(Ten years ago) Do you want the fatty one or the lean one?

Anyway, let's go for the fatty one.

It's tastier.

If it's lean meat, it's easier to build muscles.

Forget it. Don't bother about it.

I'll take half fatty and half lean.

Excuse me.

Hello, sir.

Half fatty and half lean.

I'll have this piece.

Also,

I'm waiting at your coaching class's entrance.

You'll see me when you come out.

How much?

Fifteen and a half, sir.

Make it fifteen. I'll come again.

Alright, sir.

Here's a little extra for the tip.

Sure.

Thank you, sir.

Sir, take your time.

(Sour and Spicy Beef Noodle Soup)

Hello?

(Lin Ke) The connection has been established.

(Investigator in Hanbei City, Xixia Province) For now, it's pretty safe.

If nothing unexpected happens,

I should be

meeting Gu next month.

If something feels off, withdraw immediately.

You've got to listen to me on this.

How's Yihan doing?

Yihan is already in sixth grade.

He has been thinking of you every day,

but he doesn't say it out loud.

He will be

changing schools soon

and has already

left the family housing.

He's definitely not thrilled

about changing to a new environment.

Tell him

that I miss him a lot.

On the table,

it's his twelfth birthday present.

Please give it to him for me.

Lin Ke, don't worry.

As long as I'm around,

I won't let him suffer.

Yihan.

Who did this to you?

Come, I'll deal with them.

Someone insulted my mom.

I need to call my grandpa.

Mr. Zhang?

Hello?

Mom, I know it's you.

Why did you...

Yihan.

Uncle Cheng.

Does my mom not want me anymore?

Of course not, Yihan.

How could that be?

Your mom told me

that she thinks of you every day.

Look at this.

This is specially mailed by your mom.

It's your twelfth birthday gift.

Isn't it?

But remember,

your mom made a mistake.

She got dismissed.

So,

don't tell anyone from now on that you're the son of a police officer.

Understand?

Yihan.

Yihan.

(Self-Reflection Report)

(I lost Hanbei Public Security Bureau's reputation)

(Resignation Letter)

(Loyalty and justice)

(Chief of CID's Office)

Come in.

Captain Duan.

Gun is calling.

In these past two months, he hasn't called at any other time.

It's an unknown number,

(Unknown number) so it can't be traced.

(Can't talk now. Not convenient.)

Oh ya, Captain Duan.

There's this too.

(Master)

This was just sent by Master.

(Cheng Fan)

Hello?

Master.

Captain Lin Ke should still be alive.

Where did you get this information?

I just received a text message.

The sender's traits

completely match hers.

I've already sent her phone number

and that information

to the tech investigation unit.

It's also on your phone now.

I called back again,

but nobody answered.

How sure are you?

100% sure.

It can only be her.

Captain Duan.

My master provided this number from overseas.

It can't be precisely located.

This pattern

looks like a constellation.

Scorpio.

She wouldn't mean this, right?

The information from Captain Lin shouldn't be unclear.

We really need to think this through.

Does this pattern signify something else?

The first line...

The first line was a secret code agreed upon with Captain Lin

when I first joined the police force back then.

As for the marking in the second line,

I really don't recognize it.

I'm unsure.

Because

all the secret codes

don't match this symbol.

Could it be forged?

(Impossible.)

Because this secret code

is only used between us two.

(Cheng Fan.)

(An officer who left us ten years ago)

and disappeared for five years.

What does her sudden reappearance mean?

(There are two possibilities.)

(Either she's still that Lin Ke)

or there's another possibility.

She's being coerced or manipulated

into deliberately misleading us.

But I believe she wouldn't do that.

Please wait for me.

(Cheng Fan.)

On this matter,

Being calm

is more important than trust.

Master.

I've been calm for five years.

I believe she's still alive

(and still out there.)

(Chief Tai)

Hello?

Come to my office immediately.

I'm writing my self-reflection report.

Right now!

Come in.

How's it going?

No progress still.

(Resignation Letter)

Have you thought it through?

Absolutely.

Master.

Where's it from?

Is it from my mom?

This is an anonymous message

we just received.

After initial assessment,

it might be related to your mother.

Do you understand what it means?

This symbol represents me.

On what basis?

Give me a moment.

Xiaowan, I swear.

Really.

I'm in a real hurry here.

I can't help it.

Give me three hours, okay?

Just three hours.

Once I return,

I'll kneel and apologize.

Okay? I'll make it up to everyone.

Don't worry.

I'll keep you posted.

Hey, don't hang up yet.

Uncle.

What?

Call me Master.

Master.

Any luck?

This was a birthday present

from my mom on my twelfth birthday.

The symbol has two meanings.

It all represents me.

Isn't it the same

as the Scorpio symbol?

First,

it's because I'm a Scorpio.

Secondly, it's because of my dad.

His name is Chu Ming.

Ming starts with the letter "M".

When I was a kid, I always followed my dad around.

So my mom said I was his little tail.

"M" with a little tail,

which is this symbol.

This is the code word

you and my mom agreed on back then, right?

It means

prepare for action.

Right?

So the message from Captain Lin Ke

was

"Prepare for action,

Chu Yihan".

How can a mother

be willing to let her son take risks?

Are you sure that's what she meant?

There's no mother

who would willingly harm or deceive her own child.

So, I believe

if Captain Lin Ke relayed such information,

there must be substantial reasons behind it.

I'm confident

in handling this mission.

Go back for now.

Half an hour later,

I'll tell you the result.

Chief Tai.

There are only three doubts now.

One.

Is Captain Lin Ke still alive?

Two.

Is Captain Lin Ke still on our side?

Three.

If the above two points are correct,

whether the message she conveyed

was based on her own will

or under coercion,

I believe I need to infiltrate to verify it.

Enough.

Go out first,

and close the door.

You deaf?

Go out.

Three doubts.

Go ahead.

I think Captain Lin Ke

is still alive.

Whether she is on the dark side or not,

as a mother,

she wouldn't

risk her son's life.

Most importantly, she's Captain Lin Ke.

But,

why couldn't she just

send the message to Chu Yihan?

Think about it.

If she had sent it to Yihan,

it would have become a private matter between mother and son.

It would have made sense if she had sent it to me,

as I was in charge of the case then,

right?

If she had sent it to me,

it could have been seen as a decision-making suggestion.

Master.

I've changed my mind.

I think we should

respect Captain Lin Ke's suggestion

and let Yihan go.

But, I have something to add.

What?

Yihan's operation

will at most last

until we tighten the net.

By then, regardless of success or failure,

Yihan must come back.

Well.

He shouldn't go still.

But,

there's no one else.

Anyone can only hold out for so long.

As soon as this timeline is stretched,

it's the end of the line.

Now, Yihan is in his early twenties.

His current mindset

is that of a gamer's mentality.

He doesn't know

this game isn't cool at all.

It's only cruel.

So our operation

must be completed within the boundaries of Hanbei.

We have to capture Gun

and even

Gu Mulan.

Master, don't look at me like that.

I'm only here to help out.

After helping out,

I'll go back to Vice Squad.

Come in.

Long Qi's phone has been ringing.

This is the third time.

(Unknown number)

Speak.

I'll hang up if not.

(Unknown number: 17 Tianshan South Road. Mercedes-Benz van. Don't be late!)

(What if it's my brother?)

(It's just a guess.)

Yeah?

(You're not cautious.)

Yeah, not cautious.

(If I did this job,)

(I would do better than you.)

(I've investigated three of your crime scenes.)

(There was only one perpetrator.)

(So,)

(do you want to take the blame yourself,)

(or do you want to drag him down with you?)

(I killed those people.)

Hello?

Where are you?

(Almost there.)

You've picked a crappy place.

It's a black car.

The plate number is Xia A89DE1.

I see it.

Get in.

Captain Duan, the suspect is here.

Where are you?

(Get in the car.)

Why are you hiding?

Drive.

I'm Li Tianlong.

You can call me Long Qi.

Stay still!

(Help)

Hello?

Who is this old man?

How would I know?

Where are you?

(Drive.)

I'm asking where you are!

Just drive.

Drive.

Drive the car over. Hurry!

Stop the car.

Drive.

Who are you?

Put the gun down.

Police?

Put it down!

Hurry up.

Mister.

Since it's cold,

why not put on another jacket?

Here. Put this on.

It fits you well.

Warmer now?

Guys, be cautious.

There's an elderly man and a bomb in the car.

Have a warm pack too.

Take it easy.

Relax.

Stop the car.

Captain Duan.

They're heading south.

Qiao Dan, continue the chase. I'll handle things here.

Stop the car.

Mister, don't be afraid. We're police.

- Call the bomb disposal team. - Yes, sir.

Relax.

It's okay.

Gun.

Li Tianlong.

Call me Long Qi.

Meeting you is not easy.

I had to sacrifice an old man.

Is he one of yours?

Why worry about him?

The police will save him.

Are you nervous?

They should be the ones nervous.

Mister, don't be afraid.

I'm here.

Stay still.

How much time do we have left?

The bomb disposal team will be here in an hour.

Hands up.

Lift your arms.

Take it slow.

Don't be afraid.

Get out of the car.

What?

Li Tianlong.

Lower your gun.

You all put your guns down first.

Get in the car!

(Yihan.)

(We'll set up roadblocks based on the location of your tracker.)

(If he's carrying firearms,)

(you need to gain his trust.)

(Ensure safety)

(and perform the gunfight scenes well.)

(I'll find a chance to injure Gun.)

(You then take him to Chengbei Clinic.)

(We'll find out whether he's a friend or a foe.)

This man

is Zhang Yu.

He's one of Gun's men.

He was the one who wanted to die with me

back then.

He's the only one we have information on around Gun.

Li.

Patch him up here.

Sure.

How long

can this thing hold up?

If he showers,

it's about three days.

It can hold up for three days.

Only three days?

A sticker holds up better than this.

Anything else that lasts longer?

Stickers are different.

They are for one-time use.

This scar needs to be made on the spot, and it has to look aged.

Three days, Yihan. Remember that.

Regardless of the outcome,

you must return after that.

Captain Duan!

Are you okay?

How are you feeling?

Did they leave?

Yes, they left.

How was my reaction to getting shot just now?

Captain Duan.

You acted convincingly just now.

That was actually painful!

This brat

holds a real grudge.

He shot me three times in a row.

Let's go.

Actually, I'm fine.

I'm a martial arts expert. I tell you.

It's nothing. I don't feel pain.

Nana.

If I train for a few more months,

I'll be tougher than that.

By the way,

don't you think

the guy in black is quite handsome?

- (...on Tianshan South Road.) - What's he called again?

(The suspect, Li Tianlong,)

(alias Long Qi,)

(is 23 years old. He's a native of Lanchuan City, Hexi Province.)

(Anyone with information should contact the police promptly.)

The suspect, Li Tianlong?

Hey.

(Nana.)

My friend has asked around.

Those guys who harassed you

all have criminal records.

This time,

they're in for trouble.

Are you both okay?

Yeah.

Luckily,

the security came in time.

Good to hear.

However,

your sister is worried about you.

She wants me to bring you back to Kalisha as soon as possible.

I

still need to take care of something.

If you're done, you should go back earlier.

Okay?

Okay.

My work will be done...

I should be able to return by Saturday.

Great.

Alright.

Talk to you later.

(Sure.)

Goodbye.

Bye.

(Desert Rhythms)

(Mr. Ji, your application is approved. Call 6589312 for further discussion.)

(Hello.)

(Is there anything I can help you with?)

Hello.

I'm Mr. Ji.

I contacted you before.

Yes.

I'd like to sponsor this event anonymously,

but I have two requests.

First,

I get to choose the performers.

Second,

there must be a giant poster

showcasing the performers

on the event venue's screen.

Is that okay?

(Chengbei Clinic)

Get out.

You go in first.

(Acupuncture, Gua Sha)

Hello.

What can I do for you?

It's bleeding.

How did you get this?

Gunshot.

Do me a favor.

Don't call the police right away.

Thank you.

What now?

Be your escort?

Why?

Are you in a hurry?

Of course. I need to make money.

Go back in there then.

That female doctor.

500,000.

Now.

Now?

That's why I offer this amount.

If we're doing this, we're going full in.

Sure.

500,000

for each man.

Only one bullet left.

That's tricky.

How about this?

Use your hands.
