

But you did to my daughter!

What?

Look.

What happened was due to intoxication.

And besides, your daughter was being too arrogant.

Huh? Now all her arrogance must have vanished.

I’ll make sure your arrogance vanishes.

You four ruined my daughter’s...

You ruined my daughter's life.

Now I'll destroy all four of your lives.

I feel like slitting your throat and throwing you here.

No, no.

Not so easily.

You four tortured my daughter a lot.

You gave her immense pain.

Now I’ll give you even more pain.

I’ll torment you even more.

You’ll beg for your deaths

like beggars.

Dragging this out further won’t get you anything.

So, let’s settle.

Huh? Name your price.

You don’t have the worth to buy back my daughter's smile.

Then what do you want?

A confession.

From your friends.

If I hand this video over to the police,

you’ll end up in jail.

And your friends will walk free.

But if...

If you get confessions from the three of them,

then I won’t file

a complaint against you.

To save yourself,

you’ll have to sacrifice your friends.

Think about it.

What have you thought about the confession?

What have you thought about the confession?

Listen.

I can offer you money.

An unbelievable amount of money!

Money beyond your wildest imagination.

Please, just let me speak to my father once.

Confession.

I want confession from your friends.

I can't betray my friends.

I’m not asking for your opinion. I’m just telling you.

Either get confession from your friends

or be ready to end up in jail yourself.

You don’t have much time left. Think carefully.

Where were you all night, Tara?

And why was your phone turned off?

I had been to a prayer meet.

I'd offered special prayers for Manu. That's why.

Tara...

You... - Hemant, I'm really very tired.

Can we talk later?

Please? - Wait a minute.

The prayer gathering and offerings are thoughtful, but

what Manu truly needs right now is our love and

emotional support.

We must help her feel assured that we stand by her side.

Sorry, Hemant.

It's okay.

Tara...

Where did you misplace your earring?

Earring?

Are you alright?

Yeah.

I...

The body of an 18-year-old man was discovered this morning in Goregaon, Mumbai.

The name of the young man is Aditya Jamwal.

He is the son of the esteemed industrialist, Ramakant Jamwal.

Yes, he's the same Aditya Jamwal

who was arrested in connection with the shocking Ragini gang rape case

that stunned the entire nation just days ago.

What makes this even more shocking is that

Aditya's body was discovered in the same area

where the gang rape victim, Ragini, was found in a critically injured state.

Set these aside. This needs to be kept close by.

Sir.

Jadhav, take this to the lab.

Sir, but this is a woman's earring.

So what? Who says that a lady can't be a criminal?

Did you find anything else?

Nothing special, sir.

Jadhav, sometimes even the simplest things turn out to be significant later.

The victim of the gang rape was also discovered somewhere in this area, correct?

Yes, sir. Somewhere nearby, within 100 meters.

But sir, how is this case related to the other one?

When did I say there was a connection?

But I also didn't rule out the possibility that they might be connected.

Sir, I believe we may have found a connection.

You four assaulted and destroyed my daughter's life!

Now, I will destroy the lives of all four of you.

You four made my daughter endure immense suffering.

You have caused her unbearable pain.

Now, I will make all four of you experience even greater agony.

I will subject you to far worse pain!

Hey Vicky bro! Where are you, man?

Hello, Goregaon police station?

It's a case of sexual molestation.

No! Please!

I'll speak to him.

Hello! Hello!

Bro, I can't hear you.

Hey, bro.

I'm here with someone right now.

He has really crazy stuff.

It's 100% OG.

Wow!

Original stuff? But where is it?

I'll send you the location. Hurry up.

Vikram! What's happening?

I don't want any stuff. Please let us get away from here.

Hey, just cool down bro.

This woman is insane and capable of anything.

Just let me call my dad, and it'll be the end of you!

Oh, really! How long will you keep using your dad's name for everything?

Why don't you take matters into your own hands for once?

I did do something by myself.

Your daughter was soaring so high.

Haven't I finished her off?

How dare you lay a hand on my daughter?

A mistake deserves punishment.

But there's no punishment for the sin committed by you.

Vikram, you didn't welcome your friend nicely yet.

Vikram! What nonsense is she speaking?

Vikram, go ahead and

welcome your friend nicely.

Think well, Vikram.

Do you value your life, or

your friend's?

Vikram, please let's go.

Listen...

I am truly sorry for what happened.

Just do as I say.

Otherwise, you know what the consequences will be?

Your video will become viral.

Vikram!

Vikram! What are you doing Vikram?

Vikram!

Vikram!

Show me all the reports of the patient.

And make it quick.

Doctor! I am ACP Avinash Khandekar.

Hello.

I had called you regarding Aditya Jamwal's case.

Oh yes! That's right.

Look, the detailed autopsy reports are yet to come.

But primarily, this is a case of drug overdose.

Doctor, did you find any injury marks on his body?

No.

There were no injury marks on the body.

Is it possible that the drug was given to him forcefully?

Yes, that is possible.

But that possibility can be ruled out in this case.

Why?

Because he was a habitual drug addict.

I can say that with certainty after examining his eyes and nasal passage.

Thank you, doctor.

You're welcome.

Dad, I’ve come to terms with myself.

What's the use of asking for the address

when the way to a place is blocked?

Manu, think.

It's nothing like that, please.

Dad, it's exactly like that.

I don't wish to live on false promises now.

We must face the truth someday.

That my life, career, and dreams

have all come to an end.

No! No!

No, Manu!

Nothing is over, my dear.

Everything is just as it was before.

What about me?

Yes, you too.

Even today you are our

little darling Manu.

And what about the others?

What difference does it make?

Dad, it makes a difference.

It makes a lot of difference.

You won't be able to understand.

Mom, stop worrying about me.

Go to the High court and appeal.

Go to the media and give more publicity to this.

I have a wonderful idea.

Let's give an exclusive interview to the news channel.

It will the the first interview of a rape victim.

The channel will get top class rating.

Manu, why are you saying such things, dear?

You spoilt everything.

All of this happened because of you.

If you hadn't gone to the court,

no one would have come to know about it.

I just hate you!

I hate you!

It's an open and shut case, sir.

We took out all reports of Aditya Jamwal.

He was on drugs the whole day.

Probably the dose was higher on that night.

Everyone is familiar with that story.

But is it entirely true?

Yes.

Maybe.

Perhaps.

Patil, we have been assigned to resolve the uncertainty.

Sir, I didn't understand.

No, I was just thinking.

I don't know why I have a premonition that

the killer is probably trying to challenge us.

Sir, once again, there's a possibility.

But, it's also true that

Aditya Jamwal's body was found in the same area

where Manasvi Deshpande was found in an injured condition.

The case isn't as simple...

as it appears.

Sir, what should we do next?

Let's have some tea.

Hello!

Vikram, why did you do this?

Didn't you kill my brother?

Rohit, I...

Rohit! Look, I'll explain everything when I see you.

Brother, please try to understand.

It's part of a dangerous scheme.

I don’t want to hear anything.

I never want to see you again.

Anyway, you'll go to jail now!

Rohit, please don't tell this to anyone.

Please! - Hey, what am I not supposed to tell.

All your deeds are viral over internet, news channels and everywhere.

What?

Rohit!

If all three of them make a confession, then

I won’t file a complaint against you.

To save yourself,

you'll have to betray your friends.

Excuse us, Mrs. Deshpande.

I came to your house without your permission.

That is okay.

Please tell me how I can help you.

Help?

No.

I had come just to inform you that...

About Aditya Jamwal.

I watched on TV. He's dead, right?

It's good that he died.

Don't you think so?

What kind of a question is that?

Simple kind of a question.

Fine. I'll ask you again.

How did you feel when you heard...

about Aditya Jamwal's death, ma'am?

What was I supposed to feel?

Do you think I should have felt sorrowful?

Oh no! Not at all.

Anyway, tell me something.

Where were you last night?

Do you think that I had killed him?

Ma'am, we get paid our salary to think that way.

What are they doing here?

Hemant, they suspect that we might be behind

Aditya Jamwal's death.

What rubbish!

Well, it's good that you were here, Mr. Deshpande.

Your wife isn't telling me.

Can you tell me where you were last night?

Sir, do you even realize who you're talking to?

I'm on duty, sir.

Your duty is to apprehend criminals and see that they're punished.

Which is something someone else is doing.

Trust me, ma'am.

I want to meet that person and express my gratitude.

Well, so that means that you do believe

that we were speaking the truth in the court.

May be.

But you see, ma'am...

Aditya Jamwal's death...

is not a lie either.

Hey Jadhav, Patil!

Don't you think the house looks great?

But the next time we come here,

we'll bring the court orders.

That will be the right thing to do.

Let's go.

There's one thing I want to tell you,

Mr. and Mrs. Deshpande...

I can't stand criminals!

No matter who they are!

No matter who they are!

We'll meet very soon.

Take a look.

That's what it feels like after seeing this. - Patil?

Sir. - Sir.

Are you just going to watch the video, or take some action?

Yes, sir, but this seems to be an entirely different mess.

I told you.

Things are never as straightforward as they seem.

Jadhav, do one thing.

Find out from the cyber cell who exactly uploaded this video.

Yes, sir.

So, sir, does this mean there’s more to this case?

Oh, there’s much more left to uncover in this case.

Now, get to work.

Yes, Mrs. Deshpande.

Who uploaded Vikram’s video?

It was on the boss’s orders, ma’am. I had to do it.

Won’t it be an issue if someone finds out about the source?

Don't worry, ma’am.

We uploaded it using a proxy server from the US.

The boss is very careful about such matters.

Are you sure? - Please don’t worry.

Okay.

Dad, I’m sorry about yesterday.

It’s okay, kiddo. I understand.

Thanks.

Manu.

You should apologize to your mom too. Don’t you think?

Hey, listen.

There’s a mail from the US embassy.

Visa interviews are scheduled for next week.

Dad, do you really think

I can do this?

Of course. 200 percent. Why not?

Hey, kiddo.

Lost in thoughts about the US already?

What a beautiful smile.

Do you know, your smile is my biggest stress buster?

Dad.

I feel like eating something sweet today.

After such a sweet smile, a dessert is a must.

Tell me, what should I order?

No need to order anything.

Because Manu’s mom has brought her favorite dessert.

Ta-da! - Oh wow!

Ice cream.

You know,

it’s okay for a daughter to be mad at her mom.

But being mad at her favorite dessert?

Not fair.

Thanks.

I'm sorry.

There's an email from the US Embassy.

Visa interviews are scheduled for next week.

The exact dates will be clear in a day or two.

And listen.

That police inspector said he’s planning to come back.

I don’t know what’s going on in your mind, but

this police case

shouldn’t impact the visa procedure.

Be careful.

Vikram! Vikram, please open the door, son.

Nothing will happen to you. - Madam.

Madam, where is your son?

He’s inside.

He’s very distressed and not opening the door.

Vikram?

Vikram?

Patil.

Please step back. Step back.

Break it down. Break it.

Vikram? Vikram! - Madam.

Vikram! - Jadhav, outside.

Vikram! - Please come.

Vikram!

Yes, sir. I just came from there.

It’s a clear-cut suicide case, sir.

No, we haven’t identified the reason yet, sir. But I’m on it.

Hail India, sir. Hail India.

Patil. Jadhav.

Two back-to-back deaths

and both are accused in the Ragini rape case.

We’re under immense pressure, and time is short.

Sir, I think we need to keep a close watch

on the remaining two accused in this gang.

Yes, sir. They could be attacked.

No, if there’s another angle to this case

we’ll need to consider that as well.

Investigate all their friends and relatives thoroughly.

Maybe they had a conflict with someone?

Borrowed money from someone?

There could be a drug angle.

We have to explore every possibility.

Sir.

And sir, what about the Deshpande family?

Oh yes.

Do one thing. The girl’s father, Hemant Deshpande.

Keep an eye on him too.

It’s possible he ordered a hit.

Because what appears to be one way

isn’t always the reality. - Isn’t always the reality.

One hundred percent. Let’s get to work.

Mrs. Deshpande.

As you instructed,

we’ve gathered information on the third member.

Varun Joshi.

Son of a prominent stockbroker.

Among this entire gang, he is the most cowardly and timid.

He can't watch horror films alone. Can't stay home alone.

He has an extreme fear of the dark.

A few nights ago, I read about AI technology.

Yes. It's an amazing technology.

Does your boss know any AI technician? Can you call them?

Yes, of course.

But what's the plan?

Hey, this is Som Gandhi. Some Madhubala called me up.

It's Madhumita. Not Madhubala.

Oops. Apologies. What's the assignment?

Follow me.

With the help of AI, we can recreate anyone's voice, right?

But so far, we've only seen voices

of famous people being recreated.

Like singers or actors.

Can we recreate the voices of regular, ordinary people?

Yeah, why not?

We just need to record samples of their voice.

And what if the person is dead?

The law and the police did what they had to.

They did their part.

According to them,

they delivered the justice they thought was right.

But was that justice, Laxmi?

Now I’ll do what

a mother would do for her daughter.

I know what I'm about to do isn’t right. It’s wrong.

But what they did,

what they did to my daughter

was that right?

What the law did to my daughter,

was that right?

Was the police investigation right?

I was in the hospital, Laxmi.

My daughter

my daughter barely survived.

She had so many dreams.

She wanted to do so much.

But everything

everything ended in a single moment. Everything was ruined.

You know, Laxmi,

she hasn’t stepped out of the house in the last two months.

She’s constantly scared

that someone will suddenly come and do the same thing to her.

No.

To correct a wrong,

if something wrong is done,

then it’s not wrong. It’s right.

And I believe that. It’s not wrong.

The rest is up to you. Do what you think is right.

I agree.

I also agree with this, madam.

And tonight is the only chance to right the wrong.

Tonight, his parents are going out somewhere for two days.

Hello.

Hey, Varun. Recognize me?

Who's that? Who's speaking?

Forgot your friend so quickly?

It's Aditya. Your best buddy.

What?

What kind of joke is this?

I’m serious. It’s really me, Aditya.

That's impossible. Aditya is dead.

My body is dead, Varun. But I’m still here.

We all did this together, buddy.

So why should I bear the punishment alone?

What kind of joke is this? Who’s speaking?

Whoever you are, I’m really scared. Please stop this.

I’ve come to take you with me, Varun.

What?

Laxmi! Laxmi!

Where has she gone? Laxmi! Laxmi!

Laxmi! - Varun, what happened?

He’s back. - Who?

He’s back.

Who’s back? - He’s back.

Him. - Who?

He’s back. - There’s no one here.

Come on, Varun. Get ready.

I’ve come to take you.

Please let me go. I don’t want to come.

Please leave me. Let me go.

Yo bro, come on. Come with us.

Are you going to rot here alone?

We’ll chill together, man.

Come on, come on, come on.

No, I don’t want to go. Please let me go.

For God’s sake, leave me, please.

For God’s sake, leave me. Please let me go.

Let me go.

Laxmi, no! Don’t open it. Don’t open it.

They’ve come to take me. Please don’t open it.

No, don’t. Don’t open it. Please.

Don’t worry. I’ll check.

Varun Joshi?

Over there.

Varun?

Yes, yes. Sir, please save me.

Sir… - One minute.

Sir, please save me.

They’ve come to take me, sir. - Who?

Who? Who are they?

Sir, the spirits of Vikram and Aditya are here.

They’ll take me away, sir. Please save me.

Are you saying that the spirits of your friends

have come to take you? - Yes, they talk to me.

They say, Why should we suffer alone?

Suffer? Suffer for what? What did you do, Varun?

I’ll tell you the whole truth, sir. Please get me out of here.

Please save me, sir. - Yes, yes. Come, come.

I don’t want to die, sir. - I’m here, aren’t I?

No one will harm you. Come with me.

Come on. - Sir, please save me.

Varun Joshi’s confession has raised many questions.

Was the Ragini gangrape case investigation flawed?

Or was there any pressure on the

Mumbai police to not investigate properly?

Sir.

Even when the court released the suspects, we got the blame.

And now someone is confessing, and we still get blamed.

Yes, sir.

I can’t figure out what’s right and what’s wrong.

There’s no right or wrong.

Only your intentions need to be right.

If doing the right thing requires

doing something wrong, it’s not wrong.

That wrong becomes right.

It’s very complicated. - It’s very complicated.

Once your uniform gets older, you’ll understand everything.

What the hell is going on, officer?

Why are your men after my son?

Mr. Jamwal.

Please sit.

Go.

Please sit. Please.

Water? - No, thanks.

I thought you’d know, Mr. Jamwal.

Your son has done something incredible for the country.

We want to give him a medal.

That’s why we’re looking for him.

This is not funny, officer.

No?

Your son is wanted in a brutal gang rape

and attempted murder case.

That’s what his friend says.

It’s not necessary that it’s true.

And it’s not necessary that it’s false either.

You see, Mr. Jamwal.

My hands are tied.

When it comes to these rapists,

I feel like

putting a gun between their two eyes.

But the uniform doesn’t allow it. That’s the problem.

Don’t you dare touch my child.

Child?

This child of yours

He is the prime suspect in a gang rape case.

If you know where he is, please tell me.

I’m saying this for his own good.

Otherwise, the public is out there looking for him.

If they get their hands on him,

you'll have to carry him back in a sack.

It’s your duty to protect him.

And yet, you’re talking like this?

I can directly speak to the Commissioner.

Hurry up. Commissioner, Chief Minister, Home Minister.

I just need an email from someone.

I’ll immediately call off the search operation for Rohit.

Okay. Tell me, how much?

I’ll give you so much money

that you couldn’t even dream of it.

We’re not even allowed to dream.

We just follow orders.

Now look,

your son is a rapist.

I knew that.

Yet, we followed orders and let him go.

Now someone has testified against your son.

We’re following orders again and searching for him.

Right?

And as for your money, Mr. Jamwal,

shall I give you some advice?

You

take all your extra money,

and...

Make a pickle out of it.

You see,

in jail, the food is very bland.

That pickle will come in handy for your son.

Nice meeting you.

Yes, Prakash? Tell me.

What? Let me check.

In the Ragini gangrape case that occurred a few months ago,

a shocking development has come to light today.

All four suspects in the case

were acquitted due to lack of solid evidence in court.

However, one of them, Varun Joshi,

went to the Goregaon police station and confessed.

Surprisingly, in his statement, Varun also named

the sole heir of the Jamwal Group of Companies,

Rohit Jamwal.

Mom.

Sorry.

Hey Anshuman, listen up.

I need your help.

Don't worry. You won't get into a problem with police.

Listen.

Don't worry! My dad will manage everything.

Hello! Hello!

Madhu, please try to understand. I don’t have the time.

The US visa appointment could be scheduled at any moment.

Then I..

But these are orders from the boss, ma'am.

We have to wait for few days.

The media and police are on full alert. Everyone has eyes on this case.

Any wrong move at this time can cost us a lot.

I don't really care. - But we do.

Madhu, please let me talk to your boss once.

I'll explain our situation to him.

And then.. - I'm sorry, Mrs. Deshpande.

You can't speak to him. It's a protocol.

Fair enough.

As you wish. But I can't wait any longer.

I want to ensure that justice is served for my daughter before I leave for the US.

And to hold the criminals accountable.

You are free to proceed, Mrs. Deshpande.

Madhu, thank you so much. I truly mean it.

I'm really thankful to you for all the help

you extended to me and my family so far.

Take care.

Madhu!

I had got this for your boss.

I thought of giving it personally to him

when I met him.

I can never forget whatever he has done

for me and my family.

He helped all of us as though we were his own family.

Please give this to him.

Thank you so much, Madhu.

For everything. I truly mean it.

Take care, Mrs. Deshpande.

No, Mr. Mehta.

Your investment is my responsibility.

Your return will definitely start from the next quarter. Don't worry.

Yes, I'm here. Thank you.

Manu! - Good morning, dad.

Good morning.

You're looking so fresh today.

Thanks.

I slept so well after a very long time.

I'm so happy for you.

Dad, can I ask something?

What do you want to eat? Pasta!

Or your favourite Pizza.

No dad. - I'll order just now.

Can we go out somewhere?

Of course, we can. Just name the destination. Singapore!

Europe? Dubai?

Panchgani.

Panchgani?

Yeah. Do you remember, we had gone there 2 years back, dad.

It was such a beautiful bungalow.

It was so peaceful there.

No traffic or chaos and very far from here.

You remember that even now?

Shall I book now? - Yes.

But on one condition. You'll have to drive.

Oh! Of course.

Baby.

Shall we take mom along too?

Jai Hind sir.

Yes.

Okay.

Location?

Okay, thank you, sir.

Sir, we have some news. - Go ahead.

Rohit Jamwal's phone has been activated.

The location is Arya Colony. - What happened?

Sir, Rohit Jamwal's phone has been activated.

The location is Arya Colony.

Great! Both of you leave for that place with the team.

Tell the cyber cell to continuously monitor the location of his phone.

Hurry up! Leave immediately!

Hello. - Where are you?

Hemant, I just stepped out for some work.

Listen, come home right away.

What happened? Is everything alright?

Manu wants to go outside after so many months.

We've planned to go to Panchgani.

I hope I'm also

part of your plan, Hemant.

Of course, Tara.

Come quickly. We need to leave. - I'll reach just now.

"It's hard to travel slowly"

"So let's go fast."

"In the corner of my eyes"

"Let me see the spring"

"We are off to see the spring"

"In the roads that hum a song"

"My heart is racing fast. What am I to do now?"

"If there's time, allow me to live"

"If there's pain, let me bear it"

"My wishes are unknown to me. What can I do now?"

Welcome sir. - Hello.

Welcome ma'am.

My boss informed me that you would be arriving.

The bungalow is all set for you. - Alright.

Feel free to contact me if you need anything.

You have my number, right? - Yes, I do.

Badal!

Ask someone to take sir's luggage inside.

Thank you. Please continue.

Manu, hurry up and get ready. Let’s head out quickly.

Dad, I want to rest now.

Hey, come on!

If she wants to rest, let her do that.

We agreed to follow Manu's decision. - Alright.

Would you like some coffee?

Just a moment.

You’re not allowed to enter.

Call them.

There’s no one home. Please leave.

I need to talk. Call them now!

Didn’t I already tell you? There’s no one here.

Everyone’s gone to Panchgani for the vacation.

Where did they go? - They’ve gone to Panchgani, sir.

If you are not speaking the truth..

Hemant, isn't it strange?

I mean, everything changes in one moment.

There was a time when we used to talk endlessly.

We just couldn't stop.

And look at us now.

We've been sitting together for ages, but

there's nothing left to say.

I have no idea when this huge distance crept in between us.

No, Tara. It’s nothing like that.

Actually...

I’ve been feeling really guilty.

Guilty? Why?

I decided to move to the US without even asking you.

I know.

I would have definitely felt nice if you had asked.

I'm sorry for that.

But I was angry and

did it for Manu..

Whatever you did was for Manu.

I know that. It was for our family.

You did the right thing, Hemant. You were right.

Can I tell you something honestly? - Of course.

When I shared this with you,

I don't know why, but it feels like a huge burden

has been lifted off my chest. Truly.

The weight on the heart!

What are you thinking?

I'm just trying to figure out

how to lighten the weight on my heart.

It's simple! Just share whatever's on your mind.

I don't know, Hemant.

I don't know if you will be able to understand or not.

No! No! Seriously,

I'll try to understand. Tell me.

Hemant, if I tell you that I've done

certain things, that are very bad..

I mean

from the society's point of view, it's a crime.

So, despite knowing about it

will you be able to forgive me?

I think I know what you are talking about.

But, some things are better when

they are not spoken out.

Tara, whatever you did

was something that I wanted to do.

But I couldn't muster the courage.

You had the courage.

And for that, I'm very proud of you.

And I love you.

Thank you, Hemant.

Thank you.

Manu's phone?

Manu!

Manu!

Hemant! Hemant! Hemant!

Hemant! What happened?

Help! Hemant!

Go and save Manu. Go! - What happened to Manu?

He had come and took her away by force. Rohit Jamwal!

No Rohit!

Baby, why are you scared?

Anyway, you are already experienced.

Please Rohit. Please leave me alone.

Mom! - Oh! So now you are requesting.

Do one thing. Call your mom.

Call her! - Please Rohit, leave me!

Manu!

Manu!

Manu!

Manu!

Manu!

Manu!

Manu!

Manu!

Manu!

Manu!

Manu!

Rohit! Leave my daughter!

Hey!

Rohit!

You were so hell bent on sending me to jail, right?

First, you killed my brother.

Then you killed my friends.

Now see what I do to her before your eyes.

Rohit! - Don't touch my daughter!

Manu!

Come over here. - Go.

Hey!

Rohit! - Take one step forward,

and I'll send her straight to her father.

Do you want to see what I did to her that night?

Shall I show you live now?

Watch closely. - No, Rohit!

No, Rohit! Please, no! Rohit!

No, Rohit! - Rohit!

Hey! Step back!

Manu!

Go back now!

Mom!

Rohit!

Easy!

I won’t let you leave here alive. I’ll kill you!

Mrs. Deshpande! Please, calm down.

No, sir! Don’t interfere in this.

What did you think?

You could get away with hurting my daughter?

And walk away unpunished?

I’ll never let you go. Never!

Mrs. Deshpande! Put the gun down.

No, sir!

I’ve already sent your friends to hell.

And now, it’s your turn!

I'll kill you! I'll kill you.

Mrs. Deshpande! Think about yourself.

Think about your daughter's future.

I don't want to think anything, sir.

Hey!

Mrs. Deshpande! Please leave that gun.

No sir. I won't let him go.

I'll kill him, sir! I won't spare him!

I'm not asking you to spare him.

I'm just telling you to put down the gun. - No!

If you want to kill him, use my service gun.

I'll take care of the rest.

Here, take it. Go ahead, take it!

Sir! - Take it!

Hey!

Sir, let's strike a deal. I'll pay you money.

Sir, she's insane! She’ll kill me!

Mrs. Deshpande!

We don’t have much time. Kill him now!

Sir, please don’t leave! She’ll kill me!

Hey! Drop the gun! Down! Down!

Manasvi has been subjected to sexual assault.

She was brutally raped.

Mom, shoot him!

No! - Mom, shoot him!

Mom, pull the trigger!

I brought this for your boss.

Please hand it over to him.

You...

You... The boss...

Mrs. Deshpande, I told you,

a journey doesn’t end just because one path is closed.

What matters is to keep moving forward.

Another path will reveal itself.

God bless you.

I love you mom.

I love you too.

I love you too.
